On July 21, a terrible tragedy happened. I have some news :)
You can congratulate me - I finally got a visa! Now I'm waiting for my passport to be returned and I haven't seen the visa itself yet, but the final decision already appeared on the Canadian website yesterday. Approved!
Now I can at least start thinking about how to get to Canada. My fiance says that I can go anytime and his relatives will gladly accept me, but I don't want to go without him. Besides, they are not my relatives yet, it will be inconvenient for me to distract them. I hope the war will end soon, the enemies will all die, and I will have a beautiful wedding and honeymoon in Toronto... I have the right to dreams.

I recently learned that the Orthodox Easter is a week later than the Catholic one. Congratulations to everyone who has already dyed eggs and celebrated well with families!✨ I still have it this weekend, but in the meantime I did a general cleaning for a few days and found some interesting recipes for dyeing eggs that I will bring to my relatives :)

I was planning a great event and I was upset that I didn't know about it earlier and couldn't prepare properly. However, this week I also thought that I would manage earlier and did not notice how the week was almost over. So... let me know if anyone is interested in the Easter event, even if it's late, because I'm not sure if it makes sense. Most likely, I will try to finish this idea and show it to you. Perhaps you have heard about the Canadian program of CUAET. My fiance and I applied for a visa to Canada back in September, because it was an incredible chance to get it. We hoped to go there on our honeymoon when the war was over and we could finally get married. He has relatives living there and he told me a lot of cool things about this country, so the opportunity to get this visa was a great chance for us. Unfortunately, it was quite long, although it is strange - I thought it was an emergency visa for refugees. It is strange to wait six months for an emergency visa. My fiance actually waited 6 months, but I had a little problem... Probably due to some technical error on the website, my letter with an invitation to biometrics arrived on the same day that I registered, but this is impossible. At first, we closely followed all the messages. That week it turned out that I received a letter and I have absolutely no time, I may lose this chance. I was a little panicked and didn't know what to do. This program may end in the spring. We consulted with people who are engaged in this, and in conclusion, I have to do biometrics urgently, there is no time to think. The visa center in Kyiv is not working and I was hoping to go to Lviv, but it turned out that the only option I had left was to go to Poland. In a few days I bought all the necessary tickets and spent all the money I had on it. I didn't even know trains were so expensive these days, wow. I have one-way train and bus tickets, as I plan to spend the night with a friend in Krakow for a few days and then drive back to Ukraine with her. I hope the plan will succeed. There is a possibility that I will not be able to stay in my friend's apartment for the entire trip, maybe I will have to live in a hostel for a few days. I still don't know some of the details. I'm not going to spend a lot, I'm usually pretty thrifty, but I worry that I might not have enough. And I would like to feel comfortable in another country. By the way, this is my first visit there. It is difficult for me now to collect my thoughts in order to say everything that I think and feel. In fact, I don't want to think at all and I don't want to do anything either. It is morally very difficult, especially when you remember all the events of this year and watch videos that mention the first events that happened on February 24, 2022. Because thinking about it all makes me relive it. I can't be calm, I can't not cry, I can't pretend that I and everyone I know feel adequate or at peace right now. We have survived a whole year of suffering, pain, injustice and cruelty. But we did not survive. Many of us are already dead inside. Many of us have been dying every day since February 24th. Many people do die. They were dying yesterday, they are dying today, they are dying just this second. And they will die in the same way tomorrow, and it is still unclear how long it will take until this catastrophe, brought about by russian aggression, finally ends. The best people leave and never come back. The bio-waste that russia sends here is not worth anything at all, they send us the most disgusting filth of their society. And we have to give the best people. Damn, why? I can't stand it and it hurts. I have many friends at the front and I fear for each of them.

They say that heroes do not die, we will remember them forever. But it does not make it easier for the soul. Every day a part of my soul dies and soon there will be nothing left.

