Today is one of the biggest days in my ENTIRE LIFE. Why, you may ask, well I'll tell ya ^W^

Today I went to the 6th Annual GReater Rochester Teen Book Festival. Its the local kinda minicon where a bunch of authors have panels about their book and cool topics.

It was sooo cool X3 I got to meet these famous authors and hear really cool stuff from them.

The panels I went were hosted by...

James L. Barry- illustrator of some of the Warriors graphic novels. He talk about the books, passed around his portfolio, and did a live drawing demonstration.

A combonation of Heather Brewer (Author of the Vladimir Todd Chronicles) A.S. King (author of the books Dust of 100 dogs and Please Ignore Vera Dietz) and Jackie Morse Kessler (author of the books Hunger and Rage) on Bullying and self image. It was super empowering, they told a bunch personal experiences and how its good to be yourself and not to let other people push you around or to tell who you are.

And, the one I look forward to the most, SVETLANA CHMACOVA!!! She's the author and artist of the graphic novel Dramacon (1-3) and Nightschool (1-4) Which are two of favorite series of all time. She had a slideshow of her work, including some things she for animation in college.

The event ending with and autographing session. After an EXTREMELY long line, I got two autographs and a picture with Svetlana. She signed the copy of Nightschool #4 that I bought and my sketch book. SHe even gave me compliments on my art and name. I nearly died from excitement. I also got and autograph from James L. Barry, who also complimented my art ^w^

Have you ever been reading a really good book and you get to the end and its THE BEST ENDING YOU HAVE EVER READ. But, there is one point, the ending is extremely sad. Not like "aw thats too bad" but like "Oh, My, GOOOOOSSSH, THAT IS SOOOOO SAD." and no matter how you look at it you can't help but love the ending cause its the best possible the book could have ended.

Is there anything that you guys want to know about me?

The reason I ask this is beacuase I was about to do the stalker meme when I realised, there'd be next to no one who'd get any points on it. So, thats why I decided to do this instead.

If I had a contest?

I recently came up with an idea for a game and I had the idea of holding a contest to design some of the characters for it.

The game is based around the vodiac (the leo, virgo, aquarius one, not the chinese one) and the main character is Leo.
The other stars of the zodiac have been captured within crystals and are being used in horrid experiments by an organization who wants to overthrow the gods and rewrite the world with the power of bllod science. Leo must retrieve each crystal and awaken his fellow stars if he is to defeat this threat. But, he won't be alone in this quest. Each constellation, while not strong enough to form their physical personas, can lend Leo items of great power as well the ability to be a called upon in battle.

Now back to the contest, some of the design I'd be looking for is

Aries: a male ram character
Taurus: a bovine character of either gender
Gemini: twins with inverted color schemes of any species
Cancer: anthrocrab/crab themed character
Virgo: a female character of any species
Libra: an older character of any species
Scorpio: anthro scorpion
Sagitarrius: bow and arrow wielding horse or centaur character of any species
Capricorn: a female goat character
Pisces:Mermaid/merman or other fish related anthro

Leo and Aquarius (my own birthsign) I will be designing myself

I won't decide on prizes till I figure out if there is any interest, but it will most likely be along the lines of few single character color pieces.

Well, spring break has started for me =3 I have a whole week away from the retarded people that compose a large number of my classmates. I plan on going *drumroll*...

Yeah, since I have been on a long term long distance relationship with money, I don't have enough to go farther than the library. On the upside, me and my mom are planning on doing some stuff, so that'll be great.

During my break I also plan on working on some art. I have a few trades and personal pieces that I need to scan and color. Also, I'll be get started on my other trades and requests I have piled up. Yep, its going to be one arty week for this tigulf =3

I'm going to have an exhibition in my school in the next few weeks, so I'm printing a number of personal pieces I've done.

Soooo, I was wondering if I happen to have print a piece involving a person's character/fusona/whatever, would it be a good to later mail thme the print. I would of course ask that person's permission first, but I'd like to know if this is advisable.

Yeah, I'm a nerd. And, to fulfill my nerdly duty today I went to an anime/tabletop gaming convention

It wasn't that big of a con, plus I went relatively early on the last day, so there weren't many people there. I got to see some cool art and otaku gear. I ended up buying two prints and a Kingdom Hearts necklace.

I didn't stay for any of the panels they were having, but next year I plan on going for a whole day. I even plan on cosplaying a little. I also plan on saving some money for it, cause ugh, it was pricey.

So, any suggestions to be more prepared when I next go? This was first con, so any ways I can better ready myself for conventions in general would be great.

So I can get some fricking spring.

Why, just yesterday, I was at tennis practice and it was FREEZING!!!, which is fantastic when you're in gym shorts. Even when we were running, which we to do A LOT, I was half frozen. My hands ended up being various shades of pink.

Now, I know cold weather is to be expected in the north, BUT ITS SUPPOSED TO BE SPRING DAMMNIT! I want to be able to see the grass T_T

Yeah, I bought Final Fantasy XII today, along with a new sketch book, and another game.

I'm so excited, especially I now that I have my own PS2.

Okay, so I need advice on how to get noticed.

Now, I knowo n of he easiest opion "You pimp, I draw" but I really don't want to be know just because people can get free art from me. Also, the last time I did that, I ended up with way too many requests for me to handle, which lead to me getting depressed over getting them.

So instead, I was wondering if you guys had any idea on how to get my name out there. Now, I'm not asking you to pimp me out (although, I wouldn't say no if you did... jk ;3) but just some way to get acess to people who will like my style or whatever.

Watch Scott Pilgrims VS the World (Yes, Aren't I on the cutting edge of trends X3) the other day and Loved it =3

The story was a tiny bit fast, but overall I really liked. The fight scenes were intense. Micheal Cera, as usual, was hilarious, and so was the rest of the cast. Also, I love all the little extras in the movie.

Seeing the Movie made me really want to read the books too.

Yeah, I'm journaling to tell you guys about a field trip I went on for art class. We went to see the All High Art Show at Daemon College.

The show was super interesting. There was a nice variety of pieces, in a wide range of media. One piece in particular caught my attention. It had furries in it. I didn't catch the name of the artist, but the piece was extremely well done. It was called Paparazzi if anyone happens to know the artist, feel free to tell me.

The tour of the college wasn't as exciting, but plenty informative. See saw some of the studios and learned about the programs offered. If I wasn't planning on going for a specific degree, I's definitely consider it.

Also, the food, despite the long wait, was great.

All in all, a really cool trip =3
