Hard drive crashed. I may have lost everything.
Posted 14 years agoWell, this sucks. If I can't recover my files, this would be the third time I've lost everything from a crashed drive...
So what does this mean for you?
Well, I may have lost all my unfinished stories. I have probably 6 or 7 of them in all. Some of them I haven't touched in months due to lack of desire to write. Others I was trying to work on and had plans to finish. A few of them were almost done! That includes:
The next chapter of Dragon Ranch
A spin-off chapter of Dragon Ranch with M/M in it for a friend who likes fagdragons
The next chapter of The Persistent Dragon
The next chapter of A Dragon's Morning Respite (lol so many dragons)
The next chapter of Maya's Tail (go read chpt 1 if you haven't yet!)
Another M/M dragon story that I haven't touched in months cause I never feel like writing M/M :P
Another pokemon story with a Typhlosion
And other bits and bobs that I never got around to fleshing out. Shoot. If I can't recover those stories, I don't know what I'll do. Honestly, if it's gone for good, I'd doubt I'd get around to rewriting most of that stuff. Seriously, we're talking about pages upon pages of text, here. It's a lot. All my private fan art (the stuff I'm not allowed to post due to artist' personal wishes) would be gone too. :( And don't even get me started on the 80+ gigs of music I had....
I have experience in trying to recover hard drives that have been damaged or have crashed, so I know what I'm doing for the most part. The weirdest thing was that chkdsk didn't even detect any errors when it first started crashing. No bad sectors or anything despite the random crashes... that is odd. Even weirder, a virus scan detected nothing. It can't be from overheating because now it's so bad that the computer shuts off almost immediately after trying to turn it on. I still have a few things I can try to get my hard drive back, but it will take time... time and luck. I hope the drive is still readable!
Wish me luck.

Upcoming fan art for one of my stories.
Posted 14 years agoHey everyone!
m-p-l is going to be drawing some awesome fan art for my story, A Dragon's Morning Respite. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7161536
It's a story of a pair of mated dragons that was commissioned to me by
Narse for
Athus about a week or so before Athus passed away. I never got the story finished before the accident and it was hard to go back to it afterward, but I felt like it was my duty to finish the story and just recently I was able to finish the first half. :)
The story was tailored to fit all of Athus' personal kinks so it has things like size play, eggs, deep penetration, and stuff like that.
m-p-l is a huge fan of the story, and he liked it enough to want to draw some fan art for it. He's been really generous and gracious, and I'd like to thank him for the free art!
You can check out our WIP designs for the characters here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7178732/
And stay tuned for more!

Athus, I miss ya, buddy. I know you would have loved the story a lot. ~

I had the most amazing dream last night...
Posted 14 years agoOkay, just to preface things a little: I have kickass dreams. Like... I dream about awesome stuff all the time... like stuff in action movies: chase scenes, shoot-outs, flashy martial arts and sword fights, etc... I've also dreamt about being in some videogame world, like being in Metroid and exploring a desolate alien planet; or exploring some ancient, booby-trapped arabian ruins ala Prince of Persia. Hell, I had a dream once about Starcraft, and saw the Zerg up-close with my own eyes. I watched a Zergling jump on a Marine, shatter his helmet with its claws, then tear him to pieces through the hole. It was both greusome and awesome. I don't actually play videogames that much anymore, so it seems to be that videogames is just a common theme that my brain likes to dream about.
Not only that, but my brain seems to be incredible at putting together a seamless world and plot for my dreams. My dreams tell stories. Coherent stories. Its crazy, but I love it. My dreams... well, the good ones, they play out more like a movie than a dream. What I've written down, consider it a story in its own right, not a dream journal. Just read on and see for yourself if you're interested. (and if you're not interested, why the flippity flip are you reading this, then? GTFO :P)
_________
This dream, like many others of mine, had a fascinating world with lots of places to explore. I could build a novel out of the ideas behind the dream easily, if I had the motivation..... I've had many, many dreams like that exist on this scope of epicness, and I've written a lot down. Maybe if I get anyone interested in reading, I'll post more.
