Tonights Project - Wheel of Watchers.
General | Posted 13 years agoWell given that my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving is coming. I'm going to do something special for the next 3 nightly art projects so without further introduction. LIVE from West Coast USA via Seattle, Washington please give it up for.
WHEEL OF WATCHERS!!
That's right. The next 3 nightly projects will be selected from a giant wheel of current watchers and you won't know until the project is done but if you're watching then you have a chance. Let's go ahead and give it a first spin.

The Preemptive Busted Badge Commission FAQ
General | Posted 13 years agoQ: Why all the gift badges for friends?
A" Its practical practice. Its one thing to do up a friend but in the case of 3D modelling, it just feels like a waste to make models and just have it sit there on the hard drive with just one screenshot of it on FA. A badge does a lot more with whats already had hours of effort invested into it. The second reason is that my friends offer a great variety of species to work with. I'm not making example of anyone in particular but I've noticed throughout there years, there are a great number of artists whom appear to be stuck in "canid" mode. Where most of their own on non-canid species like raccoons still look like a wolf with just the coloration of a raccoon. I don't want to stagnate on drawing just one species to the point I'm stuck so this kind of practice is for getting into a good habit of staying flexible.
Q: So are you going to take commissions?
A: Yes, starting Mid-November till Further Confusion 2012
Q: Sweet: How much are they going for.
A: I got my finger in the wind but as of now $30 is in my head
Q:Why the need for money?
A: Aside from being out of a job, I'm saving up for ZBrush which is a pretty penny if you're not a student and... I'm not a student
Q: Cool- cool but if I were to commission you, what can I expect in terms of shape and style.
A: Have a look at my gallery to date and that is largely what you can expect: A bust-styled render with lettering. In terms of style, I try to come to medium between toon and realistic enough so that if its a fox or a raccoon, you can make the distinction at a glance. In a nutshell, I go from medium-toonish to fat n' puffy. In the future, I'd like take on challenges closer to realism but that's later next year.
Q: Can you render fur as well?
A: No, I'm not at that level yet. I'm a baby in terms of that kind of artistry but I will get there because I personally love beautiful fine fur renders. Check out
jackthorn for someone who can do some gorgeous fur renders.
Q: How best can I communicate with you while my badge is being made?:
A: I try to use any means possible but I prefer to instant message over AIM or YIM so I can send the previews directly and get request for changes there. Its much quicker than posting note by note on FA but I do that as well. All together I use the following;
Steam, FA, Skype, AIM, YIM, Google+, GMail, and Twitter
Q: Oh Crap! My Badge!- Its Gone!!
A: Oh I hate it when that happens. This is why each badge and its source material (both texture and wavefront) will be available at your request (and soon available at bustedbaddges.sootyroo.net). For a small fee of $5, the badge can be reprinted, remade, and shipped OR you can download the source image, print it, and laminate it yourself- no waiting.
Q:When the image for the badge is made, is it okay to post it on my FA?
A: Yes! Very Yes. In fact, I won't post it on my FA until I get your permission to do so. It's yours- you're in control.
Q: Um... I don't exactly have a reference sheet to use for my badge commission.
A: That's okay. In the cause of not having a reference sheet or "style of preference" for yourself. I normally go through any images provided by yourself or FA and work to come up with good medium between the various material while posting previews at certain points of development.
Don't let a lack of a reference sheet deter you :)
Q: How many slots will there be?
A: For reasons of not biting off more than one can chew, I'm starting off with 5 slots. If all goes smooth, more will open up.
Q: I've got more questions about Busted Badges
A: I'll be glad to hear them. The earlier the better. Send them via Note or sootyroo [at] gmail.com

RF Round-Up & PandaGuy ........................... GoodBye
General | Posted 13 years agoSo Rainfurrest 2012 was the very first time I've attended a con as an artist instead of the usual fursuitter I normally am as Fizzle, Heyyoo, or Quello. The truth is, I'm satisfied with my ability to perform in suit. I've done it for more than a decade for non-profs, businesses, anthropaws, conventions, and other public events- I am happy with me in that regards and even more so about all the people whom later became true friends I've met on my journey to become a proficient costumed character performer. Don't get me wrong, I will still continue to perform until God almighty shows up with my number but this year I wanted to chase down different stories from a side of the fandom I've only spectated but have never participated in: Art
I came with my two badges, one for me: Axelroo and one for my main fursuit; Quello and yeah, I was there to show them off to friends and to see what other kinds of attention they would get. Through that and just hanging out doing other artwork during the off-peak times, I've met a lot of individuals in the Dealers Den. The same dealer's I've passed each and every year before for the last 12 years.
flinters was my main source for any introspective on commercial furry artistry but now I'm using my own two feet and tail and getting interesting stories and genuinely meeting artists for the first time. Mission Accomplished. During that time, I've worked on a fursuit badge for a friend who had gotten a new meerkat fursuit (only one in mah gallery) and a second one for a roomie. Largely, the con ended on a good note but sadly the brutal month of September did not. On that very Sunday night which is September 30, 2012 at 11:30 PM via Twitter, I had learned that Jon Albers aka: Panda Guy had passed away to kidney and heart failure. Compared to most, Panda Guy was a recent friend whom I've met while looking for a room for FC 2012 but we've talked quite a bit over Skype 6 months prior to FC and have got to know him even better when we roomed at FC. I knew he was in bad shape to previous complications but I sincerely was sure he was going to be around a while longer. I was in tears for most of Monday just reflecting on FC 2012 and the time together. I still have a hard time looking at my Skype contacts seeing PandaGuy's yellow "Away" icon. I don't wanna remove it hoping one day it would go green again. I haven't responded to many of the posts about his death because just talking about it makes me too emotional.
The words I have difficulty saying are the one's I mean the most: GoodBye
https://youtu.be/RKLPFDLJ6hA
Goddamn you, September.
That said, a preemptive post about badge commision next journal.

