Megaplex 2012 Post-Con Wrap-Up & CR Dance Video!
Posted 13 years agoHeyahey, everybody! Well, it has been a few days since Megaplex 2012 has closed, and this con has been a big one for me. It was the premier of the Code Red Dew Roo character. Haven't seen him yet? Well, clickie here! http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8378904/
He has been welcomed to the furry world with open arms, high fives, and all worthwhile excitement. I enjoyed my first full suit and will no doubt be romping around wherever he is needed. No doubt he will jump into the FWA con world in the next year, and perhaps the Elliots parties if the conditions are right... Temperature-wise, being one of them, of course, since those parties partially take place outside. Lord knows I am not going outside in suit for long. XD
To top off the awesomeness of the weekend, Code Red also jumped into his/my first fursuit dance competition. You can watch the performance here, featuring the remix of 20 Percent Cooler by Alex S:
Of course, the rest of the con was great. All the parties, the games (Especially Cards Against Humanity), the fun events (The Japanese Game Show Experience made me lulz)... so many to list. And no to forget all the awesome peeps that roamed the convention. You all know who you are.
Can't forget having a great couple of weeks with
javameerkat during vacation and the convention. <3
Thank you, everyone, for welcoming Code Red to the furry world, and he will be looking forward to running into the next event he can catch. Until then, stay classy, folks!

Steampunk Badges Closed + Other Stuffs (New 3DS!)
Posted 13 years agoThe Megaplex 2012 Steampunk Badges are now closed early due to low demand. Thank you to those who participated.
Meanwhile, I got some other preparation for the convention this year. At least one thing in particular that needed some attention.
I am also at the beach at Outer Banks, NC with
javameerkat during this week. So far, we are having a great time. Having ice cream, walking in the sand, splashing in the watery shore...
Accidentally getting a little ocean water on my Nintendo 3DS in my pocket causing the top screen to fritz out while the rest of the system works... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Well, got the 3DS replaced, and with a sleek red color, too. No change of FC or anything. Just a new set of wheels for the same information stored within. That's comforting.

Fundraising Update (CLOSED)
Posted 13 years agoUPDATE: Thanks to a couple commissions from both sites, we have generated $65 USD to the other funds generated for the Junior Achievement fund. Thanks so much to the two who contributed. :)
ORIGINAL POST
Heyahey, everybody! Starting now, there will be some changes in the commission rates for all artwork due to the labor and time it takes to do each picture with the time I have. Information can be found in the Commission information listed with this journal. This will apply to anyone who is currently interested in a picture from me from now on.
On a related note, from now until March 9th, I will be doing commissions for a cause. I am collecting funds for the Junior Achievement Program of Central Florida, which is a program made for teaching students some useful subject matter for their future, such as economics. It's all part of the Disney Bowl-A-Thon program for Junior Achievement! :D
If you would like to have a commission and put the money to a good cause, you can click the following link to my main donation page below. More information is available in the link as well as a section where you can make your payment with your credit card directly to the fund. Just be sure to note me how much you donated and under what name so I can validate your donation.
Junior Achievement Homepage: https://fundraising.intelis.com/jacf/?A=189364
If you don't have a credit card, just send your payment to me via PayPal and I will be sure to put it in the fund for you. Just note for my PayPal e-mail if interested and we'll work it out.
Your efforts help kids in school get the education they need for a better life. Thank you in advance and have a funtastic March!

My 27th Birthday Journal
Posted 14 years agoI had a rather decent birthday. The benefits would start right after the stroke of midnight right into October 22nd, when I was hanging out with some theater peeps at the UNO restaurant. I only had a raspberry lemonade at the time, but since that's all I had and the place was about to close, the waitress decided not to ring that up. Free drink on the house, and I didn't even have to tell her it was my birthday. Pretty sweet, if you ask me. :P
Then after some shut-eye, I went to the new Dave & Buster's that opened in the O-Town. It would be my first time at a D&B, but I had quite a time. After a good chicken finger platter, I went straight to the games. They were mostly ticket-based games, but I still had fun. I was suckered into the Fruit Ninja arcade that features the Arcade mode on a big-ass touch screen! Though it was tougher than the usual iPhone game considering there's a slight lag when dragging the finger on the screen. Still, quite a fun challenge and a nice way to round up tickets. The machines I spent on the most would be those coin-pushing machines where you try to get clusters over the edge to get tickets. Since I spent more time on that than others, I kind of wonder if I got a gambling problem with machines like those. :P But in the end I got a good cluster of tickets to spend on a nice D&B shot glass and a red Angry Birds plush. Now I have something to throw at my cat when he gets into trouble! WOOOEEE! 8B I will no doubt go again, especially since on Wednesdays, games are half price! I better bring some folks to hang out with on Wednesdays...
The evening I just spent at the theater to do spotlight for Little Shop of Horrors (Playing in the Garden Theater in Winter Garden, weekends through Nov. 6 if you are in the area!). Of course, I got gifts from fam, including the always favorite, always coming every year in the mail... 2-way cheese popcorn tin from The Popcorn Factory! Never had it? Look it up. They make the best cheese popcorn out there!
All-in-all, I had a good day. Not a huge day, but had a nice middle filling. :P

