Another model poll is now up on my Subscribestar for supporters, its a rerun of the last Hollow Knight model poll with the addition of a newcomer to fill the slot left by the last winner. Lace model should be public tomorrow, so I'm getting the new poll started immediately, it runs until the 31st so if you're a subscriber or you want to join and tip the vote on this poll you have till then! Also, people subbed at the $10 tier are now eligible to join an animation raffle! After subbing all you'd need to do is join the discord before the 31st to be entered, the animation will be a short loop like the ones I've been posting weekly to my substar. Hey so I'm now about one year into this whole thing so I figured it was about time for a little update post! First off I just wanna thank everyone for the crazy amount of support so far, I know its super cliche to say but I never expected to blow up this much with my dumb little art, much less in a year. I'm insanely grateful for all the people who have liked my art and all the chill people I've been able to talk to and get help from as I've gotten into this. I feel like I've improved a bunch from when I started and I'm hoping that I can continue to do so in the next year!

So first off I'm planning on starting to take commissions soon! I'm hoping to open them up in the next month as soon as I can, which shouldn't be too hard since I've got most of the stuff figured out and set up. I still need to actually put everything down on a concise commission sheet but I've got most of the pricing and tos stuff figured out. I've also got a Ko-fi and PayPal set up for payment processing which is good because I thought they were gonna be way more of a headache. Whats nice is its a proper business PayPal so managing all the payments and stuff should be easier! To be honest I'm a little nervous but I'm even more excited to give this a shot!

I'm also gonna try to ramp up the speed at which I put out models, since I've only finished and put out one and left a couple others in development hell. I'm gonna get the werewire model a bit more cleaned up before dropping it, i need to clean up its rig and maybe re-rig its arms. I've also gotta set up a separate little werewire plug rig to include for the people who want that for any hypno/tf shenanigans (its me I'm people who want that >:3). After that I've been working on a model of Wolf from LoL to finish out the Kindred duo but I'm gonna need to restart the sculpt that I was doing for it since it was a bit TOO scuffed in its current form. But expect to see wips of him soon. I'm also working on an OC/sona for myself too but I'll be keeping that one to myself for a bit. I've got a bunch of other character ideas too but those are still just ideas atm. I need to get better at sculpting but the only way to do that is to do it a lot more so that's what I'm gonna do! I will say that Lamb and Wolf will probably get revisited at some point next year once I improve as a way to track my progress with some more direct comparison. I DO plan on charging for some of my models at some point but not quite yet, I feel like i gotta improve my stuff a bit before I'm comfortable doing that but it will happen at some point, not for all the stuff i put out mind you but for some of it for sure.

Speaking of pay walling stuff lol, I don't plan on doing that with my animations or renders yet either, but if/when I do it'd probably be on substar since I've literally not seen a single positive thing said about the way patreons been handling stuff since I started this lmao. I plan on trying to tackle some longer animations that aren't just loops sometime soon, and I wanna do some more complex stuff with renders too, maybe some more editing stuff and maybe a comic at some point but idk. I definitely wanna try to make another big spooky animation for Halloween like I did last year, I just gotta pick out an idea for that. I hope that with the money from commissions/models n other stuff eventually will let me have a little more money to support some other artists I like (one to support them because supporting artists is epic and cool but also because yes I would like to buy their cool models so I can make more stuff with more characters) and also just to have a little extra money on the side. Not gonna lie it'd be really cool of I could become completely self sufficient by doing art and if that ends up somehow becoming a feasible reality for me you bet I'm gonna go for it! Since I was in middle school I always wanted to just kinda make art n games for the rest of my life, and if animating anthro ass is the way I start doing that, that would be pretty cool I think. Really funny also but mostly cool. But also being realistic that's not gonna just happen instantly so I'm not going all in on GRAHHHH big money making mode just yet, besides I'm mostly just doing this for fun anyways.
