MORGANTOWN MEETUP - THIS FRIDAY!

This probably doesn't apply to a handful of you, but I figured I'd make a journal anyways.
A handful of West Virginia furs (and some Maryland furs) will be meeting up at the Morgantown Mall this Friday (25th) around 3:30 or 4 in the food court. From there, we'll grab some food, get to know each other, and possibly walk around together.
Once we're finished there, we'll head to the bowling alley for a fun night of fursuit bowling!
Bring your suits, tails, collars, badges- whatever!

Today is my first day of vacation. I've had a very stressful week, so I apologize for not getting to everything.
I got in a huge car accident last Thursday and have been having a hard time recovering mentally from the whole thing. It was very traumatic and scary for me. My best friend, mother, and sister were all in the car, and their mom fell asleep at the wheel, causing us to hit head-first into a guard rail going 70mph. No one was severely hurt, but it's been hard trying to stop replaying the whole thing in my mind. Life definitely flashes before your eyes in those situations...
Second, I've had to deal with my work, and it's been hectic. My boss is trying to get me to do commission stuff for the place, so that's also been a hastel.
So, I just need some time to relax. I'm sorry that I have to push back some stuff, but a good rest is needed.
I'm also trying to finish up my tshirt for the
savannimals tshirt contest!

Posted 11 years agoI've finally arrived back home for the Summer. I'm having so many mixed emotions... Part of me is happy, but the rest wishes to be back in Savannah.
I miss all my friends like crazy. I have only a handful here in Maryland anymore. I'm going to attempt to make it to some of the WV and MD fur meets, but it might be difficult with my work schedule.

TO ALL MY FRIENDS / RANTING -Final Journal for SCAD 2013-14-
Posted 11 years agoThis has been the craziest 2 weeks of my life, and it's coming down to the final week...
I have 4 days of school left, meaning less than 100 hours left until I'm completely finished my first year at SCAD.
To be honest, I can't believe it.
After months of holding back emotion, last night was my breaking point. There's just been too much going on to hold it all back.
What broke me was during the Kigurumi Party yesterday, we watched Dinosaur, and in the first 5 minutes, a lemur shows up. Someone shouted, "Hey, it's Pager!"
I honestly fought back tears for a minute.
Around 11:30, everything came crashing down. I realized how much I've learned in 30+ weeks of being in Savannah.
I've made more friends than I thought was possible.
I've felt like I actually belong.
I've had experiences I only dreamed of as a kid.
I've become such a different person.
I've grown into a woman who is confident in herself and much more independent.
I'm slowly realizing who I am.
This week is going to be crazy, but I'm going to try and enjoy it as much as I can.
To everyone out there that I've met and who has helped me through this trec of the journey... thank you.
pager, I'm going to miss you so much. I've hardly gotten to hang out with you one on one, but I just feel like I've known you for years. You remind me so much of my older brother and you can always make me smile. You're always willing to get into suit and do stupid and crazy things, and it lights up my world to know I'm not the only one that enjoys it. I'm going to miss you so, so much. I'm going to try extremely hard to go to FWA, especially so I can hang out with you again. Miss you a lot buddy. If you ever need anything, let me know. <3

ashene, Geesh. Where do I even start. We've gotten so close in a few short weeks, but I feel like I've known you for years. I find it funny how far we've come since we first met back at the Valentine's day meet. I know you a lot better since then, obviously. You're such a tenderhearted and caring young man, and I couldn't ask for a better friend or boyfriend. <3 Every moment with you, I never want it to end. I feel so comfortable with you, and I just love to watch and learn more about who you are every time we hang out. You're so confident and kind that it makes me smile. You care so much about me that it drives me wild. I love that look you give when I'm about to do something crazy, but I know you'll keep watch over me. I just feel so safe and adored by you. I don't want to leave you in Savannah... but I know we'll see each other again soon enough. :D I can't wait to see what adventures lie ahead for us and what God has in store. <3 You mean so much to me, Ash. Over summer I'll be taking a fursuit (partial) commission to help get some money. If you're interested, by any chance, please let me know! I'll give you a quote / estimate on how much I'll change if you send me a reference. It'll be much less than your average fursuit maker (anywhere between 300 and 600).
Also, hopefully I'll have enough time and money to make my first fullsuit as well.
I won't be extremely active in the next few weeks, but I'll definitely be thriving once summer hits!

Posted 11 years agoFirst of all, thanks to everyone who commented on my previous journal. I apologize for posting something so dramatic - usually I tend to stay away from those sort of posts- but I guess it really got to me.
Anyways, school has started once again, and I'm swamped again, so you probably won't be hearing a lot from me. I check my messages almost everyday, though, so if you'd like to send me something, just hit me up. :)

No one seems to care that I wasn't there. But, I guess that's just how it goes....
The lone-wolf sona fits me rather well. I guess that's why I picked it.

Opinions? Help please?! Or just a few words of encouragement
Posted 11 years agoI really need some help, or just words of encouragement I guess...
I posted a picture of my sona, Celeste, as a chibi on instagram a few hours ago. Soon after, I got a few comments on there tagging another suiter who has a character very similar to mine, and she's rather upset about it. I just wrote back and explained to her that I've had my character a long time (3 years now) and that I didn't steal her design. It just so happens that they have similar patterns, wings, and the exact same colors (besides black).
I guess it just makes me upset that she assumes I stole her design when I've actually had this character for over 3 years.
So... help, anyone? What do I do if she doesn't believe me? :/
