Life and Death, Forests and Trees
General | Posted a year agoForest has passed.
For those of us that knew him, we are not hurt. That is not the word for it. We have not stubbed our toe or banged our knee or fallen down.
We are wounded.
A terrible, gaping, throbbing thing, which radiates pulses of agony, horrific to behold.
Now they say that time heals all wounds, and they are correct... but not 100% correct.
Because this wound we have been inflicted with does not heal normally, it needs time yes, but it also needs something else. The wounds we have been inflicted with heal, perhaps fittingly, more like a tree heals.
What do I mean by this?
Well. Take a knife and score your arm. The flesh will part, the blood will flow and the body will immediately react, rushing to scab the wound, knit the flesh back together below it, create scar tissue. Regeneration.
But take a knife and score the trunk of a tree and that wound will stay there forever. There is no regeneration, it does not close itself back up.
So how do trees heal then?
Simple. They do as they have ever done, and they continue to grow. They grow taller, they grow broader, healthy wood and bark covers up the wound, and as the overall organism becomes larger and larger, the wound becomes a smaller and smaller part of the whole.
That is how these wounds heal. Time, yes, but also growth.
But fuck it's not going to be easy. Forest was a titan. Undeniable proof positive of the power of positivity. The cruel wrenching of his life from ours has left a wound that is large indeed, and it is going to take a lot of growth before we can get to that stage where we can look back on his memory and smile at warm glow it provides. But I will get to that stage, because I know this is how he would want it to be.
I can only imagine how those even closer to him than I was feel. I wish them all the best in their growth as well. I believe in each and every one of them, you all know who you are, and I am here for you, if you ever need to reach out for anything.

Archie's Guide to Having That Conversation
General | Posted a year agoHey.
Do you have one of those friends or family members?
You know, the ones that have started using words like 'woke' and 'globalist'? The ones that have started watching PragerU videos on YouTube and are now parroting a bunch of easily disproved misinformation as if it's gospel?
Who am I kidding, of course you do. Everyone has one of those these days.
Well. Today, I am going to help. Talking with them can be difficult, and you are under no obligation to do it. But a lot of us want to. A lot of desperately wish we could keep our friends and loved one from getting caught up in the gears of far right propoganda. I can help guide you.
Changing someone's mind is an art, and far too many people these days treat it as if it's a battle. If you really want to change someone's mind, if you're dedicated towards swaying the other person, then here's my top tip.
Find something to agree with them about.
No. Don't lie to them. Don't say you agree with them about something you don't.
No. Don't compromise on your own beliefs just for the purpose of agreeing with them.
But do find something to agree with them about. It's actually easier than you think.
Why? Because when people feel attacked they put up walls and don armour. Everyone does this. Not just the victims of the alt-right propoganda machine. You do it too, I do it too. If someone approaches you and the first thing out of their mouths is why your beliefs are wrong and bad, actually, then you're gonna square up, get into fight mode and tell them why you're right and they're wrong. So if you do the same thing to your friend then you've sabotaged yourself right out the gate.
So. Let them talk and think about something you can agree with them about. Here's a tip, you don't even have to agree with their political opinions, you can agree with the implications behind their words.
For example, maybe your friend says that trans men shouldn't be allowed to participate in women's sports. You don't have to agree with that, but you could say. "Y'know, I see where you're coming from what that, there are mens and womens leagues in sports for a reason. I can't imagine how much it would suck for someone to train so hard for so long, get to the top of their game and then have all of their work invalidated by people with an unfair advantage. But in this case, I don't think that this is actually happening because..."
Maybe your family member says they're not taking any vaccines because there's a bunch of microchips in them which will let someone control their mind. You don't have to agree with that, but you could say. "Y'know, I totally get where you're coming from. I think the ultra-rich have waaaaay too much power in our society these days, and it's far too easy for them to take the power away from the common people. But when it comes to vaccines, I really don't think they'll control your mind because..."
Maybe they start talking about how there's not really any proof that the holocaust killed that many people and that Hitler really said or did all of those things. Hoo boy. You definitely don't have to agree with any of that. But something that you could say is. "Yeah. A lot of history is written by the winners and unless you were there personally you can never say with 100% certainty exactly what happened. I think the instinct to question what you're being told is a good one, but in this case, I believe that these things happened because..."
People who fall into the alt-right, get caught up in the propganda machine are just as much victims as they are perpetrators. They should not be given a free pass and allowed to spread more hate just because they are victims, and there is a point where they are, perhaps, too far gone for a regular person like you and I to help, and where cutting ties is probably the best and healthiest option for you. But when you understand that they are victims, victims of a massive machine designed to keep them hateful, bitter and at the throats of other normal, working class people rather than their true oppressors, then you start to see the path that they could take back to sanity. They have fallen down this path because they are aware, just as much as you are, that there is something very wrong with society. They have just been pointed in the wrong direction. Turn their gaze back towards those who have actually hurt them.

Explicitly Fatal Language in Vore
General | Posted 4 years agoI just released a story called the Cozy Bunny Inn. It's a vore story about two cute guys having sex, then one digesting the other. The premise is not very different from a lot of vore stories here.
Except that it uses explicitly fatal language.
Rather than 'being digested', the characters die. Rather than a belly 'churning' the prey, the belly is killing the prey.
I've never really felt the need to write a journal before, but I have decided to do so for this one. I am not entirely sure why. I think it is probably because I am aware that this is language which a lot of voraphiles don't like, and can draw a lot of ire.
I started writing this story knowing that was the case, and making a decision to use that language anyway. In fact, I wrote three notes to myself at the top of the story, to reference, which were thus.
1: Tone must, as much as possible, be playful and light despite the harshness of the language in the story itself. This is to give an air of casualness in this world, and attempt to instill the idea that death via digestion is a completely normal, if particularly lewd, thing that everyone accepts as the norm.
2: The sex and vore in this story is to be consensual, albeit influenced by alcohol, and reminiscent of more ‘normal’ drunken hookups. This again will help get across the casual ‘no big deal that people die in other people’s guts’ tone that I’m looking for.
3: Find a way to insert little hints/clues/indicators into the story, that the elf is actually quite powerful. Powerful people being digested by less powerful people is hot. Also helps enforce the tone of consensual-ness if the elf is considered able to handle himself, and getting digested by his own choice.
(I dunno if I fulfilled number 3 that well, but heck it, at some point you gotta stop staring and editing and just upload the damn thing.)
As you may have been able to deduce from the above notes, I wanted to fully embrace the fantasy aspect of this story. Vore is inherently unrealistic, which happily gives authours and artists plenty of room to experiment with theme, content and tone including a world where death is no big deal, and a family can run an Inn, routinely offer themselves to get digested by their patrons and somehow never run out of staff. Don't think too much about it! Enjoy it for what it is!
I don't want to disappoint the vore fans that prefer the more euphemistic language in their content, but this is where my muse led me for this story particularly and I guess I just felt the need to put my thoughts down on text because I know this theme is one that can draw many negative reactions.
Who knows. I'm probably wrong and no one that reads the story will think that it's a big deal at all. But if you wanna ask any questions about it or anything, feel free to do so here.
