Been up since 5AM on the 31st, two bottles of coffee concentrate straight up, four handfuls of (coffee) beans (so about 75 cups) and 15 minutes of sleep in between. Worked both days on one of the busiest days of the year, and 5 hours of driving (2 1/2 up then back), great party with old friends not seen in ages. Wound up as a designated driver for a few -drunken directions given on slick streets and despite not touching alcohol I would not recommend this driving challenge to anyone- ending jammed up in a pretzel on a tiny couch for three hours so my wife could cuddle -cuddling is never fun for the bigger spoon- , then she insists that I ‘cook’ supper.
... I can’t remember if I wanted to brag or complain.
This is so hacked up with inserted edits it probably doesn’t make any damn sense and has no real chronological order anymore. My awareness and short term memory is shot and erratic. It’s annoying as hell but strangely kind of fun after awhile but once a year is too much. Now I want to stay up to get my sleep-wake schedule back on track.

I’m not sure New Years is such a good holiday for one’s mental health or safety.

Okay, so I forgot to make coffee last night and having no time to do so this morning I
Did a quick internet search and I see there are 210-216 beans in a cup of coffee.
So, a grab an approximation of that many beans throw it in a container and leave.
Now I’ve had buzz beans, and snacked on a bean or two but, it seems I was too premature in my internet search.
Brewing doesn’t extract the full potential of the bean. It may take that many for a cup of brewed coffee, but straight beans? Yeah, you only need about 12. So I actually had the equivalent of about 18 cups.
Yeah, that would explain why I was dissatisfied with the physical limitations of my body, the need to suppress maniacal laughter, I could not discern a heartbeat, and got impatient with the microwave.
