I hadn't said much before, hoping that they would do the right thing and reassure people on some things. They did not do that. At first I was really upset to hear about RMFC closing, but today I am more disappointed than anything lol. ANYWHO. What does that mean for this doberman and cow?

A potential replacement convention, "Mile High Fur Con", is being planned to take place in Denver. That's.. pretty much all I know about it tbh. It's something to keep an eye on for sure, and they're already taking the right steps to becoming a convention, but I hope that they don't feel rushed and take the time to really flesh themselves out. From what I've seen, they plan on having a convention in 2018/19. If they do become a thing we'll probably check them out, because it's the closest of any conventions, and I really want to try to help support the CO community with rebuilding a convention.

The next closest convention to us (driving time) is 12 hours away at BLFC, or "Biggest Little Fur Con" in Nevada. It looks really good, but we wouldn't be able to make it this year because of time restraints. And if we're looking at anything further than that we'd have to fly; at that point we may as well go big, right?

So we're highly considering attending Furpocalypse in Connecticut this fall. It's a little late in our travel season, being the weekend of Halloween, but it is about the same size as RMFC and is also the state that Pippin grew up in and has family in, so we figured we'd hit two birds with one stone. It would also be our first time flying with fursuits, so that'd be another challenge to face.. But we would really like to attend a convention this year, it's the one time we're able to take a vacation and why not spend it with fur friends?

Soooo yeah! If anyone has suggestions of other conventions that are reasonably priced (not anthrocon, at least not this year or next lol) that are in the US, feel free to toss them my way!

People keep suggesting that I start up a convention here in Wyoming.......... I dunno if that's something people would be interested in, esp since it's kind of..... barren. lol.

Heyo I feel like i should try to be more active on here LOL

hope everyone's having an okay end of the year, I know it was hard for a lot of us but I'm happy you're still here ;u; and I hope that 2017 brings you happiness and joy.

Long time no.. update. It's both been really busy and yet not busy at all lately that there hasn't really been anything to document on here. September went by in a flash, and was really hard for us; we lost most of our animals in a span of two weeks due to old age, and to have it all happen at once was just.... heartbreaking. We had to put my cat down, we lost 4 out of 5 rats, and even our betta passed. :c

October was pretty uneventful, I picked up a few more hours at work which is nice, buuuut yeah. Nothing too new.

HOWEVER. For Halloween, @makkiwolf, @omasaki, and I all kinda pulled a last minute and went downtown for a couple of hours! Our town holds an annual trick or treating event on main street, so we bopped around and had a lot of fun. Soooo many hugs and photos with the kids! Definitely gonna make it a point to go every year now. >u<

Hello everyone! We got back home on Sunday, but I've been pretty much sleeping the last few days so I hadn't had a chance to sit down and write a journal about RMFC. xD I'll try to keep it short.

So we drove down Thursday night and got to the main hotel right around midnight, which wasn't too bad compared to our recent CO trips (getting down there 1-2 AM was awfullll). Check in easy peasy, unloading pretty easy, got to our room... and saw that it wasn't what we had reserved. Too tired to deal with it we went ahead and went to bed. When we woke up we decided to just leave it as it was, and use the extra bed for fursuit stuff. xD

Friday - FIRST DAY! Had to wait in line for everrrr for Pippin to register, since it wasn't until after pre-reg was closed that we knew we were going to the con. I had decided long before that even if I couldn't go, I wanted to register to support the convention, so I was in and out super quick. We ate in the restaurant in the lobby and headed to the dealer's den, where we BEELINED to Etuix and Idess's booths. <3 It's always so much fun talking to them! We ordered our yearly at-con badges from Etuix, picked up my con-exlusive pre-ordered badge from Idess, and after a few minutes of chit chat we walked around the rest of the dealer's den. The room it was in was huge! I LOVED how much space was in there. The only downside was having to walk a really long way down some fairly small hallways to get to the dealer's den. The day went by super fast as we suited, rested, and went to the den one ore two more times.

