Hello to anyone who reads this! It's been a few years since I've posted anything here and I felt like it was time for an update with some positivity at the end.

So I really stopped making posts about 10 years ago. Let's go over where I've been since then!

I had moved to Carrollton GA back in 2016 and changed colleges to UWG. Then known by Trith and I only stayed there a year since they had finished their degrees and I ran out of funds for school and had to drop out in my Senior year. So no degree for me...

We moved in with my parents and grandmother in New Jersey and spent the next 7 years going through different challenges; finding work, thinking about the future, trying to start a LARP group but failing, trying to learn to code and make games but failing, trying to save my Dad from a heart attack but failing... trying to keep my grandmother's spirits up after that but losing her to brain cancer... -.=.- It was a lot for a little kobold like me to handle.

After all of this I decided to seek justice and pursued correcting a wrong that was committed against me in my professional life. I'm still pursuing that today, so I can't talk about it yet.

Then my Mom decided to sell the house I grew up in and we were all living in at the time. There was no choice left for me, I had to move. So Trith, now Taffit the Tanuki (much more fitting and it makes them happy ^.=.^), and I packed up what little we had to our names and moved to Washington State to bunk with friends we made through Twitch.

Now almost 1 year since our move here, we are gearing up to move again to the opposite side of town. Things happen and it stinks, but our landlord is selling the house we're renting so we have to pack it up.

All the while since my family's tragedies I've been trying to find my place in the world. I think I might have finally found it in creating board games.

Currently I am playtesting a game I've called "Fang & Fury" and in August I'll be going to my first non-furry convention since 2006! I'll be at PAX West to get more playtesting done on my game and promote it! I'll be making another journal post about this specifically.

So now you know what's been up! I'll try my best to stay a little more active here and reconnect with the fandom, especially now that I've discovered I'm an otherkin kobold. I might lack artistic talents but I create in other ways!

I wanted to post this here to offer some people a bit of a chance, as well as possibly some awesome practice.

I am the owner and creator of G.R.I.D. Live Action Role Playing. I'm currently in the process of creating my rule book, and at the moment it's very wordy with nothing extra to look at. If I had players already, I would be using photographs, but I think drawn pictures will do even more justice!

What I'm looking for are people who'd like to draw a couple different things. You don't need to do all. Even just one would be wonderful! If I like what I see, I can include your art in the rule book as well as list you in the credits. If farther down the line the game takes off, it's also even possible to pay you for the work you do! Either way, this can be some excellent exposure.

Here's what I'm looking for:
1) General large scene with multiple people of different races and classes. Fighting a plus, but posing for a picture look is great too. This will go on the cover, so it's the most visable one!
2) A small symbol to represent each of the 15 classes, which will be listed below.
3) An illustration representing a person, each of the 15 classes, bonus if it can end up with 2, 1 for each specialization.
4) Fantasy oriented things in general. Swords, magic, alchemy, things like that.

I'm sorry for the huge post, but the information is necessary to get appropriate pictures for what I'm looking for. If anyone needs more information I'll be glad to offer it! Hopefully some of you will love the practice and give it a shot! :D

Classes:
- Bard: Singer, poet, trickster, talented with a bow and their magical songs to aid their allies. Leather armor.
- Druid: Shapeshifters and healers through nature. Bears and Cats are their shifted forms. Leather armor.
- Mage: Your standard Tolkien Wizard, complete with Fire, Ice, and the Arcane. Cloth armor
- Monk: Hand-to-Hand combat, heavily inspired by Shaolin monks. Leather armor.
- Necromancer: Creators of armies of the undead, as well as healers who utilize the power of the ground itself. Cloth armor
- Paladin: Stout protectors of the Divine. Heavy armor.
- Priest: Leaders of religions and voices of the gods, through the Light and Shadow. Cloth Armor.
- Ranger: Skilled hunters and masters of ranged weaponry. Animal companions often accompany them. Chain armor.
- Rogue: Stealth and infiltration, masters of poison and subtlety. Leather armor.
- Scholar: Heavily inspired by Final Fantasy 14's Scholar with a twist. Capable of combining pure elements to create a wide array of spells on the fly. Basic clothing only.
- Sentinel: Military leaders and master strategists. One-handed weaponry and a shield are most common. Heavy armor.
- Shaman: Heavily inspired by Warcraft's Shaman, uses totems and the elements to overpower foes and heal allies. Chain armor.
- Spellblade: A sword/axe wielder who supplements their fighting skills with powerful elemental magics. Capable of creating weapons from just magic power alone. Chain armor.
- Warlock: Conjurer of demons and a master of shadow, fire, and fear. Cloth armor.
- Warrior: If there's a weapon, they can use it to fight or defend. Heavy armor.

