Last night at 1 in the morning it came to my attention that the contact email on my comms listing was WRONG. If you had tried to contact me, either please send a note here or try the email again. I don’t even think the email attached was real, so they probably went absolutely nowhere.

Aggghhh I know I’m late now ;-; I’ve been pretty busy, I do at least want to submit a few more of the ideas I had sketched up but couldn’t get to, even after the month is over. Might have to work something out a little different next year oops

But I’ve heard this said before, and I think it’s good to spread the message, but behind every really great piece of art from someone you look up to there’s 12 of the most ass dogshit sketches you’ve ever laid eyes on. You never see it because they don’t want to post it, and frankly I don’t want to either lmao. You don’t need to be the best because no one out there is. Strive for it, but don’t destroy yourself over it.

Do your shitty ass sketches, and learn from them. It’s what makes us human and what makes everything we do so authentic. Humans are SHIT at things. But sometimes we just happen to do some things right, and it’s what we choose to show to the world. Art does suck and it’s hard, but that’s the point. You show what your struggle amounts to, and even if it’s not a lot, there’s going to be one person who’s going to appreciate it. And if one person is chasing you down in a dark alley I think that’s enough.

I know this isn’t anything new and it’s probably obvious anyway, but sometimes you just need to hear it again. Hear it from someone else, or see a video on YouTube of someone saying it. That’s all I have to say, the thought just came to my mind as I was practicing.