Saturday - Pretty much a repeat of Friday. Ate at the restaurant for breakfast, went to the dealer's den, and we heard that the fursuit parade had been cancelled and replaced with a meet and greet. Disappointed, we decided to pop around the dealer's den for a little longer, taking the time to look through books and such. As we were leaving, we walked past the room that the fursuiters were gathered in, to find out that the parade had been reinstated and it was about to start. I was so upset about that! We quickly walked through the hallways so we wouldn't get stuck for the parade and rested in the room while I calmed myself down. I LOVE participating in the parades, and I was really disappointed to hear that they only announced the parade on twitter. Mreh. Rest of the day was fursuiting, dealer's den, and eating/resting. While we were in our room we decided to go to @lemonbrat's booth and pick up some partials for ourselves! Pippin really wanted a saber that was there, but when we got there it had sold; instead, we got a lynx and a husky, which are super fun! We immediately ran up to our room and put them on, and went back down to the den so lemonbrat could get a photo of us. By the time we were done with that, my back was really sore; while I love my husky, he's just heavy enough to really irritate/hurt my back.

Sunday we got up bright and early, grabbed breakfast, and headed down to the dealer's den to say goodbye to Etuix and Idess, pick up some last minute art, and rush up to the room to pack and head home.

I feel like this was a really short weekend, probably because we didn't stay a day early/late like we normally do. We already know we're for sure coming back next year, so we'll probably plan a little better! It was awesome to see everyone, old and new, at the convention. <3 While this hotel/con had its downsides, it was still a ton of fun. To RMFC 2017!

Alright, so Pippin and I decided kind of last minute that we want to go to RMFC this year. We were going to skip it in hopes of moving, but that's kind of come to a halt as we realized that the rental market is suuuuper difficult to get into long distance. xD We were hoping to move to Colorado, but it's just crazy down there, with houses being put up in the morning and taken off by the same afternoon. x.x SO we're gonna just take it a bit slower as far as moving goes, maybe look into some other states, see how my parents feel about Oregon when they go visit in a few weeks... xD

LIFE IS GOOD, for once? My brother's home from college and I got him a small part time job at my work and while he's still working on fitting in, I think it will be good for him. My parents had been bugging him a LOT to find a job and I'm glad I was able to help him out. He comes and hangs out after he gets off work too so that's fun. n.n

We are looking in to moving somewhere late July/early August down to Colorado. We kinda realized that moving back to CT just isn't really realistic/feasible right now, and that's okay I guess. My grandparents are starting to go downhill and I'd like to stay at least a little closer than all the way across the country. One day we may move to Connecticut/the east coast, but for now the west still calls our name.

We MIGHT make it to RMFC this year, depending on when we're moving. Right now I'm saying 'don't count on it', just because it would suck to get all excited and not be able to go. So we'll see! I did go ahead and purchase a membership though just to support the con. We'll definitely be there for 2017!

Not too much else going on right now, just same ol' stuff. Been playing a lot of Destiny on the PS4, but -shrugs-

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've posted on here, although I do come on every day. xD So a little life update!

First of all, happy holidays to everyone! I hope the year is ending well for everyone. ;u; I know that things are starting to look up a little bit for me and Pippin.

She got a new job and LOVES IT, and we're almost sad that we're moving next year because it's just... amazing. It's literally the perfect job for her and everyone she works with loves her. I'm really happy for her. c: And I'm still with gamestop, which is going well. I'm probably going to get promoted in the next month or two because our assistant store manager is leaving and my boss is going to promote one of the key holders to that position which leaves the key position open... to me. Because I'm the only reliable part time person. pfff. Anyways. Yeah! Kinda excited about that.

I FINALLY broke down and bought an Xbox One last week while GS had a sale going on, and then I went back and bought some games for their B2G1 sale. |D Pippin and I have been playing a LOT of Diablo III, which is really amazing on the console; we've both played it through on the PC, but the console is just so much smoother/better as far as buttons go, in our opinions. I've also been playing through Minecraft Story Mode just for the reference for work since none of the others will touch it. It isn't /bad/, but it's just one of those 'facepalm' sort of games.

For the PS4 I've been bouncing between Tales of Zesteria and Sword Art Online: Lost Song, both of which are amazing! Really well done games imo.

Since the announcement of Bayonetta coming to Super Smash Brothers, I picked up the game for the Wii U and have been playing a little bit of that off and on. Really interesting! I'm not sure how I feel about it -quite- yet, but. Alas. xD

Nothing new on the 3DS, really, just because of the overwhelming amount I'm putting into the other consoles. No love for the 360 at the moment either, since the Xbox One arrived. |D

SO NOW THAT I'M FINISHED NERDING ABOUT GAMES...

