September kinda slammed me with more work than I was anticipating, so I'm still working through Summer commissions.

For those having not already read the spiel already, with a couple other charizard fans, we put together a little Discord server to help promote the organization of commissioning of artwork of the charizard evolution line! This will be year two of celebrating Charizard Tri-Day from September 28th to the 30th!

Going off of Kale's idea to push for three days of char celebration as opposed to one, we're hoping that we get a nice handful of folks who might be willing to take part in having a bit of fun and sharing about artwork they've commissioned in the weeks leading up to September 28th-30th, with the first day being the anniversary release of Red Version in North America.

We welcome anyone and everyone who is familiar with contributing to the flow of creative arts around the fandom, from artists and writers, to commissioners and the like! Currently we're getting ideas together for group commissions and looking about for artists to commission!

FAQ
1. Do I need to have a char-based character to join?
Nope! So long as you've a solid appreciation for the char-line you're good! It's a perfect time to find a char buddy to split a pic with!

2. I'm unable to take part in any artwork for this year, can I still join?
Yes, you may still join in! Although we are looking for those familiar with engaging in the process, there is no requirement to need to commission or produce anything! There are channels for sharing artwork in the server; if you happen to find some artist who's open that does a great job with chars, we definitely would like to see 'em!

3. Do I need to be in the server to celebrate?
No! The server is mostly for people to share artwork, artists, and ideas that might result in some char-focused commissions! The more people that part-take the better! Here are some general guidelines we put out last year for taking part! They're not strict guidelines, but they definitely did help with getting people to spread the word when the days did come around!

Just a follow up to the reamended 2.7

After seeing the band-aid fix and damage control rhetoric of this latest update, I really don't feel the admins here are acting in good faith for the community. I'm not gonna rant about what should be done or what site features and policy would actually protect minors. There are folks who are much more insightful about that kinda stuff and I just don't have the time to be spending extra hours in comment sections. FA has made it pretty clear they will run this update through regardless of the community backlash.

With that said, my gallery will still be here. I've honestly had a really nice increase in following here and I'm very thankful for that! <3 This site has seen minimal improvements over the past decade and I'm sure folks who've been here for much longer than I can confirm it has been stagnant for far longer.

FA will be more of a secondary gallery for me as opposed to my primary one. From now on, I'll be most active on Itaku. All my recent uploads will appear there first and I'll be working to upload the rest of my FA gallery over there over the next week. After this commission cycle, you'll find my most relevant and up to date info regarding commissions and such there as well! So if you like my art and want to support me and the community, please consider making an account there! I guarantee most of your other favorite artists are there too! ;3

Like the majority of nsfw artists here, I'm disappointed by the policy changes FA is planning. Nothing in my gallery is meant to depict minors, but I will be going through and making sure all the art fits their subjective standards. It's weird to me how they'll tout about using proportions and anatomy as a guide for what's acceptable when art styles and clearly break the rules of human anatomy on so many levels, especially for styles toonier than my own.

In any case, I won't be leaving. I do this full time and this is my most established gallery (My twitter is more popular but that def doesn't count as an actual art site) While I don't fear my gallery or account will get hit, I know plenty of friends and artists alike whom this will effect. The new policy is going to hurt a lot of artists who would never be considered as drawing CP or anything minor related, because the new guidelines encompass so many species that human anatomy just doesn't apply to.

Oh yeah, and the new species ban list that never existed is now public... lmao

I hope they'll walk it back and realize just how much the community dislikes the proposed changes. There's literally no way they can spin this into a positive change given the overwhelming negative feedback. I'm already seeing several artists I know starting delete art that has no implications of minors, but they'll do so to avoid getting banned because their lives rely on their galleries and community outreach.

I'd like to have high hopes for this site, but as time goes on, this place continues to fall further in the past with much needed updates getting delayed and awful policy decisions.

Hello everyone!! Been a lil while since I made an update Journal.

The growth drive this past month was awesome and I really can't thank you all enough for commenting, favoriting, and supporting me during it! <33 Still have the bonus pic that I'm working on for it, so look forward to that!

Afternoon everyone! I wanted to make sure I got this info out on FA as well regarding my art as of late. It's mostly minor stuff, but important enough to port this update from patreon over here ;3

I've got two things:

First, my "Basic" and "Refined" styles have been blending together over the course of this year, which is a good and bad thing. On the plus side, My art has been coming out better and more consistent! On the downside, the Basic commissions have been taking me more time to complete without the proper compensation that I would normally charge with the refined. Rather than lowering the quality of my work, the best solution for me would be to keep the Basic level an actual sketch, ie: not line and clean it up to the degree of the refined pieces. This will not only up the speed at which I can take those commissions, but will help distinguish between my tiers of art work. Also many of you have liked my other personal draws that have been messy sketches I ended up coloring so I honestly think they'll look even better!

Secondly: I'd like to move from my current "whenever I finish my current queue" openings to one that is more predictable. I get asked at least 3-4 times a week by non patrons if and when I open, so this can help everyone to know when I am taking commissions. I haven't solidified a schedule yet, but it'll look something like opening 4, maybe 5 times a year and in slightly larger batches. Patrons will still have a short period ahead of the opening to get on the queue first and Intern Tier will still have access to my exclusive queue at any time ;3 I'm hoping this will work out in several ways, as seasonal themes and memes can be better planned around much better.

Most of this update is to prepare me for a pricing update and an actual commission opening schedule early this upcoming year. For commissions opening tomorrow (12/7) The prices on the sheet is still the same. As always feel free to gimme a poke or leave comments! <33

FA's looking kinda snazzy with the new update! Hopefully they continue making this site look better (and with some other changes I would like to see in the future) Gotta work on some new banners and avatar things as well given the hellscape that is twitter currently.

In other news, I plan on opening commissions this December!! I don't have a date set yet, but I'll be sure to make plenty of noise so that those of you who have been hoping to get on one my queues don't miss out on the opportunity! In addition I'll be doing another sketch stream this month too! Lots happening this holiday season so I hope you'll take part! <33

Charizard Tri-Day: Wednesday, September 28th - Friday, September 30th

Hey everyone! With the 28th being the NA anniversary of Red Version in a few days, that means Charizard Tri-Day is close! here are a few tips about the day that might help a bit with organization when uploading around the Internet!

Important
• CharizardTriDay / #CharizardTriDay - This ideally is the tag to use to help others find content uploaded in the spirit of the three days.
• Content Filters - Please make sure to use the correct content filter when uploading your work.
--- Twitter: Mark your account as "sensitive"(Link), use the content warning feature (Link), and use the tag #nsfw when uploading.
• Timing - If you've only 1 piece, then upload on the 28th so hopefully others see and remember to upload or create their stuff!

Tips
• Content - Anything relating to charizard (and the evos) will fit the theme! If you have anything to share, don't stress -- have fun and upload it!
• Tagging - Make sure to properly tag your content! This way people can find the stuff they want and avoid the stuff they may not like!
--- Species - Be sure to tag your base species! If your char is a special evolution or hybrid, add it in addition to charmander, charmeleon, or charizard!
--- Themes - If your picture centers around a theme or kink, be sure to tag it! Since celebratory days are enjoyed by SFW and NSFW communities, be considerate if you're indulging in themes or kinks and add an extra tag or two!

These aren't meant to be end-all, be-all rules for the day! We just hope to coordinate as best we can to be able to get as much participation as possible!
