Not just "Animaniacs" are returning to TV...
General | Posted 5 years ago"Tiny Toon Adventures" will be also, and..."Freakazoid!"
All from Steven Spielberg!

My Mom died yesterday.
General | Posted 5 years agoShe was 86, and her health was getting worse.
She had a good long life, and a lot of kids, grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

Animaniacs is coming back! BUT...
General | Posted 5 years agoYes, Spielberg's "Amblin Entertainment" is bringing "Animaniacs' back, but...with a couple disappointments.
(Now these are not absolutely confirmed, and I actually hope one is wrong.)
First, it'll be on the pay-channel "Hulu."
Second, while they are bringing back "Pinky And The Brain," Minerva Mink has apparently been dropped.
I hope this is not true.
So, we'll see how it looks.

I bought a drone!
General | Posted 6 years agoIt has a fairly decent camera on it, and I've taken some videos with it.
First one in my kitchen, the second and third are at a park close to my place.

Angry Birds!
General | Posted 7 years agoI bought a secondhand iPad recently, and installed Angry Birds and Angry Birds 2 on it.
And I'm having a ball playing them.
It takes me a while to get "with it," but I am having fun.

Memory is getting bigger, and much less expensive!
General | Posted 7 years agoI use a wallet-sized "auxiliary" memory for my laptop.
It was only $50, and it blew my mind though, one terabyte!
(My laptop has a 500 gig hard drive, itself.)
But in a flyer from "Best Buy," I saw an auxiliary hard drive, $160, EIGHT TERABYTES!
I mean, I remember when I thought a 10 meg HD was awesome!

General | Posted 7 years agoThis is a furry board, so I'm going to post about furries.
General | Posted 8 years agoNo more politics or religion. There are lots of message boards for those.
So just furrys, and maybe funny stuff or tributes.
Hmmm...turned over a new leaf, what should be the topic now?
How about past cartoons being re-made?
It was done with the Thundercats, Duck Tales, and more, so for me?
"Dinosaucers."
The show was asinine, at best.
But I loved the character "Teryx" from that show.
So how about the show gets a re-write, better stories, and better animation?
Or what cartoons would you like re-written?

Earbuds and headphones
General | Posted 8 years agoYsterday I bought a set of "Skullcandy" headphones and earbuds, and they are simply GREAT!
Best ones I've ever bought.
Dr Dre can take his overpriced crap and shove it back up his butt.

If you’re going to ascend a Hollywood throne, you might as well wipe like a king.
Academy Award nominees such as Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio will walk away winners with gift bags packed with over-the-top items like $275 toilet paper, a $250 sex toy and even a $1,900 breast lift.
Gift company Distinctive Assets has stuffed goody bags with a whopping $220,000 worth of expensive toys, spa treatments and trips topping last year’s $125,000 party favor.
“This is considered the ultimate consolation prize for non-winning nominees,” said Distinctive Assets’ Lash Fary in a statement.
Only the lucky nominess from the following categories will get to take home the extravagant swag: best actor and actress, best supporting actor and actress and best director.

The website says that the cleansing spray is pH balanced and contains a hypoallergenic detoxifying cleanser which has been ‘especially created for the intimate area’.
The ingredients are dermatologically formulated ingredients including glacier water from mountain springs in the region of Titlis in Switzerland.
The moisturizer is described as enhancing the skin’s ‘resilience as a protective barrier’ and has a delicate fragrance that finished off the feeling of ‘pristine perfection’.

I find a lot of stuff on the roadways...
General | Posted 10 years agoBut I've never found one of these...
‘No reports of zombies’: Sheriff’s office finds casket along roadway
A sheriff’s office in central Wisconsin has a question for you: “Anyone missing a casket?”
The Adam’s County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to post a photo of a casket found along a highway last weekend.
“We’re pretty certain it did not come out of the ground, and there have been no reports of zombies in the area,” the post reads.
The Sheriff’s Office spoke with a funeral home and discovered used caskets can be sold to private citizens for haunted houses and displays.

To heck with videogames being "too violent,"
General | Posted 10 years agoDo they cost tooo much?
They are getting that way.
Out side of used-videogame stores, the prices are through the roof.
I just bought the latest Skylanders game, "Superchargers."
Comes with game platform, one vehicle, two figures and the game.
Cost me $80.
I'm looking at a Shopko flyer, the Disney "Playmation" basic set and the "Lego: Dimensions" basic set costs $100, and the add on sets or figures cost $13 to $15.
Meanwhile games that have been out for several months now like the latest Madden football game is listed on "sale" at $55.

Sad news of late that Eugene Patton has passed away...now you may be asking yourself, who is Eugene Patton? You may know him better as his on stage persona, Gene Gene the Dancing Machine.
Eugene was a stagehand working at NBC at the time Chuck Barris was taping The Gong Show. Chuck found Eugene's dancing during the breaks so entertaining, that he decided to put him on the show and Gene Gene the Dancing Machine was born.

The big 55!
General | Posted 11 years agoYup, today is my birthday, 55 years old.
Had a great day, my Mom got me for a present new snow boots, since my old ones had a hole in the right heel.
She also took me to dinner at an Asian restaurant near here that has excellent food.
I share a birthday though, with Britney Spears, (yech!) and the best quarterback in the NFL, our very own Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers! :bigcheer:

No Saturday morning cartoons, ever again?
" Vortexx ...the only remaining traditional children's programming block on any of the U.S. broadcast networks, and the only one that incorporated advertising aimed at the block's target audience (due partly to advertising restrictions placed by the Federal Communications Commission, other commercial broadcast networks opt to run advertisements aimed at adult consumers and/or public service announcements).
The block came to an end on September 27, 2014, and was replaced the following week with a live-action E/I block from Litton Entertainment named One Magnificent Morning, marking the end of traditional Saturday morning children's programming on broadcast television.

Disney's possible next franchise...
General | Posted 11 years agoDeadline reported yesterday on the 50th anniversary of the famous (and famously creepy) ride that Disney has hired Jon Turteltaub to direct an “It’s A Small World” feature. Jared Stern pitched the movie and will likely write the script. Stern, Turteltaub and The LEGO Movie’s Dan Lin will produce what Deadline says is envisioned as a “potential franchise for the studio.” Turteltaub has directed Cool Runnings and the National Treasure franchise (among other things, yes, but those those two credits make for fascinating juxtaposition). Jared Stern wrote the screenplay for Mr. Popper’s Penguins and The Internship, and will reportedly be working on The LEGO Movie 2.
