Kintsugi: (N) The art of repairing pottery with gold or silver lacquer and understanding that the piece is more beautiful for having been broken.

This story follows a young fruit bat, by the name of Tristan, who is working on a master’s degree in psychology. When his professor asks him to work beside him at Briarwood Rehabilitation, the most advanced rehabilitation facility in the country, he delightedly accepts. Tristan soon learns of a patient named Donovan Bolduc, a large Bengal tiger with a long criminal record, that his professor has deemed a "lost cause" because of his uncooperative behavior. When the young fruit bat tells his professor that he believes no one is unable to be helped, his professor gives him two options; he can either renounce his beliefs, or try to treat the patient...but if he fails, he won't be able to work at the facility any longer. After careful consideration, Tristan decides to take his professor's bet, and he attempts to treat this "lost cause". Many hurdles stand in the way of Donovan’s recovery, so many that it seems that he may never get better. The two will soon learn that they aren’t that different after all, and that healing doesn't have to be a lonely process.

As you saw from the title, I am holding a contest! what is it you ask? Well its contest to see who's art will be the cover for part two of Kintsugi!

YaaaY!!!

Now, here are some simple qualifications you must meet in order to be considered
1) The submission doesn't have to be a drawing but it must be an original image made by you (I made the cover for part one in powerpoint XP)
2) The submission must say the title KINTSUGI in a way that is easy to read
3) The submission must present imagery and themes described in the story ei. settings, characters, or something inbetween

See! It's that easy ^///^

The plan is to have this be a event held as each part is made and to strengthen the growing kintsugi community

The cut off will be one week before the story's release which will most likely be a little over a month from now (I'd normally be a little faster than that but i will be back in school during that time) send your entries to me through either notes or shouts though notes are preferred

Can't wait to see what all you love people make ^///^ (p.s. all entries will get shown off because they are all awesome )
