Well I can't believe I finished Super Mario RPG so fast, but I did grind it fairly mercilessly in between my horrible, horrible shifts this week. The game does seem decently big for the system it came out for however. That and I don't think I'm entirely finished either. I have yet to find or be able to get into a few things the game has hinted about.

I found Mario to be a decent character. He filled the position of hard hitting damage soaking guy, except his actual hp was a bit on the low side, so his hp would plummet if an enemy did manage to piece his defenses. His specials were ok, but often didn't outperform just slamming enemies with his basic attacks. The way you could spam fireballs and jumps was kind of fun though.

Mallow I have mixed feeling about. On one hand he was my party's healer for the entire game. His one and only heal only heals a single target and generally for enough to fill their hp all the way up. Toward the end I was occasionally having to juggle in a max mushroom, and there were points the party heals of froggie colas were needed, but overall the game didn't feel too heal intensive. Part of this might be that I became somewhat good at timing my defensive reactions as attacks were landing. Mallow was also by far the best character for effecting area damage. Lightning was doing more than the high cost final specials of other characters most of the time, for only two flower points. His later specials really lacked enough bang for their buck...unfortunately.

Geno was fairly useful to me for the whole game. His main importance is that he has Geno Boost, which was already making Mario hit even more absurdly hard than he already was, but it was then also going on both himself and Mallow, and towards the end of the game they were both as a result able to hit rather hard as well! I don't really like any of Geno's other specials. They're expensive and don't really do much damage. There were times I used them to maximize the damage I dealt to enemies in an area as fast as possible, but it only saw use in those forced situations.

Bowser got no use from me after a brief stint in Booster Tower. His specials then sucked and he basically only slapped things hard. But the thing is he didn't offer heavy aoe and healing like Mallow, or the overpowered Geno Boost from Geno. In short, whatever pluses he might offer are ruined because of what you'd have to lose. Now if only you could remove Mario from the active party Bowser might have had a use...

Toadstool never saw a single battle at all. By the time she joined my party I already had my pattern down so well I didn't even want to interrupt it to use her. Having her in the party would have required me to sacrifice a ton of damage by that point because the current configuration allowed me to just hammer it out and beat the hell out of bosses before they could really cause too much trouble. I made the later parts of the game fairly more difficult than they needed to be since I often was unable to cure afflictions(damn you mushroom!) or revive people during fights with heavy instant death abuse. The lack of a party heal was also very harsh, but I was able to outskill it just barely.

I think the majority of the game was too easy to be honest. I really never took any damage until bosses, and even then many of them got blown over too. I was able to keep charging forward for basically the entire game slamming through things with my max damage setup. We're talking having Mario hitting the final boss in the 500s and Geno hitting it in the 400s, and Mallow hitting in the 2-300s the very rare times he wasn't healing someone. I only got 2 game overs in the entire game, and both were on some clock boss in the final dungeon you needed to kill specific parts first on, as well as have a fair bit of luck. It happened to be an abuser of instant death and one of the failed attempts its 2/3 turns that could use the death move did use it. But my damage was again so high that the attempt I won I took it down without my healer even alive for half the fight!

The game got a bit trivialized once I had the frog coins to buy the double exp accessory. I threw it on Mario until he was lv 29, then swapped it to Geno to make him level up faster with his lower level up totals. So I figured out the level cap was 30 a while later when Mario leveled. My final party for Smithy was Mario at level 30, Mallow at level 25, and Geno at level 26. I have to say it was one of the hardest fights I have ever won in a game. The only things that have outclassed it are some of the fights against secret summons in Golden Sun 2, and perhaps some fights in FFXII. Part of what made it hard for me was the fact I had at best 1 magical heal a turn, only 3 party status clear items, only 2 revive items, and only so many max mushrooms to get me out of tight spots. It was a miracle nobody died during that fight but it got really close over and over the entire fight. Even with my max damage setup this guy took an eternity of pounding with all of his stages and diversionary targets.

I fear to think how bad fighting Jinx a 3rd time is going to be with my inability to deal with instant death effects after everything I dealt with in the Factory. There's also still a temple key I got in Monstertown I don't know what to do with, as well as a sealed door in Monstertown I don't know how to enter. I know there's a casino of sorts in Booster Tower to check out, and I haven't really figured out how the Yoshi racing works yet. I have yet to really try to figure out what the melody bay is for but at least one area of the game definitely played me a tune that I expect I am supposed to replicate there for toadofsky.

There are some things I feel should be complained about too. I think the game's music selection was a bit small. It got a little old hearing the same battle music the entire game pretty much. I really think the Axem Rangers should have gotten more spotlight than they did too. They deserved a more epic party in the storyline and should have been much harder to defeat. At the least you could have gotten to battle through the entirety of their ship. Something that was very sorely needed was in in battle ability to party swap. Or failing that, the ability to swap out Mario for someone more useful for smashing enemies into a pulp(Bowser). A thing that annoyed me the whole game was the coin limit. You very early realize the max is 999, and it sometimes doesn't leave you enough excess to work with as you'd like to. The inventory at shops needed a way to see the stats of the weapons and armors, if there is a way to do it I never did see what it was, and there were a few times I wasted gold on unneeded armor and weapons.

One thing really different abut this game was all of the various events that take place throughout the game, many requiring thinking or quick reflexes to come out of top. You don't see a lot of that in this sort of game these days and it was refreshing.

I rather enjoyed all the references I encountered throughout the game. I rested in one inn and found Link in the bed next to mine the next morning. In Booster Tower I went behind a curtain and came out turned into 8 bit Mario for a while. One of the game's enemies is a 'kong' and there are octorock referencing enemies as well. Inside the volcano's shop I saw some F-Zero racers on top of some boxes, and the 3rd item was either another racer or actually an Arwing. There were probably more references as well that I have forgotten.

Super Mario RPG is definitely a game worth playing if you haven't yet, it has given me pause to consider if I should perhaps have not overlooked many of the others Mario games that have come out(with the exception of Mario Party, that can stay far, far away from me).

Super Mario RPG - ZOMG! I have a level 5 Mario and a cloud for a sidekick holy crap! And there's equipment...I have a feeling this game is going to entertain me for a while! :O

In other news I'll be posting up an image at some point, two if I'm really adventurous. It kind of depends how much work kills me this coming week. Will try to dabble at writing some more as well.

Oh yes, in another person's journal today they were looking for random pokemon sketch suggestions, and my suggestion of houndoom and absol playing together caught their interest. If that gets drawn it's going to be so cute. XD

If you own your house, your land, and your car, then how come for as long as you own it you pay a tax on it, and if you don't pay the tax or die heirless and the tax doesn't get paid the government takes it for their own. Who really owns it hmmm?

Why is it if I go into a building and shoot 10 people I get charged for each one, but if I kill ten dogs in a dogfighting operation I only get one actual charge for each illegal thing even though there were ten dogs?

Why is it people with mental problems get taken care of, but animals with mental problems because of their owner's abuses get euthanized? Shouldn't the owner have to pay 'animal support' for the rest of its life and not get off the hook easier for their abuses?

Offshore oil exploration in the USA won't do anything to lower energy prices or dependence, a number of companies just see an opportunity to rake in billions and want to try to use the current political climate to gain it. If the government had any sense they're think like the Arab states and make the oil here government run so they had a nice fat revenue stream to close the gaping hole in the budget. Or maybe they'd save it until oil is running out elsewhere. Or in a perfect world they'd realize it will ultimately run out anyway and leave it alone.

