I couldn't pass up the offer (and I wanted to help her anyway), but I have no idea what I want drawn. So I'm taking suggestions - it just has to include Ark (check my Flist if you have questions about what is acceptable). However, I have a new condition: the character you suggest (to be paired with Ark) must be your 'sona - not an alternate/adopted character.

Seriously. Bored and feeling a bit spacey today. Ask me anything (that you actually want to know/talk about, let's not be ridiculous now).

I've been fighting with my art block yet again. This time I'm forcing myself to continue to draw up storyboard sketches for the comic I eventually want to start.

One of the potentially fun things I want to do in this comic is allow for other people to have their 'sonas involved. These could be major or minor roles; background characters, villains, allies, sex cameos, fight/death scenes, etc.

I've been thinking... If I do offer cameos (free or paid), I will have to include some stipulations. Most importantly: characters' owners retain intellectual property rights, but grant use of their character in the comic, without compensation beyond credit given to said IP owner.

What do you all think?

My morning stomach ache was nothing compared to the pain I've been fighting since I opened my garage to leave for work. Stop now if you don't want to read about a suffering animal.



There are feral cats in my neighborhood. Victims/progeny of cats left behind/abandoned during the housing market crash. The sweet elderly couple that live next door feed these cats. I even rescued one - an abandoned little 3-day old kitten. But I cannot save them all. Anyway, last night I saw a new little kitten; had to have been no more than a month old... It looked sickly, but all I could do was put out some water for it.

This morning, upon opening my garage door, I saw the poor thing lying on the road, close to the curb (like it was laying beside the tire of the car that was parked there overnight). I figured it was dead... So I grabbed some paper towels and picked it up. It moved it's front legs very slowly and weakly (eyes shut/gunked over). Then I noticed its shallow gasps for air. Ants were already crawling on it... I knew it would die soon. From what, I don't know... But now I cannot get the images out of my head. Those gasps replaying in my head constantly. I didn't know what to do, so I placed it somewhere out of the way. I only hope that it passed on shortly afte I left. I couldn't bring myself to end its suffering...

I am not an emotional person (I'm rather stoic). Death does not bother or upset me. But seeing innocent animals suffer... That gets to me. Cats especially. I've been kind of a miserable wreck all morning. I can't wait for this day to be over now...

I just don't know what to do. There isn't much I can do. I just want to curl into a ball and hide under my bedsheets. But I'm stuck at work for another 5 hours. Ugh.

I'll probably delete this journal later. I just... Needed to vent this, I guess.

Is it just extreme laziness, or what? It baffles me when I see YCHs where the male character slots are cropped so that all that is visible is a dick and maybe a limb (hand/thigh/arm). Why is that acceptable, and why do people even bid on those slots? It's even worse when it's just a floating, disembodied penis. Unless your character has a super unique wang, how can you even justify paying for it?

I know some folks can't stand YCH pieces in the first place... I'm okay with them, because it gives people an opportunity for art, especially if they are terrible at coming up with ideas/poses (something I struggle with, myself).

So  Celestina inspired me to draw someone getting a tongue bath by a naughty Cacodemon from Doom. I just need a female (human or fur/scalie) volunteer.

Though I'm not a very enthusiastic person, I still care about others. I feel like right now is a good time to express that you should never give up on yourself. Even if you feel isolated and alone, you are a universe unto yourself. Be yourself for you; realize that you are a whole being unto yourself. Live your life for you - even if that means helping others - do it because you want to, not because you feel like it is expected. Do good; do the right thing because it is right, not because you want a reward.

So... I resubbed. I don't even know why... I've been wanting to get into an MMO, but nothing out there is very appealing.

Ok, so Im starting to like doing little "side story" comics to go along with the main one I'm working on (Vagabond Souls). So far I've got two side stories in the works, and I just had an idea for another...

So I intentionally draw Ark with long eyelashes and long hair - partly because of the influence Amano's art has on me; the other being because I dig femboys (tho not as much as I like women xP). Today this got me thinking... What if Ark was in a scenario where his only chance at survival or mission success was to dress up like a woman? Would he be a cute trap that someone couldn't resist (friend or foe)?

So here's where you come in (hur hur) - and consider this a rarity: who has a male (femboy a plus, but not necessary) character that wouldn't be able to resist helping himself to Ark's "trap card" (sorry, couldn't resist)? Just to clarify, this means you have the opportunity to have your male character "top" Ark (not something he normally allows).

Post your ref and any ideas you have (including wardrobe). I only have a vague scenario in my head right now, so I'm open to lots of ideas... Maybe Ark is infiltrating a hideout, or trying to make it through a hostile checkpoint unnoticed, gathering intel, or whatever ideas you have.

I only ask that you be a watcher (even if it's after this journal) and be patient. Art is my hobby, so I go at my own pace (and work on several different ideas at any given time).