I dreamt of a truly cyperpunk world... a technological wasteland in a futuristic urban city. Apparently, I had just woken up out of some long coma because I was completely new to this world. The earliest point I remember, I was underground, walking around. I shuffled around an old, abandoned underground area that looked like construction had never finished. I came across a water and oxygen ration device built into the wall. Fresh water I could understand, but oxygen? I took it apart and began to examine the contents, curious as to how it worked. I accidentally let most of the pressurized oxygen escape from the storage tank. The walls of the rooms were basic plaster, there was equipment and scaffolding strewn around. Ever been in an unfurbished building still in the process of being constructed? Thats what the area looked like. I found an elevator. A cat lived in it, sleeping in the corner. A dirty homeless man, too. As I went to the surface he began to beg for money. 25 dollars, to be exact. It was to get "his friend out of jail". Like I was buying that excuse. He used strange slang terms for the cash I was unfamiliar with, and it took a while to figure out what he meant. I went to the surface, finding a run-down urban side street. apparently, elevators are all over the city and transfer you from the surface down to the expansive substructure below. The city was dirty, littered with trash and debris, covered in graffiti. The roads looked unused. People were everywhere, walking, looking hungry, lining up to get their water rations and oxygen rations from those mechanical devices I saw earlier. I learned that the oxygen scrubbers in the city frequently break down and people carry their own supply in case of these regular emergencies. There were also robots: androids, to be exact. I marveled at how sophisticated they were.... upright, on two legs, interacting with people, holding discussions... yet they were still clearly mechanical constructs.
I found an old alleyway. It led to some empty warehouse-type building. But the ground was dirt. There were some discarded guns just inside on the ground. There was an odd-looking futuristic pistol. Even odder, it had a bayonet built into the gun barrel. There were also a few fully automatic assault rifles that were equally odd-looking in design. I checked the magazines, and they were all empty, to my disappointment. It looked like a struggle had happened here, but I saw no bodies. Still, I pressed on, overpowered by curiosity. Further along, I fond a gate with a motion sensor beam hooked up in front of the open part. And also some obviously placed automatic gun turrets. Probably to keep out animals? Were there still animals around in this future to keep out? The guns were an ominous sign, but my sense of adventure kicked in. I sneaked past the turrets and slid under the beam. Then, I found a huge open room. I took a step and heard a quiet beep. A shiver ran up my spine as looked down and saw a tiny, almost wallet-sized device buried just under the dirt floor. A red flashing dot was barely visible under the dirt. Landmines! It was active, yet I was not close enough to set it off. I carefully retreated my step and saw with horror that the entire ground was covered in these tiny explosive charges from the faint glow of those red lights. There were more I knew I couldn't see. There had to be.
In the corner of the large room, I saw movement. It was a pair of sleeping dogs. No, wait.... I saw fur, but I also saw metal. They were canine robots! I called out to one nearest to me, thinking it would run into the mines and I could jump to the spot it would clear.
The dogbot had all the mannerisms of a real dog, except that it was far, far larger than any real dog and more like the size of a tiger. Its head looked real enough, and the contraption fake fur on its back, but part of its legs and body were exposed metal. It sat up and wagged its tail upon seeing me. I ordered it to come, hoping it would clear part of the floor. But to my surprise, it began to sniff along the ground and methodically found its way to me through a wildly zig-zag path.
To my surprise, I realized it could sense the electromagnetic field of the mines and was programmed to avoid them. It came to me and I pet it as if it were a real dog without thinking about it, and was surprised to seem that it enjoyed the physical touch. I saw a seam on its flanks, and I touched it, realizing it was a sliding panel. The dog appeared worried as I exposed its hidden control panel. I could not fathom how to adjust the settings though; there appeared to be no interface.
