Hey everyone who's still around my page...as the title says, there comes times when you just need a clean slate...and I think for me, that time is now. I've undergone many a personal shift over the past few years, and I feel that my current wolf character, Arcuro, is dated and worn. For the longest time, a fursona to me was an animal representation of who I was. Arcuro is bitter, cynical, dark, and vengeful...as I am. However the more I age, the more those traits seem ultimately corrosive and adolescent. In the name of healthy balance, I won't ignore that darkness which formed a large bit of my self-identity and tempered me in the hard-scrabble years of my life...but I do think it is time to evolve. I'm changing my fursona into a husky, named Zaro; and with him, stepping into the paws of a dog who, instead of representing the traits I possess, represents the ones to which I aspire. One who is more optimistic, keeps his eyes on the horizon, knows the value of hard work, and doesn't mind pulling the sled, so long as it's a sled worth pulling. Dayyumm...it's been a while since I've put anything up here! :O ...Well, it's been a crazy last few months, and will probably be a crazy few more. Had to see a few friends go, made a few more...had some bad times, and some really great ones too. But things are lookin' up, and I'm gonna keep my hopes on the wind, and my paws moving forward. Here's to the future!

So, I just paid for my spot in queue for my fursuit! Whoo! It's just a partial, for now...head, tail, hand and digi footpaws...as the full suit with body would have been astronomical...but I'm happy. It should be done by Nov-Dec this year, where I'll probably make my first appearance at FF '13. Then one more tax return later, onto the body! :3

So I just got back from Furry Fiesta, and I gotta say, it...was...a...BLAST! It was my first con, and I couldn't have had more fun. Kind of reminds me of 2's description of FC; "feels like the con fucked us hard all for three days straight, and then kicked us to the curb without cash or cab fare"...I am so beat. xD But in the best way. Usually when I go on vacation, I'm back before I know it, and I felt like I didn't even do anything...but this was different. I actually felt like I grew a little, inside...went somewhere in my mind. I never really felt close to the community, because I'd never seen more than one or two other furs (aside from my roomates) IRL. It was just like, something that happens on the internet. But then, here I was, standing in a big hotel resort lobby, surrounded by a ton of giant animal people and more tails and ears than I could count...and all the regular people just looking onward uncomfortably; daring not say a word--being so vastly outnumbered...like, "See? This is how I feel among you people...uneasy and out of place." It was such a feeling being the majority :3

So...it seems I have found my true love for the fandom, and I think I've found my niche, as well. I want to be a fursuiter. I saw all shapes and sizes...all manner of temperments, attitudes, behaviors...and I must say, I feel no matter what, anyone can be at home. I have the money for one, and am looking around at open suitmakers...so yeah. That may happen soon!
