After Peepoodoo, another interesting Kickstarter
Posted 5 years agoMany already know about the lackadaisycats webcomic
https://www.lackadaisy.com/
Well, there is a kickstarter finishing in a week to make it into an animated film
https://www.kickstarter.com/project.....ted-short-film
The original goal has been reached and completely surpassed a long time ago so there is no threat on that one, but some of you might be interested in participating in this one and in getting nice exclusive goodies, without knowing it even exists. And of course each new goal reached unlocks a new special feature for those who participated, so if you wanna contribute (I did)...

This can't be what Dragoneer aimed for with FA...
Posted 5 years agoSome times ago, FA administrators edicted a rule forbidding the same image being reposted again and again. This was specifically aimed at all the YCH/auction reminders.
This caused such an uproar from the FA community, that this rule has been withdrawn shortly after (so much for all the people who say FA administration does not listen to them!!! But that's another story). I have to admit I totally agreed back then with FA users, and was happy to see this rule removed, even if I personnally never was concerned.
Then an hour ago I accidentally pressed the "Browse" button, and this is what was displayed on my screen:
https://imgur.com/a/Y3ev0Dt
And this went on for at least THREE MORE FULL pages - I haven't been brave enough to continue after this........
Just counting the reminders (not the original auctions and YCH themselves, which are hopefully in totally reasonable number), MORE THAN 2 PICS OUT OF 5 ARE JUST AUCTION/YCH REMINDERS!!!
Did I just click the "Browse" button at the wrong time, or is this what you get at any other moment? I imagine an external person who would like to know what FA has to propose, does this really give them the desire to go further with FA?
What a great philosophy subject, which consolidates my own answer given to the question: "is democracy a good thing?" (guess what my answer is................)

Seven Peepoodoo funded ! Contribution still possible!!
Posted 6 years agoKickstarter just ended with relative success, since seven episoded are guaranteed to be funded. But to maximize chances to fund the entire second season (three more episodes for 115,000 more euros), studio Bobbypills is leaving their Paypal page opened until the 28th of February - far enough time not only to see those three episodes founded, but every euro beyond that goal will go into professional translations, especially English dubbing for this second season and japanese dubbing for both seasons!! These are extremely important to ensure a wide distribution, which in return will certainly help the whole adult animation industry getting some visibility.
Thank you again to everybody who contributed to this success, and thank you in advance all who will continue to participate until February, 28th!
To contribute through Paypal:

We just made it to Peepoodoo episode 6
Posted 6 years agoNow Peepoodoo 6 is also a sure thing, thanks to everyone who contributed in a way or another! A week ago I did not think it was possible...
Let's see now what this really means - and I am not just speaking about the very serie itself, but the impact this may have in the animation industry.

Peepoodoo first 5 episodes funded!!
Posted 6 years agoThank you everybody who contributed (even by spreading the word, that is as much important as actually spending money on it), first five episodes of Peepoodoo season 2 are now funded and secured!!
https://www.kickstarter.com/project.....-2/description
There is unfortunately almost no chance anymore episode be funded with this campaign, since it would require 50,000 more euros in less than ten days for just a sixth one, but let's be happy already with what we got. And there is a lot more than for us to have fun watching new adventures. This means also the studio knows there are fans ready to support them financially (a proof of real interest), that this project is viable, that the very concept itself, for which this studio has been created, is viable. It also shows all this to the rest of the industry, that there is a real public and a real niche for this kind of animation for adults.
Let's hope this will induce more than just raise an eyebrow, the war is certainly not won yet but an important battle has been fought with success.

You want a season 2 of Peepoodoo??
Posted 6 years agoHelp BobbyPills produce the second season of Peepoodoo!! Kickstarter is closing in 2 weeks, and they only need less than 30,000 euros out of 290,000 now!!!
What? You don't know Peepoodoo yet? YOU ARE ON FA AND YOU DON'T KNOW PEEPOODOO???? We ain't friends anymore LOL
https://www.kickstarter.com/project.....ends-season-2/
(link to season 1 at the bottom of the page for those who want to Watch it again or for the first time)
Lots of cool collectable goodies await you if you participate and the goal is reached. If this project is cancelled, then the whole concept of animation for adults (without being pornographic) is doomed in the west.

Feeling like Georges Lucas strikes back
Posted 6 years agoFollowing
zfqfmib's suggestion, I reuploaded "The right (s)tool" and it is at its original size now, so with slightly better quality.
Also I took advantage of it to correct a couple things I noticed after I uploaded the previous version.

Feeling like Georges Lucas
Posted 6 years agoJust for information, I slightly modified my young Mirage pic dating back from more than ten years ago. I like it much better now.
I hope to upload new art soon but I do not know when for the moment.

