So I'm writing this journal do provide some important informations considering my private life which - obviously - has a huge influence on everything that happens here (mostly commissions).
Upcoming week is going to be full of tests reducing my spare time to - basically - zero!
That means all the commissions I'm working on right now will get a huge delay (by huge I mean a week, probably the weekend after that tough week will give me a moment to take a breath and work on commissions for a while)

Hello everyone!
Even though I've almost no time to draw, and I'm not publishing any new arts (or do this very rarely), I'm glad to see that the number of watches is growing.
The reason is obvious - university. We are getting closer to the end of the semester so the increased amount of work is expected.

So, the May began and so did the expected crapload of different projects, exams, tests and things like that, so without further explanation - that's gonna be a hard month.
But the more I have to study, the more I should draw to keep the balance between both so my brain has the best potential it can get.
I'm not yet opening any new slots, as there's still one left so I'm waiting until someone will decide to take it ^ ^

Oh, and did I mention how much I love Spring? BECAUSE I DOOO!

I'm hungry and have no idea what to eat, but that's not the point.

The point is - I am really surprised and happy to see that CN or Disney can produce cartoons of an exquisite quality - considering years of crap they put out, sudden change is something I didn't expect.
But here we are now with Steven Universe, Gravity Falls and Adventure Time (and Regular Show - the plot is there but developing very slowly, compared to SU or GF or even AT, and it's basically made for laugh, yet I'm curious where it will go in the future)

And the recent one I'm crazy about is - obviously - Steven Universe.
I had a negative approach toward this show as it didn't really appear as something for me to find interest in, but I was very positively surprised.
The story that this show presents is very mature. Topics it touches are rarity in cartoons, not to mention the way they are presented - for a children it's just gonna be a lot of fun, however adults will find the second meaning, sometimes wondering how can they put something that "heavy" into a cartoon.
Also what really got me in SU is how mature characters are, how realistic relationships they have. Everything is at it's perfection.

It's that good. And the worst is when you try to explain someone how amazing the show is, but they will neglect it no matter how good it is - only because it's just a cartoon. And cartoons are for kids, right?

It's very narrow-minded, but what can I do. I'm lucky to experience these shows ^ ^

About a day ago I've finally bought a(n) SSD!
And there are no word to describe the magic it made... Everything runs so fast, so fluent. I knew switching from slow HDD to SSD is going to make a difference, but I did not expect this to be that huge!
The model I bought is Crucial SSD MX100 256GB
I've also ordered a 2nd hdd caddy to insert my old HDD instead of DVD-driver which I don't really use any more, it's really useless. Estimated time of delivery is about 22 days.... ._____.
I mean.... srsly... 22 days....
It can even be about 40 ....

So I'm writing about my recent upgrade not only to brag about it, but also to explain myself as it caused a little delay in my commission progress because I need to set everything up as it was before and it takes time.
Also I was truly short on time recently because of this, and because of my university project which turned out to be not that urgent now, as the deadline was moved to future far away ^.^

So tomorrow I'll try to sit at least for a little while to work on  ruckz's and  zollith's commissions. Sorry guys ^.^'

So I've finally decided to give it and try and start my own accounts ^.^

So I ended up buying Intuos Pro S...

I just... I went to the store and saw this beauty on the shelf. Love at the first sight... LITERALLY!
I don't care if it's small - A6(slightly bigger). I was considering Intuos P&T M, but bezels around the active area are too small, causing your hand to fall off the tablet surface while you still haven't reached the end of the active area with the pen tip, so it kinda makes it impossible to utilize wholly.

I should get my tablet after the upcoming weekend, in the Monday. There's tiny-little chance that it will arrive before the weekend, but I'm not counting on that. And that would be for good - I have my project due to the next Wednesday so I'd better focus on it, and new tablet would a total and ultimate distraction!

Summarizing - after 10th of December Dobby will be a free elf to draw more and more sexy orcs, trolls and other sorts of monsters and creatures which sexappeal is over 9000 ops (orgasms per second xD)

I have came across a very serious issue.... My tablet is broken - not literally of course. Pen isn't being located properly and on some places it's just going crazy, jumping around the screen. So I guess that means it's time to buy a new one.... And finally WACOM! (before you ask - I tried to fix this and I guess that's the reason it's now permanently broken .__. )

Yet there is another issue as well. So, my currently broken tablet has an active area of A4 size, which is huge and very comfortable to use. And I don't have to mention that any tablet from WACOM with this size is rather expensive and I don't feel like to pay that much for it....

So there are two options - Intuos Pen (small) or Intuos Pen&Touch (medium) (there is also small Pen&Touch, but I really don't care about those touch capabilities... :r)


Intuos Pen is really cheap - and really small, 1/4 of active area that I'm used to.
Intuos Pen&Touch Medium has a bigger active area and this one seems rather ok, not that much smaller than the one I had on my broken tablet. But it's also more expensive.


So there's a question - if I worked so long on a big active area, will I be able to get used to that small active area - 25% of the current one?
Or should I go with Pen&Touch Medium?
Beside my possible adaptation to smaller active area - is that small (like in Intuos Pen Small) comfortable in drawing?

Or maybe there are other good - and cheaper - tablets than WACOM? (I guess not... xd)

I'm looking forward to reading your opinions! ^.^

So, I'm just updating my current status which is something around "OH MY GOD I DON'T EVEN HAVE A TIME TO TAKE POOP"

Ok, I'm exaggerating, but there's so much on my head that I rather shouldn't "waste" my time on drawing. Which isn't wasting because I need this to keep my mind on the best efficiency - you know, using two halves of your brain, synchronization and etc.
Anyway, two tests in the next week, three labs - all are rather going to be quite demanding. Not to mention a project which is due to 8.12 - so there's not much time left, and not much done as well. This is what happens when you procrastinate too much...
Oh! And a homework on the next Thursday. And a homework for the labs on the next Wednesday.
Did I mention another test in the Monday (next next, not the one in - like - 25 hours xd)

So.... Yeah. That's quite a lot of things to take care of so don't be worried or anything if new comic pages don't appear, or any other art.

But I hope most of the things won't be too hard - some really aren't, I already feel quite well prepared for these tests, but a little bit of studying to sort thing out in my mind is necessary - and I'll have a little bit of a time to draw something. Especially  flamingfirefury's commission :r

The whole process should look somewhat like this:

1. You commission me, selecting an option, describing what your idea - I'm ok with drawing from description, but it needs to be written properly, containing all the details you can give. If also provide you with an ESTIMATION of the price, it may vary from the final price though!

2. I draw a rough sketch to show you the general setting of characters, their shapes etc. and change anything until the sketch fits your idea.

3. The next step is a "clean" sketch. Still, if you want something changed - no problem. I'm not going to charge you extra, sketch is the moment when everything has to be set almost perfectly and it usually takes about 70% of the entire time spent on work.

3. If you accept the final sketch - payment should be done and I begin to work on line work, colours...

4. I keep you updated with the progress, and there should always be a possibility for a minor changes.
