Onwards to EF 29...
Posted a month agoI'll be attending Eurofurence again this year, looking forward to it.
If you're also an attendee, have a grand time!
I'll most likely be wearing my blue-maned face on a badge when out and about, as always. Feel free to say hello.

Ever felt like...
Posted 3 months agoI had this thought quite recently. It kept returning now and then, but it seems that only now I managed to put it into some more fitting words.
It is kind of a Deja vu.
Imagine you live in a remote town, hours away from any major city. It is small, quaint, but has a strong, bustling community.
You are young, surrounded by friends you grew up with. By your family, blood or not. Life is good. Busy, sometimes noisy, yet good.
But the good things are fleeting.
People move. New lives, new business, new families, new circles. Scattered like straw in the wind. Yet you stay where life was comfortable once. You witness the town become deserted, you see it wither and die. Only you are left, together with some lethargic, old denizens. Nothing but a rare postcard or a letter comes from those you once spent every moment with. No one really visits anymore. It is truly a noteworthy event when someone does.
There comes the day when you live in a ghost town. And a fork in the road.
You either move on yourself when the silence becomes unbearable, go to another town, begin the cycle anew.
Or you learn to be in harmony with the silence.
Anyone ever felt like that? My online experiences have been following this metaphor for a long, long time.
Maybe it's time to look for another town. Or maybe it's time to stop. Hard to tell.
Be safe on your journeys.

Conversations with Nothing in Particular.
Posted 2 years agoI was recently inspired into picking up a time-consuming, but mentally soothing pastime. Writing journals.
First and foremost, I'm making them for myself. It's high time I stopped letting my ideas die. Whether they're worth something or not, only time will tell.
Perhaps it will be interesting to look back at what I've thought a few years ago and observe the journey.
Aside from an outlet for my own thoughts, once I'm satisfied with a particular chunk of notes I've accumulated, I may publish it as a chapter of sorts. Those will be about many subjects, personal and impersonal alike. Would someone read that? I don't know. I don't care. But I've enjoyed exploring the ways people think and their intellectual or emotional experiences expressed in such a form.
Maybe someone will enjoy that too. Even a single person makes it worthwhile.
I shall post them on SoFurry, since it's a site far better suited for works of writing and long ramblings. Here's the first chapter, one of the list of quite a few I'm chipping away at to keep my mind busy.

Enjoy those warmer days and take care in those hectic times.

The crossroads.
Posted 3 years agoIt seems that I've hit a dead end in my life, stuck on a path where no progress can be made.
My choices also look rather clear: further grind down my sanity against the wall of futility or walk back to the crossroads and choose a different path.
Guess I might give the latter a try.
Apologies in advance to anyone who will try to contact me, I might need a break from all things social. For a while, perhaps.
That doesn't include commission-related communication, I will reply to those.
Good fortune to you all.

Eurofurence 26 Meme
Posted 3 years agoAlright, it's been a long time... Finally I get to make another appearance at EF. So I might as well throw this here, why not.
(Yoinked from

Eurofurence 26
August 24 - 28.2022
Berlin, Germany
Where are you staying?
- At Estrel with
fyris
Means of transportation?
- Train from Warsaw.
What is your gender?
- Male.
Relationship Status:
- Single.
How old are you?
- Pretty much 27.
How tall are you?
- 178 cm, somewhere around that dead average male height.
Which languages do you speak?
- English, Polish and a bit of German.
Where will you be most of the time during the day?
- Roaming around. Probably to be seen at Dealer's Den and the Artists' Lounge at times. And in the queue for Pawpet Show, likely. Otherwise, might be on excursions with my crazy friends.
Who will you be with?
- Got quite a bunch of people to see there, so varies. Most likely around
or
and
's squad.
Do you do trades?
- I can trade compliments, candy or insults.
Do you do commissions?
- Nope, I'm a Purchaser, not a Purveyor of Art.
Do you have prints?
- Only the ones I grab from DD eventually.
What suit(s) will you have?
- No suit & tie here. Staying casual.
Can I dance with you?
- But do you really want to? Doesn't sound like the greatest idea...
Can I hug you?
- Aye, sure. Just no sneak attacks.
Can I talk to you?
- Yup. You're welcome to!
Can I take photos of you/with you?
- Sure, why not.
Can I buy you lots of drinks?
- Wanna be my iced tea supplier?
Do you drink Alcohol/Smoke?
- Not really. Only beer sometimes, socially.
Can I give you lots of money?
- I have little to offer except for an awkward smile, then. You might reconsider.
Can we hang out?
- Yeah, if we know each other from somewhere and you manage to get a hold of me.
Other cons you may go to?
- Hmm, none for certain so far. Maybe one of the Polish ones, time will tell.
Attending any events?
- Will surely browse through the panels and show up to some. And the Pawpet Show, of course :)
How can I find you at the con?
- A badge with a blue-maned dragon and the name "Arcdanis" is a good hint. Might be found on a guy with a short, dark beard and somewhat broad shoulders. One who tends to wear checked shirts.
Are you buying art?
- Certainly~
What is the best way to contact you?
I'm most likely to check Telegram, @ Arcdanis.
You look pretty tired, are you ok?
- did those sacks under the eyes give me away again? I have a pretty bad sleep schedule.
Last time/last con/last meet/last chat we talked so much and now you forgot my name? Why???
- I remember every employee number of people in my department. I don't remember people's names quite a bit more often. Weird, I know. If I stare at you in confusion, I'm just trying to figure out if I've seen you before.
Will you tell me your room-number and can I surprise visit you?
- Maybe. Maybe not. Depends on who you are. But I'm not a fan of surprises, most of the time. I'm an agent of Order, I leave Chaos to others.
I have a personal question for the convention. May I ask you that?
- Sure thing.