I remember the first explosions outside the window a year ago and they seem to resound in my head. In fact, I did not immediately understand what it was. I did not sleep until morning. I painted a patriotic picture (how ironic), which I was able to finish already in the basement, while the expectation of at least some clarity was tearing me apart from the inside. When I heard explosions, and the shock wave opened the door to the balcony, I did not believe and could not even imagine such a situation. What the hell war can be? In the 21st century? In the era of technology, tolerance and development of civilization? Come on, this is some outdated crap that no one needs! Do you know what I did first? Thinking it was thunder, I started googling the weather. But there was nothing on the Internet. The first call was from my mother, she was frightened and asked if I had heard anything. Then she told that there was shooting in Kharkiv, which her sister had told her about. I then tried to calm her down, as if nothing had happened. The problem was that at that time I did not understand anything myself. I entered the Telegram chat, in which my friends also wrote about the explosions. They said: "That's all, the war has begun." I was one hundred percent sure that they were joking. But unfortunately, they weren't joking... Then several videos appeared on YouTube, including from the president, which clarified the situation. I started to collect things and call my relatives. For the next month I was slowly going insane in my father's basement. My whole family lived together for a whole month. I still wonder how we didn't lose our minds back then. Sometimes we even went into town to buy something. Once we went to my house and took out all the glass bottles to make "Bandera smoothies" from them, which were then taken to checkpoints, I hope they were needed. By the way, that was the first time I saw corpses outside - it seems that someone caught the damn saboteurs. There were not too many trips to the city, for some time the roads were congested. Everyone who could tried to run away, because the orcs were actually closer than we expected. All gas stations were overloaded as well, everyone tried to get gasoline in reserve. So we spent most of our time in the basement watching the news. We slept on mattresses on the floor, heated with firewood. For some time I drew in a sketchbook, carrying only a few colored markers and liners. I tried to constantly write posts about how I feel and whether I'm still alive, I tried to spread important information. My head was spinning from the news, there were too many of them to absorb, but it was impossible not to read them. Otherwise, you could miss something important. Somewhere in the first week, I was so nervous that I came down with a fever, my father had the same problem. I also had a constant headache, air alert almost did not subside every day. At night I listened to the air alert and every sound I could hear, because of this I did not sleep well. It was a very difficult time, every day was like the last. I remember very vividly how, during dinner, upstairs in my father's office, there was a terrible crash very close somewhere outside. We got scared, grabbed the plates and went down to the safe basement as quickly as possible. This basement changed me a lot, but I think I learned to survive and became stronger. I have been at home for a whole year, in my native Ukraine. I was here all this time. This is my home and I will fight for it, even if my fight is just to stay alive.

When we finally got out into the world, it was quite strange to be in it. I started drawing digital art again, sometimes walking outside. It seems that spring has been quite difficult for me. Spring seemed sick. I don't remember spring well, it has never been so gloomy. I wanted to seek help because my mental state was already completely destroyed. It was in the spring that the orcs left the region and the world saw the terrible consequences of their stay in our cities. It was pain, horror, inhuman and completely unjustified cruelty. No one survived it morally, everyone just lost their minds.

Summer was also kind of incomprehensible. But unlike spring, breathing became a little easier. We started to get used to living when there is a war in the country. We just went on with our lives. I started reading less news and as a result less nervous. When you sit somewhere in a cafe and drink coffee, for a second you imagine your old life and feel like an ordinary person with your small problems and experiences that really do not make sense. If you didn't think, you could forget about everything for a second. But then you come back to reality, pick yourself up and go make money to join the whole country in buying a few Bayraktar drones and your own satellite. Sending money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in any incomprehensible situation - when you are angry, when you are upset, when you argue with someone, when you are in pain or, on the contrary, when you are glad of good news and read about successes at the front - this is a good habit during this time. It has become part of us and our culture. There were many moments in the summer when it seemed easier. From time to time I went to Kyiv to visit friends, went for walks, got to know people. The time when Ukrainian artists united for a collab on Independence Day was especially good. It was an incredible experience and I still remember it with a smile. There were also a lot of birthdays, but we didn't go out and party or anything, it just seemed out of place. And in the summer, my boyfriend officially proposed to me. We decided that while the war was going on, we would not get married. Some important people are now at the front and I can't imagine this event without them.

Autumn was stupid. I dreamed of fixing my broken schedule, but I failed. Around the beginning of autumn, I started going to the gym and tried to study. I did not last long at this pace, although I was able to learn a little anatomy. In October, 6 Iranian Shahed drones exploded across the street from my house. At that moment, we all had time to relax a little, which was not worth doing. I sat in the bathroom, counted each explosion, I did not sleep all night because I was afraid of waking up. I wrote in Telegram chats about what was happening, I said goodbye... After this incident, I moved to my parents for a whole week and spent the night at my fiancé's place several times. It was really hard for me to go home. October was terrible for my concentration level, I was devastated, emotionally unstable and very tired.

After a while, russians started bombing our critical infrastructure like crazy. As if they didn't bring enough horror and pain... The whole country was left without electricity, water and heat. Winter was approaching. Points of unbreakability, generators, power banks, flashlights - we have adapted so quickly that it is difficult to even realize. Our power engineers and other critical infrastructure workers do a titanic job every day to restore our networks. In the darkest days of winter, when the street lights were turned off, there was complete darkness around, and the electricity in the houses came on for a few hours at best, we still found light. It was the warmest winter ever. These monsters failed to intimidate us, let them eat shit.