Cap and trade: A company with enough money could potentially buy so many carbon credits from other companies with extra the area they manufactured in could be a blackened wasteland from all the smoke and they'd be perfectly fine thanks to their credits. Why should companies be allowed to make exceeding their carbon cap legal?

Why is there wetlands mitigation but not forest mitigation. What makes the wetland more important than forests? Usually it's forest being turned into a pretend wetland mudpit. I'd like to see businesses restoring unused areas to their natural state to make up for cutting trees down.

GOVERNMENT POPULATION CONTROL POLICY: IT'S NOT A PROBLEM UNTIL IT'S MORE OF A PROBLEM THAN KEEPING THE SOCIAL SECURITY PYRAMID SCHEME GOING.

There need to be more parks where animals are actually allowed to live that aren't simply made for people to make use of and can actually support wildlife. As opposed to, you know, darting anything remotely scary and carting it off elsewhere.

I had a dream where everyone was publicly renouncing political parties in some kind of massive awakening. It was so awesome. Usually i'm just dreaming about wandering around random places doing absolutely nothing of interest.

Do you ever worry what some people will see if they happen to examine your page after you favorite or comment in their gallery when it's not content they could possibly like? Or when they decide to watch you possibly just for the aforementioned reasons?

Okay I'm done. I forget most of these things when I think of them at work unfortunately.

There is a pretty good chance that I have caught The Plague ™, also known as H!N!, $wine Flu, Montezuma's Second Revenge, and the Plague of Cthulu in some circles. I have my mother to thank and the fact she works in one of the greatest cesspools of filth to be found in the country: the elementary schools. An easily ignored urge to cough lasted a few days and now has expanded to a much larger urge to cough, a kinda sore throat, and magical muscle aches that make most any position rather uncomfortable, including lying down. So yeah, if I'm not overly responsive for the next few days, it's only because half the muscles in my body are having nerd rage.

I feel it's time for some plugging for a few users who deserve some of your attention for their works involving hyenas! I'm not going to be linking to the popular people who everyone already knows about however. I'm going to link to a few I don't expect most of you to know about...yet.


Hyenakay is pretty recent and she has already posted a good amount of hyena art. As a plus, a lot of it is pretty cute or funny!


Aruhs is a very new arrival to FA. His art is absolutely spectacular. We could be looking at a new Blotch or Heather Bruton in the making in this user.


Lord-La-Dos has been here for a while already, but I thought I'd draw attention to his Gnoll King series he recently posted. While it's not the most spectacular literature, it's got gnolls and vore, two subjects I happen to have a huge bias for. ;)


Wolvengamer's a vore writer like myself, and I think he should have far more attention than he does so far. His writing is good and entertaining in every piece! Unfortunately there's not much involving his half hyena, half lion self, but it's in there. I would suggest his Bandit the Unlucky Lemur stories too however. :)


Wildside's a recent addition here on FA and is already showing some vorish tendencies. He's a half hyena, half wolf that happens to have a demonic side. His beginnings are already outlined in one of his stories, and he looks to be planning on writing some vore works in the future. Certainly worth keeping an eye on.


Onyx Tao's been around for quite a while, and deserved volumes more attention than he has gotten so far for his work. The guy makes my writing look amateur! Onyx earns a spot because of a particularly inspirational story called 'Fox Out of Water', involving a quite unique hyena Shaman. He's such a good writer it couldn't hurt to check out all his other wonderous work either, he's quite the storyteller and a precious few even contain vore.


Coyote has been on FA for a long time with not nearly enough attention. It's a pity he's stopped producing writing, considering his quite apparent gift for the art of writing. While I'd fully suggest your perusal of all of his superior work, the spotlight(haha get it, spotlight? Hyenas and spots?! *bricked*) is on his 'Farren's Fixers' series. There's a very interesting hyena fellow who comes into the story a few chapters in!

When all else fails, Diablo II has just always been something I can sit down and enjoy every time. I don't know how it manages to never get boring, but suspect it has to do with the plethora of variable stat items that can drop randomly. I started like my 5th paladin. I always have to play a zealer.

I decided to do things a little differently this time though. By the time I was fighting Andariel in Act I I was lv 14 and have 40%ish magic find in my gear. I fought her over and over until I was lv 18 and had a few yellow quality items that had dropped in that time. I feel like uniques are unable to drop in Act I of Normal Mode actually.

So after I went to Lut Gholein in Act 2 I immediately went crunching through the skeleton hordes in the sewers for Radamnet's Lair, MF gear still on and with a new merc to provide Defiance Aura. Radament went down pretty fast and BAM! Nokozan Relic amulet drop. The amulet gives like 50% fire resist and +10% to max fire resist. The poor Demon Lords and Diablo himself are going to hardly be able to hurt me wearing that because of just those two bonuses. The other stats were pretty bleh.

Slapping my way through the Dry Wastes one of the cat enemies dropped a unique axe! It had +4 mana per kill and hit blind enemies. With this equipped, even with my tiny mana pool I can zeal to my heart's content, and enemies that live won't be able to see me!

Then on the 2nd floor of the tomb with the Horadric Cube a skeleton dropped a unique saber! It had 15% life drain on hit! I don't think I need to explain how brokenly good 15% life drain is going to be in a Normal Mode game. o_0

Combine these two weapons in the weapon set swap and you have a recipe for boss rape. Zeal with the axe and if your hp gets low zeal with the saber to rapidly refill your hp. And this is with a total of 52% MF! I'm having too much fun with this. XD

I have actually finished something. It's not named yet though so perhaps I'm speaking ahead.

But anyway I have a ready for final edits chapter 1 of...something yet to be named by  kuntos and I. 23 pages, so a nice size for an opener. I'll also need to make an icon for it and make a list of tags and think up my submission comment for it, but heck yeah the RP part is done!

Oh also, just because I feel obligated to mention it...

I did a set of 250 curlups in one go today somehow. Then I remembered that back in ye olde days of pokemon there were 251 of them, so I did one more(I was playing Ruby on an emulater last week go away >.>). Then later I did another 100 in one go. Weird thing is I'm not even sore; was tired as hell though after the first giant set. I had no idea you could get that hot from doing curlups and my heart rate was probably a little under 180 a minute rofl. But believe it or not, I'm still just skinny looking despite keeping up a workout thing for the last perhaps 2 or 3 months. It's pretty weird because when I tend to do 300-400 curlups a day you'd think something would have changed by now. I probably don't eat enough though, so that might be why. XD

So I was browsing through my folder of complete collaboration stories for a few hours rereading everything and noticed something. I never uploaded part 3 of one of my collaborations with  MitchKenzo

How I managed to do this is completely beyond me; the thing was probably completed in November or December of 2008! I normally post things like the second final editing is done so this just confuses me. 0-<

So probably by the end of today I'll have an icon ready, a name thought up, and part 3 of the Instinct and Pleasure series posted into my gallery for more Remali Hunter goodness.

Now normally, I like to think I'm not a car kinda guy. I would gladly invest thousands, if given the chance, into my own computer rather than into my car. Auto magazines don't even make me twitch an eyebrow and Nascar appears to be even more boring than bowling.