I closed the panel and ordered the dog to take me to the other end of the room. I followed its path exactly, traversing deeper into this seemingly abandoned complex.
When we got to the other side, I saw a wire fence with a locked door. Simple. I just climbed over it, leaving the robodog on the other side. Beyond that, I found long corridor, littered with abandoned construction equipment like cones, scaffolding, tool box cabinets, and other equipment. And I saw a fenced off area with huge "keep out" signs. But a light was on back there. And I saw another elevator shaft. The doors were open, and the shaft was empty. I took a step....
And something appeared behind that gate. I do not know what it was, and cannot describe its shape, aside from the fact it was hulking, ugly, and it floated out from the empty shaft. I knew that whatever it is, it wasn't friendly. The thing had a huge mouth full of teeth, and it opened wide to spew some green gunk at me. I dashed out of the way as it floated closer and ran. I had to get out. More of these things followed the first, some of different body shapes. I saw some creatures on four powerful-looking, insectoid legs and giant beating wings, with wicked, curved claws and pointed teeth. Neither type of creature seemed to want anything but having me dead.
I knew I was a goner if I didn't find an exit. I sprinted. I remember flying into the fence, my body colliding against it as I suddenly began to climb. My fingers hurt as they dug into the chain-links and I threw myself over the top and rolled to the ground. I looked back to see the floating monstrosity bash against the fence and slowly push it down with great strength.
I had to back track. It was the only way. But with these creatures behind me, I knew I couldn't take the time to follow the dog's slow, methodical path tracking through the mines. I had to make the trip myself. Remembering our twist and turns as best as I could, and using the few visible blinking mines as a visual reference, I took great jumps across the dirt. I hoped and prayed as I landed, thankfully finding myself still in one piece after the first jump. I continued on my way, taking huge leaps, scared out of my mind at making a mistake, but I made it safely to the other side. I knew the floating creatures would fare with the mines even better than I had, but the ones with legs were in for a surprise. Soon enough, I heard explosions behind me, and I knew that some of the creatures were no more. I looked back to see what remained of my pursurers...
.... and came face-to-face with the putrid, pulsing floating monstrosity that had been chasing me. I freaked and ran as it gnashed its teeth and lunged, missing me by inches. I sprinted forward, panting hard. I had to reach the exit! My lungs burned. My legs ached. I saw the gated entrance at last. The one with the motion sensor and the turrets. I took a leaping dive and skidded under the beam of the motion sensor. I thought I was safe.
But that's when I heard a beep. My heart sank in my chest when I heard that beep. I must have accidentally hit the beam! Immediately, I rolled to the side as I heard the whirr of the gun turret coming to life. Still on the ground, I scrambled on all fours behind the far side of the concrete ramp that the gate rested on. Bullets fired as I scampered on my hands and knees to get out of the line of sight of the turret. I felt a few hot, burning sensations appear on my back and legs just as I rushed to safety. I put a hand to my wounds, relieved to find that I was just grazed: I was bleeding, but it wasn't bad.
Just then, the hulking, floating monstrosities that followed me passed through the threshold of the gate. And at that moment, the turret became my very best friend. I could not see what happened, but the sound of the turrets firing left no doubt. The floating creatures bled out a viciously wretched stench when their skin was punctured. It must have been the gas that kept their bodies airborne. Or maybe it was just how their insides naturally smelled. Whatever it was, it was putrid. I wanted to retch.
I waited for many minutes, listening mechanical whirr of the turrets as it scanned the room repeatedly. Finally, the machines shut down once more, and I crawled from safety, my heart pounding and my clothes covered in dust and dirt. I now knew those turrets were there not to keep something out, but to keep something in. I was confused, lost, and had no idea what was going on in the world around me. But at least I was alive.