Races:
Aquarian
Aquarians are a people of the sea. After centuries under water, they evolved lungs and took to the tops of the waves on grand vessels. Always staunch defenders of the sea, Aquarians mostly follow a code their own and strike down all who go against it. Some though strike against anyone who sails the seas, looting and sinking any ship not their own. Aquarians have webbed ears and non functional gills on their cheeks. Their skin tone is a shade of blue.

Racial Costume: All Aquarians must have webbed ears, skin a shade of blue, and painted gills on the cheeks.

Dwarf
Dwarves are stout and proud denizens of the mountains. They live in a caste system, where one’s beard length determines their place in society. The miners of the realm, Dwarves often live lives of privledge and wealth when they aren’t digging into the ground for riches. Most of this wealth is gained through the use of their forges and Master Blacksmiths. Nothing beats a day of digging and a night of drinking for a Dwarf, though.

Racial Costume: All Dwarves must have a beard, including females.

Elf, Moon
Moon Elves built their society around the worship of the moon and the hunt. Most live in the forests of the world and value traditional practices. Respect for nature is at the center of their values, and many a poacher has found himself at the wrong end of an arrow. Moon Elves are a peaceful race overall however, and quite a few travel the world spreading good will to all.

Racial Costume: All Moon elves must have pointed ears and facial tattoos of blue, purple, or black.

Elf, Sun
Millenia ago, the elves waged a civil war over the worship of celestial bodies. One group worshiped the sun while the other worshiped the moon. The side that lost were banished from the forests and became known as the Sun Elves. They now live opulent lives blessed with magical amenities. The Sun Elves place a great value on knowledge and the arcane arts, but are no stranger to martial combat either.

Racial Costume: All Sun Elves must have pointed ears and facial tattoos of red, yellow, or silver.

Goblin
Nothing rings more true to a Goblin that the phrase “Time is Money”. Always looking to turn a profit no matter the moral repercussions, Goblins have been known to create some of the most fantastic inventions across the world, their most widely used and thus most famous being the B.A.N.K. (Best Auctioneer N’ Keeper). Always tackling a problem with an outside the box approach, these mizers are sure to keep you guessing as to what’s going to happen next.

Racial Costume: All Goblins must have green skin with dark green spots and a pointed nose. Pointed ears are optional.

Human
The most prominent race on Tethra, Humans are found in all walks of life. Wanting to see it all and learn everything there is to know, Humans can be found in nearly any climate or condition. They also have many cultures and ideologies.

Racial Costume: None.

Minotaur
Minotaurs are a proud race of people that live in harmony with nature. Serving as nature’s protectors, they are often found as Druids or Shamans. Minotaurs are known to be honest and trustworthy, but there are always a few exceptions to the rule.

Racial Costume: Minotaurs have brown skin with optional patterns of white and black and 2 horns protruding from their heads. Hooves are optional.

Orc
Blood and glory are what the Orcs live for. To die in battle after fighting to the bitter end is the greatest honor to an Orc. Short of that, emerging victorious from an arena holds nearly as much weight. War is what they are bred for, and war is what they crave. Rarely do they allow outsiders into their homes, but through the blessing of an Elder, others can become “Blood Brothers” or “Blood Sisters”. These people are seen as equals amongst the Orc tribes and are given the utmost respect.

Racial Costume: Orcs have green skin. Fangs are optional.

Realized (These are the furries!)
The Realized are the youngest race of Tethra, born from different animal races being over exposed to mana. Over time, these beings began to develop new bodies that stood on two legs and minds that could perform complex tasks. Now after centuries of development, the Realized are capable of all things the other races are. The only difference is that the thrill of the hunt still strongly flows through their veins.

Racial Costume: Realized have appropriately detailed skin representing the animal of choice, as well as a tail if appropriate to the species.

Sylvan
The Sylvan were born from the trees. During the Civil War between the Elves, the Moon Elves conducted experiments with the goal of creating new soldiers for their cause. They succeeded in the Sylvan, and the war was won through their efforts. Since then, the Sylvan have continued to evolve, now showing little sign of their deciduous origins.

Racial Costume: Sylvan have leaves in their hair and green around their eyes. Vines on limbs are optional.

Troll
The Trolls are quite possibly the most in touch with the elements of all the races. Since the early days of recorded history, Shamans have led the Trolls toward enlightenment. Often misunderstood and shunned for their methods, they kept to themselves and lived a nomadic lifestyle for generations. Often times, when a dirty deed needed be done quietly, it was a Troll who was called upon to perform.

Racial Costume: Trolls have blue skin and tusks protruding from their mouths.

