You know, I've been thinking..

perhaps one of the most rarest things I see on FA.. actually, I can't remember crossing paths with one.. is a FurAffinity user who is Recognized and popular, yet his art is still inexperienced or of a low caliber, and does not commission people.

Its easy to get popular on FA in two ways.. One is to do alot of commissioning. Or be that big skillful artist. These two ways can easily get you recognized from what I've noticed.

I don't fall under either category, unfortunately. Because of this, I might not have an easy time getting recognized. I have to rely on luckily being accepted by those I watch, and to be as active as I can with comments and watches, and updating my own low quality art. But I never know where to comment or watch.

What I hope to obtain from FA is to either make new friends, find a motivation to draw, or to get the proper art critique I look for in order to improve my drawing techniques. So far I've only had luck with the motivation..

Maybe it's a self-fulfilled prophecy, but I think, even I might be guilty of this, that people highly validate others by their present popularity, their status on the site or their Art skills.

I don't intend on quitting, but I wish I had a way to get that recognition easier.. I can never figure out where to begin or how to get motivated.... I might plan on commissioning a few artists. and I seriously need to work on being more active. But where do I begin..

Alright, I really need to draw.. but I can never seem to overcome artblock!

I really wish I had a way to overcome this.. I want the artistic vision I had when I was younger back.. I feel like I lost it.. I hope I didn't lose it for good :S .

I want to draw more.. I really do.. but I just can't seem to get the inclination to draw.. seeing how 95% of the people who draw, draw better than I do.. its hard to keep motivated to improve..

I wanted to bring up this subject. I always loved pickup lines myself. They're humorous to me, and a funny way to break the social barrier between a person. But Alot of people don't seem to like them... What are your exact thoughts on pick up lines? The classic ones?

For example..

Like.. "Hey there! if I told you that you had a nice body, would you hold it against me?"

What are your thoughts on pickup lines?

Might be gossiping a bit in this journal, but its all positive gossip.

you know... I really wish I had a way to get myself known in the fandom.. I know I keep complaining about this, but look on the bright side.. I was doing the same about art until mocha drew me. So that's one down, one to go.

Speaking of mocha.. She's a good example of a well-like artist. Tons of people toss art her way 'cause they like her! And she draws for alot of people in turn, commission or otherwise.

But then there's users like duncan or drayk who are not popular because of their artistic habits, but are still highly popular as well. Hell, they're so popular I'm already gossiping about them. It seems that people are just drawn to their personas like a moth to a flame, their personality being another factor as well.

....I want that kind of popularity. *chuckles* but I'm still trying to figure that one out for myself..

so today's my birthday. Many thanks to those who wished me a preemptive birthday, and greater thanks to those who buzzed me on bam midnight to wish me it. *grin*

BIRTHDAY TOMORROW!!11

I think SL is giving me a headache. So you all SL players know, I'm working on an anthro horse avatar. So far I have to come up with 3 different colors, then I'm gonna throw a big release party for them in one of the furnation sims. When I'm finished, I'm gonna take a break from it and focus on other things.

I haven't written a chapter of literature for about a year now. and I think I'm getting my groove back. if I posted stories here, would y'all read and comment on it? I would imagine people like the yiffyiff art more since it's alot more simpler to take in, but people like the joy of reading words for imagination.

Tell me your thoughts.. :3

yay! after a while I just realized that my pageviews are approaching my first thousand. So I wonder who's gonna land it?

I don't quite know if I could actually reward the person who lands it artistically.. but just for a kick and giggle, screencap that thing eh? maybe I can like, make up a reward.. or something.. n.n

okay guys.. you all probabally noticed in my last journal that while a couple people requested to be drawn, I didn't choose anyone from said journal for the kirei drawing, but from another art-related site. Well if I can explain.. The biggest problem was that I expected people to the time to explain the details of their characters to be drawn when they posted. and I'm thinking that it was a little vague.

I'm gonna be checking this journal again to see if anyone wants to be drawn. At most if you desire to be drawn, at least reference yourself to any materials of your target character meant to be drawn, be it art or words. give me all the details you can. I'm edgy about getting people's details right. heck, if you MS paint the colors of your persona, I'm happy as long as it's accurate. If I have no idea what you look like, I could be looking at drawing you as a stickfigure or something.. I need details!

Secondly.. I'm horrible with taking specifics. My skills and brain still needs to adapt at being told what to do. so until I'm any better at art I'll be doing the plan I'm doing for now.

For the most part, keep an eye on my page. I will be offering open-ended situations and scenarios, and with rules if need be. for example, if I feel like drawing a male in a certain type of loincloth or a female in frilly pink undies and a t-shirt, then I'll require the person requesting to have the corresponding gender of their persona.

Next, no 101% guarantees. I like to sandbox things. if I DO end up drawing you.. you'll hear from me!

