Lotsa work o.o
General | Posted 15 years agoToday will be day 7 in a row at the little store, and what do you know, it'll be a 10 hour shift. Hooray. This is after working 6 in a row the week prior. It's mainly due to two employees quitting and a couple of them going back to college. making them only available on weekends. At least this puts me toward a larger paycheck so my hard work at least will be rewarded as such. I feel quite accomplished for making it through this busy schedule with minimal difficulties.
I think when I get my pay, I'm going to treat myself to something good. Since I've moved out, I haven't really had the extra money to buy any new things other than necessities (food, gas, rent, utilities, etc) so I think this would be a good opportunity for it.
I hope everybody out there is staying warm--it's starting to get cold as heck here o.o;

I'm back!
General | Posted 15 years agoYep! I got hooked up with internet a little earlier! Now to nuke over 200 submissions D:
Moved out!
General | Posted 15 years agoSo, for those of you that don't know, I've moved into a nice little duplex with a friend of mine. I apologize for my disappearance as I've had no internet for a few days. I'm currently connected by tethering a friend's phone to my PC. The technician will be coming out on Monday to get us hooked up with our internet service--I can't wait; I'm having major internet withdrawal already!! xD
All of the big things are moved in, all that's really left to do is get some good food other than ramen and Diet 7-up, and maybe some more pieces of furniture for the living room *shrugs*
So yeah! Big steps are being taken in my life right now--and so far, they are smoothing out!
Hope you all are having a great weekend!

C64 trackers
General | Posted 15 years agoI've been devoting a lot of late nights into learning how to use a Commodore 64 tracker called Future Composer. I've used trackers before, but the earlier ones are quite difficult and touchy. I have figured out the really basic stuff on FC such as laying down notes, setting their durations and instruments, and changing the instrument parameters. What I still need to figure out is how the track editor works (for actually laying down the patterns. It relies heavily on hexadecimal so it's a bit complex). I've been on a really nostalgic kick lately (mainly towards 80s computers) and I'm happy to at least semi-know what I'm doing on this little editor. Is anyone else has had vintage tracking/chiptune experience, I'd love to get some advice!
e621 gone?
General | Posted 15 years agoOh well. There are plenty of other sites out there to get your pr0ns. *sigh*

I just broke it to my mom..
General | Posted 15 years agoYep, I finally summoned up the courage to reveal my furriness to my mom--and she understands my presence in the fandom completely.
In short, she said that it's an outlet for my creativity and intelligence--which really made me understand myself why I am a furry. I couldn't agree more with what she has said and I feel really relieved that it went so well.
So to all of those out there who want to come out of the furry closet; give it some thought and summon up the courage yourself. Your parents love you more than anything in the world and I'm sure they'll understand and/or be fine with how you choose to express yourself, online or off.

New hardware on the way
General | Posted 15 years agoWell I have finally decided to no longer limit myself to software production as I have ordered a new piece of equipment that will be very useful for my trance productions. I'm not going to give out any details right now--I want to wait until I have this piece of hardware in my possession before I reveal it.
Those that do know what I'm getting, shush! It should be here in about a week, so it won't be a mystery for too long xD

My birthday!! 20 already?!?! O_o
General | Posted 16 years agoWell today's mah birthday. I'm officially no longer a teen seeing as how the big two-zero has finally crept upon me. I just want to thank everyone who has watched me and enjoyed my music--I really appreciate the support and stuff. Sooo yeah! I'm workin' on my birthday, but it's all good. I don't really have much planned anyway xD
Hope everyone has a great day today, and to those also celebrating their birthday today, I'd like to wish you a very happy birthday ^^

Work is going great!
General | Posted 16 years agoHello everyone! Update time!
After a bit over a week, I'm proud to say that everything at my job is going great! I don't dread getting up in the morning and I come home with a smile on my face. I also got my first check yesterday. It wasn't much, but then again, I haven't clocked in that many hours yet, but hey, I'm not going to be disappointed that I got money. I might get a couple of commissions done, though I do have one on the way!
I'm off for a few days so I'll just be hanging around here. I might start a new track or something--we'll see what comes along!

