I am significantly more depressed and resentful than I let on...

(Note: I really don't want to seem like I'm whining, but this is honestly the biggest thing I could come up with.)

First off, I want to say that I do have quite a few people in my life that care about me, that I've (unintentionally) not hung out with as much as I could, but I've actually talked to them about the reasons why; more often than not it's because they want me to come along to a event or something that honestly doesn't hold my interest / I can't really afford at the moment; they're usually pretty cool about this, and appreciate my honesty.

But, I'm really just a mess inside when I'm by myself. If I didn't have Tracy and a few others, I don't know what I'd do. I don't entirely know if it's by intention, but I could swear that the people I try to get close to and be good friends with, just think I'm really weird and push me away.

It's been like that all my life, actually. People that I thought were my friends when I was little, would secretly make fun of me and write awful, terrible things about me. Most of my childhood until I was 12 was like this; being called retarded, being beaten because I was "weird". Well, you know what? I like being "weird", and something that I learned from the furry community, is that I'm honestly fairly tame compared to some -- not that I mind! I LIKE it when people are weird! It's when people start being strange and wishing harm upon others that I worry.

I digress. It's really hard to write this, without feeling as though I'm just seeking pity or comfort, but I swear that I'm not. It just pains me greatly that even now, there are people I know, people I look up to, that just seem to completely ignore the fact that I exist. Thanksgiving was a great example of this, as an entire group of our friends (some of which I considered to be fairly close) got together and shared the evening together, without even so much saying a word to me, knowing that we'd be by ourselves since Tacy's brother couldn't make it down here.

I just feel like I'm worthless these days, that no matter how much I try with these people that say they're my friends, I'll just continue to be looked over, or cast as the weird-quiet-furry-guy-who's-into-a-bunch-of-weird-sex. I'm not THAT screwed up, am I?

I really don't know. I wish I could just let this go, cut all of my ties with these people, and forget they ever existed; erase the past, erase the pain. More than that, though... I wish I didn't feel so much resent toward these people. I love them, but I don't think they know how much they've hurt me, and I can't bring myself to say anything about it, other than writing this journal.

I will say though, to those of you have given the time to listen to me, to actually care in the slightest of what I do, Thank You. From the bottom of my heart, THANK. YOU. I try my best to stay positive, and I know that I need to get out into the world more, meet new people, but it's so difficult when you grew up in fear, both at home and in school. I'm afraid of the world outside, and I shouldn't be. I should be exploring it with Tracy.

Seriously, it was a pretty awful relationship. This is actually one of my largest regrets, without a doubt. I can only imagine how much better of a musician I'd be today if I had only kept them up when I was little; starting back up when you're older is frustrating.

3. Quitting My Job At City Coffee.
It might sound silly, but I really wish I had kept this job. I love working as a Barista, and while this job was on the other side of town, I was working a fixed schedule of 25 hours a week, and making $25-$30 a day in tips; more than enough to pay for the gas in my Accord. That, and I worked with some really chill people, and all of the customers at our kiosk were super-nice to me. I wore my maid outfit there for Halloween as well, which got a lot of positive response. <3

Instead, I gave it up for a little coffeehouse that was a short walk away, less hours, but higher pay per hour. I ended up making significantly less, and the owner/my co-workers were horrible, rude people that I wanted to scald with freshly made espresso.

4. Every Stupid Argument I've Ever Had.
Which were usually caused by me not taking the time to think/articulate my thoughts.

5. Stealing That Sandwich When I Was 18.
You have no idea how much trouble this caused me. I was denied for housing, and lost a very respectable job with an after-school program because of this. I LEARNED MY LESSON TO NOT STEAL SOMETHING BECAUSE I HAD NO MONEY TO EAT. :|

6. Not Standing Up For Myself or Others More Often/Letting People Push Me Down.

Also, if you're going to be a dick about it, and you're on my watch list, consider yourself removed. I don't want to associate with people who feel the need to announce their 'moral superiority' and lord it over others.

There are plenty of things I'm not into that I see, but I don't wish them banned, because I know what's real and what isn't, and I respect the fact that the furry fandom has a wide variety of some very strange fetishes.

1. I am my own worst critic, and stress out too much thinking that I'll never be as good of a musician as I want to be. I know deep down that I'm getting better: it just takes time and energy.

2. I am incredibly shy. I'm fine communicating between comments or shouts on peoples' pages/Facebooks, but when it comes to actually IMing/emailing/calling/meeting someone for the first time, I am basically a nervous wreck inside.

3. I have a bad habit about forgetting to eat, usually because I'll get wrapped up in something else, and then wonder why my body is shaking. I once nearly blacked out from doing this, too; it wasn't until I noticed that my vision was blurring that I actually ATE SOMETHING. BAD ARMAND.

4. Large crowds give me panic attacks. Not like concerts or anything FUN, but being in a crowded store really triggers it. A good example was earlier this week when I did our Thanksgiving shopping, but I really only have myself to blame for that one.

5. I originally started growing my hair out to make myself look more feminine. It's fairly long now, and I don't think I could deal to part with it. ;_;

6. I'm a sucker for electronic instruments. Especially analog synthesizers. I love sweeping pads and funky blips and beeps. Deep, droning sine waves are a comfort as well.

7. I spend a lot of time in my head, and tend to completely tune out my surroundings -- this is especially true when I'm making music. Oftentimes, when I am recording something, I'll go on for 8-10 minutes at a time before realizing I've been repeating the same sounds.

8. Procrastination will be the death of me. I always get things done in a timely fashion; it's just GETTING STARTED is the real problem. I'm FINALLY (hahahahaha) starting to break this bad habit after 20~ years of having it.

9. I love love love snuggling. It is seriously one of my most favorite things ever. I love hugs as well, and chances are, if we're friends online or some such, and we meet in person, I WILL LIKELY ASK TO HUG YOU. I am not afraid of platonic affection WHATSOEVER.
