I've been finally able to catch up with that looooong long months old queue as things have been generally going better for me.

The point of this journal is:
The fact that I can't just post comms back to back makes this site hell for posting that big commission backlog.
So I'mma be frank, I can't be fucking asked to do it and tbh that also goes for Twitter.

So I talked about this on my discord and on twitter but as usual, when it comes to FA.... I forgor 💀

Right now I'm dealing with commissions, an end of uni project (big pain) AND an actual irl job that take up most of my time.
So it is with a heavy heart that i've decided to go in an indefinite hiatus and I'm cancelling this year's kinktober. It's fucking ass cause i made my own prompt list and stuff :/

Commission-wise I'll focus on grinding out the pending comms and after that I'll probably only open one slot at time on my discord every now an then, since commissions complement my actual job's salary quite a bit and i can't just shut that down.

TL;DR: Going in an indefinite hiatus to focus on life and comms slots will slow down (even further, i know).

So y'all remember how i said i'd do a giveaway when I hit 2k gamers and i never got around to it?

Boy, it's been a good while since I've formally opened comms rather than taking the odd comm through DMs in a pinch. 2020 was ass and organization has never been my forte;;
Because of this a number of people have already expressed interest in commissioning me, and since I no longer keep track of a waiting list (cause I lost it oops) I'll be raffling out the slots to interested people as to not have them sniped. I feel it is a fair system when considering that time zones are a thing.

Regarding the new pricing
In summary: most things have gone up by 5 bucks in average and 10 for fully shaded stuff. The biggest change which might not make a lot of you happy is that additional characters are no longer at half price.

The reason for the former is that I am happier with my art and feel like I've improved a bit since I last set those prices, I hope you don't mind!
The reason for the latter is that it's simply twice the work for half the pay, and it's fairly demotivating sometimes. Also there was a bit of a loophole before in which you could comm a bunch of characters and have them most at half price just for being in the same image regardless of them having no interaction with each other.

I hope you don't mind the new pricing too much, I know that prices going up could potentially dismantle some of what you guys wanted based on the previous pricing and I'm very sorry;;

We're about 30 watchers away from 2000, and I, personally, PogChamp at this.

I wanna do a giveaway when we get there but I'm not sure if I should give away one big art or a bunch of sketches for y'all instead, watchu think?

So it's probably obvious that I tend to draw in small bursts of a couple of comms, may be some Lexi or my sona here and there and then I go silent for a few months.

The reason is that I'm just not happy with my art RN. Looking back at it i see that I never really moved in a direction i'd be happy with, just forward. Not necessarily a bad thing but it's all been pretty aimless (and slow) improvement over the years. Not liking my own art is something that's been going on for about a year or so, if not more.

Most of these periods of inactivity are spent slacking, putting off the process of sitting down and finally nailing down what my art needs to make me, personally, happy. Now, despite not necessarily being super emotionally attached or invested in commissions (art wise), I still want to deliver something that I consider good work, something I could be happy showing as examples of what I sell when it comes to art. As you can guess this leads to me just not drawing them, couple that with avoiding figuring out why i feel my art is lacking and videogames and you have a recipe for months of no art until suddenly a random burst of motivation breaks the cycle temporarily.

Obviously this is not ideal nor very professional, but it is how things have been for the past... let's just say for a long time. I'm trying to get better though, finally taking a deep look at what is about my art that I don't like and where do I want to take it. Still not entirely sure but i'm starting to take baby steps, so there's that.

TL;DR: I'm bad and lazy and i suck but goddamn i'm trying, i swear.
