Hey artists, tell me what you think!
Posted 9 years agoWhat do you other artists think about Deviantart? I have a Deviantart account that has some very old stuff but I stopped using it because it didn't seem to lead anywhere.
I was doing some research and apparently there is a large furry population there and I had not really ever posted furry things anywhere but here before. Do any of you guys use FurAffinity and Deviantart in tandem? Do you notice any sort of difference or a wider reached audience?
How about other sites like Weasyl and the like? I feel pretty comfortable here, since it is easily manageable and so far you folks have been real kind to me! But I know there are people that really hate this site, as well as Deviantart, and as a professional artist I am trying to do what I can to reach many people.
On the other hand, it kinda stresses me out to think about managing a bunch of different accounts, or even managing a bunch of people. I already get kinda stressed about having an Instagram, Facebook art page, an Etsy in the works, and here. Blaugh. What are your guys' opinions?

Blaughh and the FUTURE
Posted 9 years agoThis week has been weird and crazy in it's own way. I want to get back into the grove of getting shit done again. Started on anti-depressants today, so that's exciting I guess, haha. Really hope it helps with not sleeping for 12+ hours a day and getting my drive back. Agh.
I'm hoping to open up for commissions in the next two weeks. I am so very NEARLY finished with the big one I am working on, then I have a few pieces to do for another friend and giveaway winners from my Facebook giveaway thing annnddd yeh!
Oh yeah, I am also getting paid from doing work for a company for the first time! It's pretty exciting. I got to draw lions which is something I am not too familiar with in general but apparently they look good!
I am gonna try not to be too spammy with commission upload stuff. Gonna try to post all my commission samples onto one picture maybe to prevent that as well as only making a journal about it once in a while.

I am posting them at 72 DPI which I know to be the standard for web images, but when I go to everyone else's galleries, the images are always bigger?? I dunno then what the ideal upload resolution would be here, or if I am worrying over nothing.

Thanks for liking all my arts and stuff! Sometimes I get overwhelmed with messages and don't respond like I should but, I want you all to know that I read every comment/shout and respond if I can and I appreciate all of it!
I am going to try to work on new stuff to post, but I am also catching up on commissions and also flatting/coloring comic book pages that should have been done a bit ago. Maybe if I don't feel too embarrassed I will post the comic up here.
In the mean time, I will keep working on quick sketches but I probably won't post all of them since I feel obnoxious doing that. Maybe I can compile sketch dumps instead and maybe post something like that once a week?? I forgot that sketch dumps were a thing, haha.
Well anyway, I just want to thank you guys for everything!

Posted 9 years agoI am finally graduated from freakin' school so that's rad I guess. I am working on some furry commission stuff right now so I'll be uploading that pretty soon here. ALMOST DONE! After things simmer down I'll sit down and actually try to create a functional commission/pricing chart thingmajig that will hopefully work better than last time, haha.