Undying
Mana has an odd way of affecting all things, even the dead. During the Civil War of the Elves, the Sun Elves attacked the capital city of the Moon Elves with an experimental mana bomb. The effects are still felt today through the Undying. Any corpse that remains in that city’s ruins for long enough is reanimated not as an undead being, but as something more. While appearing undead to a degree, the Undying are very much alive and cursed to never die of old age.

Racial Costume: Undying have black around their eyes and a slightly pale complexion in addition to the costume requirements of their base race.

I've always been a good person and try my very best to just be me and make people happy. It feels recently though that I'm an outcast in a group of outcasts though. I'm not sure what exactly is causing this, but I don't have many friends in the fandom and my attempts seem to be met with exclusion because I'm not in a clique. I want to be involved, I want to learn and grow. But mostly, I want friends... People to talk to, people who genuinely care about me.

I don't think it's fair that someone who's trying to be responsible and can't afford to do many extra things or buy porn should be looked past when it comes to being involved. I'm not saying these are the reasons I feel this way, I just feel they could be contributing.

Things I feel keep me from being social:
-I have a mate, so people who are looking for a serious relationship won't find one and don't bother with friendship even.
-I can't attend many meets because of scheduling and funding, but hopefully that will change soon.
-I don't have very much art of my character because I can't draw and can't afford getting many things drawn.
-I have body hair. Seriously, why is it that people who want to be covered in fur are obsessed with removing the closest natural thing they have to it?

So yeah, for these reasons I think people skip over me. The last one is silly, but it has its justifications too for me feeling that way.

At any rate, I'm really looking forward to this convention next week and I'm hoping I'll get to make lots of new friends and experience new things. I just want to be accepted and not feel so alone in this big world.

So based on the schedule for FWA, I'll be running panels on Live Action Role Playing at this year's FWA convention!

Friday will be an introduction to how it's done and why it's grown to be so popular, then Saturday will be an actual game session for people to enjoy and roleplay with each other!

I figured that since we all roleplay being our characters, it's just the next natural step to do something similar in person. ^^

Hey everyone!

I'm back in the game once again. I'll be working on my own personal fursuit once again as soon as the starting materials arrive in the mail.

My first step will be to create the head piece, foam wise. Once I get that looking good, the rest will be very easy for me now that I own a sewing machine!

I hope to have this project done before FWA and go in full suit for some furry fun! I just need to make sure that I make sure the head looks awesome before I start my furring process.

If anyone has any advice or helpful hints, please let me know! I've been looking up tutorials and videos for quite some time now, and I'm pretty sure I've got the entire plan worked out correctly, but it can't hurt to quadruple check. :3

Hi there all! I'm still alive. X3

I wanted to post again to keep myself updated and what not. Life is good right now! I have my Trith to keep me company, I have a job I love, I'm doing decent enough in my classes too!

Important to me as well, once I get some extra money in late January, I'll be putting away for FWA again. Hopefully I'll also get enough time to make myself a more professional looking fursuit! I'll get it done and I'll make it awesome, and then I'll be comfortable with opening up for cheap commissions. I'd love for my hobby to pay for my hobby(and go to cons!).

Another side note, I'm working on creating my own LARP game! I've got some experience in creating content like this and I've got 7 years actual LARP experience, so I know a thing or two. Once I finish it up, I'll see what all I can do to make it thrive and have some fun! There isn't anything in Alabama as far as I'm aware, and only 1 group I've found in Georgia, if they even still play.

Are any of you out there LARPers? Would anyone be interested in playing a game or two? Who knows! Maybe with the right grouping of people, I can run a game at a convention for fun! ^^

Got my first character sheet from  sigil so I'm super excited and happy about that! :3

Moved in with my BF in Auburn, so I'm uber excited about that. :3

Still can't find a job. My money is nearly gone. School I'm passing, but not all A's like I want.

So I'm officially packing up and getting ready to move my furry butt to Georgia. I'll be leaving on the 1st (This Sunday) and I can't seem to stop freaking out about everything. Financially, I'm only just barely making it. I need to find a job right away, doing anything at all. At the moment, I'm not even sure if I can afford something to sleep on or put my computer on. Sure, there's a couch...but I really don't want to be a couch dweller for too long. Sleeping on someone else's couch just kinda drains my sense of self-accomplishment. Hopefully I can find a cheap futon that won't kill my back for sleeping on it. Craigstlist is my friend and all, but it's rather difficult when people don't respond to your responses to their ads.

The biggest redeeming factor for me with this move is that I'll be able to spend time working on my education and moving forward with my life. That and I can spend some time with my boyfriend too. XP

Hopefully all goes well for me. Luckily, my BFF Kasey showed me a page to help me get my textbooks for free! That's gonna help a lot for this first semester, and maybe semesters past that too.

