Posted 3 years agoHey guys, just wanted to update ya'll that I'm still alive. I just been through a lot of life changing events that some of you may already know at this point. I will not go into details, but one event still has me in a bit of grief. That being said, I still have done art, I just haven't posted here. The reason being...I was lazy and had a hard time keeping up with so many art and social media sites @_@. I do plan to post what I've done here later on this week, so there'll be an art dump.
Anyway, how've ya'll been? Up to trouble? Did I avoid any furry or FA related fires since my last post?

Surgery and commissions
Posted 7 years agoHey guys, I probably should have mentioned this sooner but I have had surgery on my right shoulder last Friday due to an injury during karate class that my silly self neglected for some time to get it checked out. What sucks is it is my dominate hand so drawing isn't going to happen any time soon (typing this is such a chore for my left hand X'D). What also sucks is the amount of money sucked out of me and more to come. I know I've kinda put doing commissions on the back burner for a while, and have been getting notes on when I will open them. I apologize to those I haven't had the time to respond to yet, but it looks like once I am able to get some use of this arm back, I will have to open them back up. I had an old list floating around but I will be updating it later. I will announce them here when they are open as well as my midnightzerk twitter, so please do not note me requesting a slot until I officially open them, it's a bit unfair for others. Thanks for understanding!

This is who I am

If you don't want to read this rambling mess, skip to the bottom for the TL;DR
As I have grew up in my teens I've never once felt any attraction to anyone. I didn't care much for seeing the differences between male and female besides physical ones. I would find myself a bit of a late bloomer and didn't start dating until I was in college. Even then, I have only been with two people in my entire life. During those times though I was starting to realize more and more that I was feeling attracted to the person themselves and really could careless of their gender but I was not comfortable stating that and figured that since I'm already taken, there was no reason to even let it be known.
I have been curious of my friends' opinions on the matter of being attracted to the opposite and your own gender. At the time I wasn't aware of many different identities. The replies I have gotten, weren't all that positive so I just figured it was best to keep my mouth shut on the matter. I would hear things like "Bisexuals are just greedy" or "They are just confused, you are either straight or gay" and the worst "They just want attention cause it's the new fad". It's really hurtful but me being me just didn't want the drama or arguments and just kept it to myself, even convincing myself that maybe I was just 'confused'.
Years later, I have became more and more confident in sharing who I am regardless of stigma. The first was that I was Agnostic-Atheist, I found that as very risky thing to say but I figure if you were my friend before I talked about that, nothing about me has changed with me just letting others know. I still respect other's beliefs as long as it does not encroach on other people's lives, harm others or yourself, and accept science.
Next I finally came to terms with the anxiety, depression, and self-esteem issues I have been told all my life to "Just get over it" or "Toughen up". That helps no one and is fueled by ignorance. It prevents the person from seeking help and puts them into a world of debilitating issues. I finally put my foot down and went to seek help on my own and honestly if I never did I would not be where I am today. I still have a lot to work on and counseling have brought out some deep rooted shit that would explain everything going on so I can knock these issues out of my life! I will go more in depth with what I mean later in another post.
I've come to terms up learning more about myself and information that I identify as bisexual. I never really came outright with it due to a few in my circle of friend's opinions about it. But for the longest while I was certain I was indeed this way.
It wasn't until I have learned that I don't seem to really care what gender you are, if I find you attractive physically and mentally it will have nothing to do with what gender you identify. I've come to learn that it fits more into the definition of Pansexuality. I never brought it up though since it was not a common term and I just could not tell the difference between bi and pan. Bi isn't just male and female attraction, it's to 2 or more but not all. Pan is all and I feel I am lean more towards that.
I know what a lot of you might say/think "Well you are happily married to someone of the opposite gender so what is the point of saying any of this?" or "You can't be if you haven't hooked up with any other gender besides male". I get that. But please do understand, I've have had a hard time coming to terms and convincing myself otherwise from peer pressure and being accused of 'being greedy' or 'trying to get attention'. I've only been with 2 people, yes. However, I have been also very shy, awkward and barely any confidence approaching anyone. I am also happy in my marriage and no part of me will or even wants to ruin it.
The reason I do want to bring it out is to also support others to open up and take pride in who they are. That you can have a small dating record and be in a relationship and know you you are in attracted to hell maybe it might create interesting and positive results to strengthen your current one. Know that you are NOT just confused, gaining attention, etc. You are you and only YOU know yourself!
TL;DR I am a Demi, Pansexual, Agnostic Atheist, with Anxiety (possible PTSD) ,Black ,liberal and independent woman! My husband is the love of my life and thank you for being with me and accepting who I am!

What's been happening?

