A New Hello
Posted 8 years agoWow, it's been a year since I've really posted anything new. To be honest, I've just been lacking motivation, especially when it comes to art. And sadly I never really have time to go out fursuiting, either. I missed FE this year, something I've never done since I first joined the fandom. And I really, really regret not going. But I've just felt myself fading from the fandom bit by bit. There are so many sides to this fandom that irk me, so many people that make me think it just isn't worth it anymore.
But it is worth it, otherwise I wouldn't still be here.
I feel a bit more motivated lately. I'd been in the works of designing a new character, and I really like how she turned out! I have a few commissions on the way, and I'm excited to see them and share them with everyone. I love Archellion, don't get me wrong. But I think it's just time for a change.
Anyways, I'm going to try and stay more active. I'd love to chat and catch up with all of you, so come say hi! You can always find me over on Twitter - @ JackalopeKisses :)

Posted 9 years agoHey everyone, sorry I've been away for so long. After the whole password reset thing I had a struggle figuring out which e-mail I used and what password and all kinds of things. But now that I've gotten that all straightened out, I am back! I have a lot to catch up on after being away for so long. I flew to Tampa by myself! Never travelled anywhere alone before so it was quite the adventure!

Honestly I usually forget what resolutions I've made! I'm gonna try to keep mine for next year though.
3:Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes! One of my friends living in Newfoundland had her second child in May.

Not someone I was really close to, no.

I went to the States :)

I'm not sure I really had a reason? I just wanted to experience it. No hard drugs, obviously. I'd never touch any of that, nor have I ever wanted to.
2. Do you think you could ever have an abortion if you unexpectedly turned up pregnant right this second?
Honestly, I don't know. I have (thankfully) never had to experience that before. I want to say that, yes, I could choose to have an abortion, but the fact of the matter is that I really don't know how I would feel if it were to actually happen. I'm Pro-Choice, but sometimes that choice can be very difficult.
3. If you were far from home and needed to sleep for the night, would you choose to rent a crappy motel room for $60 or sleep in your car for free?
Sleep in my car for free. After all, it's only one night. And I could use the $60 to spend on things like food.
4. Is there a color shirt you’d NEVER wear?
Not really. If it was a nice looking shirt, I'd pretty much wear any colour.
5. Is there a situation where you caved into peer pressure and regretted it?
I'm sure there is at some point, I just don't remember. I've become very good at not giving into peer pressure because if I don't wanna do something, I am certainly not going to do it no matter who tries to convince me otherwise.

With enough time, the overwhelming feelings do die down.

Honestly, I'm pretty fucking good at it. I can adapt to change very quickly, and while feelings might still be stirred up, I'm usually pretty good with just accepting things.

Birthday Weekend!
Posted 10 years agoIf someone had've told me that this year would be the best year for me, I wouldn't have believed them. Not with the way things were near the end of last year. But honestly, come the new year, I felt so free. I felt like I could finally breathe. I was moving on to bigger and better things. And then so many amazing things happened.
One of those things happened to take place this last weekend. Since mine and
dodge's birthdays are six days apart, we decided to celebrate together this weekend. What I didn't know was that I was in for a handful of amazing surprises. After a long day of work Friday evening, I headed downtown to meet my man at Union and was greeted by his incredibly handsome face as we walked towards our first surprise destination - the Keg Mansion! Stuffed full of delicious steak, garlic potatoes and bread, we set off for a second surprise spot, the Grand Hotel. I couldn't believe how amazing this place was! It's certainly unlike any hotel I'd ever stayed in before. It was also complete with a rooftop adorned with a gazebo, two hot tubs, a massive screen, and an incredible view of the city. When we entered our hotel room, I was met with what I can only describe as an incredible fairytale-esque moment; lovely red and white rose petals leading up to and onto the bed. It was beautiful, and it was perfect.
Saturday evening we were going to head down to
HowlToronto to celebrate with some friends. We headed out to 
raverfox420's place to pick a few of them up, but what I didn't know was that they had once again surprised me with a wonderful homemade dinner! And afterwards, the most delicious homemade Italian buttercream cake. I don't think I'll be able to eat store-bought cake again :P So special thanks go out to 
cyberwulfe and 
AgileFoxen for such wonderful food! I really appreciate all the time and effort that went into making everything so perfect <3
And also another huge shoutout to raverfox420 and cyberwulfe for being amazing DJs and KILLING it on stage and making my evening so very memorable!

Stuffed full of delicious steak, garlic potatoes and bread, we set off for a second surprise spot, the Grand Hotel. I couldn't believe how amazing this place was! It's certainly unlike any hotel I'd ever stayed in before. It was also complete with a rooftop adorned with a gazebo, two hot tubs, a massive screen, and an incredible view of the city. When we entered our hotel room, I was met with what I can only describe as an incredible fairytale-esque moment; lovely red and white rose petals leading up to and onto the bed. It was beautiful, and it was perfect. Saturday evening we were going to head down to
HowlToronto to celebrate with some friends. We headed out to 
raverfox420's place to pick a few of them up, but what I didn't know was that they had once again surprised me with a wonderful homemade dinner! And afterwards, the most delicious homemade Italian buttercream cake. I don't think I'll be able to eat store-bought cake again :P So special thanks go out to 
cyberwulfe and 
AgileFoxen for such wonderful food! I really appreciate all the time and effort that went into making everything so perfect <3And also another huge shoutout to
raverfox420 and cyberwulfe for being amazing DJs and KILLING it on stage and making my evening so very memorable!Sunday evening we headed downtown and met up with a good friend of mine to see The Used. I've been waiting forever to see them and I finally got my chance. Not only that, but we were right up front for the whole show, too! Aaaaaand Bert looked at me <3
Monday was kind of a lazy day. Dodge and I played some Super Mario 3D World (you can be CATS) and then stopped in at The Court Jester pub for dinner. It's kinda my new favourite place and I definitely want to host some bar hangouts there soon!
All in all this was really the most amazing weekend I've ever had. It was the most amazing birthday celebration I've ever had. I have the most loving, kind friends that I could ever ask for. And, of course, the most amazingly sweet and loving boyfriend in the whole world. Thanks so very much for making these last few days so magical <3

FE Weekend Recap
Posted 10 years agoLast weekend was a blast! Friday morning we all piled into a full car and sped off for the hotel around 8. We were there a bit before 9 and were luckily able to check into our hotel a bit before opening ceremonies.
The weekend seemed to fly by. It hardly felt like I'd spent three days there. But between all the excitement and running around and late nights and dancing and drinking, I was super glad for some well-needed rest. I ran into so many old friends and made a bunch of new ones, too. I love you all so very much!
Other than a wee bit of problems with staff and other douches, things went pretty smoothly. I got some pretty nice stuff from the dealer's den, too! All in all it was a really great weekend and I hope to see your wonderful faces soon!

What is everyone doing for Christmas dinner? Ham, turkey, or like my family, both?
I know some folks don't celebrate/don't look forward to Christmas time, so to those individuals, hang in there, and don't you ever forget that you have friends who love you unconditionally <3
Try to enjoy the holidays. I know I'll be seeing a few folks during this vacation time, and I sincerely hope I'll get to spend more time with those I hardly see in the new year!
