Another little Breedable Delay
Posted 4 years agoI was gonna start on my queue of breedables... buuuuuut, Toyhouse is down, where they are all kept and organized. It would take me AGES to find the files on my computer because I am a disorganized moron so... I'll be starting them once Toyhouse is back up.
Here's to hoping it's soon, but according to a down detector website, it's been down almost 9 hours. And the site does seem almost abandoned at times so... we shall see. xD

Posted 4 years agoI found out just a week ago that grandpa had pancreatic cancer, having gone downhill rapidly. I went to visit him on Friday, he was still able to see me and talk to me and hold a conversation... I showed him some recent art I'd done, caught up with him, gave him a hug. Spent some time at his side.
And then I get a text from a family member that they didn't think he'd make it through the night. My husband rushed me down there as quick as he could, and I was able to see him one last time before he passed away. Held his hand... told him goodbye and that I loved him and I would miss him.
As I was heading back home... it happened. He passed away... I honestly think he was holding on so I could see him one last time. It was... bittersweet. The whole family was there, gathered around him... each of us taking turns holding his hand and saying goodbye. He was surrounded by his family the entire day and night, until he breathed his last. We were all talking, sharing memories... Somber, but special at the same time. Even though I miss him, I am really glad I have that, and the memory of him brightening up as soon as he saw me, even though it'd been 14 years since I had seen him last. I was unable to visit him during the pandemic even though I'd moved back, after being all over the place for years.
I'll likely get back to getting commissions and breedables done after a few days. I just need a little time, I hope you all understand.

If you don't agree with something I drew, don't fucking look at it.
Don't turn around and act like you are "Holier than me" because "You and other people think it's wrong!" even though it's actually completely fictional and isn't hurting anybody. YOU were the one that looked. YOU were the one that decided to get fucking offended. And I am not going to fucking tolerate your holier than thou ass pretending you have a moral high-ground over me because I happened to draw two consenting adults who also happen to be related together in an NSFW situation.
Yeah. I've drawn incest before. Does this mean I condone it in real life? No. Does this mean I'd do it in real life? No. Does this mean I expect you to do it in real life? No. Does this mean I think about you doing it or your characters doing it? No. Does this mean I expect you to draw it for me if you aren't comfortable with it or don't like it? No. Does this mean that drawing my characters automatically associates you with such things? No. Does drawing a character that just happened to appear in a drawing that features it support it? No. I wanted to commission this person, but they decided they didn't want to work with me at all and had to act all arrogant and "Holier than Thou" and "Everybody agrees this is wrong" and like... IT'S. FUCKING. FICTION. IT ISN'T REAL. IT'S CONSENTING ADULTS. I have three rules when it comes to NSFW.
1 - Are they considered of age or adult to their species?
2 - Are they capable of consenting?
3 - Is the situation consensual?
If the answer to these three questions is "yes", then it's all good.
They must both be adults.
They must both be capable of understanding what sex is, and saying yes to it, or indicating that they want it and understand it, and they must both be consenting to it, even if they are engaging in bondage or other kinky stuff.
Contrary to popular belief, fiction is... you know, fiction. Folks enjoy drawing villains. Folks have characters who are villains. Characters that do questionable things. Folks have characters that do all sorts of things that would never fly in real life. Does that mean they condone the actions of those villains? No. Does it mean they'd do what those villains do in real life? No. Does it mean they think the villain's actions are ok? No.
I don't push my views on you, I don't go and show you stuff you aren't comfortable with if you don't want to see it. If you go looking for it and see it, that's on you. Don't push your views on other people. Don't sit there and think you are better than them just because they draw something you don't like or agree with. Stop being so narrow minded. To also further clarify, Inbreeding is only bad in real life because it increases the chances of genetic defects. There's nothing moral about it. People should avoid reproducing with those who are too closely related simply because it won't produce healthy offspring. Nothing more, nothing less.
Somebody I actually liked the art of has lost my support with their fucking holier-than-thou bullshit attitude, and I am seriously irritated. They can fuck right the hell off with that attitude. You can not like incest all you want. I don't care if you don't like it. If you don't like it, I won't show you the art or talk about it. I am allowed to like and draw what I want to like and draw. I am not going to push it on you in any way. You don't have to like it. I don't expect you to. But don't sit there and be all passive aggressive and act like somebody is a bad person just because they like something you don't. That's not ok.
Don't like that I drew adult twins having consensual fun with eachother, or consenting adult half-brothers having a bit of banter while exploring something with eachother (That isn't even canon to their story anyway)? Then don't look. But don't you DARE take on a holier-than-thou attitude with me. That doesn't give you some sort of imagined moral highground. It just makes you look like a jackass. PayPal Error Workaround
Posted 5 years agoSo I notice every time I try to send money to a Russian artist (I am in the US, dunno if this is a problem in other countries as well) in payment for an adoptable, YCH, or commission lately, it gives an error and won't let the money go through.
The workaround is... annoyingly simple. You have to send it as RUB, instead of USD. So if you are having the error, ask the artist if they mind receiving RUB, because I was able to pay for an adoptable I wanted doing that.

