Okay, the list right now is very long. And by that, I mean our artist list. I was poking around and a shocking amount of people are suspended, gone, haven't posted in months, ect.

So, as the new manager, I want to clean up the artist list. I'm going to give this journal 72 hours screen time. What does that mean?

That means every artist who is still active (including those of you that are new) MUST COMMENT BELOW!
If you ARE NOT an artist DO. NOT. COMMENT.
I'm leaving this journal up for 72 hours so every active artist has a chance to look at it.
If you still manage to miss this journal after the limit and you are removed, note me and you'll be re-added.

I'll make a list of who comments and after three days, I will wipe out the artist that do not reply. On March 12, 12:00AM [Central Time], the wipe will take place.

**Also, if you have not watched this group yet and you are an artist, please watch right away so you can stay updated when there is rounds and important journals such as this.**

I just wanted to get a quick run-down of how everyone feels about this group as of right now. I'm  Marxus92, the new 'manager' of ArtFurFree and it has been on a hiatus for quite a while now.

First off, some short introductions. I am rather honored to be chosen to run this group and I'll try my hardest to make sure it is in good hands. I'm pretty nice and easy to work so I hope there will not be many problems with me running the show here. I'm also not exactly an artist for the group but that might actually be for the better because I should focus on running it instead. Now that that's out of the way...

TO ALL ARTIST
I was hoping by this Friday everything could be settled and we could start doing rounds again. Does that work for the majority of you?

EVERYONE
So i can get a good feel for this group and where it stands right now, tell me what you think about it. Should something change? Should nothing change? Tell me everything honestly and I'll to run it not only for the owners, but for the people as well!

 Sephrendemon here. I am finding that on top of my recent switch to full-time commission work, I simply don't have the spare time or energy to devote to keeping this place running. If there are those among the artists of this group that would like to keep the show going, let me know on my main account. (Read below, first.)

It *may* work better just to have artists choose randomly from the list of images who they want to draw, instead of trying to draw all requests -- but it'll be be up to the new organizer and the group how you'd like to carry forward. All we ask is that you keep it in the general spirit that Fenris intended; with art being completely for free; nobody getting charged or being asked to tip. (Tips are always welcome, but they shouldn't be mandatory, of course!)

Thanks for being a part of the group, and I hope people continue to get something out of it moving forward!

Please, send notes titled 'ArtFurFree' to my main account  Sephrendemon if you'd like to discuss the idea; I'll speak with people who are interested and work to chose someone who'd like to manage the page, and has enough free time to keep up with regular updates. We're going to be doing a clean-up round soon, to catch up with any pieces that might have been missed. Once that's finished, we should be able to start fresh with a slightly new system!

This week you can do whatever you want -- you can do something as small as a headshot or as big as a fullbody. Out of fairness please refrain from making the piece too elaborate. Also please finish any other slots before taking new ones.

Unless we have a fair amount of objections from our artists, next week we will finally do Hypno headshots. Not doing them this week because I don't feel well enough to manage the session better.

Since it's a holiday weekend for us American furs, I think a bit of a break is in order. Most of our artists are from the States so this week we'll take a small break. Next week would you guys like to try fullbodies?

So, as the title of the journal implies, we're doing a group trade. Comment below with how many 'slots' you'll take. As always, any artist is welcome to trade. But you must do equal trades (e.g. headshot for headshot, fullbody for fullbody, etc)

Also, please turn in other slots with the group before you take a trade. This is serious.

This week we'll be doing a cleanup round. Next week, if you guys are up for it, we'll do a Hypno round. If not, I think a standard headshot round would be alright considering it's a holiday weekend for our American artists.

The following links will take you to sessions in which a good amount of slots are unclaimed. Please go through and see if any of them interest you. You are not required to do a theme for a piece if you don't want to (even if the slot is part of a themed round). However, the standard group procedure is still in place and you must comment to claim the slot.

Greetings, artists and Watchers! This week we will be doing Fall-themed art. The amount of work done is up to you. As always, please turn in art for any previous slots before taking new ones.

For the artists: First off, the "collages" we do for the weekly posts are SFW only, so if you want a shot at being in the collage, SFW slots are the ones you should look for. These collages are meant to demonstrate the talent and diversity among our group, but it is also a piece that is displayed on the General rating -- meaning it will not contain gore or porn. However, would you guys be interested in doing an NSFW-only session one of these weeks? Perhaps not only sexual, but gore and vulgarity of other types too? Let me know what you think.

Also, how does a Hypno session sound for next week? I think it would benefit our artists that love to draw in that style but don't find many opportunities, and it would serve as good practice for those of you who want to try it. So would you guys be interested in a Hypno headshot round, or no?

This is a message for our artists. If you are listed as an artist with the group, even if you've yet to do art with us, please read.

First of all, I know it's tempting to name the pieces you post with the group. However, please put the name of the recipient in the title (ex: Headshot for Equal) instead of a cute name. You are welcome, and encouraged, to post your AFF pieces on your personal page. But please, for the sake of organization, write the name of the recipient.

Secondly, I went through and Watched all of our artists. If you're on our roster but are not Watching the group, please do so. It is imperative that you, as an artist, be watching in case there is a group emergency or in case you need to alert us of something.

Finally I think I'll be posting a group trade again the last week of October. If you think you can't make it, let me know and I'll see if an accommodation can be made.

But I really think it's always neat to see how my characters are drawn in others' styles, and the folks I trade with usually say the same. And you guys definitely deserve to get what you give, so I think a trade will be nice for you awesome furs :P
