This unexpected hiatus went on *way* too long. And the brutal truth is I'm not back into the swing of it all as I've intended to be multiple times and not overcome inertia.

What I will be doing definitively is releasing all the previews that are well overdue over the next few days. That's not too many files for the downtime but it means I can catch up to a relatively cleaner slate without worrying about that aspect of baggage.

When this surge is done I'll be back to 'just two' exclusive works for now, which if my momentum resumes will of course grow again.

Hope the many fans and followers I've still gained despite my silence enjoy.

Plans and I never get on but to give a run down of my overall intentions:
- Post the excessively long previews.
- Make sure all subscriber rewards are being worked on.
- Return to any commission related things that had been discussed and not yet fully locked in.
- Catch up with my own commissioned art uploads.
- Allow my whimsy to create things instead of just fantasising on the ideas.

Hey all sorry things have been so dreadfully awfully quiet on my page.

The short version is I have been in a bout of pure inertia, trying to get myself moving again is in itself unappealing. Many reasons, some good, some not, one of the more obvious ones isn't even in my country ehehe.

I'm admitting the problem, that I'm not really even spurring myself out of it, and cannot promise that I will get back on that horse *too* soon, yet I still hope to get back to things, at the very least I need to catch up with my wonderful supporter's owed things.

I'll also try to get more uploads done soon. Just in one of those cases of everything takes time that I feel I don't have so I don't even start chipping at it, oops.

At any rate! I am healthy and well both physically and mentally at this time, so don't worry on those accounts!

Had been meaning to post a few journals for non-specific updates but always balked because I never fully knew what my immediate future held.

Now I'm glad I did because this ones a bit more urgently important:

The very abridged TL;DR is that horrible catch-22 of needing to afford car repairs to get to work, and not being able to work without car repairs. The longer version is more tragic but not my tale to tell.

Thanks for reading, any attention this gets at all is infinitely better than nothing. I'll try to get other more personal information out sometime soon :tm: as well as sharing opinions, but for now this journal isn't about me.

Keeping it short as I can;

Apologies for the lack of anything for a while. Holidays started and then landed me with the nastiest sickness I've had for a while. I think it was Dec 28th when I first felt a light roughness falling on me.

I've wiggled free of most symptoms, down to just a stubborn cough, petulant appetite and some other gross sinus related things that I won't go into too much detail over. Needless to say, lacking the energy to even check my phone on some days meant I have not done anything productive, so anyone who has been patiently hoping and waiting, I'm sorry to say I've stalled out hard.

With the ick being slowly shoved away I hope to be getting back to things soon. Still got a queue I haven't shifted for planned activity. Including a couple of things I might need to apologise for if I can't reacquire the fervor I need to finish them.

I am also officially declaring as part of my new years resolution; to actually start my dream of a serious novel series to leave my mark on the world outside of the furry story sphere. Whether or not it performs isn't important, but this is a story and characters I've had in my head and worked on mentally whenever I've been alone since school. Time to actually commit ideas to paper or digital, shape them into something solid and (by poking some friends) see if I can refine it into a story worthy of the time it'll take.

During one of my kinktobers a comment let me know there was a desire to know how my stories end to avoid reading unpleasant subjects.

To that end, with my uploads from today and onward, I'll try to always include a tag that will give a summary of the story's end.

At the moment, four endings have sprung to mind thanks to some feedback from my supporters, but if you had any that fit the theme I'm happy to take ideas and incorporate those I feel work nicely.

Details on the ending tags:

Ending: Good (Willing)
Ending: Good (Rescue)

These two will show up whenever the story has a non-cliffhanger happy for the subject ending. With one being a case of someone coming to assist for those who might still be put off by the perilous and unwilling content in the story. With the latter being very much, all parties fully into it and invested with any 'oh no' just being playful or inconvenienced rather than in trouble.

Ending: Neutral

This will show up in works where there are cliffhangers, implied indefinite changes, or ambiguous but not necessarily grim or dangerous perils. Some examples that would qualify for 'Neutral': A character being stuck in a suit, but still retaining agency and ability to move. Self-bondage gone awry where their roommate will find them and help them after the story ends.

