Posted 14 years agoSO I caught on video, my a.versi sling creating some web just moments after I was holding it! This tells ME at least, that it wasn't much bothered/stressed while running about my hands.
Keep any death threats to yourself! My spider doesn't appreciate them and nor do I. I'm an arachnophobic and if I can handle holding these guys and keeping them as pets, you can handle watching the video. And if you CAN'T handle watching the video, then don't click play <3

Another Rant? No not really, just a discussion!
Posted 14 years agoSO I've been curious, I've seen people "auction" off characters or "adoptables" and such a lot lately. It seems to be a fad.
What's the deal? Why would anyone pay money to "own" another character. If I wanted a character like the one being sold, I'd just design one that was different, inspired by but by far not a copy cat of that character. Kind of like what I did with Toravon. I liked all the smooth lizzy characters out there and so I said to myself, y'know, I want a character like that. I've done nothing with him aside from a ref sheet, and a piece of art with Ark, but it was rather easy to take what I liked about all the lizzy characters out there, mix in my own inspiration as well as aspects of other characters that I liked in films/shows/literature and come out with something entirely new and mine.
Now I do understand that some of these "sales" come with "ownership" over all the art that was comished for said character etc. But unless that's primarily traditional media, who cares? Digital media, you just right click and save. There, I have said art. I would obviously never claim it to be my own art or my own design, but why would paying some money make that any more of a valid option? You still didn't design the character, it's still not from your mind or your heart and you didn't design and comish all that art either.
The only real way I can see this practice to be valid is if someone was selling their character and it had a fursuit or something associated with it. Because when you put that suit on, you can truly BE that character as far as anyone else is concerned. When it's just pixels on a screen or scribbles on paper... what are you really buying?
I'm not bitching or ranting, I'm just asking if yall know something I don't. I get that people see things from different points of view. What are your's?

Donations and Debt and Furries (Rant)
Posted 14 years agoOK So before I start this, this is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM directed at people with legitimate financial needs and emergencies like SportyPup and whatnot. NOR is this directed at the people who take on commissions that they can actually fill in a reasonable amount of time at lower than usual prices in order to get through a financial rough patch. No this is directed at people who... well I was going to say people who know who they are, but the sad truth is, they probably don't. They're just that socially retarded...
Also, if you don't like rants, I don't do them often, so don't read if you don't want to hear me bitch.
So what are you talking about you crazy crazy bird? I'm talking about people who have debt. People who want a fursuit that they can't afford or wont save up for. People who don't have a job but haven't left their Mom's basement in an attempt to find one aside from 3 months ago when they dropped off an application at the gas station down the street.
These people, they are posting "donation drives" to get money to carry their lazy asses through life. And the worst part of it is? People, are ACTUALLY GIVING THEM MONEY! And no I'm not talking about a measly dollar or two here or there. No I saw one just now that someone had given them over 120 dollars! IN ONE DONATION! Why?
They have debt. So what? I have debt. I have things I want now but can't have because I have financial obligations that need to be met first and foremost. You know what I do? I work. I go to work every day so that I can pay my bills and live the life I want to live. I would LOVE to quit my job, get a regular job (one that doesn't require me to submit my 8 years of electronics technician experience in the form of a resume) and use my GI Bill and go to college and move in with my boyfriend back home. But I can't. I'm on the road 100% of the time, I get to visit a weekend out of the month typically, sometimes longer and then bam I'm back out on the road.
So here's the deal. Out there, there seems to be some furry's that don't know what to do with their money. So they are giving it to these basement dwelling people who are too lazy to really work for it. (before you get your panties in a bunch, please re-read the top paragraph). Y'know what? To you furry's with too much money on your hands, I propose you give me some lovin too! Posted 14 years agoSo, I went to gamestop, went to reserve a 3DS yesterday, because like, I wasn't sure what state I'd be in when it came out and I just arrived in Leesville Louisiana. They told me oh, you can't get one til friday but you can preorder for then. So I said well lemme check out walmart. They weren't going to carry em at all til the 20th of next month so I went back.