It's off to work I go!
General | Posted 16 years agoHey everyone! Just thought I'd give a little update to my job interview journal. Well, I start work in.. uhh.. 1 hour! I'm not too nervous, I'll just need to get the hang of stuff around there--but after a while, I think I'll be as good as any of the other employees. So yeah! I'm gonna have a job and money of my own here soon! Woo hoo! :D
Job Interview
General | Posted 16 years agoIn case you don't already know, my call-center experience wasn't too good. Plus everyone got laid off last month anyway. So I submitted an application to a little local grocery mart about 5 miles from me. They called me for an interview last week, and now it is 2 hours from now. I'm not really too nervous about this since I won't have to deal with ANGRY people on the phone.. Plus this small market is in a town where everyone knows each other, and in the town I went to school at, grew up, etc. I feel that it will be a great position where everything will be laid back and friendly. I should have went for this position in the first place. So yeah! I'm pretty excited about this and have much more confidence in my abilities toward this position ^^
Fursona name origin/meaning meme thingy.
General | Posted 16 years agoSoooo. I got this little idea to start a journal meme that is actually pretty interesting. The question here is simple: How did you come up with your fursona name and what is the meaning behind it?
Well. I decided on the name Asher quite a long time ago. Believe it or not, it was inspired by the book "The Giver." I was quite fond of that name and when I looked up the meaning of it, I found that it is a Hebrew word for "happy" which is totally what I am. I'm usually a guy who doesn't let stuff bother me and I try my best to keep a happy and carefree disposition. I feel that it really fits my personality, which in the end, is what my fursona has as well.

The Q&A Journal.
General | Posted 16 years agoWell, since I have literally nothing to do, I figured I'd make a little journal so that people may ask anything they like, music-related or not. Also feel free to ask anytime, even if this journal is years old ^^
A wonderful Christmas experience
General | Posted 16 years agoI'd say that this was probably the best Christmas for me this year--not because of the gifts I received, but because of the wonderful experience. Mom really did a wonderful job preparing such amazing food; shrimp with cocktail sauce, meat & cheese, prime rib, swedish meatballs, among other awesome edibles! It was also great because I could afford gifts for my parents and brother. I got my mom a pink snuggie, which she absolutely loves. I got my dad a really nice sleeping bag since he loves to go camping. And I got my brother Left 4 Dead 2 for his Xbox 360. To me, it's a much better and rewarding feeling to give rather than receive. But hey, I am happy with my gifts too. My big present was a TomTom GPS. It will really help me out when I road-trip and find cool places to go to.
I hope everybody else had a great Christmas experience with their family and/or friends!

Last week of training! o.o;;;
General | Posted 16 years agoThis morning, I start my last week of training to be an AT&T Receivables Management rep before I hit the phones--man, I'm sooooo nervous! xD Though everything I've learned makes sense.. I think I'll do fine. My instructors all say that everyone's first calls suck, so I guess I have a little breathing room there. I just don't want to let the people on the other side of the phone down, ya know?
Job Training
General | Posted 16 years agoI am now in traning for AT&T Customer Service, I started on Monday. I am training to be in the RM department. The traning will last for 4 weeks. All the content they're throwing at me is a bit overwhelming, but today has been better--I'm just happy to have some money coming in and not screwing anything up xD
I am just writing this journal to say that I will not be as active as I normally am, but my hours for training are from 9am to 5:30 pm PST Monday through Friday, so at least I have evenings and weekends =3

Job Starts Soon
General | Posted 16 years agoWell, I'm about to start employment at my first 'real' job. I'm going to have the position of, as they call it, Customer Service Representative, but I call it "Call me up and bitch at me about your phone getting shut off." xD
Though, I'm a pretty patient guy and a decent problem solver so I think I will do just fine. The starting wage is pretty nice at $9.25/hour. They were pretty impressed with my interview, as nervous as I was. So yeah, I'm gonna have some income coming in, yaaaay!

Back from Canada
General | Posted 16 years agoSo I just got back from Canada a few hours ago. I had a blast. We went to the Calgary Zoo, West Edmonton Mall, and many other places. It was definitely worth the long drive both ways. I'm glad that I got country number five under my belt. It's always been my lifelong dream to visit other countries, so I feel like I've really accomplished a big goal that's always lingered around. Anyways, I'm sleepy so I'd better wrap this up and thank everyone for the support while I was gone;
THANKS EVERYONE! :D

More travelling, woo hoo :D
General | Posted 16 years agoSooo, I'm going off to Canada on Friday with a friend of mine on Friday. We're going up near Edmonton, AB to visit my friend's girlfriend. I've always wanted to go to Canada (ever since 3rd grade) so I'm pretty excited about this. We're going to stay up there until probably Thursday of next week. 14 hour drive will be fun, but long. But hey, I survived 10 hours on the plane three weeks ago.
Back from my trip and YAAY 1000 pageviews!!
General | Posted 16 years agoWell I'm back from the 18 hours of flying, waiting at airports, and more flying, and wow, I am soooo jetlagged >_>
Germany was so awesome, btw! :D
But I am so happy to see that my FA page hit the 1000 views mark. It's making my dream of my music being spread around become more and more of a reality! Thanks everyone for the support!

It's off to Germany I go!
General | Posted 16 years agoMom and I heading out the door in 3 hours (3:23 am right now). I'm really excited to see my German family and visiting such a wonderful country. I'm taking a Horizon Air flight from Pasco, WA to Seattle and then taking Lufthansa from Seattle to Frankfurt am Main. I've never been out of the country so this is going to be the trip of a lifetime to me considering how much I love travel. I'll be home on August 4th. Hope everyone's having an awesome summer!