Not only that, but my brain seems to be incredible at putting together a seamless world and plot for my dreams. My dreams tell stories. Coherent stories. Its crazy, but I love it. New stories coming soon
Posted 14 years agoSo uh.... yeah, I got tired of seeing my last journal (or "yournal", if you wanna pronouce it with a soft "J"), seeing as it was about how bad I felt about Athus and I didn't like constantly reminding myself of that. So, I needed to put something new up real quick.
Yes, I did take a break after hearing about Athus' death... I was pretty shaken up and was unable to write but since then I've moved past grieving and have gotten back to work. Yay, or something. Anywho, I have three stories that are mostly done and one should be out this week! The story in question is a prequel to Xianyu's story: Apprentice. It's an awesomely hot human x dragon story, and I'm a big fan of it. Xianyu in general is also an inspiration to me and we share a lot of interests, so I am really excited to work on this for him! Go do me a favor and read chapter one! http://www.sofurry.com/?pid=228532 No seriously, go check it out if you like my writing... It has many, many things in common with what I write about. :P
Other stuffs:
~Gotta finish Athus' commission. >_> I couldn't touch this story for the longest time after hearing what happened, but I know I have to finish it. Its gonna be real good! This story was catered to Athus's preferences and so it was a really personal project for me and him. Its about a happily mated pair of dragons that have some sexy times. And stuff happens. What kind of stuff? You'll have to wait and see. I really enjoyed the dialog and characters in this story... they really drive the plot. (and by plot I mean gratuitious smex XD)
~Got a personal project for a friend that I'm keeping secret cause it's gonna be a surprise. Its close to being done.
~No one has expressed serious interest in wanting to commission or do a trade for a continuation of Dragon Ranch so it looks like I can finally go on with the last chapter and end the story. Whew! I wonder what's going to happen! Well, actually no I don't. I know exactly what's going to happen. ;)
~ I need to finish The Persistent Dragon some time. >_> Sorry, its been on hold since forever cause I have other projects to work on. This is why I keep telling people I'm open to have my current story series commissioned: because they'll never get done otherwise! XD
Man.... I got too many stories, not enough motivation to write them all out. >_> Its hard trying to belt this stuff out sometimes.... I wish I could get them all done quicker! Ah, oh well. I try.
Oh, and one more thing: Happy Halloween, you people. Go eat a pound of candy for me. Or something.

Athus Nadorian aka Brian Dyer has passed away
Posted 14 years agoYou probably have already read the news.... It's on Narse's journal. You can go there to read more if you haven't seen it yet: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/2813220/
Athus was a talented artist, 3D modeler, and one of the owners of Bad Dragon, among many other things.
Now.... I was a friend of Athus. I met him through Narse, as the two have been in a relationship for over five years. We talked quite a few times. I am truely shocked at this news and am at a loss for words right now.
I was working on a very personal story for him. This was the un-nammed commission I listed in my last journal. I've already put probably 60-70 hours worth of work into this story already, and I spent long hours getting to know Athus so I could tailor the story to be something that he'd deeply enjoy. It was going to be a surprise gift between me and Narse. Athus never even knew about it. I never even got to finish it....
I feel so bad. I know it sounds ridiculous but I but im just so full of guilt right now.... because I feel like I could have had the story done already if I had really applied myself. I was really looking forward to seeing how excited Athus would get, as he loved my writing already. And I couldn't wait to hear his thoughts on the story after he would read it.
But now he's gone....
I feel so bad right now. I know that Narse, and all the close friends and family of Athus must be mourning too...
Holy crap, I have so many projects coming up
Posted 14 years agoSeriously.... I am suddenly very busy in the story department.
~First off, I have that next chapter of Dragon Ranch to finish. I wanted to get that out soon cause its been so long since the last chapter. Its got some awesome stuff with Nixi in it. Status: mostly done.
~I have the next chapter of Maya's Tail to finish. (to everyone who read it: THANK YOU) I need to get this done before I finally get my companion art for the story... its gonna be awesome. Status: half done.