Spammin Salmon Day's - Public Fursuiting Video
General | Posted 13 years agoPossibly the biggest and best public fursuiting even yet. Just to clarify, my character in the video is called "Heyu" but the actual name is Quello. Heyu is also a misspelling for "Heyyoo" which is my older suit. Other than that, enjoy! Oh, and thank you once again

Top 10 BGM Tracks.
General | Posted 13 years agoI can't sleep so its time to talk about something. How about another Top 10 list of... yeah, Video Game tracks. Some of these you'll know as for once I actually had a Nintendo Entertainment System around the same time everyone else did. To my regret, my parents would never buy Super Nintendo after that because it was sure badass when it came to sound. In the world of remixes, some of these tracks will never see the light of day again but they're still firmly planted in my memory so I'll try to post a link or video to the original and a favorite remix if available. So without further banter, let's dive into the cobwebs of my half NES half DOS v5.1 mind.
#10 Bio Menace: Episode 3: The Circle of Death
Before Duke Nukem and the Doom Franchise there was Snake Logan from Apogee. PC action games for DOS were taking shape and alas so was the Ad-Lib sound system. However Ad Libs synth libraries were very limited so there were a lot of good tracks which didn't turn out so good in this game just because of Ad Lib but this track actually stood out and not too soon just before the Final Boss: Master Cain
https://youtu.be/_dqLK8-qjxw
#9 Unreal Tournament 2004: From Below
One of the best versions in my opinion as it included a game mode I still play to this day: INVASION. And what better music to make your adrenalin pump than this track when you your stuck behind a thin wall with a death train coming straight at you.
https://youtu.be/KPAF4YOmMwM
#8 Jill of the Jungle: Episode 2: Water (aka: Moby Dick)
I had such a hard time finding this track! Again, this music was nicely composed but the Ad Lib synthesizer libraries hadn't done it any justice and alas no remix of this though it would kick ass with a classical cover especially over the rough high seas Yarrrrrrg!
https://youtu.be/Ue6VxK-iMW0
#7 Fatal Fury 3: Jin Chonsu (1st Boss)
I never forgot this track because It had done something I hadn't heard in a fighting game before: in the same track it transition from a cutscene, to a dialogue, and into the match and I certainly fell in love with updated Orchestral arrangement. In my opinion Jin Chonsu was way to easy of a boss but her music will always be badass!
https://youtu.be/SRbe2fZ7HoM
#6 Samurai Showdown - Earthquake's Stage
https://youtu.be/yfvuj403Y0c
This track is most definitely in my combat collection especially for arid environments. Its too bad I haven't come across any good remixes of this. Oh well, nothing like the original
#5 One Must Fall 2097 - The Power Plant
Anyone who has played the Demo or the Full Version from Epic MegaGames and Diversions Entertainment knows this stage and has had the delight of hearing this stage every tournament. The Power Plant is an anchor to One Must Fall as Ryu is to Street Fighter. Its so well remembered that there is actually an abundance of remixes for this stage and quite recent in fact so one video for the original and two for my favorite remixes. Note: You Must Dance really gives me a "Fight For Your Life" kind of emotion

#4 Jazz Jackrabbit: TubeElectric
Yeah, I know. There's a lot of Epic MegaGames in my youth. While most kids where enjoying Super Nintendo and some N64 titles, I was hanging outside the Shareware Outlet wondering if any titles there would catch up to the mainstream. I remember it fondly just sitting there at the table sipping on an Orange Julius when this track hit my ear:
Original:

Jazz 2: Remix
https://youtu.be/FI1HJWTTZ3c
#3 MegaMan 2:Bubbleman Stage
I know I'm not alone on this title. Aside from tight controls, the music was the next draw to this title and I was no exception. It was a tight race with Air Man stage but I found myself going after Bubble Man much more so I could keep hearing his music. Yeah, screw you Wiley! Just give me the music........ bitch!
Original