Pokemon TCG Cards for Sale[UPDATE]
Posted 14 years agoUPDATE (9/19/2011): Turns out that I got a buyer who is undergoing the need to collect the funds for these cards. Thanks a bunch, guy! But if anything comes up, I'll give this journal an update again.
Anyone play Pokémon TCG?
Anyone want some cards?
I got a lot of playing cards that I don't need and are on sale. Here's a quick rundown:
418 Cards (PKMN, Energy, Trainer Cards)
Several Japanese
Several Holographic
Several Promo
All Valued at roughly $277 dollars (Based on the only records I can find that is recorded in 2004)
These cards date back as far as the Base Set when the game was first introduced in the late 1990s.
The total value of these cards may be updated if I can find a more up-to-date website on card values.
But bottom line is that I am selling these cards. Anyone interested is open to contact me so I can give a detailed rundown of what I have. A bargain can even be negotiated, and people are welcome to chose what they want if we need to.
Again, if anyone is interested, note me.
Funding will go to the Code Red Project... which requires a lot of money for.
Better hurry. This is a first come, first served opportunity.

Fund for Code Red Roo Suit!! Filling Slots. Please Read!
Posted 14 years agoIt took me long enough to even contemplate on the idea of pulling this off, but hear me out, folks.
In the spring of 2010, I was in the wave of creative Soda Roos that have been drawn up after Dr. Pepper and Livewire have both been bouncing around the cons, especially FWA at the time. Never saw them? Click here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3631171/
Oh yeah, and there's Monster Roo, too: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5402446/
So in response, I drew up my own design for a Soda Roo. I based him off of one of my favorite drinks, Mountain Dew Code Red. Here's my design: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3695575/
Of course, making a suit like this by myself in top quality is something out of my league, and paying someone to make one for me would require funds that I wouldn't usually fork over for something like this, so this idea sat on the sidelines for more than a year. That is until I had someone ask me if anyone is making this suit yet since she wants to make it too, making a deal. So with that...
I'm hosting a long spree of commissions to help pay for this character suit. I would love to see this come to life as much as anybody. The price estimated is $950 USD, so that would be one Hell of a ways to go. To even get a majority of this cost funded would mean so much to me, and your support will help bring Code Red to life. Whether you are buying any of my usual drawing commissions or just donating, your help is graciously appreciated. Even referring this journal in your own would help spread the word and get the message across the site. Any help would be great. :)
What I have to offer for my drawings and digital works and the prices for them are listed below in the usual Commission Information section...
Oh, and I also have some Pokémon cards I dug up not too long ago. A lot of them. All on sale. If anyone is a Pokémon card collector, I have cards that date back as far as when the card game first started. You are welcome to contact me if you are interested.
CODE RED FUND UPDATES
Money Raised: $0 / $950
STATUS: I am right now taking up slots for names for later. After I clear out some other projects that I have piled up, I will contact you shortly.

Voice Acting + Video Game Preview! (Vid works!)
Posted 14 years agoLooks like I got some activity going on tonight. I will be doing some recordings for a series of audition readings. For what? Well, for this:
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2598774/
Everyone is welcome to give this a try! A lot of folks already poured their talents to the table, so I'm going to join in.
Plus, here comes a preview of coming attraction: A video game I was casted to voice act for...
Brought to you by the students of the Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy of UCF...
DEAD WEST!
(Finally figured out how to put the video in the journal. Yay!)
More is to come as the game develops. Right now you don't hear my voice at all during this trailer, but when the time comes... you are sure to love this... ;D

Hacked Friend Warning
Posted 14 years agoJust giving a heads up to some peeps who might know Silver Hammer Bro. Apparently his account has been hacked by an outside party that focuses on spreading some hate. They hacked a lot of his accounts: DA, FA, email, IMs, the works. They are taking over a lot of this guy's life.

