Kadath. However, this doesn't mean it's been bad, with Kad's pet project and my own job situation it definitely has been interesting to say the least.
Firstoff, I recently got a new job with
badDragon a couple weeks ago, and I recently got back to Boise after 2 weeks of training. so I'm here for another 2 weeks before I head out to sunny Arizona for good. For those of you who are aware of my relationship with Kad, I will say that our relationship isn't changing and we're not breaking up *chuckles* far from it in fact. While I move, he's working here and things are going to continue as normal for the both of us, just a little more distance this time and both of us are alright with that. The rest of the info regarding the two of us is remaining private though, as we're not really big fans of everyone knowing my or his private life *chuckles*.
So lots of changes coming around this year, some good, some bad, all we can learn and grow from!
so yeah, keep watching my page for the icon changing from idafur to whatever the one is for Arizona, I still haven't found that group yet, or hell just shout at me, I like talking to peoples.

my thoughts on the fandom as a whole
General | Posted 15 years agoFirstoff, I've been a part of the Furry Fandom for almost 15 years now and have watched it grow and progress despite considerable negative media attention and general trolling across the entirety of the internet. Despite it all however, the fandom thrives and grows larger by the day, with people finding their place in a niche of hundreds of thousands from all across the world. Frankly it concerns me to a point with the influx of the upcoming generations into a fan base for some, a religion for others, and for some, a generalized banner in which common ground is found. My reasoning for this concern is mainly as the kids get younger and younger, the less is being brought to the table, and by thus i mean that it's becoming more and more of a social application, and teenage rebellion tactic than anything else. Over the years I watched our family grow and expand despite everything negative and I've been happy to watch it perform as such, to thrive and grow underneath the heels of closed-mindedness and religious bigotry, but as of lately, I've been noticing that most are using it for an escape, and I say most as a generalized term as I am not one to use blanket statements for the primary reason that I don't like to generalize and sum up a populous when all parties involved may not share the same conclusions or beliefs.
In my opinion, that's what makes the fandom home for thousands upon thousands of people. From the socially awkward and inept, to the scientist with 3 PHD's in various fields, we share a common ground, while albeit not along the normal lines that traditional media and the onlookers on the other side of glass may agree with. Then again, show me a sect of culture anywhere in this world that is wholly agreed and and given the general "thumbs-up" from an entire party? They don't exist, Everyone has a problem with something and for a lot of people who truly only see the sexual aspects and the negative connotations portrayed by the media as "dirty, fetishist, creepy, pedophiles, etc." the list goes on with the words that have been thrown at the fandom whether the research has been properly done and portrayed efficiently. Let's face it, bad news sells, and with a group such as furries, it's all to easy of a target to pick on and point out. "Oh look, there's Jan and Margaret, that lesbian couple who dress up in costumes and go around town" what you don't hear, is that Jan and Margaret, while yes they dress up in fursuits, attend functions, parades, children hospitals, and other various public eye and civil duties to try and prove a point. Furries aren't bad, and to be honest, ifI was a 8 year old lying in a hospital bed with a body riddled with cancer or disease, to see someone take time out of their day to dress up and come see me would probably make me the happiest kid in the world.
Ladies and gentlemen this is what you DON'T hear in the news, all the good we do as a community and as a people. I'm not saying all of us are like that, as every batch of apples has bad ones in it.. What I am asking though, is if you stumble across my blog among the many thoughts and reviews I'll be posting, is that you keep in mind that on the other side of the screen, I'm a normal guy like yourself, rather than see what you hear, read and see for yourself and make your own decisions as to your opinion of me and my friends. In the end that's my ultimate goal, To break the chains that this country has wrapped about your minds and clouded your judgments by telling you when to eat and sleep, what to wear and what to watch. Think for yourselves, we've all been given a brain and I hope to pick at yours enough to get you to use it.

We had a major leak in security and that has been exploited over the servers and into the interwebs itself, people are jumping ship left and right, and the flame wars I'm reading are just growing larger and larger. What are we, children? I mean honestly, I'm reading about people screaming for justice for :Zaushicon , :Dragoneericon and the rest of the administrative staff about their behavior and supposed cover-ups. What I want to know, is where you get off thinking that you have the right to judge these people based off notes alone? you're only getting that part, nothing that has been in chat history, personal IM clients or anything like that, personally those of you who have passed judgment and have started your own crusades I'm embarrassed to be seen with any one of you.
I honestly can't believe how quick this FAMILY (and I stress that because that's what we are) has turned on itself and went for the throat in this matter, it saddens me to no end. Personally, whether or not events transpired the way they did from what I"m hearing, or if there's more to it, I'm willing to bank on the fact that we don't have all the information. Even if I had every scrap of evidence in my hands, from all sides and parties, it still wouldn't be my place to judge in the way that HALF of you are.
Do you really think, that knowing about the holes in the system, that anything criminal, or incriminating would be discussed over a system where admins have control? Even :iconDragoneer isn't that stupid. So before any of you go jumping in and heading for the kill, better make sure you have all the info and your facts straight before you make an ass out of all of us.
Seriously, I'm not upset that the system was hacked, yeah it sucks but we persevere and move on, what I am upset with though is the actions of damn near half of this site. This is bollocks and you all know it, none of you are judges, executioners or a jury, so step the fuck back and put your dicks away. it's the FUCKING internet, who the fuck cares? True or not Karma is a bitch and always repays sin for sin and kindness for kindness, and it IS NOT your fucking place to say otherwise, or be an instrument of such. There's a HUGE difference between raging, and being intelligent, I know I don't have all the facts, therefore I'm not about to jump to conclusions and make assumptions based on the information at hand. Even if I did, it's not my place to judge, if things were really this criminal and underhanded do you honestly think that the government wouldn't be stepping in?
Come on people think about this, get off your high-horses and come back down to earth. Deflate those rage bags and put your head on straight again. Seriously this is fucking dumb, ad it embarrasses me to no end. This leak is only proving just how unstable and psychotic furries can be, and the reputation we've been given from the media, you're playing right into their hands with this, so just knock it off.

Still not sure if I've got what it takes but at least it'll be a hell of a challenge and some awesome fun to put together! I'll keep you guys updated when the decisions get made and hopefully, yours truly will be spinning for AC 2011 if all goes well!

Halloween DJ event Aftermath
General | Posted 15 years agowell this Saturday was fun, had the Halloween dance for Fandemonium. I'll tell you this, having two dj's that the crowd does not approve of go before doesnt help things, and the fact that the same two dj's blew out half of the system, leaving me with minimal working speakers and horrible static doesn't really go well with what I do. That being said, almost lost half of the attendees because of the previous performances and yet, even with busted speakers I was able to pull a miracle outta my tail and pull em back, worked my deck in a whole new way to crank out as much power and volume as i could without killing anything and played probably the best set I've ever done. It felt like Conifur 2005 all over again lol. So, because of that, not only am I being hired to do the gig for AnimeOasis on black Friday, BUT! got hired for another gig to do in fursuit for a Christmas party! HELLZ YEAH!!

General | Posted 15 years agoWOOT!! just got a confirmation email form the chair of fandamonium herself asking me to dj for the Halloween bash they're throwing on October 23rd!!! what makes it significant for me is not only did they ask me back, and this is the chair asking me back, but they also asked me what time slot I wanted rather than just assigning one to me. Apparently I've made a splash here in Boise and the surrounding areas and my rep is building!!!!
And since I'll have my new fursuit by that time, I will be spinning in SUIT!!!