~I have a commission about two dragons with some odd fetish stuff in it No, I'm not into the fetish in question, and don't worry: I'll make the sex enjoyable for people who also aren't into that as well. The story is shaping up and the characters are really likable so far. Status: one third done
~I have another commission to ghost write a prequel for the very awesome Xianyu and his story: Apprentice! http://www.sofurry.com/?pid=228532 He is a freakin awesome author! I am a huge fan of this story as it's content is right up my alley, and I'm excited to work on it. Status: Just started
Also, I have been going through my old stories and reading them again, and realizing that there's some writing not up to my current standards. I have been ninja-updating them, silently and without telling anyone. >_> There's no new content or anything, just a lot of re-worded sentences and dialog to make things less awkward or weakly written. I'm doing this cause I am a total perfectionist, by the way. I just started this little project, and have quite a few stories to improve. I finished two of them so far...

So there you have it. A metric crap-load of stories due very quickly! I have my work cut out for me.... I feel like all of the sudden, writing has become a full-time job. XD I'm kinda pumped about the future work I have set out for me... and hopefully I wont get burned out along the way. Wish me luck!
Oh and, um... I really don't have anywhere else to put this, but I really want to thank anyone who has ever read a story of mine. Really, I am always honored when I hear that people enjoy what I write... even if what I write is just... >_> you know... cookie-cutter pr0n with practically no redeemable plot. <__<

A big thanks to everyone!
Posted 14 years agoFirst off, I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone who stopped by after discovering me through Narse's art!
Whew! Looks like I survived the deluge of favorites and watches that came with Narse's little plug. :) I know the majority of people were just here to check out his art, but if you were one of the few who listened to Narse's recommendation and read a story of mine, I hope you walked away impressed with what you found. ;)
(If you knew of me before Narse uploaded my art, go and put your hipster glasses now... you'll need them.)
The rush of new readers has been small, but I am very grateful for it nonetheless. It's been really disheartening to see the majority of the fandom give no respect or interest to authors, especially when I believe that great writing can just as enjoyable, if not more, than great art. Many times, I spend 100+ hours writing a story only to find it's only gotten a few views and received no feedback. It's quite frustrating to put so much effort into something that does not get noticed, and that is why I am so grateful to have such a well known artist like Narse who is willing to draw for me and support my work.
If you didn't know, the picture that Narse drew is actually part of an art trade with me. I wrote him the story "Grooming Time" (http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6145303/) which is M/M: human on dragon, with rimming, anal, and oral. In return, Narse is drawing me art of the Dragon Ranch dragons. He still has a few more pictures to draw, so you can expect more Narse art of my characters in the future. He is unfortunately always busy and I can give no timeline as to when he will finish another drawing.
______
Now, as for my stories... I'd like to give people an update on the progress of things real quick. I struggle with a lot motivation problems while writing... which makes it hard for me to get stuff done. However, getting commissioned encourages me because I am more obligated to write if I am being paid for it! XD Also, support from fans helps to encourage me as well. :)
Current project: An original story of a man and an intelligent feral of some kind. I don't want to give details but it will be similar to The Persistent Dragon in terms of content, style, and humor. There will be lots of smut and humor. :P After that: Commission for a sequel to The Wildlands. (not paid yet). I may re-work chapter one first, as my writing skills have improved since publishing that story. Also to note: Dragon Ranch is currently on hiatus. Plot is already planned out. The Persistent Dragon is also on hiatus. Plot has been planned out.
If you are interested in seeing a sequel for ANY of my stories, I take commissions or trades to write them. Send me a private message if you want to know more.
Working with me is the best way to see what you want: With a lot of project ideas, it's unlikely I work on sequels too often. Also, I do not write M/M unless it is for a commission! Writing stories is a very long process, which can take up to several weeks. As I said, I struggle with motivation and many times I do not feel like writing, so taking only one commission at a time seems like the best option for now. I put all commission offers in a waiting list and when I am free, I check back with customers to see if they are still interested. :)
Thanks for stopping by once again.