Go show your love to this artist!!
Posted 7 years agoHi everybody,
one of my oldest friends, who was once a professional comic artist (several of his works were released on the french comic industry), opened some times ago his gallery here while he already got one on DeviantArt since long.
He very recently decided to put some more stuff in it, but for the moment he is absolutely invisible, lost among all the other artists on FA.
If you like european-style art of superior quality, I would be extremely grateful you'd pay him a visit and show him your support at
KARAFACTORY
Thank you for your attention :-3

Ha ha ha, oooh, the irony...
Posted 9 years agoSo monday was vore day I've been told?
Such sweet, sweet irony - monday was also officially the day humanity exactly consumed what Mother Earth was able to produce at the same moment, so from this date on, we now are living above our resources.
Oh, also, this follows another anounce monthes ago that of course went completely unnoticed (since, you know, Beyonce's love affairs and other scoops of this kind are waaaaay much more important), a few monthes ago, Melomys rubicola had the prime and sad honor of being the very first species to become extinct thanks to global warming.
Those few who got a consciousness about human responsability will appreciate and meditate over the unique scope of those short lines that seem so commonplace nowadays.
Way to go, human race...

Remember this? My version is shitty in comparison, but I am always proud to have depicted it long before "the official one"...

No.
Posted 10 years agoA few days ago, I systematically removed from my gallery every submission that was of mature and adult nature.
I categorically refuse that the art I put so much of my heart and soul into, the art that often came out a long process of brainstorming to try to fix the best of it before laying even the first line on paper, be associated with ads leading to brainless shitty porn sites. I came to FurAffinity almost ten years ago because it was an ART site, with everything centered around ART, that without discrimination allowed confirmed artists as well as totally newbies to post their pictures and interact without any barrier. FA has been through a lot of shitstorms since its beginnings, but I always have personnally supported Dragoneer's decisions whatever people would say or do (it's a tough job and you must sometimes make really hard decisions that will undoubtly alienate you half your public).
That is, until recently.
The 7-monthes old StarryKittengate was the first BIG mistake that made me radically question FA's staff methods. A real and deep trust breaking appeared between FA and its users.
Surprinsingly enough, I totally understood Dragoneer's recent decision to more and more disengage from FA and let IMVU put its nose in here. He was head-on into FA, his child, against all odds, certainly a very grievous job since the furry community is an especially unthankful kind one (frankly, at my beginnings here I wrote an article in a french magazine flattering the open-minded furries; I would have written it a year after, it would have been the exact opposite, I NEVER encountered that deliquescence in any other group of people - and I feel very lucky that the vast majority of people who interacted with me here weren't of this kind). But this. Trying to get more money to support the site is totally understandable, I was very shocked but accepted the first all-public google banners for that reason.
The adult ones, on another hand... I will not enter in any sterile vindication about how I feel and what I think about those, I will just emphasize the fact that THEY ARE BLATANTLY BREAKING AT LEAST FIVE FA'S OWN AUP PROHIBITED CONTENTS RULES, lemme copy/paste them for you right below:
3. Photography
(Prohibited Content)
3.3 - Photography featuring sexual activity (human or animal) is prohibited.
3.4 - Photography displaying adult toys (sex toys or sexually modified objects) is prohibited, unless they are not in use, being worn, don’t show signs of having been in use, you created them from scratch, and you mark them with the adult content rating.
3.5 - Photography depicting nudity (exposed buttocks, breasts, bulges, outlines of genitalia, etc.) or indecently-clothed models (undergarments, diapers, lingerie) is prohibited. Exceptions may be made for swimsuits worn in public locations, such as a pool or beach.
3.6 - Photography containing bodily fluids, gore/injuries, or death is prohibited, unless the content is fake, special effects, or the final product of taxidermy when the pelt is preserved in good condition and the presentation is in good taste. This includes freeze dry and wet taxidermy as well as bones and finished pelts, but excludes anything raw or gory.
3.8 - Photography of random body parts that does not specifically showcase tattoos, custom jewelry, or body art is prohibited.
No.
I do not trust FA anymore, after nine-and-a-half years of blind confidence. My art, on the pages I manage, will not serve promoting woeful greedy pornsites. Dragoneer, maybe you had enough of everything, and I can understand that (I wouldn't have pesonnally bear all that for that long myself), maybe you now just want to kill the community you created. You did well. FA will certainly survive, but will never remain that site I loved posting my art onto. Things must evolve. It is sad that some devolve.
I may poste some more art later and observe the evolution of this site, but it will only be suitable-for-work only, waiting for anymore fauxpas and a then definitive withdraw. I am finished doing adult art anyway, it belonged to a happy and horizon-less part of my life that's long gone now.
Also, thank you Dragoneer for letting me realize what a fool I've been to refuse using ad-block until now. Even if that means I will not be able anymore to look at - and sometimes click on - artist banners. With everything that implies for the concerned artists themselves.
