My birthday is coming up!

I just wanted to let y'all know I may be a bit quiet, my birthday is on the 18th and I wanna celebrate. It’s been a rough year so far but I’m still here and my husband and I are going out to have a good time.
I’ll still be working on commissions and such so keep those inboxes open, and I’ll see y'all around after the 18th.
Despite god's best efforts I’m going to have a great time!

Where Have I been?

I know I haven't said anything in a while, and I apologize for that. I should be able to exist more frequently soon, so I wanted to update you.
First off, I'm sorry for not updating until now. My mom had a stroke in August, and I had to quit my job and move cross country to care for her. I picked up a job here that I thought could sustain me and my husband, and while we tried to pick up the pieces of everything that happened (the above is the tip of the iceberg), unfortunately, that job was... a lie. I was doing unpaid 12-hour days, threatened and criticized by a toxic boss, and several things of mine were stolen. These things included but were not limited to several of the items I needed to make art that I was working on during my lunch break.
I finally was able to quit that job a week ago, and have spent time since then recovering. Once my new job starts, I'll be able to start rebuilding what was stolen, and I hope I'll have enough energy to return to working on commissions soon, but I please ask for your patience. I was already disabled, and unfortunately, the stress of the past few months has further disabled me. I'm angry and bitter about it; I won't lie to you. Still, I'm going to try to get back on my feet. I'll start messaging individually soon. I just wanted to get the message out now that the brain fog has cleared somewhat. I'll have internet again soon, projected to be in March (finally).
Again, sorry for the silence. Hopefully, I'm back now.

I can’t wait to finally debut Cheese Doodle's suit and get started in streaming, but I wanted to tell you something exciting first: I'm making physical badges! I’ll be offering them for pickup at FWA for $40 each, and if you want a 3” die-cut sticker of your badge too then it'll be $50!
I can also ship physical badges and stickers after FWA, shipping calculated at time of purchase.
Looking forward to drawing all the cute characters!

Artfight
General | Posted 3 years ago A few folks have been wondering why every year my commissions close mid-June, and typically don't reopen until mid-August. The answer is actually two-fold: my online shop is opening in August and I need to focus on that, and my favorite competition, Artfight.
Artfight is an art competition that sorts players into two teams. These teams draw the other team’s characters for points. Whichever team has the most points at the end wins. It’s a pretty simple game.
But why close down commissions during this time?
I use it as a time to practice new techniques, meet new people, and take a break from making art for profits' sake. It’s my chance to remember the joy art brings me, and it’s very important to me.
This Artfight I want to end the month with fifty new pieces and at least three new process videos, and this year what I’d like to improve the most is my contrast, as I believe it is lacking.
If you want to check out Artfight, this is my profile. I'll be focused on getting revenge first, so if you want art from me next month, you're probably going to need to fight me first.

New Year Announcements + Big Life Changes

I have several announcements. As you may have noticed, I haven't been very active lately. Don't worry; it's not bad news. I'm still alive, still never had COVID, and I'm feeling pretty well overall.
First of all, I'm married now as of January 8th. The ceremony was beautiful and I'm grateful to everyone who braved the freak blizzard to join us on the mountain. Seriously, I'm glad no one died.
Second of all, my commissions are open again now that I have free time. I will be uploading a new commission sheet in the coming days, but in the meantime, you can still DM me to claim a slot. There will be new prices as well. Until further notice, the full-body sketchy-style paintings will be $25, while a fully rendered full body will be $45.
There are five slots per month as per usual, and in between slots I will be working on some secret projects of my own.
I look forward to drawing many of your characters this year.

You may have also noticed that I've started offering Chibi paintings as well as full bodies. These will be available from now on, with Chibis with limited backgrounds being $20, and chibis with a full painted background being $25. These can of course be ordered through the notes like any other.