Onwards to EF 24
Posted 7 years agoSooo... I've decided to accompany my friends to EF this year. This will be quite a new experience for me, as I never attended this type of con before. Still, I'm kinda hopeful, expecting to meet some cool people and do some sightseeing on the side. I guess I'll post the obligatory meme below.
Where are you staying?
Hotel Mercure, Berlin
Means of transportation?
Getting there by train, then off to the public transport I go.
Sharing a room with:
Danero
What is your gender?
Male.
Relationship Status:
Taken.
How old are you?
22
How tall are you?
178 cm
What names can I call you?
Arc will do. I might react to "lazyass".
Which languages do you speak?
English, Polish, German (trust me, you'll laugh if you make me speak German.) I might surprise you with a few words in your language if I know some, tho.
Where will you be most of the time during the day?
Hard to tell. I'll definitely be eager to see some fine artwork in the artist's lounge, do some "normie" sightseeing in the city, hang out with friends.
Who will you be with?
danero
eivel
ikar
herpydragon
swanska <- these guys
Do you do free art?
Yes! Just kidding, no.
Do you do trades?
Naah, you wouldn't want to wait an eternity for one.
Do you do commissions?
Nope. Not a professional.
Do you have prints/ CDs?
Only those I'll buy.
What suit(s) will you have?
Extremely realistic Human Flesh Suit with dapper clothes to match.
May I dance with you?
You might as well dance with a 2x4 plank xD
May I touch you?
I'm rather no-touchy type of person. Unless we're on friendly terms already.
May I talk to you?
Yes please!
May I hug you?
I usually don't mind, under one condition... Ask first.
May I snuggle with you?
Hmm... No.
May I give you lots of money?
Why would you? It's a bit awkward.
Can we hang out?
If we talk a bit and take a liking to each other, feel free to :)
May I take photos of you/with you?
I don't have a fursuit or look special, so nothing to see there.
May I buy you lots of drinks?
As long as there is no alcohol in them. I'm always thirsty. Always.
Do you drink Alcohol/Smoke?
Not. At. All.
Are you nice?
It might surprise you... But yes, I am nice, indeed. ^^
Other cons you may go to?
Probably not in foreseeable future.
Attending any events?
Probably, dunno yet.
How can I find you at the con?
Look for my blue mane on the badge. Also, I do have my short, yet glorious beard.
Can we go out for a dinner?
If it's not an overly expensive place... I'm from Cheap-o-land, after all.
Are you buying art?
Oh, certainly!
What do I have to watch out for when I am meeting you?
Act like a decent human being. I'm polite and patient, yet it's not hard to creep me out.
What is the best way to contact you?
Drop me a line on Telegram. Highest chance of me seeing it.
May I kidnap you to my room?
That's... Dangerous to your health. Please, don't try.
You look pretty tired, are you ok?
That's my little secret. I'm always tired :^)

Stayin' alive, stayin' alive...
Posted 7 years agoSurprised that people had actually decided to watch me, I felt the urge to give this page a little push. I had some stuff done for me by fantastic people, as well as a few scribbles I made myself. I guess it would be good to upload these... University kept me silent, but now I can move my lazy rump and try being more active. Who knows, maybe even draw or write more. So... It's reasonable to expect things to appear there soon.
Thank you folks for your interest, it's quite the nudge for me. :)
Stay cheerful!

A step out of the shadows
Posted 8 years agoYes, I'll admit it - I was a lurker for ages.
Yet someday, one has to make a decision to show their existence to the world. So, Here I am.
I wouldn't consider myself that much of a furry, but I've heard there's a plenty of kind, interesting people out there. And, of course, many artists who deserve more tokens of appreciation than mere pageviews. As I'm slowly learning how to draw stuff, maybe there will be even somebody who appreciates my mediocre work. ^^
I hope that something good for me and others will come out of this. As the saying goes, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step".
Apologies in advance to those that will find themselves favbombed in the following days. ;)