Now the situation with electricity is much better. I bought an uninterruptible power supply that screeches when the power goes out, so I don't have to worry about the computer burning down. Also, thanks to my beloved watchers, I was able to purchase something that I had only dreamed about before. Every day I draw better and better on the iPad and improve the level of my skill.
This year was brutal, difficult and nervous. It's strange that a whole year has already passed. A whole year of this damn war that no one needs...

It's like yesterday I went down to the basement for the first time, I remember it so vividly and in detail that I remember all my feelings when I start thinking about it. It hurts. It will hurt for a long time. Even when the war ends and the temporary misunderstanding called ru**ia falls apart and ceases to exist as a big rotten empire, every Ukrainian will remember. Our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will remember. We will never forget. We will never forgive. Although in order to forgive, you need to at least hear an apology first... Have you heard them? I don't either. They don't care, they like killing us, they enjoy it.

I still don't understand how the year has passed. It was stolen from us. It should be completely different - happy, full of life, travel, new acquaintances, love and dreams. But the cruel russians stole it from us, they stole our lives and peace. Just because they wanted to. They decided that they have the right and no one will do anything to them for it. They just wanted to increase their already insanely large territory, which they already messed up so that people do not live there, but simply exist in the swamp, shit and cold. They thought that they would take our fertile lands and wide meadows from us in order to do the same as they did at home. Just mutilate, devastate and steal. They wanted us to live as horribly as they did, to forget who we are, to forget our language and culture, our long-suffering history. They are a real empire, greedy for new territories. A big sick tumor that wants to get bigger and bigger. Do you think we will be enough for them? They want to spread their disease to the whole world. Have you seen the size of this disease on the map? Do you still think you will be safe? That they won't one day just decide to come to you and destroy your home? Are you safe in Britain, Germany or even America? As long as this crap exists, none of us are safe.

Even a year ago, I personally thought that I was safe. I did not understand politics and did not even want to understand it. I may have known about the aggressiveness of the neighboring state, but I never thought in my life that it would affect me personally. I tolerated the russians, I dragged them into our information space, I went to visit them. I reassured myself that I just wanted to see my friends, how does that relate to politics? I was blind, stupid and naive. It wasn't until the full-scale invasion that I really understood how bad things were.

I haven't spoken russian language in a year, I gave up from almost everything their content, I watch videos only in Ukrainian dubbing, and if it is not there, I turn on English, although it is difficult for me. Do you think it was easy? It's still hard. The russian space was a part of my life and it is my own fault that I did not pay attention to how harmful it was before. I still have friends there, but fortunately they are adequate people who do not get confused by the question of "whose Crimea" and understand all the problems of their stupid government. Although I actually have few of them left. Those who wrote to me on February 24 and asked if I was alive, those who condemned the war, those who still check how I am doing and do not try to throw propagandistic manure on me. I still have them. But in the context of the whole nation, I don't want to talk about good russians, and I have the right to do so.

I closed myself off from what used to be important to me, it was really a significant part of my life. But can you look for the gray tones between the obvious black and white? Between good and evil? When I was sitting in the basement, reading the news and crying, I didn't think about what I should do with my VKontakte group or how I should draw an answer to an Ask. I didn't think about how I could go to my friends now (Although I will not hide that I missed some close people). I thought about how to survive. How to stay alive the next day. Everything else, all the values that were there before, all the attachments - all this at one point simply lost its meaning. This country attacked us, most of its citizens supported it. There are no shades of gray here. There is chthonic evil here and if it can get through us, be sure it will come to you tomorrow and it doesn't matter how safe you feel. But fortunately, we are confidently destroying them on all fronts, we are holding on and we will definitely stand and destroy this temporary misunderstanding called russia. And if you believe in goodness and justice, I'm sure you know whose side you're on. So now ask yourself one simple question: Why, after a year of Europe's biggest post-WWII crisis, are some people still tolerating russians? Why do some people cling to them so strongly, cooperate with them and drag them into their and the general infospace? I know it can be hard to understand why we hate them so much from afar. Some still say this crap about fraternal nations and don't understand what's wrong, why we won't reconcile. We are not fraternal nations. We have never been fraternal nations!