Well, this Wednesday I'll be taking a trip to Georgia to set up my living space and a few other things. But first!

Halloween! :D

Tomorrow, I'll be going out in my neighborhood with my friend and younger brother in my suit. I'm hoping to bring some smiles and chuckles. ^_^

Now that I slimmed the jaw back and changed the eyes, I'm much more confident in the headpiece. Hopefully I can continue to fine tune my craft and get some work! :D

Over the last 2 months or so, I've been making plans for my future. It's been a process, but finally things are all starting to fall into place for me!

In the first week of January, I will be moving from New Jersey to Columbus, Georgia. I will be leaving the 'comfort' of my parents home once again and living on my own this time instead of with a crazy psycho lady that gets knocked up and hates on gays. I'll still be looking for a potential roommate to keep my options open (instead of just living by myself), as well as looking around down there for a job too.

I'll be attending Columbus State University to continue my education and get my career under way. I've already been accepted, so now it's just a matter of getting my Financial Aid setup all done, and I'm set!

For how I'll be living down there and what not, I'll be making a trip via plane at the end of the month, early November, to set up a lease if needed, as well as buy whatever furniture I'd need and put it into storage for the 2 months I'll still be in New Jersey. I would leave now and just be there, if not for the fact I'm in classes at my community college. XP

So, lemme know what you think! It's a move for me, but this move will make living costs drop drastically as compared to just staying in New Jersey. I'll be able to have more money to use on fursuit making and really get my process just right. Only one made and already I'm addicted. XP Just need to get good enough to feel comfortable selling to all you fine folk out there. ;3


Oh, and I'm single again. Yaaaay...

Ever get one of those days where nothing goes right? Everyone just seems mean for no reason? Anything that could easily be accomplished fails to be?

I'm having one of those days...and all I can wonder is...why me? T-T

Not to mention having any type of popularity in the fandom requires me to spend money. Money I don't have. Money that I can't have... Why must the world revolve around money? -_-

I knew what the biggest problem was with my suit, and hopefully if I browse enough I'll find multiple references on what I like. What is it? The eyes.

My eyes were made in a way that I wasn't happy with to begin with. Changes can easily be made for V2 of Ashton when I can get the finances to make him.

Other than that, the lovely  sigil gave me some suggestions for better look, including trimming more for a flow between fur colors as well as dropping the extra foam I had on the side of the muzzle's bottom, which I completely agree with! For a personal notice on change, I include the eyes and ear shaping, as well as the movable jaw mechanism. I'll be doing my best to study up on different muscular anatomies so that the foam more closely resembles it, making for a better looking head.

Once again, if you don't have the money to spend on a $700+ head piece, I'd be more than willing to take my intended changes and use them for you. Step by step pictures would be taken and shared with you as I go, making sure everything meets your expectations. We're all tight on cash, and funding another fursuit head for myself at the moment isn't in the cards, else I'd be making one right now and making those changes I mentioned!

I'm not the type to beg. Not my style. I might have to though when it comes to promoting the fact that I'm trying to do what I can to better myself in one giant leap of artistic expression. aka TELL YOUR FRIENDS ABOUT ME! :P

Over this past weekend, I attended Fur Affinity: United 4. I had a lot of fun, thanks to some new friends I made along the way. :3

During the convention, I donned my fursuit and went out to introduce people to Ashton! I really enjoyed myself, but wish I was out there more frequently for some more pictures. Oh well. First time for everything, right?

Comments that people made about the suit were all along the same theme: "That's your FIRST fursuit you've made?!" Taking that energy, but not getting carried away with it, I've decided that I would open myself up for fursuit work. Not commissions yet, but working for tips rather than a flat fee. This will involve people buying the materials needed first, then sending them to me to make their fursuit.

You get measured, and send me all the measurements I'll need to properly build your suit. Based on these measurements, I'll send you an approximation of how much material you'll need.

You buy the materials and ship them to me. Phone conversations will be held prior to establish a verbal connection, so you know I'm a real person. :3

I create the fursuit as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality and take pictures. Then, after receiving the shipping costs, I send it back to you.

Once it arrives, I ask that you take some pictures of it on and send them to me, so I can promote my work.

You decide what is fair to send to me based on the final project. If you're stingy and I don't feel that you showed your appreciation properly, I hold the right to deny future suits made for you in this manner. If you pay up front entirely at a price I disclose, then there's no problem!



Hopefully someone will be interested, once I post the fursuit pictures up. I'll also include commentary on things I intend to change for the next time construction wise.