So like I have said in my latest submission, last year and some of this year has been a busy, life changing, somewhat annoying experience. First off, since the cat's out of the bag I might as well anounce it, so I was set to be the lead background artist for the new FXX cartoon "Deadpool". We had a lot preproduction worked on mid last year and were testing folks to be hired. Unfortunantly after such a LONG delay we get news last, last saturday that the Glover brothers (Stephen and Donald) and Marvel could not come to an agreement to the script. So FX pulled the plug on it since both sides could not come to an agreement. Our studio is still in good terms with both but we have no idea where the show stands in the future. This fucking sucks as I was really excited to help lead on this, the animation and art is great but we still do not have to permission to show what we have done. This also would have been my first time leading anything and use such a fun style they felt was right up my alley. This was also a major challenge on my anxiety. Literally, finally going to a therapist to help me through. Ugh so that news and seeing articles with WRONG info had me annoyed all last week. All I can say, fuck Taylor Swift and no one should be safe from parody and satire.
I have been at least back and helping on Archer as I have been but this season, although pretty, was an absolute challenge. I really hope it does well and is better recieved than last season. It premiers this month btw. Good news is they still plan to have me lead for next projects. So hopefully that goes well.
Besides work, the most important thing, me and my husband bought our first home! It's a townhouse but nonetheless we are done with apartment life! Hopefully for a very long time to forever. It went pretty smoothly and quicker than I had expected but it is a good feeling to do mostly what ever you want to your living space.

Posted 8 years agoHey guys, as usual I plan to snag a table in the artist Alley fro Furry Weekend Atlanta (FWA) and Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) and I was wondering, if you are attending or if you were able to attend, what are the kind of things you look for from an artist? What would you like to see from me? I tend to lean more art of things I like but realistically that has NOT been working out well for me, My focus is doing what I love but when I'm trying to raise money so I can hire people to help me on my comic...well yeah XD

Cosplayers/ fursuiters Help!
Posted 9 years agoI'm looking for some foam for my cosplay of Jaco: http://www.dragonballinsider.com/wp.....co-appears.jpg chest 'armor'. I was suggested upholstery foam cause it is flexible like his armor and not hard like saiyan armor in which case I would use EVA foam. However, it looks like the only way I can get any is by ordering. Any suggestions on where the best place to order would that's affordable with quick shipping? Also, is this the best kind to use for this type of chest piece? My concern is temperature and flexibility. Share to anyone you know that might help me out if you can. THANKS!

Paypal alternative to paypal when selling mature art?
Posted 9 years agoHey guys, I heard a while ago that if you use paypal to sell adult/ fetish art they will lock your account. Is there an alternative paying site that customers don't have to also have account with or a way to get around this? If not, then I'll have to not accept anymore adult themed commissions.

Posted 9 years agoHey guys, just letting you know I still exist although I haven't posted shit in a while. I have been extremely busy with work (season finale of Archer was rough @__@) and preparing my 2nd issue comic for Momocon here in Atlanta this month!

Married Ya'll!
Posted 10 years agoSo hey guys! It's safe to say I halted on Inktober, the studio gets hyper busy around Sept-Dec months so yeah...but I do have a mini comic I'm just about finishing up. But it's not about that, I want to announce that I am officially married! I wanted to do it on Halloween day but 30th is just as fine. No huge celebration, we decided to do a court wedding and reception next year Halloween cause ain't no body got money like that!
In other news I haven't mentioned it here but I do have a webcomic I have been working on and after I post the last page of the first issue I will go on a hiatus on it until work at the studio chills a bit.

Posted 10 years agoSo this year was my first time going to Anthrocon (and traveling up north) and I can definitely say I had a blast! I met a LOT of friends and artists there and I even more convinced to make my xenomorph suit (I say this everytime...). I hope to go there again more now!

Sorry for the sudden silence, pretty much all this week was me and my Fiance moving to our new apartment, which went a lot more slower than planned due to me having a sprained ankle and having to pack while on crutches. Posted 10 years agoHey guys since I realized I gave no warning about opening commissions the last time so letting you guys know I will be opening them Monday night-ish (roughly 8 eastern time). DO NOT note me before then please. Still doing 5 at a time. I will also be in the middle of moving next week as well as working on stuff for FWA so they might come out a little slow.
Speaking of FWA I will be hosting a panel there with
myoti about character design. It'll be my first panel and also my first time speaking publicly in front of a lot of people __X but I do enjoy helping and sharing my knowledge with others.

Anthrocon

yark-wark are planning to go to Anthrocon for our first time this year. Only thing is, we might need 1 or 2 more people to room with us. I heard grabbing the rooms in time is going to be a nightmare so there is also the chance we might not grab it in time. So if anyone wants to go to Anthrocon but doesn't have others to room with we are accepting! ONLY picky thing, we really don't want smoking in the rooms. I know most hotels don't allow it anyways but if they do for the sake of our lungs don't. We are friendly, pretty quiet fart heads.

Posted 11 years agoYeah remember the 13 ghost of pokemon art jam thingy I was doing? I might have to hop out of it. We've gotten way too busy at work plus (doing overtime and weekends) I am helping a buddy with their project so there is no way I can do these each day for Halloween without burning myself out. I'm still going to finish them but it's going to be way later. If you were doing these I have no problem with ya continuing or not, it was mostly for fun and for people to have something enjoyable to do for the month. Again sorry about this. OTL

This time the theme is ghost type pokemon! With that I'm deciding to see if any one of ya'll want to join in?
