PSA on commission completion time

For current owed and future art commissions I will be giving firm, realistic deadlines and keeping things better organised generally. I have been advised by my therapist to work to keep deadlines and work in a predefined order rather than tackle which projects I have the most spoons for or feel pressured to get done sooner than others.
Will tackle some time keeping/management later today.

Miraculously my bag and all of its belongings were found at 2:40am Amsterdam time by the chief of security who actually spent time asking if I was okay earlier WOAH.
Anyway, I’m Finland bound once more 💖🌟🐭

I was on a flight to Finland to be with muffinhop for a week.
Upon getting out of the plane in my layover at Amsterdam my bag went missing with half of my belongings I had on me.
Including my passport, debit cards and Nintendo Switch 2.
They weren’t able to find my bag and it has been presumed stolen.
Without my passport I cannot get past passport control and am being sent home after hours of KLM and the airport staff treating me like dirt.
I am being forced to stay in the airport all night and being forced home to the UK.
luckily I have my phone, laptop and clothes but everything else just vanished.
I am autistic and have pretty severe depression.
Devastated is an understatement, and to be honest the switch 2 is just a piece of plastic but the fact that I can’t see muffinhop has crushed me.
I may set up a go fund me depending on what happens after tonight but I’d feel bad about that.
It is what it is.

General | Posted 2 months agoHi all I've had no complaints thus far but just wanted to say im sorry about the spamming of my price sheets for various things over the past few days, I'm flying to another country for a week on the 30th of September and just trying to generate some attention and paid work. I will return to posting some finished projects instead soon.

General | Posted 5 months agoSo I am finally recovering from being sick with some kind of flu/covid situation since literally the day after I got back from Finland, it recovered a bit over a week ago but then I got bronchitis from the bad breathing and coughing.
I’d say I’m about 90% back to normal now! …
But at the same time I missed out on over two weeks of working on commissions and exercise through it 💀
But yknow these things happen, I’m back to working on coms daily from Sunday and Friday streams will be regular again.

On Tuesday the 13th of May I will be flying to Finland to spend two weeks with my girlfriend
muffinhop !!
It is my first time flying and I purchased the flight tickets months ago and have been preparing to go since.
I'm very excited to be going!
Friday art commission streams will continue while im there! we both have more than acceptable means to draw and get work done, but anything outside of that will be kinda slow since we'll be focusing on spending time together.
at the least we will spend an hour each day we can working on our stuff.

General | Posted a year agoUPDATE: surgery went fine! took them about 20 mins all in, had aesthetic and such, I've been back home over an hour or so. Little bit of discomfort but nothing terrible. Was just really anxious through the whole procedure. big thanks to my partner Muffinhop for keeping me calm today.

Just letting people know: I have small surgery later today that just needs a few stitches, should be absolutely fine but as far as I know I probably won’t be working on anything today or Thursday and will probably be okay by Friday, we’ll see. Will keep people posted!

LIFE UPDATE: Severe flooding and damage to our house.

Over the past month me and my family have been dealing with leaking in the kitchen ceiling/bathroom floor which caused multiple instances of further disrepair in the house. Cut to over this weekend the entire kitchen ceiling plastering fell through entirely and caused damage to the kitchen and was super unsightly and hard to deal with.
We were only just able to get an assessor from our insurance company out today (26th of june 2024) to assess the water content in the wood and surrounding structure caused by the leak in the bathroom floor/kitchen ceiling and basically the whole thing is completely ruined and fucked beyond repair so now it needs to be rebuilt entirely.
We cannot even have work done until all the boards and supports have completely dried out in a few weeks time, and once they have my family and I will likely have to find temporary accommodation (which will also be paid out by insurance) so for the next couple of weeks we have to put up with a partially dismantled bathroom until we're ready to move out: Not only that but we may need to be away from the house for months while work is being completed.
This is a scary and worrying situation and my family are just doing what they can now so it doesn't get worse. I myself am continuing work on commissions both 2D and 3D during this time as normal and I plan to continue once I move out to temporary accomidation as I'm taking my wacom cintiq with me to wherever we end up going.
One thing I may ask for in this situation is: I need people to interact with me and check up on me either online or face to face, I think its important that I stay sociable and stable during this situation.

I will be removing the imgur links to my previous comics work focusing on Tank I had created while at University.
There are a few reasons, one is that imgur will be permanently removing all NSFW content in May and as my only mirror for some of this stuff I have decided to download it all and archive it in cloud storage for the foreseeable future. Other reasons is that I've kind of grown apart from the work and have a strange relationship to it. I don't regret making it and I got some great feedback but In years since I've gotten a lot of emotions out of my system and I dont overshare as much as I used to. Other reasons is that as edgy and poignant the content is I don't think it's suitable or appropriate for a portfolio so I have decided to refocus on building an all new one for hopefully future employment but I will probably be pivoting to video editing and graphics design on that front.
Content being removed:
- My Cartoon Sexuality: How drawing cartoon erotica saved my life
- Just Pat my head and tell me I'm good
- Another Girl Another Planet
- The more successful of these, the My Cartoon Sexuality video essay, will be privated on youtube permanently from today 20/04/2023