But then this had to go and park in the front row at work and immediately distract me beyond hope for as long as it was parked there. The only things is appears to lacks are machine guns and missile launchers! It's like a motorcycle mated with an ATV and the twisted child that resulted took steroids.

It says there's more changes coming in September. Here's to hoping the anti flood rules address rampant photograph posting of the same person in a slightly different pose or the same pets doing nothing over and over and over. And unending SL screenshots. I mean honestly I had to clear my watchlist out of a few people very seriously guilty of this despite liking their art.. It's one thing to put up a few select quality shots of yourself or your kitties or your SL happenings but getting 5-10 a week on a regualar basis in my submission list is just redundant and also a waste of my time and of FA resources.

As a sidenote in order to keep compliant with this rule I have removed 6 images from my scraps gallery. While I could argue the screenshots made far more effort to be unique and interesting than a large percentage of the photographs and screenshots flooding this site a rule is a rule and I have to follow it even if I find myself in disagreement with it.

Ok seriously... I keep entering contests for the hell of it... and I KEEP WINNING. o_0

Sure sure, the ones involving screencaps I have a better chance if I'm diligent, but I've also won an unusually high ratio of random luck contests for art as well.

I'm just so grateful to these people that I watch for being so generous as to offer these contests. They all put a lot of effort into their work and some of them even make quite a bit of money off of commissions yet they are still giving individuals.

It often makes me wish I could offer contests of some sort to reward my watchers, but I simply can't draw, and even if my writing skills are superb, it's been several months since I could even bring myself to write anything due to my emotional state(this is not something I am going to talk about here, but one of my previous journals had some things in it that have something to do with it). I certainly hope there is a time in the future I can be a writer again, but life is a complicated thing that more often than not has caused me distress at things I cannot hope to change but morally cannot accept.

But that's not what this journal is about. I'd like to give a huge THANK YOU to everyone that hosts contests. You people are awesome, you make FA exciting, and you give gifts to others which more often than not they would never have had otherwise. You rock. :)

Now that I have free time I'm going to try to get things I owe/put on hold with others worked on and done! At least once I'm not sick, but that hopefully can't be too much longer. o_0

I feel like chilling out until I'm better, so I'll probably be popping onto Second Life under the name Avereth Ireto to build things on Pony Island or see what's going on at SLVC.

Sorry there hasn't been really anything new from me in ages everyone, life just won't let me enjoy things like I used to have time to anymore, at least for a few weeks longer. College, work, life's little problems-it's all keeping me too busy to get on messenger, keep up very much with FA even for something like commenting, or reading journals. I very much miss roleplaying, talking about all kinds of things, writing more of my own works, and even drawing. If I've missed anything important recently I sincerely apologize, I hate coming upon journals I would have had something to say on but missed way back. I also apologize for not giving any comments on a lot of things I've favorited recently or given any shouts when I watch someone. As of now I have:

1196 submissions to peek at, at the very least 200-250 of which are stories to read and comment on
271 journals
27 comments that need to be verified as already having been replied to before deletion

The oldest submissions are around 5 months old. Blast it FA! Stop being so awesome so I can catch up! I'm finding too many of you relevent to my very particular interests to keep up with! X333

Thanks for being patient with me watchers, I want to give you more things to look at when I can, whether more kinky vore stories or bleh level pencil art I force myself to do occasionally.

Now a few words for a few of those here who have come to know me closer than a lot of you watching me(though if you are reading this journal I do still thank you very much, even if you miss it by weeks)

I'm feeling awfully guilty about a number of things guys, you know who you are probably. I've shared some truly amazing RP experiences with all of you and had a blast working on them and making them as good as most any story with the exception of a few writers on FA who truly humble me with their mastery of literary skill. To me, there is no thing so special as creating an interesting, potentially deep plotted story with lifelike characters and real emotions and plot, and share in that with another person, developing close bonds of friendship and trust in the process.

And I've left all of you hanging, stories frozen in place, some for quite a while now, as I try to get life in order. It's something that is on my thoughts often, because I can't imagine the frustration that must build inside getting to have so much fun together exploring one anothers interest and bounds and then suddenly having it stop, the story yet unfinished. I sincerely do apologize for the weeks and even months some of you have endured.

I have not forgotten, and I have not called it quits by any means. There are still unfinished tales to be told and experiences to be had, and no matter what, I will someday get back to every one of you on a serious 'let's get this done and have a hell of a time doing it!' attitude. I get to experience feelings and emotions that never leave my closed shell in real life with you guys, and that means a lot to me as a lonely asexual who will never have someone to be emotionally close with in life. All those pages of work that are around probably 8-20+ already will eventually reach their closing words and then be put online for others to enjoy too, I promise that.

Such is the least I want to do for that patience, as well as because you're one of my favorite artists to the point where I never in a million years expected the offer you made to me and how much of a compliment that was to me. You're so laid back and friendly to talk with and that's nice too, and I know there's no worry of begging for requests between either of us which is nice. :)

There is something I have considered though that might interest you which I would enjoy doing simply for the satisfaction of making others enjoy your vore art even more. As much of it as I've saved while looking at the shading and anatomy with awe I want to give something back. :P When I look at a lot of it and see very little description of what's going on I start thinking about it myself, imagining simple backstories of what's going on, things the characters might be saying, or feeling, or doing before and after the image.

If you're interested then I'm basically offering to think up enticing scenario descriptions on some of your vore art. I always get all wrapped up in epic sized stories, but these would be short and to the point unlike my stories and would be good practice for me. And maybe they would help you gain more potential as a writer-that would be wonderful to see as it is so rare for one to be both an accomplished writer and artist at the same time. Do think it over; I wouldn't be offended if you decline, nor would I expect you to necessarily even post any description that I wrote, or to approve of any that I wrote without suggesting corrective changes, or telling me things that needed to be contained in it beforehand because you wanted them included.


My batty friend, it seems as if I've gone and flown the coop doesn't it? I'm not avoiding you at all moreso than the overall online temptations all around me. Well it seems lately you've been pretty busy too, funny thing how so many things between us mirror one another like that, just make sure you don't get cancer or lose a leg or something as I will not appreciate the magical internet link we seem to share like I do when we both crack a joke about the same thing at the same time or think up the same terrible reference at once or decide to RP at the same time. ;3

I know I haven't really gotten to it yet(seeing as I have 200-250 stories in my submission list) but I'm going to jump the gun and tell you right here I am so grateful for your inclusion of my character into your Wishful Thinking series. It seems to have an essence to it not present in my own work, where things don't always have to be so complicated and things are mostly good all the time for everyone. I just love how you've portrayed Avereth there and much as it tempts me to try to manipulate the plot as I tend to do in things want to continue a primarily hands-off approch to the character with the exception of when you need to know something. I can't wait to see how he continues to interact with other characters in the series. :)

It's been a great 2 years knowing you, and once I find the time I am going to write a little story to celebrate it even though I could summarize it to you given enough minutes, but what's the fun in that eh? I have been putting much consideration into the ideas I put forth in my previous journal related to logically placing a value on the life of an organism. I have begun to create the framework of this system, though there is still much work to be done. But I believe it is fully necessary because until a logical value can be unquestionably calculated concerning the value of a life as far as nature is concerned, we will continue to abuse our warped vision that places man above every other creature. It will be a reality check to remind us that we are important only to ourselves, and that we contribute nothing to the balance of nature.

The values I present here are merely theoretical. It will take a lot of modification and study to put the values where they realistically need to be and include all relevant categories.