Megaplex 2011 - Arcade Badges: Closed
Posted 14 years agoWith a week remaining for Megaplex, I am closing up on the badge commissions. Thanks to those who contributed to the group. Expect to see the badges soon. :)
Another Megaplex in Kissimmee, Florida is getting closer and closer now, and I can't be any more excited about this year's epic theme: Retro Arcade! As a gamer, I am hoping that the theme will generate some awesome things to happen at this year's convention. This would include something that I am proposing to the convention itself as a new event, but I won't say what it is until I find out if it is approved or not. Let's just say that it will involve me dressing up in a familiar face and accent for a good portion of the con. ;)
For right now, I am getting ready to make... you guessed it- MORE BADGES!!! 8D
Yes, the themed badges are back, and I am hoping to make more than ever! If any of you are unfamiliar with the themed badges, I take my time before the convention to make commissioned badges based on the convention's theme. Here are some of the other badges I have made:

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4235390/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5394160/
And now I am doing it again this year! I will be commissioning for badges like these to the Retro Arcade theme for those attending this year's Megaplex. For $12 US dollars, you could get a badge like these, laminated along with the badge clip. You can prepay via PayPal (prefered) or pay when you collect your badge at the convention. At the day of the convention, I will be holding onto the badges for everyone (most likely will display them on the shoulder strap of my bag) and you can get your badge then. If you wish to ensure contact with me during the con so you can get your badge, you are welcome to ask via noting me.
Here's a sample of a Retro Arcade Badge. This is what I will be wearing:

For the last two weeks of the con, I will also accept trades for a badge. You can get a badge for a badge/sketch/drawing/whatever you make. Drop a comment or Note me to make an offer! ;)
Also, a good friend of mine,
draco-silverflame, is doing some selling of his own. He is making some lava lamps made out of large artillery shells, and they are pretty cool. He is hoping to sell one or two of these shells at least before Megaplex, and he is planning to showcase the shells during the con as well. Here's a few pics of what they look like:

If you'd like to have one of these shells, contact Draco, whether through his page or at Megaplex. He would really appreciate your business if you are interested. ;)

My Little Pony: FIM Soundtrack Petition
Posted 14 years agoI am doing a lil' favor for my friend, and quite frankly I am supporting the cause myself.
The recent My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic television season has come and gone, I'm sure many of you are aware, and a lot of redeeming qualities made the show worthwhile to watch and to be admired by fans of any age range. One of the things that made the show great was the music. Even I found myself listening to the tunes on occasion and singing them to myself.
So my friend, who is a big soundtrack hobbyist, is petitioning to Hasbro and affiliates to make a soundtrack CD to the music used in the show. I signed it, and I want to help get this across to the fans. He also has contacts in the soundtrack industry, so he is quite stoked to see this come to fruition.

