I've been finished with classes for... a while now, but forgot I had announced closing commissions here.
Well'p, they're open again.

I'm still undecided on posting publicly in general, but I'm sure some of you have seen my recent work, posted by others; those would be fairly representative of where I'm at, art-wise.

Anyway, for now, prices are as follows:

Lineart - 40$ + 20$/extra
Flat colour - 60$ + 30$/extra
Full colour - 90$ + 45$/extra

Watercolour:
Small (4" x 6") - 80$ (no extras)
Large (9" x 12") - 150$ + 75$/extra

Prices are USD, and cover anywhere from half-body to full-body. I'll figure out prices for busts & headshots if there's interest.
"Extras" are things like a background, or characters beyond the first.

Payment is expected once the sketch is finished and approved, but you can pay beforehand.

SFW and NSFW accepted, but I reserve the right to turn down any kinks/themes I might have issues with.

Hullo everyone.

As the title says, I'll be closing commissions until further notice.
I've signed up for a 2D animation course some time ago, and it just started. Since I don't know how much work it's going to be to keep up with it all, I'm erring on the side of caution and won't be accepting any more commissions while it's going on.

Commissioners waiting on art will still get it; this only applies to adding more people to my list.

I may open up slots around christmas time, though that'll depend on how roughly the program's treating me and how tired I feel. If you want a commission from me, do keep an eye out for that.
If things seem particularly slow and manageable, it's also possible that I'll open slots somewhere down the line outside of the holidays, but this is something I'll have to feel out before committing to.

I'm not entirely sure what this all will do to my posting, either. I don't know if I'll want to post classwork on here, don't know if I'll keep doodling and put that up, heck I don't even know whether I'll even want to post at all (which is generally the case nowadays), or even somehow want to post more.
It's too early to tell, I admit, but I suppose it's better to say "I don't know" than not say anything.

I'll be at FWA with a group of friends, whom I'm meeting in person for the first time (most of them at least).
I usually set up on artist alley during conventions, but chances are I'll be a regular attendee this time around, so I can go to panels and events with that group of friends. So, unfortunately, I can't simply point to artist alley as a way to find me there.

That being said, if anyone else is going and wants to meet up, feel free to comment, or send a note or anything; I'd be glad to figure out where and when to do so!

Posting online, that is.

It's been about a year now since I've felt that urge to post something. I still draw (sometimes), I still like it, and I still show some friends... I just don't wanna put it up on sites. ArtFight 2022 was the last time I *really* wanted to show a lot of my work publicly, and that was just like a burst of motivation from an event. The latest pic is about the same, a bit of seasonal excitement.

I've accumulated a ton of backlog, and at this point it's like, I don't really care anymore to do upkeep. And I don't think all that many people care to see what I have either anyways. Things aren't working out for me like I wanted, and it doesn't feel sustainable or worth it to keep going with them and catch up on things.

So I don't know anymore. It took a month of mental prep just to post this journal, and I'm still nervous about sounding edgy, pathetic, whiny or anything else. Posting actual artwork feels about the same, just with different labels to be worried about.

I'm still around and reachable, mostly on Discord (ArmedDillo#8384) and Telegram (@ArmedDillo). I'm not disappearing from the internet, just... I guess don't expect all that much public art for the foreseeable future.

First, I'd like to say that I'm not moving accounts; I'm simply splitting my content between SFW and NSFW. I'd been meaning to do this for a while, but never really got around to it until now. I hadn't been posting for the past couple months, and that's kinda because I was psyching myself up to make the account and all.


I'll be using ArmedDillo for SFW, and DisarmedDillo for NSFW. I won't delete any submissions because of this, nor will I reupload anything to DisarmedDillo that's already on this account. I think this is the simplest way to go about it for everyone; I don't need to spend a lot of time deleting and reuploading, and you guys don't have to comb through all those submissions and re-favourite the ones you already had.

I'll admit I'm a little worried about how well I can manage two accounts, so here's hoping I deal with it alright.

Well, I guess it was about time I started a Patreon. I'll be posting sketches on there that I've never posted anywhere else, mostly from the art jams I've been organizing for 2 years now. More goodies might be made available over time depending on what people want.

And thought I'd start to make images for each of these. While I was there, I thought I'd let people who would like to see their character(s) in one of these, grab slots if they'd like to. I'll draw each of these in order, from top to bottom, left to right (e.g. Anxiety comes first, then Constant Rambling, Damned If I Do, and so on) and will draw them whether someone takes the slot or not.

-Update: my schedule has changed, I can't do these as regularly as I could before. I'll still complete one per day when my evening is free (usually weekends)

TL;DR I won't be posting much of anything for a while, nor will I be taking new commissions, because my wrist hurts pretty bad and I'm gonna take the time to get it fixed before I start drawing again.

So I went to see a doctor today about wrist pains I've been having for... longer than I want to admit, and it turns out (if the diagnosis is correct this time) that I have tendonitis. Serves me right for being on the computer all day, right? Either way, that means anti-inflammatory medicine and physical therapy for a while, I don't know how long yet.

It also means I'm gonna have to avoid drawing until I'm all better, especially digital since that's what's been making the pain flare up most noticeably. I sincerely apologize to anyone waiting on a commission (all one of you, technically two) and anyone hoping to see more digital drawings from me. I've been pushing back these wrist issues for a while now, but now that I know what to do about them, I'll be committing to healing up so I can get back to work as fast as possible.