Ending: Bad

This will be the majority of what I write, judging by my history. These won't necessarily be grim, in fact they could still be lighter stories, but expect these tales to generally have an unwilling party, an ambiguous or definitely bad ending. Game overs, caught in a trap, imprisoned, held captive etc. Even if only temporary, the key difference is that rescue is uncertain or their captors hold them against their will.


I'll do my best to be consistent with these tags and will always lean on the 'more severe' tag if there's any doubt in my mind. A thought comes to mind that I might also start colour coding thumbnails, but I feel like I'd want to do a total overhaul again to do that.

On the back of Kinktober I intended to take a week off knowing I'd be travelling abroad for another one, and then I felt a few pressures from non-writing things wanting my time. With the last weekend gone I'm going to be plunging back into the swing of writing.

And to start that off I'll give a triple-bill of belated uploads to help shorten the gap caused by this impromptu hiatus.

An even bigger apology to those who have been supporting me for more than just to help me with money. As all the works I've pushed out since October were already public.

Still, time to work on rewards and exclusives as a priority. Then outstanding commissions. And then a few accompanying pieces for artwork I need to share.



As for Kinktober, it was a rousing success to get it done. I technically succeeded on every day though I forgor to upload one on time, even though it was written and ready, oops. That said, the time it takes me to do it and to recover from my own view, leaves me guilty over the lack of 'subscriber content' that happens as a result.

I'd love to hear my watcher's takes on that though! Am I overthinking it? Was having 31 short but fun stories more than worth the long wait before the next piece?

I'm probably due to give a bigger better update on the goings on. I'll just throw out some reminders however:

The end of my current pledged queue of commissions is nearly at an end. Though I'm thinking of slipping in a break period to pad out some writing with other ideas that come to my inspiration.

In the event that X_Twixxtterx_X goes tits up, or any other site I've put myself into, I'll keep trying to find an alternative to hop to.

My seeming allergy to doing the same things or keeping things consistent has got me contemplating if I might do a round of themed comms, 'YCH' style things or figure out further incentives to push the things that my inspiration will want to gobble up while still keeping things open to everyone.

So, with the rules and new clarifications and all that fun fun stuff. It is very much looking like I'd have to take down all NSFW art and works involving Eshri, all pieces guest starring characters like Radasus, and almost all the digimon fanarts I've had made for me. Quite possibly also limiting what I upload from my writings here on FA?

The trouble I struggle with is figuring out what of my stuff is and is not 'NSFW' by the rules, something I've always struggled with. Eshri is an adult in all the works ever made with my knowledge and permission, in a lot of them she's consenting or fully aware she's in a fix because of her own actions. At which point does being captured and tied up turn from a predicament to OH MAH LAWD that's OBSCENE? I've never been sure there. Of course there are a few that are far more suggestive, but again, where is the line drawn?

Now before people say I'm misreading it or going into panic. Radasus, my closest friend on this website, has been told in no uncertain, no grey borderline terms, that his sona, a corgi-kobold is not acceptable under FA's policy despite them saying shortstacks and similar are good. If Radasus isn't allowed then Eshri definitely isn't. And the mods themselves have explicitly named Gatomon if drawn to canon model as rule breaking, which accounts for most of my fanart I've got.

I'm currently away in the US for a few more weeks. So I won't be at full productivity anyway, but if they haven't rolled back by the time I'm home I might submit images for approval or just start making plans to eventually ditch the site. I've already put some work into setting up on SoFurry, though that will also wait for me to be home to start getting new submissions in. And I'm already on twitter though with little activity to speak of.

In summary. If the friends I know, follow, have watched and have worked with are forced off this site, I'm not gonna stay interested and will move elsewhere providing I don't just up and quit.


One further thing;

Given that they state the rule about 'child-like proportions' happened a long time ago, that means for years we've all lived in the confidence that what we were doing is okay, only to basically be told that all those creations we've made are in violation of the rules and always have been. But that it's been so little of a perceived problem that no one has reported any of those works.

Commission forms are open! If there was a concept you wanted explored, now is the time to swoop in and get something! Forms will remain open for either a few days or until enough appealing ideas come in! Whichever happens first!
