Fur Eh 2014
Posted 11 years agoMAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU!!!
Now that THAT'S over with, dayumn. People actually PAID me to ART for them! I didn't even know people thought I was good enough to want anything from! I was at Fur-Eh and made some badges for my friends because I can and people actually asked me to art for them for pay. Loved it. I arted so much this weekend. Thus, the flood of submissions to come shortly after this journal!

Commissions interest?
Posted 12 years agoSo, I think I've gotten to a point where I am comfortable taking commissions. Those of you with interest though have to know that I'm better at females than males, I have never drawn porn so I'm not good at it, and I won't do redraws for anything less than glaringly obvious mistakes like body parts on backwards.
I will do pencil work for $5, lineart for $10, and full digital colour with lazy background for $25.
If you are interested, let me know. I take paypal payments only. I guess if you want to get some art from me just private message me and we shall get started. :)

Good times
Posted 12 years agoWent to Fur-Eh, made about $10 for donations to Edmonton based rescue societies, had a good time, and didn't get sick!! At least, I don't think so... Not yet anyway.

No one reads these.
Posted 13 years agoOr maybe its just me. I never read journal entries.
Does that make me a bad person?

Years and years...
Posted 15 years agoSo over the past few days I've had an experience that I haven't had in probably more than a year.
I got to see the sun rise.
I often like to sleep in, and during some days in the past year have done so to the point where I didn't even get to SEE the sun certain days...
Regardless, no one will ever be able to take the magic out of that simple daily occurrence for me.
When all is still dark, it starts with something that is just the promise of light. A kind of haze along the horizon that thickens with every passing minute. Then comes the mild glow that turns the starry sky a lighter shade of navy, bringing with it hints of orange and pink. Suddenly its like a rainbow in the distance, from yellow to orange to blue, and clouds the colour of cotton candy before the celestial orb shines golden above the edge of the world. Every day it brings with it the promise of life, heat, even joy. It causes the birds to sing and the plants to unfurl. The deathly chill of night slinks off into the shadows to await its return when the sun drags the light over the other horizon like a giant snail leaving a quickly evaporating, glimmering trail of liquid.
But there is nothing like that first burst of true light over the distant tree tops... Nothing in the world that expresses that sense of triumph and absolute brilliance, that first brush of other worldly heat against your cheeks. Even in the darkest days of winter it reminds us that with every morning the blessed heat of summer is closer and closer.
I hope I never lose my ability to see the magic in every day things.