FWA 2011: Post-Con Wrap-Up
Posted 14 years agoAnother awesome weekend has come and gone, and I should say this has gone well for me than I have in the last few years during this convention. Having to avoid the temptation of sitting in the artist alley for the majority of my time, I was able to spend more time rolling around panels and hanging out with some old and new friends. So let's see how it all went down...
-Thursday-
I took
sci_the_cheetah along with me for the ride as we rode north to Atlanta. We were able to make it in time to roll around for a few hours in the afternoon and see the Opening Ceremonies. Not much could be done then, but I was able to deliver a badge or two in the process, and even had some time for some nyuck moments. I even got one of the last FWA liquor flasks as a souvenir, and it would later become helpful for mixing some Airborne into. A night worth popping in early before heading over to my meersis,
java_meerkat's place for the whole weekend.
-Friday-
This is the first of the several days I would have more time paneling. The Old School Game-Off was a challenge with two other furries at a scoring competition on Galaga and Missile Command... and I was surprised to see I won both of those, so I got a free T-shirt. Got to learn the History of Fandom in the next panel, watched
Mangusu put on a hilariously fun Furry Dating Show, and spent all the time in between rolling around and waiting for my awesome Pony badge I commissioned from
kabukihomewood when it would actually take more time for it to be finished.
-Saturday-
Here's where things got tricky, because panels I wanted to go to have slots that are at the same time of each other, so I had to bounce around between Digital Coloring and Lighting, Tooning and the Improv Comedy panel. For the ladder, I took the liberty of changing into my Tommy Wiseau outfit just to give them an unexpected chuckle and a moment to sit next to them in front of the audience, demonstrating the idea of staying in character before we got into some fun exercises. Of course, had the Fursuit Parade, and I'm sure you'd see me right next to Java in one of the YouTube videos if you searched it. During lunch, I thought I'd take a break and walk straight to the World of Coca Cola in town, which was what I wanted to visit last year... but DAMN! The line was so f*cking long! I had to pass and walk straight back to the hotel. At least it gave me two hours of sunshine and exercise that I am sure a lot of us needed during the weekend. :P Anywho, I was able to sit down in the artist alley for a little bit and get some work done, while a G4 TV camera happened to have buzzed by our line of tables... o.O" Aparently they were recording for one of their shows. I will be looking forward to THIS. Later on in the night, I had the chance to hang out with
princessrei and
odin36519 after several passings and brief moments of saying hi. We went to the bar at the hotel and had some drinks, then went to the Fursuit Dance Competition, where I wasn't aware of it, but the real fun was getting on the DS' Pictochat and finding as much as 8 peeps on one chat room. Overall, this day was probably the best.
-Sunday-
The last day... better make it worth my while. I got my pony badge, and I love it to death. "Wiseau" went to Uncle Kage's Story Hour, and too bad for him that Georgia's liquor stores are closed to sell him wine... poor dude... :P The Furry Olympics was a beast, and the team consisted of myself,
and others. One of them messed up my neck for a short while... 8 fursuiters running towards the middle of a dance floor for a pick at one of 5 pool noodles in the middle... I can swear if someone video taped that scene, someone would have the common courtesy to add in the sound effect of a bowling ball hitting a Strike in a bowling alley. Boom! Didn't win, but had fun nonetheless. After a little running around and hanging out, then came Furries Got Talent!?!, followed by the Closing Ceremonies, where beforehand a little awesomeness happened while listening to the music...

I had a blast, and a big shoutout to all my friends that I was able to bump into this year. I had a great time, and I hope to see you all next year! :)

Another Generic FWA 2011 Meme
Posted 14 years agoIf I am attending, that means I have to fill out this crazy thing...
Where are you staying?
With
while dragging along
for the ride.
Who will you be with?
You mean "with" with? Then nobody, really.
Do you do trades?
I will be happy to do trades! I am aiming to make several trades this year. I have a few peeps in mind that I'd like to trade with.
What suits will you have?
My Trefursuit, of course. Tommy Wiseau is also considering about bumming a ride up, too, to promote his film. :P
What is your gender?
A dude
How old are you?
26
Can I talk to you?
By all means!
Can I buy you a drink?
Sure
What's your poison?
Anything sweet or tasty, like a Mike's... or a Jager.
Can I commission you?
I already made the FWA badges for this year and I am going to try avoiding the Artist Alley this time around. I never get enough attention there anyway.
What events will you be attending?
Most involving games, but I hope to find some panels involving art and voice recording... or maybe internet blogging? I dunno, I got to see the program first.
Can I hug you?
But of course!
How tall are you?
5'6"
Are you nice? Or do you think so (no personal references needed)?
I should say that I am, yes. :P
Are you friendly?
Yup yup!
How long are you going?
The whole dang weekend! WOO!
Do you have an artist table? If yes, what will you be selling?
No plans whatsoever. The last two FWAs I wasted too much time sitting around. That's the last thing I want to be doing!
Do you like parties?
Unt-ss! Unt-ss! Unt-ss! Unt-ss! *Does the Moonwalk* Yush! 8) Dat ass...
Can I give you a gift?
I expect none, but sure... XP
If I see you, how should I get your attention?
However you want to do it. Surprise me, if that is your fancy. :P
Anything else?
Nothing except... well, suits, Wiseau, trades, furries. What a weekend this'll be. Go FWA!

