Another Update, Please read if your in the Dallas area
General | Posted 15 years agoSo upon further thought i have a new plan of action. This plan while less convenient, is more realistic to what I can ask of my friends in the Dallas area.
So what im thinking instead of the previously discussed plan is that instead of spending a month in Dallas job searching i would stay here and put in apps online. I would stay here until I get a call back/interview then come up to Dallas a day ro so before the interview and stay there to deal with that.
This leaves only 2 things that i have to worry about.
1. Where can i stay for a few days on very very short notice (like it might be less then 2 days notice)
2. can i stay at that place for up to a week or 2 after i get the job while i look for an apartment in the area?
This brings me to the other thing in my plans that has changed. While i still want to move in with some roommates it is not looking like that will happen, instead i will have to get my own place. something that i had intended to be separate big step to take but i think its what has to happen, it will be hard and i will be very tight on cash but i will at least be out of my parents house and with a den to call my own.
So yeah, i am asking that anyone in the north Dallas, Addisonish area that has crash space and isn't too far from DART please contact me through email or PM on here, im not asking for a handout either. while i'll discus payments in private i will say it will be a substantial bit of cash if i end up needing to stay more then a few days.

An update on a foxeh fluffs life
General | Posted 15 years agoSo yeah where to begin, well after I got the GED I had a plan in place already to poke around Dallas some more while i was there visiting

zapnutshakur to try and decide if i was sure i wanted to move there. The answer was a definite yes and so i put things in motion and began planning for it.
Up until now i haven't said anything on here because i didn't have things finalized and ready to go yet but now i do, i have plenty of cash to pay for things while i look for a job and try and find some roommates and Ive already gone and began checking if places are hiring in the area and they are.
Ive had some gawk at me for saying im not going to worry about a car and honestly, Ive done my research and found that i wont need one, Dallas has one of the best transit systems in the state if not the best and i know at least 3 furs that use that system to commute to white-collar jobs around the city, and here im only looking at like walmart or best buy. so im not worried about it.
When it comes to money my folks are lending me a nice chunk of change for while i job search, it should be enough to pay for at least a month and a half of living expenses and for my trip to wild nights without me having to worry too much about it.
So now I have a very short list of things to do before I can finally get out of my folks house and this hell hole called San Antonio.
1. find a place to stay while im job searching (already have a few ideas and ill be chasing up with those people later today and Tuesday though if you have a place to offer let me know and we can talk :)
2. wait about a week for my new Social security card and my bank cards (I just got a new bank account) to come in the mail
3. find a job in Dallas (the Addison area if possible)
4A find someone in one of the "furry complexes" looking for a roommate or looking to get a bigger apt and therefor a roommate
4B (if i cant achieve 4A) look into efecency apts in the Addison area and try and get one on a month to month or 3 month lease while I wait until someone needs a roommate
So yeah thats whats up with me and what my very very near future plans are,

Oklacon 2010 review

Basically I enjoyed Oklacon this year, it wasn't as good as last year for me but I still had fun. The biggest problem with the con this year (to me) was on Thursday and Friday security was a bit crazy. To the point that it killed the alot of the mood of the con. After that they seemed to get in check and the con lightened up some.
I spent about 90% of the con working with A/V, in fact as best we can tell I had well over 45 volunteer hours. When I wasn't working A/V I was filming most of the events and a few other random things such as the varity show and fursuit walk. I also ended up DJ'ing like 2~4 hours over the lenth of the con and also running the music during the fursuit dance thing.
I'm starting the editing on my footage of the dances tomorrow and ill see how it goes and keep everyone posted.
I'll add more to this later including shout-outs to those who made Oklacon special :3

Me and my mother were on a cross country trip at the time, on our way back home from Montana we had stopped at my uncles place in Denver... TFF'10 Video
General | Posted 15 years agoI should be releasing my TFF'2010 video later tonight assuming all goes according to plan but until then i though id give you all some pics of the editors timeline :P

so far to my best guess Ive spent at least 30 hours on this video, its 20 mins long cut down from at least 90 mins of raw footage. the video is so big in fact that i had to start editing lots of the parts individually, the hardest being the fursuit limbo video that was originally 20 mins of raw footage and is now about 4 mins and 50 seconds.
I will post a link to the vid in a new journal when its up, as of right now im rendering the full copy for my database (720p 30fps in x264 codec~8000k 2pass it takes about 2 hours 20 mins) then i have to render out the split version of the vid so i can get around YouTube's 15 min limit

General | Posted 15 years agoThat people in the furry fandom don't know how to have a conflict behind closed doors, i mean ive had my share of drama and spread it a few times (im 19 and still learning how not to act like it) but im just sick and tired of furs talking shit about people in public for all to see...
One place thats been driving me up a wall is the Business forums of Wild Nights, Its like no one can talk about someone to their face without draging them through the mud. I really want to be involved in that con but its like every 3 weeks someone starts shit with someone else again so im afraid to...
I just wish people would learn to grow some balls and talk to a person privately instead of doing it in public so all your friends back you up and make you feel better.
Btw im only using the wild nights drama as an example..
ive been watching all kinds of shit... Blazger, E621 and other various other "so and so said that about so and so" drama.... its freaking crazy