-Send the money as Goods and Services, no shipping required.
-Do not use the adoptable to create your own species unless species rights was specifically given. If species rights is given, this is stated and you receive the layered file to create adopts of your own on if you so desire.
-You may resell the adopt for the price of purchase or lower, unless you have done or procured art of the adoptable.
-You may post it up on your account or Toyhouse! Please provide credit! My Toyhouse is ArthaDemon
-Please credit me the first time you draw the character or have them drawn. Future drawings of the character do not require credit, but I love seeing what is done with my designs. Feel free to note me art of the design, though you don't have to.

Why are quadruped furs called Ferals?
Posted 5 years agoNo, really. It doesn't make sense. Feral literally means a domestic animal that returned to the wild, or a wild beast. It can refer to wild instincts as well.

Posted 6 years agoI keep getting this thing where somebody comments on something... Then, just deletes the comment! It shouldn't, but it drives me crazy when I get the notification that says "User has deleted their comment"

Posted 7 years agoIf you refer somebody else to commission me, you will get a 15% discount off of any tier commission! Just have them mention to me that you referred them to me, and you will get that discount. I will let you know when somebody mentions your referral, so that you can get that discount! I will allow two referrals to stack in one commission, up to 30% off, OR an extra character added in for free.
Even if it's something so simple as you saw something I did for somebody, or saw something somebody did for me, if you mention them they get the 15% discount if they are interested in commissioning me.

Even if it's something so simple as you saw something I did for somebody, or saw something somebody did for me, if you mention them they get the 15% discount if they are interested in commissioning me.

Is something wrong with my art?
Posted 7 years agoI really am starting to wonder why nobody seems interested anymore. I used to get so many people wanting commissions during my streams that I couldn't even get to everybody, and I was busy working on commissions for the entire stream, from start to finish. I was able to cover rent, food, and bills from the money I made, with some set aside for other things.
Now... I can stream for hours on end, and barely even get a viewer. I announce it, I have kept a schedule... nothing.
What gives? Why is my art, when people used to like it, so utterly ignored? What's wrong with it? Why is nobody interested anymore? What happened?
I honestly want to know, because dead stream after dead stream is getting so discouraging... it's to the point where I am glad I don't rely on art streams for my income anymore, because if I did I'd be on the streets dead of starvation.

To people who remove characters after they are adopted
Posted 7 years agoPlease don't! I favorite all adoptables I purchase, so I can find them later and credit to the original artist when I draw them or have them drawn. If you remove it, I can't go back and give you proper credit!
I have short term memory loss and I am terribly disorganized! If I can't find the original piece, I will not be able to remember your name, much less credit you if I post the design anywhere!

Posted 7 years agoI might just give up on art. Nobody would miss it, nobody would miss me, and nobody cares. I am sick of being ignored while all the popular artists who treat everybody like shit and copy each other are glorified and treated like their art is actual fucking currency.
I will finish owed commissions, but aside from that, I am done. Entirely done. It’s turned from something fun to something that puts me in a bad mood and is just a stupid waste of time.

Posted 7 years agoAnybody I owe art to, please comment here, or send me a note, with your references and what I owe you. Due to real life slamming me in the balls as hard as it could, a lot of stuff ended up not done, but I am going to be scheduling everything to get it all done as soon as I can! If it is an uncompleted YCH, I will redraw it from scratch either as a whole new commission, or using the same pose. It will be the same level you initially paid for, even if my prices have gone up a bit.
I am horrible at organization, and I lost most of the notes! I am trying to fix this by using a planner to schedule each piece in stages so I can get it all done without overwhealming myself!
For all of you who have not gotten your commission done, I am so, so extremely sorry! Real life just went absolutely nuts on me and everything was just horrible, but stuff is calming down considerably and I feel that I can finally give you what you all paid for. My art has improved a lot, so you will get much better quality than you initially paid for.
Note this is not for adoptables you purchased, though if I haven't given you the file yet, do feel free to let me know. More recent purchases that I haven't sent it over for yet are noted down, I just have to find the files after getting a new computer. I didn't lose my files, but the organization I did is gone.

Posted 7 years agoNobody likes my art anymore. Nobody commissions me. Nobody buys my adoptables, no matter how hard I work on them.
Why should I even bother? What reason do I have to continue if I work my ass off and nobody gives two shits about all my hard work?
All those damn popufurs copy eachother and get loads of money for the exact same style as every other popufur out there, and yet I pour my heart and soul into my art and get next to nothing. Weekend after weekend after weekend of empty, dead stream despite numerous announcements... adoptable after adoptable, but nobody buying a single one. Then people wonder why I just stopped making them for a while and continue to not make them when... HELLO I HAVE OVER 70 OPEN ADOPTABLES THAT NOBODY WANTS!!!