FWA Wonderland Badges Commissions Open! $10 Each!
Posted 14 years agoWell, the countdown has begun for the days left until the next Furry Weekend Atlanta to take place in Atlanta, Georgia. This year's theme is Wonderland, so this makes a fitting time as any to make badges to this year's theme.
Much like I did with Megaplex from last summer, I am going to take up commissions for these badges ahead of time so I will not waste so much time sitting around the Artist Alley, allowing me to enjoy the convention. I am going to open up slots with no limit for badges themed to Wonderland, featuring their fursonas commissioned to appear as Alice in Wonderland characters and themes from the original Disney classic, the Tim Burton remake or just in general (as in made in my own way). Characters and the version of those Wonderland characters can be requested if needed be.
To help set the idea of what I will make, here's a sample of the badge I will wear for Alex: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....x/4fb7c1f4.jpg
And just to paint a bigger picture of what the badges look like, here are the badges I made during Megaplex's Mad, Mad Science theme:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4203084/
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4235390/
Want one? Badges are $10.00 USD each, and I will have them open until the time we approach the con. You can pay via PayPal (Most prefered) or at the con, and you can request to me who you want on the badge and who/what you want them dressed like/look like/whatever that ties to the Wonderland theme. Either that or I would have to make those decisions for you like I did for the Megaplex badges... and sometimes that isn't safe with me involved. >=3
Just drop a comment here or Note me. Let us descend into the Madness of FWA! And don't forget the tea! Hahahahahaha! 8D

talegas!!Comissions Open for Mic Fund!!
Posted 15 years agoHeyahey everybody, and a Happy 2011 to all of you! Some of us had a strange start for the first few days- *CoughiPhonealarmclockbugcough*... But I am ready to roll out the red carpet for an awesome year!
For starters, I am opening up my Commissions, and this time I am raising money for something more than just having scratch money. Some of you may know already that I am going to get started in Voice Over work, but to do that, I need the right equipment. I already purchased a few supplies that are on the way and found the proper program to use, but the one thing left is a proper mic. A good Condenser Microphone costs somewhere around $100 US or more on Amazon.com, so it is high time I need your help to raise that money. Commission for anything from pencil sketches, inks and digital pictures! Even icons and avatars!
Speaking of which, see the Avatar I got on right now? (If you don't see it, remember to F5, folks!) Yep, the new Pokéwalker series is on sale now for the standard animated icon price of $10 US. They can be made in both DA and FA formats of your choosing, or just have both sizes for the same price!
With your help, this professional-grade Condenser Microphone can be purchased and I will even make some time to share my talents for all to hear in a new segment tentatively titled "Speak Up!", a title that pays tribute to a college senior capstone show I did years ago. I have been wanting to show off to large masses for a long time my unique talents, so help make that happen! :)
The Commissions prices have been updated for the new year to adjust to labor costs, etc. Please refer to the price list below.
Thanks for reading!

Gallery Clean-Up (+ Scrapping)
Posted 15 years agoUPDATE: I have decided that since some pictures are pretty hard to delete altogether, I will also take the time to put some images into the Scraps collection. This should help make things easier to polish up the Gallery.
In the next few hours, I will be doing a little clean-up of images in my gallery that are old and are not quite so faved by the community. If you happen to see some of your favorite pics disappear out of nowhere, now you know.

Megaplex 2010 - Science Badges Closed
Posted 15 years agoThere's only one more week until Megaplex will be taking place in Kissimmee, Florida. And I will be there to enjoy every little bit of it, as I always do. Really looking forward to it.
I won't have an art table this time around, because I don't have the 40 bucks to use up and gain back... admitingly, I am not cool enough. XD This means I will have more time to spend romping around in my fursuit, playing games and hanging out with my friends.
While we are on our final week of waiting, I am going to open up a special set of badges based on this year's theme: Mad, Mad Science! This quick-draw series will consist of characters drawn as laboratory scientists, assistants, or perhaps even lab animals themselves... who knows what someone might end up as. :-P This series will be open for those who will be attending Megaplex this year. Here's a sample of what I will be wearing next week to give you an idea of what I will be making:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....x/85ce0bd5.jpg
The Cost: $6

Interested? Either comment right here or send me a note. Maybe if this will be successful, I might raffle off a badge or two. When the badges are made, you can pick them up in person at the convention. I will be walking around with my Legend of Zelda messenger bag, so you shouldn't have any problem spotting me.
Not interested?... Just brag about whether or not you are coming. XP
