I was hoping that our government would actually grow a pair and realize that this is a stupid idea but apparently they can't do shit since it's all 75 year old men who struggle to use a keyboard, let alone use the internet. I don't care how long they've been at politics, we need new blood in the system before it's to late...and by to late I mean in the next few days.

This SOPA act doesn't just affect us Americans...it hits the whole world. How many of you live in Canada? The British Isles? South America? Germany? The Middle East? Anywhere!! You're all affected! Here's another question...how many of you use youtube? Tumblr? Redit? Facebook? Myspace? 4chan? Steam? How about DeviantArt? Yeah...Deviantart is on the target list as well. All of these companies will be shut down because they could be possible copyright infringement and piracy violators.

Guess what else...most people you see here on DeviantArt got famous through fanart. Guess what...you draw fan art you are liable to be sued by the company that owns the character for more money than you will ever earn in your lifetime. You want to draw a persona for a tv show? NOPE!! Copyright infringement!! Take it down and lawsuit.

But there is more...if it even resembles something that a big company owns it can also be taken down. Normally I don't talk about other users but there are a few VERY popular members of this site with comics that are completely original but will be seen as just like a very popular anime and taken down. None of this even takes place in America...but it can happen...and you guys know who I'm talking about. Look at the other big DeviantArt names...See how most of their content is fanart? Yep. All their comics and businesses are gone. No more, "Nobody loves Weegee" for example.

Lets move on to other things...music. Yeah that'll be heavily affected. No more Indy music, no more new bands...only the stuff that is established and what if they're not the big thing anymore you say? Guess what that's all you'll get since there will be no investors in other new artists.

I may be extreme with this, but SOPA is just the doorway into other laws that will come at us until we have no rights and are nothing more than a giant machine. I don't know about you people...but I want to live before I die.

But I think I will have to put "Trapped" on a major hiatus or even offline for a long time. It needs some major fixes from the ground up.