Since a picture had inspired me just a moment ago.. I think I'll try drawing an anthro female in frilly pink undies and a t-shirt. Any takers? And then if I ever draw Kirei again, I'll be looking for a rider for her. Any rider type, as long as they are small enough to easily ride. :P

couldn't find anyone I could find suitable for another person to ride Kirei in my next drawing, so I'll have to make up a person for this drawing. Maybe when I'm more popular/skilled on FA I might be better recognized.. but aye, I'm gonna have to make due..

You know... The more I browse around and the more I look at alot of my friends' identities, the more I see them get free art from wicked sick artists. I might sound like I'm complaining here, but these are my thoughts.

My previous persona was a pure navy blue western dragon. I somehow managed to get drawn several times as him.

But now that I moved to this completely new one, its seemingly impossible to get drawn now. The main reason why I want art of me so badly is so that people can know what I look like if they ever ask. That sort of thing. Because words never seem to do justice these days.

but ever since the persona sway half a year ago, the amount of art towards me I've managed to get my clutches on was nil. Alot of the people I peek on ended up getting incredibly talented artists do up full-drawings for themselves as free gifts. Alot of them get one or more by people they never even had direct social contact with.

So yeah I'll admit I complain about this alot.. it can even be told that it is trivial or materialistic, and that I should commission instead. But its easy for others to say that because they've gotten the free high-quality art I'm yakking about already.

I'm obviously doing something wrong if I'm not getting drawn anymore. I can't figure out what though. I do plan on commissioning some favourable artists in the future, but a) I need my persona's looks ensured b) I need to get some recognition for that to happen, and other reasons.

A bit of recognition would be nice too.. but I wouldn't know how to achieve that either.

yikes. hey guys, I'm gonna have to ration my words for now.. keyboarding is hard.. This is copypasta from my other entries.

I busted my elbow while taking my bath this morning. This is one dangerous tub, and I learned first hand @.@ I busted my arm against one of the wall tiles. It was freaky. At first I thought it was just a bruise so I kept rinsing my hair. then it felt awkwardly wet, not like water. I immediate thought "I hope that isn't blood.. so when I checked... it was blood. lots and lots of blood. By the time I got out of the shower to wrap up my wound with one towel, I already turned the washroom into a pseudo-murder scene because it wouldn't stop x.x

I can't tell if it was a cut or bludgeon, but the wound was wide open, and it bled enough to soak out two towels... and more! My arm was so sore that I had to get my sister to put my shirt on X3.

I could tell it was an open wound when it was finally drying off and checked it at the hospital. then I got it stitched.. about 4 ot 5.. I can't remember which.

It also hurt when they numbed out the arm. This was the first time I got stitched. They have to stick a numbing solution by sticking the needle into the freakin wound! argh! scary..

It was a very stingy, brutal feeling. but thankfully it numbed my arms pain a bit. It'll most likely return when it goes away.. so if I can't talk, this wound's responsible folks @.@

argh, I fail so hard at art sometimes.. sometimes I can't get one to draw me, so I try to draw myself.. but my art is horrible.

people here are pumping out quality pictures like almost every second day and it takes me relentless hours to finish just one. That discourages me. How my inking and coloring skills are so awful and the fact that it can be curbed with being taught properly seems to do it furthermore.

..I'm done bitching. >.<

Without any arrogance intended, I think I can think of a fetish few or nobody I know has.

A steed/riding fetish.

Thats right, I have a really huge affinity for creatures that I can ride on the back/neck of.

But theres a huge amount of emotional sentiment and propaganda has no use in my preferences. For example, if someone tried to appeal this fetish to me in a kinky way such as riding paraphanilia ((Saddles, reins, harnesses)) will not work on me or get to me at all. Truth be told, I've always had a problem with reins. They're sad for me to see to tell you the truth. Forcing a metal piece into something's mouth, guiding the creature around with it, ensnaring their muzzle, smothering their face... erf, I can't stand them. Saddles themselves are cool, some wouldn't want their asses to be sore in the morning, depending on what they ride.

But again on the emotional fulfillment, theres alot of two-to-tango to it. For example, my fetish doesn't apply to creatures like horses where they do not think and feel the way I normally would. I might try out riding an elephant/horse someday..

but the effect for me is further amplified when you can relate and share feelings with your steed companion. Does anyone remember Kirei the Raptor?

The idea of having a steed like her melts my heart. She's big, she has a lovely walk/run, she's smart, she thinks the way an anthro/human would, and wouldn't have the need for reins since she'd know where to go herself, or to take one out for a joyride.

There's something that makes me swoon about being able to go out on a joyride on the back of a welcoming creature like Kirei, where she would take someone out for a loving stroll in the middle of the night..

If only something like that existed in reality..

Size difference is a pretty neat thing, and I find it to be an awesome thing when non-yiffy ((At least publically in the ZOMBPENISPENSI sense.))and such.

I think I'm finally overcoming this freaking artblock. that was two drawings in the same week and one's near completion. Hopefully I can manage some sort of consistency and continue drawing again.

One day I hope to get good enough so I can pump out quality pictures for people and be able to give people much-needed profilistic drawings, for example. I really hope I can someday.

I just got the soundtrack for 300.