I finally found my Fursona! Also, I now have skype.
Posted 14 years agoOkay, so if you have talked to me before, you might have known that I don't like to RP. I think its silly and creepy, so I don't do it. I also don't have a fursona, because I think fursonas are creepy and I like being my normal, dead sexy (yes, ladies, you read that right) self.
... But that's what I thought until I fond the ONE fursona that completely describes my true, inner self, and perfectly expresses who I really am! :o
So.... My fursona is an eager, horny feral desk chair, just waiting to be pleasured. I have been carved from rich, imported Brazillian mahogany and was unfortunately assembled in China... those cheap, out-sourcing American bastards! I have three hard, stiff cawks along with my chair legs, which are also cawks. You ain't seen morning wood until you get a load of these babies! My varnish is a traditional cherry-applewood finish... very pleasing to the eye. I have a very soft and yielding seat cushion made of baby seal fur, black velvet, and children's tears. It is firm, but oooooh so supple. And to top it all off, I have sliders on my feet, so I can be moved around the bedroom carpeting, if you know what I mean! I am available for RP and am looking for a sexy, sexy loveseat to find as my mate. <3 <3 <3
I feel like this is who I truly am... what perfectly describes me. My only problem is that I am a desk chair born in a human's body. :(
And since I've been using skype to talk to my clients (giggity) a lot, I figure I'll just go and make it public here in case any of you peeps (mmm, marshmallow peeps) wanna talk for a bit. My name on skype is "ausfer.lol.wut" You could probably just search for Ausfer. Oh, and by clients, I mean "people who are commissioning me or otherwise working with me on a collaboration". :P You'll miss out on the profile pic of me dressed in a sharp looking suit, looking dead-sexy and completely awesome, though. I got tired of people asking if that was really me. XD I changed it to something a bit more.... familiar....
Also, Im sorry for not uploading more of my stories here.... I just hate reformatting them just so they'll properly show italics. >__> My stories tend to mosy over here on this site when I feel like it, and I haven't felt like recently. XD But I promise I'll stop slacking off and post 'em soon.
They always go up on on Sofurry first. My name is Ausfer over there.

Sooo... I will be working on a story/art trade with Narse
Posted 14 years agoNarse. Freakin' Narse. NARSE is working with me on a trade!
So, basically, Narse and I have discovered a mutual, deep-seated excitement on the idea of getting art/stories from each other. We talked for a bit, realized that both of us were trying hard not to gush too much about each other's works, and then sat down and ironed out some details. So what's going to be happening? Well.... I'll tell ya! :D
I will be writing a story for Narse that is a continuation of Ethan's little amorous adventures, as a side story for the Dragon Ranch series. The story will be M/M, human-on-dragon between Ethan and Kobal (that would be the dragon :P), and contain gratuitous scenes of the human using his tongue and "going to town" (his words :P) on certain dragon orifices. I'll give you two guesses as to which ones. Hint: It ain't the nostrils
In return, Narse will be drawing up arts of Kobal, and another character from Dragon Ranch... Nixi (:D). He will be drawing up character refrernece sheets of both dragons. I don't know how much will be in these ref sheets (we did not have time to work out the details yet) but I DO know its Narse so no matter what, It's gonna be awesome. We will get back togher and iron more details out tomorrow.
In other news... I have a transformation story coming up, if you didn't see that already from my last journal (the ones on Sofurry). And I WAS gonna try and work on another chapter to The Persistent Dragon, too, but with this Narse request I'm gonna have to delay that further. Shoot. Oh, but I will get to The Persistent Dragon eventually, cause I will be getting arts of those characters as well...
tl;dr
IM GETTING NARSE ARTS!!! :D :D :D :D
Thanks so much, Narse... you're ten thousand shades of awesome.