-- April/May is when we're planning on moving back to Connecticut. Pippin has a couple of areas in mind, and I'm sure in the next few months we'll be going through various sites to figure out where we want to go exactly. I'm really really excited for this next step in our lives! I've never moved out of the town I live in, but I have had the opportunity to travel a lot, so I'm not going to be /completely/ new to city life, but it'll be a big change for me. I think the sacrifice of having to deal with a lot of people will help a TON with having access to everything I can imagine. There's pretty much nothing out here in Wyoming, so I'm really happy for the change.
-- I plan on starting testosterone later in the year once we've settled down from moving! As I mentioned above, there's nothing in Wyoming, including any sort of access to hormone therapy. I'd have to travel at least 6 hours to the nearest one, and I can't do that drive on my own because of my disability. So that will be suuuuper awesome.
-- I also am thinking I will commission my Dylan suit next year! Or at least try to. I've got a general price from a couple of makers and I think I've figured out who I want to make him, but moving is first priority so we'll see how much I've got left over after that. x3
-- I am going to work my hardest to try to get a little more in shape. Because my back is so bad I've really let myself go, and while I'm not very 'overweight' persay, I am extremely out of shape and get out of breath just climbing 3-4 steps. Even if my back never feels better and continues to put up a fight, I want to at least be able to breathe when I'm in pain instead of wheezing and feeling like I'm going to collapse.

I don't have much excuse for dropping off the face of the earth. Just really overwhelmed with stuff.

Things are boxed and ready to ship, I just haven't had the energy to get them shipped, I'm sorry. Daily migraines make it hard for me to go get the things I need. I will be shipping them soon even if I have to send them off with my fiance.

I've been really busy recently with doing some deep cleaning for a yard sale (funds for RMFC woo) around the house, but hopefully soon I'll have some time to take pictures of suit shenanigans!

Axel is still with otter.n.daughter for his upgrades, but we've got two new suits joining the family! Crumbles, a springer spaniel, and Pippin, a cute little cow. Crumbles is a full suit and Pippin is going to be a complete partial. We're really excited about them!

I am currently sitting in a hotel bed resting after my really small operation this morning. It's called an operation but it's just a steroid shot to my SI joint, the joint where your leg goes in to your pelvis bone, you know? Seems that it went well but won't really know until next week probably.

so other than that! I am wayyyyyy excited for Axel to get his legs and arm sleeves! He'll be a 3/4ths partial when he comes back to me. :'D I'll probably take more pictures in suit too! I really want to be able to walk around a lot more with him.

I kind of want to hop on the angel dragon train and create a character, but I don't even know where to begin. I'm really tempted to just either turn one of my current dragon OC's in to an angel dragon or make an angel dragon version of my otter fursona. :P haha.

As far as fursuit building/the Sohjo project, that's come to a halt. My nerve pain has been getting worse and it's been harder and harder for me to sit or stand for more than 20 minutes at a time, making working on anything really difficult. I really want to try to get it done but at the same time, I'm really just starting to lose motivation for it.

A few weeks ago we bought a toony sugar glider head and tail from sharpe19. :D Her name is Nova! She's super cute. I'll have pics up of her sometime too haha.

Animal Updates! We rehomed 3 of our rats to their original owner so we could cut down on our numbers a little and they really liked the trio and asked if we would be willing to give them back. Everyone else is doing well! Two of our rats are starting to show old rat symptoms though.. :c Ah well. Goldfish are well, bettas are well, and we are bringing home a ghost morph leopard gecko tomorrow! I am really excited about that too. I might upload a couple of pictures here of the zoo. ;u;

Hmmmm... what else... everything overall is pretty well, just minor stresses and stuff. Just taking it day by day and trying my best to keep my chin up despite all the road blocks!
Super excited about RMFC. c: Definitely taking Axel, not sure if we're going to take Aaron, Cooper, or Nova though. We really want to try to focus on being out more and getting more pictures and videos! So Taryn might just opt out of suiting and be the cameraman for the weekend. x3 We'll see! Still have a while to decide :D
