Its not a super traditional SS as you know who your partner is lol. but its still a great opportunity to push your limits and wow your peers and get a sweet artdoll for the holidays. Please read journal for more details. Must be an experienced doll artist.

I'm so excited to see how much attention this group has gotten in a two-week span. This is a big deal for us. It means that this group is hopefully getting the snow-ball effect.

I have alot of catching up to do to update the Weasyl and Deviantart account for doll reviews. Should you be curious to see those accounts and submit, please just search for ArtDollCritique. Please leave a shout out (and a note to this group) if you chose to submit there.

And, though this isn't part of the rules, but it is a personal request. I don't mind uploading animated gifs or linking gifs of the dolls. I only request that jpegs of the dolls be offered too. This is an attempt to keep this group uniform on each review thus making it easier to browse by people on any device they choose to use to browse the internet. And sometimes, we just dont like lots of motion in our face when looking at a dolls detail :)

buying artwork is an investment and we want to provide an invaluable reference for reviews on various doll artists. The customer and artist both benefit.

Those of you who have not written a review yet, why did you choose to follow this group? Do you feel it is a more helpful forum to see different art doll artists work from customers? what would you like to see here that you think would add to this groups greatness/helpfulness

This group is inspired by the market that is art doll making. Like fursuits, art dolls are quite an investment. This group wants to allow buyer and peer review on artdolls by various artists. There will be a rating system that will touch on construction, durability, how the product was shipped (as we all know that is something that is highly valued), and communication with the artist before, during, and after the transaction has come to a completion. Commissioned dolls and purchases will be allowed to be reviewed.

This is not a place to name-and-shame, but instead help bring to the surface the true nature of the artist's work that many of us may not have the opportunity to experience.