Life Value Rating Calculations

Organism life expectancy
Average lifespan divided by 10 (L/10)

A longer living organism has a larger investment of time, giving it more value.

Organism mass
Average organism mass divided by 10 (M/10)

A larger organism has a larger investment of resources. This gives it more value.

Reproductive capacities
Time to maturation plus developmental period of young plus care period divided by average young produced ((M+D+C)/Y))

M is how long it takes something from when it first begins growth to when it is able to reproduce. D is how long the organism takes to produce its young. C is how long the offspring must be taken care of before they can operate on their own. Obviously plants do not do that. Y decreases the organism's value more depending how many offspring it averages at once, because more offspring can replace lost members more quickly.

Mental capacities
Sentient 10, Intelligent 7, Emotional 4, Reactive 1, Autonomous 0.01.

Sentient is an organism that understands the concepts of life and death to a great extent. It feels many emotions and can sense pain. It can learn new things during its life. Only humanity fills this position.

Intelligent is an organism that may have a very shallow idea about the concept of death. It is able to feel pain. It can feel many emotions and learn new things during its life. Probably all mammals fall into this position, and perhaps some birds, reptiles, and other organisms.

Emotional is an organism that is able to experience some emotions, primarily fear. It is able to feel pain. It is normally unable to learn new behaviors during its lifetime, mostly relying on instinct. It is the lowest lifeform that is capable of threat appraisal and deciding whether to fight or flee. Some predatory insects such as spiders and preying mantises appear to display this level of intelligence, and perhaps some fish. Some reptiles probably fall here as well.

Reactive is an organism which is incapable of threat appraisal and acts on instinct alone. These organisms do not experience emotions, but may or may not be able to feel pain. A cricket or a number of marine worms are capable of feeling pain, while some plants have various mechanisms triggered by stimuli but are unable to feel pain.

Autonomous in an organism that continues its normal functions regardless of anything around it. They cannot sense pain or emotions. Fungi, most plants, and innumerable microscopic organisms fall into this category.

I have yet to determine a value for symbiotic organisms, single celled organisms, or parasites.

Tertiary predators are the top organisms that nothing feeds upon in turn. Secondary predators are organisms that consume many lower organisms but in turn can be preyed upon by tertiary predators. Bottom level predators prey on the lowest of organisms and in turn are frequently prey to the higher tier predators. Herbivores are any exclusively plant eating organism.

Plants are anything that has a cell wall and is stationary growing, feeding herbivores. Decomposers are fungi and bacteria that break down organic molecules. Humans do not contribute anything to the natural relationship, having their own internally controlled food supplies. As they do not contribute to evolution in any way, they get a very low score here.

This calculates the value for an organism based on its total numbers. The figure being below below the optimal value increases the point value, while the figure being above the optimal value decreases the point value. These would follow an exponential curve on both ends, with 10 being the maximum and 0.01 being the minimum.

I think there were some others, but right now I cannot recall them. Let's see what happens if I try to rate a human and hyena using made up numbers with this scale shall we?

That's a pretty huge difference, but if there weren't so many humans and if we actually contributed to the natural balance like hyenas do and earned our spot as a tertiary predator we would be able to multiply our score by at the least a value of 100. There are still probably going to be far too many of us, but let's cut our numbers significantly to up the last value from 0.01 to 0.25

As you can see, without our cheating of nature's system and crushing numbers, our value would go quite a bit over that of a spotted hyena, mostly because of our immensely long reproductive time, our lifespan, and our higher tier of sentience. Of course, I'm sure the values I have given need tweaking, but this is the only way to begin testing those numbers. Let's see what happens if we cut our numbers by the same amount but continue not actually being tertiary predators.

The following words are my attempt to lessen the burden that these subjects place upon me. This comes straight from my heart and mind, and I have attempted to tell things exactly as they are, with no lies or half-truths. The following pages are my thoughts and feelings on three different subjects. Subjects which have plagued me continually for the last few years. They concern things both great and small, abuses and demands for protective rights by law. Life and death. Many of you know one part of me, the part that hides these thoughts from my mind and lets me get by without breaking my mind. It's difficult for me to get by from day to day and focus on my immediate needs because my thoughts always return to the same things over and over. This is the side of me none of you have ever seen, the side which is not interested in revealing itself to others. The side that is my calling in life.

I think I've managed to mentally scar myself again, but the pain it brings me this time is far worse than the previous two times. There is such truth to the saying that ignorance is bliss. I could have been such a happy person if only I had never treaded this path... Oftentimes my quest for worldly knowledge teaches me things I wish that I never knew. Hidden truths, terrible revelations of reality... But once you know something...isn't it your responsibility to do something about it? What kind of a person does it make you if you don't try to do anything about it? Sometimes the things I see have more of an impact on me than others, strike deeply into me and leave me a changed person forever. And usually, when that happens, I suffer immense mental anguish because there is nothing that I can do despite the fact my entire being demands it.

I have never thought like a normal human being. Normal human beings are often very selfish, self centered creatures, immersed in their own bubble of reality where inconvenient things are ignored as if they do not exist. This much became evident to me early into my life, even at four years old. I have always studied the world around me with an intensity most normal people don't experience, and wanted to find the true meanings behind things. The fact that I've never trusted the words of others when there is the possibility of deception has let me glean many things about the world today as well. My curse, or blessing, as some who do not understand would call it, is the fact that I always want to help others, sometimes with a zeal that is unbearable. And this wish does not extend just to humanity, but to all other animals, the plants...the environment. I want the best for everyone and everything.

But more often than not, I have no power or ability to do anything about whatever it is that calls me to do something. The world is a hard, mostly uncaring place, where the rich and powerful play their game of politics with the masses, and the ones with the money do their talking for them. There are many people who care nothing about the world around them, focusing only on themselves. They will not heistate to trample and destroy anything underfoot between them and their goals, nor do they care. These people are responsible for so much pain, destruction, and anguish. To people, to animals and plants, to the environment. And to me when I become aware of their activities and yet am powerless to stop them. The anxiety is unbearable.

Everyone has their inner demons, but normally they are limited to a smaller scope of personal things and people. My real demons are much larger than that, and even if all the things came to pass necessary to vanquish them, little to no personal gain would ever even present itself to me, excluding the peace of mind I would finally gain. If they all came to pass, I could die happy right now with no regrets. If I could, I would give my very life to see them all come to pass, even though I am still so young. It would be a beautiful thing if I could make such a sacrifice. I would do it gladly, knowing all I was giving up, knowing I only get to live once. That is how selfless I am. I don't care what happens to me, but I do care about everything around me and want life on this world to be the best it possibly can be, and for everyone and everything, not just humanity. No one person should have to bear so great a burden upon their shoulders, but my conscience requires that I do so, or be a pitiful disgrace for trying to ignore that which I have realized.

For this reason I will probably spend my entire life in despair save for those times that I can bury it in something else for at least a while. I have decided to open myself to those around me who might understand, or be able to gain understanding, of what some of the truly important things in life are. While not everyone realizes everything around them, they can still have things shown to them by those that have become aware of those things. Perhaps you are already thinking of what things could possibly have elicited such a reaction from me. But I ask you now: Are you sure you really want to know? If you have been fortunate enough in life not to have had the seeds of realization take root and begin to spread, are you willing to risk losing that? To have your minor worries and fears swept aside by greater things that go beyond self, beyond the power of one individual to control? With what I am plagued by every moment my mind is free to wander, I couldn't blame you for that. Read on only if you are willing to lose that innocence forever. And if you are unmoved by my words after reading them, consider your life very carefully, for you may be one of those with the potential to cause pain and misery to others. It's a hard thing for one lowly man to change the world by himself, but even alone one man can, if he only has the bravery to try and inspire others to his cause.