These thieves enslaved us for centuries, they forced us into so-called friendship and forcibly took everything they could take from us. They killed us then, they are killing us now. We are completely different from them and we just want to be finally left alone and away from these bloodthirsty creatures. Of course you can't hate them as much as we do, of course not everyone understands the context of this terrible tragedy of our long "relationship". We experience it here and now again and again, it hurts. It is not necessary to understand all this, but during the year of the war, everyone understood one simple fact - russia is a terrorist country! Anyone who still doesn't understand this and is still trying to justify them - does your conscience feel good knowing that you are even a little bit supporting true evil? Of course, I am not talking about everyone. But how often have you seen that russian artists, of whom there are a lot here and who earn a lot of money, expressed something in support of us? Maybe they will donate to the army? Maybe they openly condemn their government? I have seen very few people for whom it was enough to say once the ridiculous "I am for world peace" or "no war" at the very beginning of the invasion. I'm just reminding you that a whole year has already passed! That's all their powers are. And even for that, they received a huge amount of thanks, even from Ukrainians. What war? Who started it? Abstract world peace during a great war that your state unleashed? You didn't actually say anything. We stopped trying to reach you a long time ago, it makes no sense and it's sad. I'm not talking about everyone. I also read the comments of russians who condemn the war. And this is not just an adequate position for which you need to thank, it is something that each of you should realize. And if you can do something, do it.

You taught everyone how to use boosty and now you happily earn dollars and euros from the "decaying West". Okay, okay, you gotta eat, everybody gotta eat. I do not want to drag this topic. But knowing that your taxes go to sponsor the war and that every shell that kills our soldiers, civilians, women and children is a little trinket sent to you on a conditional commission with a cute dog. You can't control where your money goes, that's for sure. No need to prove anything to me about how you want to eat. But if you are really for that "peace in the whole world" and do not support the bloody regime and decisions of your authorities, you can send money to our charity funds at least once a month to bring our victory closer or at least to clear your conscience. Because if you really understand everything and consider yourself a good person who does not want war, then our victory is also in your interests. This regime must be broken because it will destroy you just as it destroys everyone who does not benefit it.
If there really are as many of you as you say, you can do something important and useful. It's another matter whether you want it yourself, or it's easier for you to stay silent and worry only about your ass in an effort to earn more money.

Again, I'm not talking about everyone. I only say what I see. If you do at least something - glad for you. I am not going to convince you and inflate this topic... Just think about it, it will be useful.
I perfectly understand that many people may not like it, many will unfollow me or be offended. But I want to talk about important things. We have been living in agony for a year, now it is not time to choose good words. If in a year someone has not yet understood what is right and what is wrong, and whose side is the truth, after everything they have done to all ordinary peaceful people who just wanted to live, then I am sorry. It's a pity. I lose faith in humanity every day. Soon there will be no faith at all. Global justice does not exist - we understood this in the first weeks of the war, when we begged NATO to close our once peaceful and bright sky, which is still burning now. During this year, many well-known brands have still not left russia, russia has not been canceled, they are still being dragged everywhere. Their models have been in famous shows, their products are still being bought, they even made it to the Miss Universe pageant and other events. They still hold their marches abroad, they cling to Ukrainians all over the world. What can we talk about if a country in which human rights do not exist is still listed in the UN for human rights? I do not believe that the civilized world can allow all this and turn a blind eye, but it happens every day while our people die and our cities burn. And the world will then live with it. It's not for me to judge, but it's incredibly painful and unfair.

Thank you for reading this. This text was given to me very hard and emotionally. I squeezed myself into it with all my experiences and feelings. I don't want to be silent, I don't want my people to die, I don't want to think that criminals will go unpunished. There must be collective responsibility. We are not at war with cloned putins. We are at war with very real residents of russia, who deliberately put on military uniforms, took up arms, invaded another independent and sovereign state and began to indiscriminately kill everyone in sight. Their relatives and friends are real russians who support them, send aid and collect money for them. Quite real russians write on the Internet that they need to throw more missiles at us, wish death to children, scream about the mysterious 8 years from a propaganda technique. Real russians assemble new missiles at factories with their own hands and even leave their names on them, and they know for a hundred percent that these missiles are being thrown at civilians, but they don't care. Real russians on TV talk about Nazism and threaten to attack Poland, Britain, "repeat" in Germany, gather parades with inflatable rockets shouting "To Washington", and then blackmail everyone with nuclear weapons. Real russians go abroad and behave like pigs, get drunk and fight, and then hold completely cultureless parades in support of the war. Real russians even here write wild bloodthirsty comments, it is difficult for me to say how many of them I have already blocked. This is not putin's war. It's just that putin is in charge here. This is russia's war, don't forget that.

Support Ukraine if you have the opportunity. We will definitely win and we will not allow this contagion to spread further at the cost of the lives of our best people. It hurts, it's hard, but we will manage. We've been holding on for a year and we'll never give up!

