So...I've run into a little bit of an issue, and while I'll usually do whatever it takes to solve things myself, this one...I just can't do without help. The air conditioning on my car is shot, and in order to fix it, I'll need a brand new compressor. D: The part itself costs $800, and I can only imagine how much more the labor to put it in might cost. To say the least, while I CAN afford it, it'd financially put me in a place that'd leave me very....VERY...worried. But I need my air conditioning. I don't do all that well in the heat and it tends to give me some really nasty headaches. >< So, if you'd like to help out, I'm taking donations that will go towards getting some art! I haven't forgotten about you guys. :) Just to let you all know I'm on a bit of a commission hiatus because i have a few things with looming deadlines that need to be done ASAP, and with people getting sick a lot at my job lately, I've been getting called in to cover more often than not. ...with the fact that while I would rather be judged as an individual, people often judge by whom you associate with. That being said, MANY of the events panning out over recent years on FA have been incredibly discouraging, and there are only more being added to that list.

No, I am not leaving FA entirely, but I do NOT in any way stand in support of its staff and the choices they have made in recent days, years, etc. I've heard plenty of things from plenty of reliable sources, and there are multiple accounts of things the staff has done that I don't agree with. I don't need to list the points.

So with that being said, I am going to be spending the majority of my time, effort, and hard work updating, doing business, and keeping track of my Weasyl account. I'm not abandoning this place, but I've felt uncomfortable associating with it for a good while now...it's time for change.

...so I've been feeling this increasing need to really do...more with my work. I don't have as much time as I'd like anymore to dedicate to art, but I kinda want that time to be used more wisely in bettering myself. I really want to do more full pieces with background and ambient lighting and all out craziness with detail and color. I REALLY miss doing stuff like that, and I feel like my work is stagnant because of it. I think...once I finish up commissions and trades, I need to spend more time really delving into my art and pushing to do more, to get better.

I'm sure other artists feel this way sometimes, too. I definitely feel like I've hit a wall and need to climb it. And this is mainly due to time (and energy) constraints. I want to focus on greater things, and I hope I can achieve those goals. Stagnation in art just suuuucks. XD

...of Sept. 11, yes. And while I am not normally one to write about things like this (as the media hypes it up plenty enough) I'm more intrigued and thoughtful about the fact that in many years to come the generations after us won't think much about this day. It'll be a thing they read about in their history books, a day that they'll be taught about and the significance of how it changed our own history in the coming years. But eventually it won't be as "celebrated", for lack of a better word, as it is now because no one alive will have remembered it. It makes me think what those who went through the World Wars, or Titanic, or other such major historical landmarks may have felt as their generations passed from this world into the next. Did they feel like the generations after would forget the importance and impact of those events they lived through? Certainly memorials are very nice things, and remembrance of family members who passed on their stories does help some of that memory linger.

But I guess my point in writing this is that I hope future generations take the knowledge of these tragic events, of what caused them, and try to make the world better with it. Sometimes it really feels like we never learn from the past. Humankind could do so many amazing things if we stopped focusing on our differences and instead worked to better ourselves and the world we live in. Well, one can dream.

Because I'm learning to create in paint tool SAI, and want more practice! I made a simple little ref sheet to show what I'm offering...$10 will basically get you a sketch, but if you'd like a little color in your life I will ink and color it for $10 more. :) I can do coloring styles suited to the show/movie, or do something a little more painterly! ...just to update you all on what's being worked on! Foxjump's coyote commission is almost complete. She has ink and I just want to add a few more little details! I am also working on the taur threesome and Salem's ref sheet. These are just my primary projects right now. For clarity, no, I am not LEAVING THE INTERNETS FOREVARRR...just thinking about doing more work for me, or looking at other topics and venues for my stuff.

...so, I've been a bit quiet lately, and will continue to be as a lot has been going on! bUt firstly I wanted to say Bronycon was absolutely amazing. I had so much fun for the one day I was there, and I am going to try to deal there next year. :) The atmosphere there, as opposed to furry cons, just felt a lot more positive and more fun...I can only hope that it always stays that way!

Also, I have a lot of art projects on the table right now and things to finish. I have not forgotten any of you. ;) I hope you can all forgive me for bouncing around a bit in my work pattern.

That said, my priority has been this lion folio that I am in the process of finishing. While I make it a point to keep my gallery mostly clean, and it will continue to be so, it's gonna be flooded soon with a whole bunch of adult M/M lion art...so there's some fair warning. XD All of the originals of those pieces will be included in my lion folio, which is gonna be for auction right here on FA! As soon as the auction is finished, all said lion artwork will be removed from my gallery. Also, all of this artwork is going to be watermarked. I swear nobody better bitch to me about this. I have had a good deal of my adult artwork colored and used on other sites without permission. As such, in the future most of this work will be watermarked because I'm tired of others taking my art and using it without asking me first.

But yeah, keep your eye out for the folio should you be interested in bidding on it! It's gonna be a one of a kind thing not often seen from me. :) Then I'll probably delve into more pony art...MWAHAHA! XD

...I'm excited as I actually get to go! I have to work however so I'll only be there on Saturday, but hopefully I'll get to run into a few of you that I know are going!!! :)
