Lately I've been trying my best to annotate my interest in artwork and people. It's so easy nowadays to click +watch and +fav and contribute nothing except an arbitrary number to someone's page. When commenting, saying how and why you like a picture, with critique if something went wrong is far more valuable to an artist than "mmm sexy".

It's hard to respond to everything sure, but acts of interest and analysis can brighten peoples view of their work. Most people spend hours working on something that only gets a few seconds notice, try to make those seconds matter.

Who likes shrinking?

Shrinking people, shrinking objects, shrinking worlds;
Half size, quarter size, plushie size, toy sized;
Being shrunk, shrinking others, already shrunk to begin with;

Let's hear it, want to see more micro and shrinking artwork in the future, or keep to the big stuff?

Been thinking about doing a regular stream where people can come watch, participate in art sketches and the like. But I can't decide which day or days I should host one. Or even the times of day!

Presuming that because I'm GMT +0, I'm most likely 5-7 hours ahead of you, what times of which days are you most likely free to watch things like art streams?

On the 19th I shall turn 23 years old, the unofficial start of when I go from young adult, to just plain 'adult', I think. If it's higher I sure don't know that! In either case.

Since I've been a bit lazy, and wish to do more. I'm going to say I'm planning on another Secret Code contest in the future, perhaps on my birthday if I'm not pulled into anything drastic like a dinner or party. And that means a chance to win a free drawing from me. Revised rules will be posted in a later journal, by then I will have hidden the code somewhere in AxelFlux

I may also offer bonus freebies depending on user participation, as I'm always on the lookout for interested watchers, insightful commenters, and people spreading the word about me. There are a few people in my records who are deserving of a little praise, this could be you!

In an effort to keeping up a reasonable update schedule, I posted a scrap (Now in the real scraps category) featuring a few characters I've been working on. One for Valkan and two new characters I hope to introduce at some point. There's one more I haven't yet shown that I also plan to introduce too. Lots of bigness to go around!

After over three years of faithful service, my tablet is starting to break down, a kind of loose wire at the base of the board which works when it's in the right position, but becomes extremely intermittent in others and non-functional in the rest. I found my nearest computer store doesn't have the facilities to repair tablets so now I have to try and find a place in my nearest city, if there is a place at all.

Sure I can use my sketch pad for pictures however it lacks the tools I'm used to on Photoshop, not to mention I can't even upload sketches that way due to a lack of a scanner. Tablets are expensive and I'm not in the position to spend hundreds, even in dollar form, to get a replacement, I can handle a repair fee though.

Tablets are such a good replacement for a mouse too, so precise and ergonomic.

Art Slumps
It's been a while folks but I thought I should update my watchers on my antics, my dip in updates stemmed mainly from an art slump I experienced recently, but thankfully I'm starting to recover and I'm expecting to submit more pieces in the near future. More journals wouldn't go amiss either since there's always something to talk about.

Bowser and fanart thoughts
After drawing a few original characters of mine; Axel, Tragard and Saul. I thought it would be nice to draw something else for a change, I haven't done any form of art tribute to my favourite shows so I thought I'd do a fanart piece next.

I decided to draw one of my favourite 'large' characters, Bowser! But don't get your hopes up folks, I'm not slapping a penis on him 'just because', I'd like to stay on-model for him, mainly because I have respect for the Koopa King. But I certainly wanted him to look BIG so I'll say keep watching because I hope to upload that sometime soon!

What would you like to see?
What about you watchers? What characters do you like drawn the most from TV shows and videogames? Big or small. I'd have to say that at the top of my head I do enjoy the Extreme Dinosaurs, an old saturday morning cartoon of musclebound dinosaurs with attitude. I might try drawing some of them to upload at some point.

But anyway, if you decide to write a comment, tell me what kind of characters you'd like me to draw some day and maybe I can spot some potential ideas from it.

After a wonderful turnout of favourites and a very meaningful comment from Kingdead, I've discovered that people LOVE coloured pictures, makes sense, it shows up better in thumbnails than black and white inks for sure. Because of this, I'm going to try to posting coloured works more often, and going back to update my earlier pictures with some more colour to make them pop out more. Sure it's more work, but if the people like, they like!

And in regards to KingDead, for being the only person bothered to comment on my work consistently, and for having a character concept that intrigues me. You're on my list, the good list! :)

The real point of my journal was to ask you, my watchers (and anybody who passes by), what kind of drawings do you like to see when you're surfing FurAffinity? What usually gets on your favourites' list faster than a LAN ping? What do you like to see going on in pictures, with characters, scenes and environments?

Because you know, I may be tempted to try some of them out :P

Rates start from £2.50 to a maximum of £20, no fixed rates given that I charge by complexity, not by how many characters or backgrounds you want done.

I will draw for you anything that can be labelled Clean or Mature by FA standards, no Adult rated content. I know I just lost most of the fanbase right there but I wanted to make that clear. Aside from that I'm opening to almost any subject matter, vanilla or fetishy. Don't let my gallery fool you, I'm technically capable of drawing anything, not just musclebound giants.

I also practise art emulation, if you're looking for a commission in a certain style, I'll be happy to negotiate with you, if references are available!

If interested send me a note with a paragraph explaining what you're like to see drawn, you may provide any links necessary to help with the process. Additionally it would be useful to provide the level of finish you want for your piece, like do you want a sketch or ink, do you want colour or not?

I will reply back with an estimated price and if agreed, I will begin working on the piece in time. Please note the estimated price is NOT the final price, though in good faith the final price will not be more than the estimate.
