Marxus92 here. I have been inactive on this account for almost half a year now and I think everyone apart of this group, artists and participants alike, deserves a fair explanation as to why.

I started becoming inactive as a result of work and school. I started to bite off more than I could chew and I had a severe falling out with depression. As of recently, I've been fired from my job and one of my three dogs went berserk and went after another dog so I am now caught in that mess as well. It's been an extremely stressful and overall hard time for me and my family. I apologize if my absence has upset anyone apart of this group. I cannot guarantee that I will not have some bouts of absence again. But I will continue to try my hardest to keep this group alive.

If you're still with us, I ask you make your presence known so I know just how much I need to put into this.

 Marxus92 here! It's that time of the week again! It's Friday! Woo! And you all know what a nice and bright Friday mean? That's right, another round!

Another round is going to be later in the day. 5:30pm CT to be exact. Make sure you're on when the journal is posted. I still don't know how long the rounds will be open yet. I usually close them when I feel there has been enough requests, so the artists don't feel like that have to take a lot of requests. It's hard to get an accurate time gauge for when the rounds will close so bare with me on that.

 Marxus92 here. I've noticed this a lot since I've became manager and even been a bit guilty of it myself from time to time... But the main thing about this journal is
!!THANK THE ARTIST!!
I've seen many people recieve art and NOT thank the artist! The thing is that these people don't have to make free art. They could just as easily leave as fast as they came in. They take time out of their day and commission schedule to make free art for you because they're kind people. Not saying thank you to them just seems like a spit in their face in saying you don't appreciate what they do.

Again, I'm no saint of this myself and I feel guilty for it but I plan to start thanking everyone for art. Commission or free.

Another thing I see, while rare, is people disrespecting the artists of this group. Whether it be they didn't do their request or they didn't draw exactly what you were picturing, being rude to our artists is absolutely unacceptable. If you have a problem with an artist acting unprofessionally (insulting, being rude, drawing something you didn't approve of [NSFW art when you asked for SFW]) please note me about it, on my personal account or here, and I will try to resolve the issue so tensions don't get high.
If artists are having a problem with a client being rude to them, also please note me about it, whether on my personal account or on here, and I will try to resolve the issue.
Being disrespectful to anyone on this group will not be tolerated and will be handled promptly.

 Marxus92 here! I have decided that a contest will be held to choose a new icon for ArtFurFree. The original owner had made the icon, and he's with FA no more. I also feel like it would give a little of a new feel to the page.

Now, it's been a few weeks since I was put in charge of AFF and I want to know how I am doing so far! When I heard AFF was needing a new 'someone in charge' I was honestly hesitant about taking the position. I figured that either way I wouldn't get the job so I was pretty surprised when  Sephrendemon gave me a note saying they had chosen me!

I was a bit nervous about it but I've gotten used to it. But I want to be sure that I'm keeping myself up to speed with what you people want to see in a leader. So give me feedback and tell me how I doing! Positive or negative!

Now, as much as I want critique, if you're going to say something negative just to be mean, please don't comment at all. I really want to hear legit things people don't like so I can fix them or explain why they are that way if I cannot fix them.

Yo, here! There is going to be a new round soon. But this one is a little special. It's "The Other Side of the World" session!

Now, usually, I start the rounds at about 6:00pm CDT. This is very early in the morning for everyone in Europe and Asia and anywhere else on the other side of the world. Most of them are asleep during the entire duration of the round and it's very difficult for them to ever score at least a chance in time.

SO! This round is going to happen at 12:00am CDT so some people overseas have a chance! Now, you don't HAVE to be overseas to participate in the round. The only thing changing or 'special' in this round, is the time it's going to occur. Anyone and Everyone is still free to participate!

 Marxus92 here! I wanted to hopefully get an Easter-themed round on here before Easter, but schooling had gotten in the way and I had missed my window. Dang! Alas, no need to fear, as a free-will round will open up on 4/1-6:00pm CDT.

I have also gotten complaints about how long the rounds last. I promise that once I get a good feeling of how long it takes to get a decent amount of requests [but not to many!] I will start to say exactly how long rounds will be open for. As of right now, the best I can do is give you the month/day-hour that a round will START. I am watching the clock as the comments rack up and I am hopeful that by June at the most, I will be able to give time windows for when requests are open.

Please note: We do not have that many artists since the hiatus has been lifted. Only 23 to be exact. Which means that until we get more artists to handle more requests, the time windows are going to be very short. [1 hour-5 hours] New artists are always welcome though! Just note ArtFurFree if interested!

 Marxus92 here! Artists, I have created a wait list for people who have received art. The reason I made this is because I've decided that there will not be clean-up rounds anymore, but everyone should still have a chance to get art, and also think of a different request that might get them art in the next round.

How this will work -- I was hope the artist would actually add and remove people as they gave them art piece. This because some artist don't use ArtFurFree to post what they have made and just upload it to their personal account, then send their requesters a link to it. This would cause a lot of trouble if I had to go through, get the user that received art, get the date they received said art, and then calculate the day they can request art again FOR EACH USER.

A real pain, that is. So, artists of ArtFurFree, help me a out a little and if you give someone art (whether you post their submission on here or not) I ask that you please add them to the wait-list so there is not anyone getting art before someone else has a chance.

It would also be helpful is if you see someone whose waited the 30 days, remove them from the list? This can be the journal that you artist MAY edit, but please only edit this journal.

Also! The rules for being an artist here have updated! Here is the new rule-list. RULES FOR BEING AN ARTIST ON ARTFURFREE

This is where artists will post the person who they just gave art to, the day they received the art, and the day they are allowed to request art again.