The first demon is the biggest one. It doesn't cut me so deeply as the other two, but this one will be the end of all of us someday. The golden age of humanity is ever moving towards its twilight. Our way of life is finite, and no matter what we do, cannot be sustained forever. I don't think the fall will happen in my lifetime; it could be several generations into the future before it happens. You may be surprised to hear that I look forward to that day. It will be the first crumbling of our crushing grip of domination over this planet. Humanity is such a strange race. How hypocritical we are to claim we are better than animals when we do the same thing any overpopulated animal would do to its environment. We have intelligence, but we choose to use it to suit our own ends, even though we are capable of higher thought, ignoring those things which are convenient to look past. I know the end of our reign will come, but I cannot know how. I only know it will not come quickly, and that we will claw and tear at everything around us trying to keep a hold of that which is forever slipping out of our grasp.

I have thought about many scenarios before, never sure which might happen, or what order several might happen in. The first one is the total consumption of the world's oil. Imagine if that happened. Electric power would be needed for most everything. It's said the coal should outlast the oil, but the increased demand for electricity would deplete coal supplies even faster. There is always nuclear power, but the reprocussions of using that are quite horrid. Anything else is dubious at best. I'm sure solar power will become king during that time. That is, if any progress has even been made by then. The individuals directing their companies may not have bothered investing in oil and coal free technologies in their own greed. The results then would be catastrophic. People would die by the billions as food and water ran out, and governments would collapse. Humanity has domesticated itself as much as any of its livestock or pets; most of us cannot survive on our own. Without our tools, we cannot survive. I doubt that most governments will ever do anything limiting the population or reducing it, or actually make their country prepare for the loss of oil. The government cowers to the will of the people when they are all angry, and the people do not like having any of their rights taken away. Our supposedly best system will be the end of us as the blind masses keep those in power who would take advantage of it for their own gain.

I don't care about the oil and coal running out in the slightest. I care about the billions of people who are going to die, possibly because of their own ignorance about what is truly important. The problem with a government of the people is that the people cannot be trusted to know what is best for them. I know some terrible people in history have said the exact same thing, but did those same people think about things like I did? No. They were the type I said causes so many problems. Such a government has only ever been controlled by people who put their own interests before those of others. This is a recurring theme of humanity, and why humanity disgusts me. Is it possible to be ashamed to be human? I think I have been for a long time. Why must so many be so blind to the important things? Why do they choose not to see such things? I will never understand.

Another scenario is that what if all the space runs out? One thing I have learned is that ultimately, no land is sacred. Nothing is sacred to humanity, in truth not even itself. A government can and will find a way to make it accessable by contractors. If the oil doesn't run out fast enough, nearly every tree in the world will have been cut down. Nearly every species of animal that is not one of our food sources will die, whether by starvation, a car hood, or when shot or euthanized because its natural instincts mean it might pose a threat to humans. Greed is the driving force and nothing can stop it. How a person can cut a plot of trees down and feel nothing at all...I don't understand...how can one feel no remorse over doing such a thing? It's gone...forever...when you do that. If I were alive during such a time, I think I would probably waste away in a corner until I died, no longer caring about anything because what I had wanted to stop from happening had occurred. The anguish and shame over letting humanity wipe so many unique plants and animals off of the face of the earth forever would consume me, I think. We are able to percieve things to be beautiful, and every one of the plants and animals of this planet is a beautiful thing. And we are destroying that beauty. No one ever thinks about the stress and suffering of the animals as we ever push them back and kill them. But someone must mourn for them, the victims no one cares about that do not understand what is happening to them and continue their futile effort to survive as we take more and more space from them.

Humanity is in fact currently above nature for the most part. We have broken from the system, comprehended the system...and as is human, exploited it as much as we can far beyond any normal animal. Our intelligence was the tool necessary to do this. We are the most dangerous animal on the planet, even though we have no claws, no fangs, no venom, no camouflage, no strength. Nothing can stand before us, nothing can stop us. No balance can be maintained around us. Eventually, the population will have filled up the empty space everywhere in the world. A world with nothing but humans and our food plants and animals. It's sickening to even think about. All of nature's balances, all of its genetic evolutions since when the first life somehow formed on this planet, and it will come to that end, cheated and defeated by its own creation. But there are balances even humanity cannot be expected to defeat in our ignorance. Perhaps the food will run out, since we are no better than animals and are just as driven by sex as they are. The resulting catastrophe will surely decimate the world population, as well as spread numerous diseases as governments collapse. You see, that's another reason we're no better than animals. The animal in us takes over in extreme conditions, and makes us do things we think we would never do. How else can you explain people killing for food, rape, and murder?

Another possibility is that if enough green things are destroyed, what is left on land and in ocean may eventually no longer be able to replace carbon dioxide with oxygen fast enough to keep it balanced. In other words, the air would become less and less breathable as the world's very oxygen supply began to dwindle down. Something happened like this very long ago when only the simplest single celled forms of life existed. The gasses they used for air eventually ran out in the oceans and sky, and nearly every organism died, save those very few that had adapted to using different gasses to breath. Imagine those same proportions' effect on humanity. Nearly everyone, on every part of the planet, would die. And not just humans, but any unfortunate animals still managing to survive despite our attempts to drive them to extinction as 'pests'.

Humanity needs to prepare for its downfall now, not delay until it is too late to do anything. The population of the world must be curbed to sustainable levels. Preparation for the loss of oil must be made. Abandoning and restoration of vacated land to its natural state must occur. Will any of this ever happen? I think not. Our fall would preferably be engineered by our own hands before we destroy everything else around us, but those who are only interested in their own advancement and have no care about the value of life for any creature will see to it that this does not occur. The masses will refuse to change their ways, and ensure those in power share their views, and in turn those in power will make efforts to keep the masses from becoming aware of anything else but their own self centered view of reality. This will be the tragedy of humanity in its final days, and the downfall of the species diversity of the planet as everything is crushed in the name of progress.

I do not for a moment think that our race will ever become extinct. So long as we retain our intelligence, we will always understand nature's system, and always place ourselves above it as best we can. Even if things returned to the ways ancient civilizations lived, I still think that there would be the possibility of the destruction of all plants and animals unimportant to our survival in the areas that we succeeded in repopulating. This lesser humanity will surely populate most of the globe until the end of days, when the sun begins to expand and its heat kills everything on the planet off gradually, unless the planet has cooled enough before then that tectonic activity halts and all of the landmasses erode back under the oceans for good.

I became truly aware of these concepts at some point into high school, when at some crucial point my personal studies of the physical world around me expanded to include the moral rights and wrongs of things as I judged them to be. Everyone must open their mind beyond living in the moment, and lower their bubble of reality to see things as they really are. Time is running out.