I'm fine, but I'm too focused on some things, so I forget to show signs of life on social media. I hope my periodic disappearances do not cause you worry.
How things are going, in short: I'm drawing commissions all the time, because I have a lot of work right now and I'm trying to get through it quickly. I'm giving them out little by little and they all will be ready soon!
While there is no electricity, I get used to working on the iPad - it is an incredible experience and I have found many interesting functions and possibilities. Now, unfortunately, I draw very slowly and so far only sketches, but it already helps me a lot in the work process. Also, in my free time, I flip through my new book on anatomy by Bammes, write notes and make sketches of muscles and bones. To consolidate my muscle learning, I go to the gym and build my muscles hehe
Also, I am currently actively working on a new design for my FA page, so you will see something new here soon. I hope to have time to do it this month, although I was going to finish it in January. Well, you know, I am full of enthusiasm and never calculate my opportunities and time. Planning is still a lot of fun though :D

Hallo, my darlings!

Sorry that I am so slow with writing events, this week turned out to be too chaotic and stressful. Since Friday, I can't put everything together, I don't have time for anything and I'm constantly nervous. There is no point in writing about it, but on Friday we had another blackout. Very unpleasant thing. And its echoes haunted me for several more days in the form of poor communication and a crazy number of power outages. My house seems to be cursed, everything around is glowing and only it is like a kingdom of darkness. Until today, everything has more or less returned to normal.

But Friday was terrible, the whole day there was no electricity, no water, no Internet, there was no even a normal mobile connection. The scariest part is that I didn't know what was going on. I couldn't call anyone, I couldn't read the news. The air alert notification did not reach me due to no network. When it all started, I didn't know about it until I realized that I was in complete isolation.

The day before the massive shelling, I had a lot of plans. I think, just like the majority of Ukrainians who want to know what will happen tomorrow. I can't even plan, it's all going to hell anyway. But what is the difference. This is not the first mass shelling, not the first blackout and, unfortunately, probably not the last. I really learned to live with it and when you think about the terribleness of such a habit, it becomes somehow anxiously... I didn't even understand what happened then. I couldn't get through to anyone, but that didn't surprise me, because it happens quite often. I went to the gym, not knowing that there was an air raid alert, so I was kicked out. My boyfriend said he heard explosions and I slept through them, it's not even funny...
We later learned that an air defense system had gone off above us, and the debris had hit critical infrastructure, causing the water supply to stop throughout the city. I was happy that I had time to take a bath the day before.

On the same day, we were supposed to go to Kyiv for a work party. I have been preparing for this for a very long time. I also planned to stay the night and pick up my new iPad the next day. Thanks to you and your support, I finally collected the required amount. I already had a clear plan of action and hoped that nothing would hinder me.
But until the afternoon, we could not even contact Kyiv to find out how they are doing. It turned out that the subway does not work, and a taxi costs like a kidney. I was very upset because of all this, and the rain outside was terrible, it made everything even sadder. So my boyfriend took me out to eat. It is good that most establishments in the place switched to generators. While we were sitting in the cafe, I tried to call the Apple store and reserve an iPad. My friend, who was going to go to Kyiv by car, came to the rescue.

The next day I called a store again. They found the iPad I wanted to buy and reserved it for me for the weekend. But this issue was resolved in the evening and we did not have time to go after it. Instead, we gathered with friends at my house and discussed future plans. In general, it is quite difficult to plan at least something, when everything can collapse at one moment due to the shelling of the damned russians...

And now it finally happened, a friend brought my new iPad! I have been waiting for this for a long time and immediately fell in love with it. I have never worked with Apple, this is new for me, but it turned out to be more convenient than I thought. So I am incredibly happy, although it cost me a lot of nerves. I immediately installed all the necessary programs and watched several tutorials. Now I'm trying to learn how to use this thing. It's very unusual, but still cool! I hope I will get the hang of it soon.

I never thought I could afford it. A huge thank you to everyone who helped me! You are amazing, I really appreciate your support and kindness. As I promised, I will draw the art for the largest and smallest donation, but only after I finish the current commissions. Right now I'm a little overwhelmed with the amount of work, but I'm sure the work will go faster. Thank you all for your understanding and patience, I do my best not to keep you waiting too long. While I don't have electricity, I try to draw on the iPad. So far, the art I've drawn looks very crooked, so I don't want to show it to anyone yet, but I'm already starting to make progress. I would also like to ask you to support my compatriots who are in the same difficult situation. Now they really need your help! Every dollar counts and brings each of them closer to their goals.
