I miss when time was slower. Ya know? Now all of a sudden I got like...two years left of my 20s, and then it's all downhill from here. And yet here I am with 50 followers and probably still growing. I dunno. What I do know is that for me this...isn't quite the time to celebrate. Nooot just yet.

The house is finally complete and moving has for really realzies begun! All this week I will be working on moving and getting settled in. After that, work can resume on comics and updates should begin flowing again real soon with maybe a month or two gap in between every five episodes.


But before all that, I need to resume my mad sidequest binge on FF7.

I probably already made this journal last year, but I feel like I need to type it again for the sake of consistency and because some jagoffs need to be told.

One of my biggest pet peeves/berserk buttons/quickest way to getting told to fuck off is criticizing someone's art when it's not up to YOUR standards. Like okay yes. Not everyone has super amazing art skills and they need to be told that. ORRRRR you pick the second option of just not bothering to watch that person or their art!

And before someone says "But Atma! How do we know if we're good or not if we don't listen to the advice of others?" I'm not saying don't listen to the advice of others! Advice is when someone finds a mistake or two, and politely points it out to you in a helpful manner! Criticism is when some pretentious jagoff, some insufferable knowitall dweeb tries to size up your entire gallery with some big fucking essay post that can be narrowed down to the sentence: "I don't like you or your art and want you to feel bad."

Although it's not all groans and eye-rolling when one of these self-righteous turds roll around. Because if they're an artist too, chances are they do things the exact same way you do, or they don't do art at all and just want to feel special. Either way they're not special. They never will be. And it's better to laugh them off and block their asses instead of giving their bullshit the attention they so desperately crave.

I'm reminded of Dr.Cox's rant at the end of "My Fifteen Minutes". Because at the end of the day, the only one who can evaluate you is you. What are you good at? What do you suck at? It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. What matters is what you think.

Sooo remember earlier this year when I said I would have to go on indefinite hiatus when I had to start packing and preparing for the move? Well that time is now. I thought for sure I could get this episode finished beforehand, but stress and late night cat chases have done it again. That being said thank you again for your patience, I will try to get this train rolling again after I have absolutely nothing RL-related impeding me of my progress.

I think I'm just gonna stop saying "I'm gonna take the next week off because reasons" since it's been so frequent lately. Doesn't help that I'm still sick despite passing the one week mark with this nasty bug. All the same from now on, I'll only point out delays after TWO weeks of not updating. Or three. Whatever.


On an unrelated note: The fact that so many people refuse to do a genocide run in Undertale is living proof that humans are not bastards, that we are capable of more than just bigotry and hate, and that straw darwinists who say otherwise can suck it.

On the flip-side I finished my neutral run of Undertale, and am overcoming a cold I've been fighting since last thursday. Said cold keeping me from getting any real work done for next week. Ah well. I will try to remain determined until then. Be well everybody!

So yesterday we got to meet with the builders of the house. They gave us a quick tour of how everything was gonna be set up, and they (hopefully) should be done by Christmas.

As for comic updates, still kind of slogging through getting specific sprites done. After that I am going to work on getting every last strip for episode 27 finished and then release it all in a big catch-up update that should be up around October give or take how much time I will be spending cleaning and packing.


I have NOT forgotten about any of you, and I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you again for being so patient, and enjoying this sillydumb pixel comic that I have devoted the better half of my life to putting out there.

I might have to go on another hiatus. I'm too stoked and/or dreading when we move to really focus on comics, and the more I go through my scripts for the next couple of episodes, the more I feel the need to change stuff around to the point that the entire plots come tumbling down like jenga blocks.



No worries or anything. I just got a lot of weight on my shoulders right now.

How sad is it that there are no Slam Jams of TRON Legacy's soundtrack? Of all of the music to splice the Space Jam theme with, this is the one that gets overlooked.