My second demon is nowhere near so vast and all-encompassing as the first one to torment my thoughts. This one happened only last year, when I was twenty. But it cut deeply, having a much more immediate and personal effect on my emotional state. It was also once again true that I would have been a happier person if I had not delved into it, for once again it was something that I became aware of on my own research. It concerns a medical practice that no one is willing to broach the subject on, a curious practice with a number of religious and medical excuses given to support its continued application. In many English speaking countries, and numerous others as well, when a male is born, he is subjected to a procedure known as circumcision.

In this procedure, the newborn is restrained to prevent movement, the connective tissue on the end of the foreskin severed, and the foreskin is then removed entirely. This procedure is usually done without any anesthetic whatsoever, and I cannot even imagine what it would feel like to have a knife cutting parts of so sensitive a place off with full awareness. Not only does this permanently prevent the correct development and function of the penis, but it is possible that the pain caused by the procedure causes permanent psychological changes as well. The loss of the protective covering forces the exposed skin to thicken significantly to protect the surface, and the nerves removed with the foreskin cannot redevelop, greatly reducing the sensitivity of the organ for the rest of the infant's life.

The medical origins of this procedure date to a time when masturbation was thought to be detrimental to one's health, and even a cause of mental instability and insanity. It was enacted to destroy the sensitivity of both males and females(using a diferent procedure) in order to try to prevent masturbation and frequent sex. The practice later narrowed to only being performed on males. One of the men at the forefront of this way of thinking was Dr. Kellogg(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Harvey_Kellogg). If it weren't for this man, the procedure might not even exist today beyond cases where the person's health is actually at risk. I would truly and honestly like to spit on this man's grave. The reasoning for it has changed as well, proponents now claiming it is meant to prevent cancer in the male, and also to prevent infection since they are convinced that the lining of the foreskin will clearly become infected despite the fact that just like the eyes, nose, and ears it is self-cleaning.

The logic that it should be removed to prevent cancer is preposterous. The foreskin is no more susceptible to cancer than any other part of the body. Their reasoning is that if the foreskin is removed they can prevent one hundred percent of cancer cases arising from it being left intact. Following this questionable logic, we should all but be lining up in order to have our skin removed, breasts removed, one testicle removed, one lung removed, and a portion of our colons since our chances of getting a cancer in one of those places will drop by significant percentages if we just cut it off! This is a case of causing harm to many to prevent harm to only a few, and is destructive. Furthermore, since it is an irreversible procedure and the infant's life is not in any significant way threatened by the presence of the foreskin, but will most certainly be negatively impacted by the procedure, it violates the infant's rights, rights that should be inviolable to even parents and doctors.

Learning all of this struck deeply into me in multiple ways. Before then, I had gone through life happy with my self image. I thought I had come into the world free of any defects or problems, perfect in every way. But I had always wondered about one thing, had one lingering doubt that began to grow. And thus did I learn I was not perfect, no, I was maimed for life. I was denied ever even having a chance to be perfect, because my parents allowed someone to hold me down and circumcise me, ruining a part of me for the rest of my life. I felt so much hurt and betrayal at first, wondering how my parents, whom I had trusted my entire life with keeping me safe and protected from harm, could have failed in that task as my life was only beginning, and letting someone mutilate me. I was not perfect, and I never had been. That newly realized wound is one that will never heal completely. I feel betrayed, hurt, angry- ever aware that I am missing something.

My feelings then moved to anger. The first real anger I had ever experienced before. The kind of anger that makes you want to kill someone. I hated Dr. Kellogg. For the first time in my life, I hated someone. How dare the legacy of those long-dead men continue to exist to this day? How many infant males were going through what I did when I was born at this very moment? Every day? How many pregnant mothers didn't think twice about the procedure, and would allow it to be done when their child was born? This was a permanent removal of a body part! Would a parent let a doctor remove their child's arm for similarly thin reasons? This horrible procedure must stop. Most doctors take an oath when they graduate from a medical college. The oath has evolved greatly since its first creation, but to this day it stresses what is important for a doctor to uphold.

The Hippocratic Oath has been broken. That circumcision continues is a disgrace to the doctors who do it and to the medical profession in its entirety. Below are two excerpts from the modern day Hippocratic Oath, written by Louis Lasagna in 1964.

"I will apply, for the benefit of the sick, all measures [that] are required, avoiding those twin traps of overtreatment and therapeutic nihilism."

Here it is stated that the doctor will only do what is needed, never doing more than is to the patient's benefit or less than will be of help to them. The removal of the foreskin for the supposed prevention of cancer goes far, far beyond the limits of overtreatment, and the idea that it will become infected is proven false. Additionally, the lack of use of anesthetic goes directly against this passage as well, indicating a lack of treatment for the procedure itself.

"I will not be ashamed to say "I know not,"

The persons performing circumcision have clearly not researched about it, or they would not perform the procedure. And yet they are not willing to admit they do not know much. This could be because admitting the wrongness of the procedure means admitting they have directly mutilated countless newborns by circumcising them. They also may be in denial that the procedure has only negative impact if they are a male themself that was circumcised. Additionally, the procedure could then be considered assault, meaning the medical staff involved and parents as well would be liable, regardless of permission or lack of knowledge.

That society allows such a thing to be done to newborn males before they are even old enough to make choices of their own is a horrible thing, and this damaging procedure must be stopped from ever being performed as a preventative measure again anywhere in the world. I am a victim, many of you are victims too, of Dr. Kellogg's legacy. Future generations should not have to suffer being maimed for their entire life as we are. Dr. Kellogg's legacy must end.

The third demon happened only last week, and has drawn my thoughts away from those important everyday things which they should be on continually. It was a present concern very long before then, but by coincidence I came across materials which directly described the methods and procedures involved, and for the first time I really looked at this uncomfortable subject and determined its morality. I was digging around for more information on my favorite species of animal, the Spotted Hyena. One can often find interesting documentation of all kinds of things about them. But this time, I found documentation that horrified me, and still is a full week later. The document detailed the urogenital systems of spotted hyenas. In general, this is a subject that is difficult to find information on at best, but in this case the researchers were willing to use fatal methods to obtain their information.

Human curiosity. I often do not know what to make of it. The scientific field often angers me, because oftentimes there is no concern over the feelings or life of the creatures being studied. Researchers often do not seem to care about extinguishing the life of an organism to satisfy their own curiosities about it, or in the name of medical science. It's sickening, horrible, and is it really even neccessary? The worst part is, they can get the permission to sentence their test subjects to laboratory death perfectly legally. I have twice in my life refused to participate in dissections, and will do so again in my college courses, even if doing so meant failure of the course. Where is the respect? The dignity? Have they no shame?

Life is a precious thing. Every organism will die eventually, and then it will be gone forever. There are times when death is an unavoidable thing. Creatures become old or sick and die, some die to provide sustenance to others for their continued survival. Some die because the pain of living has become too much, or because they have completed their role in nature, or because of a fight. This is the way of nature, and there is no debating whether that is right or wrong; it simply is. But those deaths all are natural, fair for all involved, and even neccessary. No one has been cheated of their right to enjoy that one life. But humanity has created more reasons for creatures to die. Some die for entertainment. Some die for being bothersome or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some die in the name of medicine or because we want to see how they are put together. Not all of these reasons are always wrong, but usually this is not the case.

The only reasons a human should ever end the life of another creature are for food, needed materials, defense, or because it is suffering. There is no shame in eating meat, making a fur coat if it is actually needed for survival, killing mosquitos, or euthanizing a pet or permissive human that is dying. But for this particular writing, it is questionable if killing for science is acceptable to do.

