Ah, yes, so it is. Today marks my 28th Birthday.

It will, for the most part, just be a regular day for me. Putting in a full day's work then coming home to relax and loose myself into a little TV before calling it a night.

Tomorrow, however, my family is taking me out for dinner to my place of choice. I picked Chinese, a little local restaurant that I have been going to for years and love.

That is about all I have to say on this subject. Oh, well, I did get a new phone out of it but far as gifts go that is all I have gotten, so far.

Every time I see how many submissions I have in my messages I cannot help but sigh. I had taken a very long break from FA, like a year or so, without really looking at any of my messages and just now and then nuking journals. At the moment I have almost 90k of submissions waiting for me to go through and I am very tempted to just nuke and start from scratch. I had done this before with DA when I took a break from there and just did not want to have to spend the time going through everything to get caught up.

I honestly do not want to do that with FA because there is a lot of great art waiting for me to see and I may not get the chance to view them is I simply nuke. While it is a daunting task I am planning to get through them even if it means always being well over a year behind the current art being submitted. Originally I was just faving and removing, but I think I will start leaving comments. It may be older art, but the artists still deserve to get comments on them as well I figure.

FWA was a blast. Is good to be back home, but sucks I have to get back to work right away.

I picked up my new dog yesterday from the airport. ^_^ She is a black and white Pomeranian and is only a couple days short of being 12 weeks old. Her foster name was Bootsie, but the name we have given here is Samantha, or Sam for short, though we mostly call her Sammie. In true geek fashion she is named after a sci-fi character, props to those that can guess from which series. She is quite the energetic little fluff ball and seems to be transitioning into our household fairly quickly. We already have a couple small dogs, a Chihuahua and a Pomchi (Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix), whom are not too happy there is another dog in the house, but they will eventually get use to her. She is pretty brave, no matter how many times the other dogs snarl, bark and snap at her she just keeps running back, trying to get them to play with her. It is actually funny at times because the Pomchi, named Nukii, keeps tucking his tail and running away when she bounds over towards him. I do literally mean bound over as well, she kind of hops as she runs, though tends to fall over whenever she tries to stop. She is already proving to be pretty smart, which is something these dogs are known for, though are also known for being pretty stubborn when it comes to training. I am not actually all that worried about her training, mostly as long as she comes when I call her and knows when to sit and stay I will be happy. If anyone reading this has ever raised a puppy before they know that my biggest challenges will be getting her properly house broken and teaching her not chew on anything and everything she can get a hold of.

If I ever remember to take any actually pictures I will upload them so everyone can see the little cutie.

I have been trying to get to this con since year one and I find myself in a position that this year I finally will.

I plan to show up Sometime Thursday afternoon and will be staying till Sunday. I have had a room available for some time now, at the main hotel, and currently will have two others staying with me. That does mean we still have room for at least one other, if anyone out there is still looking for a place to crash during the con.

Getting some long overdue maintenance done on my FA page.

The only real good thing to come out of getting hit by that car was all the spare time I had while on disability. It was like a month long paid vacation, except I could not go anywhere. Been back to work now for two weeks and I am missing all that free time. My job pays the bills and leaves me enough leftover to have some fun, but it gets draining sometimes when I miss out on so much that is going on with my friends because of it. It is also so draining that what time I do have free during the day I do not exactly have a lot of energy left to do anything.

I was hit by a car last night.

How time flies. Just realized today that the con is next weekend already. Funny how things sometimes sneak up on you like that.

At the moment I am looking for people to stay in my room that would be otherwise put out, or are just looking to cut down on their expenses. Would not mind having people to share the cost myself, but this is not the main reason I am looking for a few roomies. I know there are some out there that the only reason they do not attend conventions is because they cannot afford a room, or there are simply none left.

Yeah, I have an extra bed that is going to waste. I originally asked for 2 beds because someone was going to be joining me, but now it turns out that they wont.

Plane leaves in 3 days.

I have been putting off making any journals about AC, because there seemed little point in just making a general announcement weeks ahead of time I was going to be attending. However, with us reaching the one week mark before my flight I am really feeling the anxiety caused by getting ready to go on a trip. I still do not have everything I want/need, so will be hitting the stores at least one my time.

Getting things ready and packing up for my trip to Seattle. Will be at Rainfurrest Saturday morning.

Finally got of the fence and decided for good to go. Paid for everything last night as well, so there is very little turning back now.

A little nervous since I am going on my own. While I have talked to a few people that are going, I really do not know anyone personally.

My boyfriend also will not be making the trip. I think I would still be a bit on edge, even if he was, but a lot more calm about it all.