Thank you for understanding, and sorry again! I'll try and remember to update if something new comes up.

Hello everyone! With the amount of people who have been commissioning me nowadays, I thought it might be a good idea to ask about my current commission prices. A few people have told me in the past that I was underselling myself, so I wanna get opinions from you guys who watch me and may (or may not) be interested in commissioning me in the future.

I'd also like to hear from you guys whether you think the current "model" I'm using to list my prices is alright, or if I should be using a different kind. Should I be offering more than just full body commissions? If so, what else would you guys like to see in my price list, and what should I change?

Yeah, I am in fact open for commissions. You might not have noticed because I didn't post my prices, so this is where they'll be from now on. Loads of people have been telling me that I was underselling myself, both before and after I opened them the first time, so I decided to bump my prices up from last time. Prices listed for backgrounds assume a simple background that does enough to situate characters in a scene. Complex backgrounds cost the same as an extra character.

TL;DR, Furnal Equinox 2016 was great. Extra corn and extra cheese thanks to everyone for various things.

As I type this, I've only just come back from Furnal Equinox 2016. Granted, I was tired for most of it and a little less involved than the previous years as a result, but it was a memorable convention nonetheless. I didn't get to speak to most people I had gotten acquainted with in the previous years, but that's okay. I got to meet plenty of other people, and also to speak to one of the guests of honour for this year, TaniDaReal. It was kinda unusual and a bit frightening to get started, but it definitely ended up being a very enjoyable talk.

The reason this year is special, though, is because it marks the first time that I've shared this account in person with people. I was always very afraid that I would be judged harshly for drawing the things that I do, but I took a risk this year and was amazingly surprised. Literally no one raised a bother about it. I'm so very relieved to come to that realization, that no one in the furry community is judging me for liking or drawing certain things. I knew furries weren't very judgmental to begin with, but this is really the first time that I've been so directly struck by that acceptance and tolerance, and it makes me very happy.

It's also a very special convention to me because in addition to that, it's the first time I feel I've been able to promote myself and share contact information so freely. It always felt wrong for me to advertise myself until now, and I think I'm getting over that feeling. For this, I have to thank everyone over the years who encouraged me to make myself more well-known, to spread my name out. It took all this time but I'm starting to do it, and I don't think I would have if I hadn't felt like it could be a good idea.

While I'm thanking people, there are a few others that I'd like to mention. First of all, even if none of them are reading this, a big thank you to everyone who attended Furnal Equinox, whether over the years or for the first time this year. The ambience just wouldn't be the same without so many of you great, friendly, weird, loving and fantastic people.

It seems, also, that there are now over 100 people following my account! A very special thank you to  rears for popping that three-figure cherry!
I'd also like to thank everyone else who's following me. I might just be a niche kinky artist, but every one of you is significant to me, the sign that something that I've made and continue to make is appreciated, even if it's weird. I don't want to take any of you guys for granted, nor do I want to think of you only as part of "my statistics", and if I had the drive (and didn't think it would be awkward to go and leave shouts on so many people's pages), I would thank each of you individually.

I'm on a roll with the gratitude! Let's keep going with the super-special thanks, for those people who are closest to me.
First off  sketchmaster, probably my oldest friend at this point. You're always around and even though you might not know what to do to help me sometimes, it's still good to know I have someone to rely on.
 freedfenrir, for supporting me throughout the years and making it plain and simple that, yes, at least one person does love what I do. I might not always follow your advice directly, but it always ends up being an important factor in my decisions.
 cpt-night, while we may not talk all that often, I always feel good while I'm talking to you. I don't know many others who have the same interests as me, so it's nice to be able to connect with someone on that level.
 heisui, for giving me a chance and making me feel appreciated, not as an artist but as a person. A lot of good things happened in only a year for me, so if I can, I'd like to make the same happen for you too.
And last but not least,  murphyalter,  obeythesnarf, and Shiro who, I think, doesn't have an FA. You guys might not have done anything tremendous like single-handedly putting my life back in order, but you do give me a sense of community, the feeling of stability that gives some semblance of structure to my day-to-day routine.

There's so many more people that I didn't mention, but just because I didn't say your name doesn't mean I don't appreciate you, nor does it mean that you haven't made my life better. Maybe I don't know you well enough yet, or maybe I'm just not sure what to say. Either way, I hope by the next time I start thanking friends, I can include you in the list.
And I know it's cheesy as heck to just start thanking people out of nowhere like that, but I think it's important to do it one way or another. If I didn't do it now, maybe I never would. It's kinda overshadowing the convention wrap-up at this point, but really, I think the event itself may not be quite as important to me as what it means and the changes it brings. And really, that's about all this is; I want to communicate the things that are important to me. Love, caring, support, and improvement.

If you've read through this whole essay, you're a real champ, 'cause this is really unreasonably long for a journal. One final thank you to you if you did, for reading it through.

Yey, another birthday.

I did start looking for a new one before it broke down, and realized that I actually don't like the way any of them are. So it might take even more of a while.

This means no art or streams for a while, unfortunately! I'll do what I can to get online outside of home, but I won't be available for very long if I do. I'm not sure how long this downtime will last, hopefully less than a week...