What is the value of a life? Humanity has always held a lofty opinion of itself as being better, more worthy, above other animals. No other creature has the rights or protections that a human does. And we often take advantage of that. But that does not mean that others creatures do not have a value too, that their lives are not worth anything. I cannot hope to ever be able to value one creatures life higher than another with any accuracy, but I think some factors do mean something in that calculation. The first and greatest is that every creature has a right to exist, and it should have the right to be allowed to live its existance out to its fullest, until a natural occurrance ends its life. Every creature only has one opportunity to enjoy life, and it is a tragedy that we would violate so sacred a right to sate our curiosity or to make new medicines.

I think that how long an organism tends to live is a factor as well. Something that can live a long time is crueler to cause to die than something that lives a shorter amount of time. The amount of time already lived is another factor. If one of two of the same organism were to be valued, the one that has lived less of its lifespan has more value, for it still has more of its life left to enjoy. I think that the ability to comprehend pain or discomfort is part of it as well. A creature that can feel pain or distress has a more stressful time dying than one that is unable to percieve such things. The factor that arguably put humans above other animals is that we are aware of our own mortality. But it has been observed in some pets that they know when they are going to die, and try to meet with their owners one last time to say goodbye, and thus one must wonder how aware other animals are able to be of the fact that their life must end eventually. A final factor that could be considered is the general size of the organism and the role it plays in the environment. A large predator is more valuable than a small one, and many predators could be considered to have more value than herbivores.

The article fully documented the process of taking multiple spotted hyenas from where they lived, every detail of the processes used to make them die, and how their bodies were prepared and taken apart for examination. I will withold my personal comments for now, and instead guide you through the most traumatic part of the article to me. If you are squeamish you may wish to skip this part, for I will not use soft words or indirectly refer to things. You will hear exactly how a person takes a healthy, living animal and forces it to die. I will now translate the tale of how six hyenas were murdered and three horribly violated just to sate our lust for knowledge.

The first two used in the study were female, both ten years of age. The two females were documented as being darted with the chemicals Ketamine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketamine) and Xylazine (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xylazine). It then stated that they were Intubated (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intubation), to keep them under general anesthesia. The first two chemicals play a role in blocking perception of pain, and also in inducing unconsciousness. Intubation is the inserting of a tube into the throat, in this case used to keep them unconscious while they were moved. They were transported to The University of California, Department of Anatomy, for the actual killing. The document states that the external jugular vein was incised for Exsanguination (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exsanguination) and infusion of 10% Formalin(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Formaldehyde). What this means is that the unconscious animals had their necks cut open at the jugular vein and were allowed to bleed to death, and a preservative chemical was pumped into their circulatory system to preserve soft tissues and also stiffen the entire animal due to several reactions it undergoes inside the animal. I do not know if the formalin was administered at the same time they were bleeding them to death or afterwards.

Next a thirteen year old female was put under general anesthesia, and transported in the same way. They removed her entire uterus and ovaries for study. There is no further mention of her, so she is presumed to still be alive, albeit without her reproductive system.

After that two male hyenas of ages sixteen and seventeen were taken and examined. As there is no mention of darting they are presumed to have been conscious at the time. They were immobilized and transferred to a different campus to a Necropsy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autopsy) suite. At this point, the animals are still apparently conscious and aware of their surrounding, but unable to move due to restraints. Once there they were lethally injected with Sodium Pentobarbital (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentobarbital). This chemical is commonly used to euthanize pets and also humans in some countries. The document goes on to mention that one male had Disseminated Lymphoma, and was put down for that reason for the study. But he did not really have any reason to be put down. This form of Lymphoma is easily treated in humans, with more than half fully recovering, and often going five to ten years or more with no recurrance of the disease.

The final killings took the form of bringing in two pregnant female hyenas and putting them under general anesthesia. Both had cessarian sections performed on them to remove a male and female fetus, which was estimated at ninety-six days of one-hundred and ten in the gestational period. It states that the fetuses were euthanized by decapitation.

The rest of the document details all of the details gleaned from the dissections, slide mountings, and other observations, and their conclusions, and is irrelevant to my concerns.

I feel so sorry for these poor animals. I cannot possibly begin to describe the pain and despair I feel that they had this done to them, and that it was perfectly legal. I've never felt much when a friend or family member dies, because the deaths were always natural, and I simply accepted that death was an inevitable thing, and saw no reason to extensively mourn. It was a part of life. But this feeling I have now, this horrible pain in my chest, this draining of all happiness from my being, this I have never experienced before. It's been a week and still it fills me, my mind repeating their actions over and over. Where is the justice for these animals? Why did they have to die like this? We learned nearly everything about the human body through dissection of corpses and careful examination of living subjects. This is just as possible with these animals, but the scientific community seems to view their lives as expendible, and does not favor patience waiting for an animal to die, or taking the time to examine a living animal.

These animals did not die a natural, fair death. Their lives were wasted, and they were cheated of their right to exist. They're dead forever now and will never enjoy life again. Hyenas can live to forty years old. At least the males were a bit older, but those females were so young at ten years. And even the males could have lived twenty more years. I'm only twenty-one now, that's a long time...so many years stolen from them...

Furthermore, the treatment of the animals was deplorable, criminal even. The first two females were darted, which was fine as a method of safely immobilizing an animal, but they died of fatal blood loss after having their jugular veins cut open. This is beyond acceptable grounds. What kind of heartless monster could cut a creature's neck open and bleed it to death just to take a look at its anatomy? How could anyone raise their hand to use a knife to kill those two animals like that? And the thirteen year old female who had her entire reproductive system removed- she went through all that pain just so they could pick it apart and look at it, and she will spend her life unable to reproduce at all, if she wasn't later used for another study.

The two males had to endure being restrained on their entire trip to where they were going to be made to die. I am sure the amount of stress and fear they experienced was terrible, especially in their final moments when they were euthanized for dissection. The two pregnant females had their unborn young cut right out of them, young that were so close to being born by then that I have no doubts that they were able to move and try to look around. And the reasearchers killed them by cutting their heads off. I have no doubt that they could feel the knife as it rended flesh and bone.

Every creature should be protected from these horrendous practices. It's shameful, and there's something very wrong when a human can make another animal die to make a new medicine, or find out a new fact about it. Every creature lives once, only gets to enjoy life once, and someone who would take that from them for a wasteful reason is lower than dirt, and I can honestly say I want to make those people suffer horribly for their actions. I'm hurting so badly inside because of this...

I feel like there is so much more to say about this tragedy, but words escape me as I cannot think straight right now I'm so mad.

The VCG that  Ranger has released is looking to have great potential! I've probably innundated the poor guy with like 8 pages of feedback by now. >.>

I have to thank  Skulldog for making a journal about it, because this is a far more interesting interpretation of FA rankings than  Dragoneer's FA's top fandom whores list. I have off and on thought about a system like the one the site uses for more accurately determining a user's popularity, but then I'm somewhat of a math nerd sometimes.

Ranking orders are linear, but the points value for your popularity ranking appear to be somewhat of an exponential curve topping out at 1 million. It also gives a percentage which states how many users as a percentage are below you in popularity. The interesting thing is that basically each person watching you gives you more value, upping your watch value to others. Being watch by a big name ups your score more than a small one.

So here's my stats(as of Dec 22 when the site logged the info):

Definitely looking exponential to me when me down near 75% has about 4,000 eh?

