What good my thing-a-month plan went, lol.

Going to Anthrocon this year, specifically showing up mid-day Friday. If you see me as Dr. Hammond, don't hesitate to give me a shout!

So because of issues with work scheduling I'm very sad to say I'm missing Anthrocon this year :/

Also, sorry for the lack of updates and such, I've been so busy with the new job that even scheduling things out and doing simple things that need to be done has proven to be waaaay too much of a hassle.

The next thing on my agenda is to get around posting amazing artwork I had commissioned like a year ago and I have yet to post myself. I feel terrible it keeps being put on the backburner but I'll try to get to it this weekend or next if I can make time.

I feel like I ought to set goals and updates for each month. Something to set the gears in motion, you know?

While 2016 was all around shitty, a lot of good things happened. Good events and friend-bonding moments, a newer car, and got to meet some people I'm a fan of like Grant Kirkhope, so that balances a bit! I also got a reference sheet commission finished that I plan to repost and credit when I remember how to link people XD

Unfortunately got laid off though and need to find a new job, so hopefully I can fix that by February and not get stuck in job search limbo for another two years. I also need to work on a D&D campaign, some Let's Plays (considering Doom or Sonic games to start with), at least a chapter of a novel idea, and work on a reference sheet for a new character which I still need to decide what variant of a species it should be, so, yeah, this is certainly going to be a hell of a year to set goals for.

Having a reference sheet done soon and I'm torn between having it made in a Sonic-esque style or an average, furry style. On one hand, I'm probably going to seek a lot more Sonic-oriented commissions, but I DO have a lot of stuff planned for regular commissions with other friend's furs. decisions decisions.... any input?

Went to Anthrocon this year with some friends and it was loads of fun! Got some good deals at the Dealers Den, had a commission done (which I'll probably make y profile pic for the moment), played some tabletop games with distant friends, made some new friends, and had a nice, surreal moment listening to some sweet smooth jazz at midnight in a dimly lit lounge~


So with Anthrocon sadly finished up this year, I have a ton of goals I'd like to reach by the next big convention, possibly Furpocalypse in October. I want to:

*finish getting the colors worked out for my fursona
*Get a reference sheet done for facial expressions and colors for further commissions
*Join Telegram
* Join Pounced or something to meet new people in the community and possibly look for ladies also looking for relationships
* Sort personal life issues in terms of travel and living expenses
*Get some nice pictures taken for the sites and such
*Cosplays? I had a Banjo thing going this Anthrocon but I think the lack of blue backpack didn't help

So yeah, got a lot planned ahead, wish me luck!

The new Animal Crossing spinoff seems interesting... Anyone else considering getting it? What are your thoughts?

I'm curious if this is a thing in the FA community? I have an extra Sonic amiibo that I'm absolutely dying to have someone use as a build-off of like a clay model of my fursona or something to that effect

Well, this weekend was eventful! Even after a stressful day of work, my car literally falling apart, learning things about people that made me a bit sad and having a bad situation sour an otherwise great night, FAU 8 was pretty fun! I had a great time hanging with friends and meeting new people, so I can only hope that I can further extend my circle of furry friends XD (not to mention working on my charisma since it has become obvious that I'm a bit TOO shy haha)

Not sure if I will be able to make it to Furpocalypse because of exams but I'm hoping to get there and have as much fun if not more there!!!

See above. I'll also have a 3DS on me for Smashing with new challengers or showing Animal Crossers the glorious borders of Guemoria!!! Also, meeting new people might be cool!

To summarize, Sega's put up a character popularity poll in recent weeks that may or may not have anything to do with Sonic's 25th anniversary game. If it does, then BLAZE NEEDS TO WIN THIS. "But what if I want to vote for Metal Sonic because of my nostalgia?" NO. YOU DON'T. STOP THAT LINE OF THINKING. STOP IT.

It's really heartbreaking to see Blaze put up against cult classic favorite Metal Sonic. I love both of them to death, but Blaze is truly a rising fan favorite that unfortunately seems to be under-appreciated in the games despite being a very well fleshed out character that's incredibly fun to play as to boot. Really,who DOESN'T want to play as a speedy, calm, collect and graceful ballerina of a character that shoots fire after each pirouette?

That's why, despite my nostalgia for Metal Sonic, I'm voting for Blaze.

Metal Sonic has had way too many moments in the limelight already so it is only fair that Blaze gets her chance as the modern fan favorite.

Oh, and a vote for Vector as well, another character that I'd love to see fleshed out more!

Going to be preparing for the Talent Show at FAU but still indecisive of what song to sing, so I made a straw poll of TMBG and JoCo songs I'm interested in doing, leave a vote!

So, added watches to a bunch of people I met at Anthrocon be it this year of previously and I'm already setting up plans for this year's FAU, particularly doing the Talent Show again with a song I've yet to decide (can FA do polls? I might post one in another journal) and taking place in the poker tournament again (Spacedust, you're going down this time >:) )

In other news, I have a commission finishing up soon so I'll probably have a profile pic soon and I'm considering posting my old reference sheet and a photo of me in my hoodie with some alterations, so that will be cool.

I also plan to try to be more active on this site... Perhaps I'll start posting some writing works. I've admittedly started writing a bit of fan-fic/erotica over the week for reasons of getting sidetracked on novella writing and being in the right kind of mood, though I'm a bit hesitant to go about posting that, haha