Today was pretty awesome. But you probably already know that after seeing the happy face journal title with THREE happy mouths!

The first awesome thing was getting to see an in-progress sketch of my contest request from  herr_aardy! It's been...probably 6 months or so since that request was sent, but I knew if I was patient it would happen eventually, or just be forgotten, haha. I don't bother people. XD

Then, I happened to see 2 contests in journals the previous day by  strega and entered into both of them. Today I happened to see another journal stating the names of the 2 winners, and my heart about ripped out of my chest when I saw my name there. :DDD

Another AWESOME thing was that in my current WoWcrack substitute, Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst, the devs put up a Christmas event quest with a kill counter that adds up and unlocks new rare items that can drop out of the presents that enemies randomly drop, and it had hit the 2nd tier of rewards after only ONE DAY! That was 2,500,000 kills. And this is a private server with maybe 400ish people on at once. That's awesome. XD

And finally, I had forgotten my food and drink for work today, but today was the Christmas party and I had totally forgotten. So I ended up so stuffed with food it hurt regardless. Haha! X3

Ehh, I do have to add that today Jay Leno had a midget he called the "Fetish Elf" throw himself bodily against a plexiglass barrier trying to make an old famous lady flinch. IT WAS AMAZING I WANT TO PICK UP A TINY PERSON AND SPIN THEM AROUND BY THEIR ARMS IN HAPPINESS.

I need to get on YiM and RP more, I'm really playing way too much PSO atm, I'm freaking lv 141, nearly 142 now. I miss the days I had the time to spend the entire day RPing, that was some awesome stuff. I need to work through my list faster like I vowed to do, because while the pages of stuff we have done since then are nice, I'm missing more chances. I really dunno why I get so nervous about doing RP still even with people I know and trust, but it only gets worse the longer I go without any. >.<

Ok I really need to start working on my projects more as opposed to doing lazy things like sleeping all day! So, I therefore fully intend to get a few of my projects off of the dusty shelves and finish them!

In regards to solo works, I am going to try to finish Nirvana, which is based on a forum RP I had participated in on the Eka's Portal forums a loooong while back. It was started by Wolfwood, who may or may not have an FA page. I liked it enough I thought I should go ahead and do something with it.

Beyond that, I am considering breaking Heart of the Hunter into a two part story. The reason for this is that it can be made a two-parter rather painfully easily, and because the project demands so much increased effort on my part increasing the quality of writing to really make it good that finishing up the 2nd part could still take an extended period of time.

The 3rd personal project I want to get done is Secret Pleasures, Chapter 6. It's be 3 freaking years ffs. What's held it back is not being sure if I'm happy with where I took the plot or not, but if I changed the plot it would require extensive changes to the chapter, as well as removal of references to it in a few of my other Side Story works. I also have to worry that if it stays at the same quality as the previous chapters too. No one likes a botched continuation. I suppose we'll see...more of Verdek soon one way or the other...

Collaboration wise I really need to get back into the game, because everyone I do it with has always really enjoyed the time spend working on it.

So, soon enough  mitchkenzo and I will finish our current work- Instinct and Pleasure 3. The Side Stories line will finally close this chapter of Verdek's time in between one of the future Secret Pleasures chapters.

Also on my list of things to get done really soon is my collab with  kuntos. It doesn't have a name yet, but it's getting fairly large at a good rate when we actually work on it! It's much less tame that the things Mitch and I collab, and I'd even go as far to say it's as naughty as Secret Pleasures, if not more so. It's also going to be wonderfully creepy. XD

Arting-wise there's only one thing in the works right now. I won't spoil the surprise though. There's just been a part in it that has been bugging me for quite a while but I have never gotten around to fixing it so I can submit the piece.

Ok longer term goals now

Solo workswise I want to finish up the 2nd part of Heart of the Hunter.

I also want to continue my work in The Bloodsworn, my piratey story.

Collaboratively, I need to get to picking back up with the one with  nocturnewolf. We worked out a very interesting story and I have been out of time to actually finish what I started working on. So, to be fair, I decided first I'll finish the 2 collaborations that were started before this one, then give all my attention to him.

Other then that, I still completely want to do a trade with  ecmajor! He would like me to make a special short story for him, and I have always had a weakness for dragons, vore, and equines anyway, just never had the excuse to write something naughty related to it until now. :)

Let's see, really really long term goals...

I need to go ahead and start up the Monster Hunter collab with  mitchkenzo. My god it is going to be so fun and funny! :DDD

I need to start the story related to the dream I had with vore that was so awesome, especially now that I worked out a major plot blockage.

I need to work on a number of Secret Pleasures Side stories related to Duza and Venizel.

I need to continue with the final closing chapters in the Secret Pleasures series that no one knows anything about except for me and a select trusted few.

More art, before I get worse again.

I need to take the time to get to know  jizzal, who seems very nice and I've heard nothing but good things about, but I've been too shy every time we've had a chat window up or I've seen him online. ;.;

That was probably mostly everything, there's so much I easily forget a few things.

It's official, there is not enough Avereth to go around. o_0

I'm getting dragged all over as the designated driver while my buddies keep getting drunk/high/both every week. And I can't not do it because if anything bad happened to them I would have to blame myself in part because of it.

Most of you already know that college and work already take up a sizable portion of my time, but I'm getting to where I have basically zero free time to myself. If I could even just have one day to just like, um, sleep, that would rock. >.>;

I gotta figure something out, because I have wanted to get back to RPing and stuff so badly since my computer was fixed, and to mess with writing more and things like that, and there are people waiting on me in relation to these things. I certainly don't want to make said persons keep waiting, but as they say, real life has to come first, much as I'd like to blissfully submerge my worries and stresses in diversions.

Plus, writing becomes very difficult when one does not get enough sleep, and the small amount of RP I have managed to get done has been while in a drained state of mind. And finishing up my drawing for having 1000 page views can't really happen until I can fully concentrate either.

So yeah, um... Sorry to have posted about all of this so late, I just kept hoping I'd have some free time sooner and be able to get back to everything.

-Mitch: We're going to get back to finishing up Instinct and Pleasure III and that is that. It's sooo close to done and I want to do the Monster Hunter thing.

-Shade: Having much fun with our RP and can't wait to pick it back up while actually awake so I can have fun with it. As to the bday request, I dunno if I am capable of the task by said day, I'm so very overworked every week. So far behind on lots of commitments... :(

-Nocturne Wolf: I sincerely apologize for the amount of time I have made you wait for me to finish my part of our collaboration after all we did working out the plot and everything. I am going to get it done. I don't know when, but I don't back out of something I have committed to doing.

-EC Major: I believe I owe you an apology as well. This is the reason I said to hold off on anything on your end until I manage to produce something. I'd very much like to do your request simply because I admire your work as an artist and have been doing so for a few years. To have had a request from one such as you was quite a compliment in itself.

-Everyone who wants to talk to me on YiM: I am ashamed to admit that I have been hiding the rare times I get on lately. Trying to keep up often 4 conversations at once when one or two might be an RP is beyond my limitations and I am trying to get projects done to free up time for conversing with you. It's become stressful and that time is supposed to be relaxing so I don't know what else to do. Everyone who I keep regular contact with I consider a friend and trustworthy person so please do not take it personally. I need some space for a while I guess...

I hope I didn't miss anything, I've been so tired for the last two weeks. :/