Hydain Remix - I'm Bubble Man
https://youtu.be/hK4q30e9N9s
#2 Garouden Breakblow: Twist or Fist: Private Gym
Only in Japan.... only in Japan. This is indeed a game most of us haven't played because... only in Japan. I found the game play with the Tandem and Body Damage mechanics quite innovate but even more most of the music makes it feel like your in an epic struggle. Alas, there are no videos on Youtube with just the music from the game but the first fight has my favorite track.
https://youtu.be/I7c9LsA0OEI
#1 Tyrian 2000: Tyrian, ASSASIN!
Somehow I had sounded spot on when Microsol had made their first direct assault on me and I was never able to get it out of my head the first time through alas there was only one good remix of it but it was a damn good remix:
Original:

Technoguy's Remix:

Observations of a Roo
General | Posted 13 years agoI do information Technology and largely I believe its a good thing which should be used to bring people together. But why is it lately I can't jump into an online game with a "friend"? Usually I can find at least one game but dayum this week has proven to be exceptional. Meanwhile in the real world, the neighbor kiddy-corner to this house just bought a pool table and set it up in his garage. He invited me, a complete stranger to play and it was a good time. None the less, I'm starting to have my doubts about the Information Age regardless of being an engineer supporting it.
Maybe its one of the downsides or curses to being a roo; to be treated like a pest at times. That and maybe today's world has lost a dependable distinction between 'contact', 'acquantence' and 'friend' with the devil the devil waiting in the details whenever I hop a fence. Its a curse I'll bare. Any sooty kangaroo is accustomed to catching heat.

General | Posted 13 years agoI used to run a MineCraft Server in the days of Alpha and Beta but some new versions kept breaking the maps so I had to retire it for a while. Now that we're well out of Beta. I'm bringing a new one online called The Minetakers. Its Survival with a few twists for fun and role playing potential with players and player monsters. Anyway, I'm in the process of sniffing out latency issues with the server. If you're client is up to date and you're bored, hop on by and walk around a bit and let me know what works and what doesn't as I need to determine what mods to apply and how.

My Top 10 Belated 3D Inspirators
General | Posted 13 years agoSo lets talk about inspirations because for me, my situation is a little weird and I'll be frank; 3D was not my first love. The top spot in my life growing up was always wanting to hop in a suit and not be myself if you know what I mean. However, it doesn't mean there weren't elements of my second love which hadn't followed me through my childhood and onto today. In fact, I was growing up around the time 3D animation was also learning to ride a bike. With that said, lets take a trip back to the early 90's and climb on up in my Top 10 Belated Inspirations of my Second Love.
Number #10: The Minds Eye
This series was my very VERY first exposure to 3D animation and at the time, animations were smooth like they are today. They were very polygonal yet still amazing and I was certainly captured by the music which accompanied these shorts. This clip in particular was indeed the spark and of all things, a love story.
https://youtu.be/CYlAbrd05-A
#9: Beyond the Mind's Eye
Yeah, I could have bundles this with number 10 but it caught me by surprise when I was attending summer camp and they put this series up on the stage. Things were moving a bit faster and more of the graphics smoothed out but most importantly from this came the song I would never get out of my head. I had only recently found it again because I didn't remember the title back then. The Seeds of Life

Yeah this should be a given and its true that this series is anything but obscure (at least I hope it is). When you think of it, for many this is the first time we're introduced to characters whom were created in 3D from the ground up rather than based on someone formerly of a 2d cartoon variety and a world based on life inside a game computer.

Hmm... who is that mysterious "user"?
#7 Transformers: Beast Wars
So... what do you do when you are putting formerly 2d characters onto a brand new 3D plane? Make an alternative timeline and remake them while keeping most of the voices. Sounds cheesy, right but obviously they did something write because it sure had me tuning in solid for the first two seasons.

#6: Toy Story
Yes this is also a given but credit is due to where effort is true. 1998. Toy Story the first mainstream 3d animated movie of its kind and for 2 years on after its release was a phenomenon and a perfect demonstration of good 3D innovation and great writing as well which I can always appreciate cause trust me, bad writing can ruin a movie no matter how its filmed. Imma plug Pogo's remixed version of the first Toy Story.

#5: Shrek
Coming up from behind Pixar is Dreamworks who's company moto was "F@$% you, Disney/Pixar!". This film was the first birdie out the car window. I know it sounds mean-spirited but heck it was better than just trying to copy Pixar. Instead, their first venture went into the realm of fractured fairy tales.... every single one in existence and some they came up with at the spur of a moment. Duloc is indeed a perfect place.

#4: The Elephants Dream
At the time this short film came out. Maya and 3Ds Max were already well on the table however, the champion of the OpenSource world, Blender was learning to stand. A lot of potential animators might have been driven a little crosseyed and discouraged by its interface so the software needed something that could say to the creative community, "Hey, I can do this". That short film was, the Elephants Dream originally named "Machina". Ever to this day I'm still trying to decipher all its meaning. Never the less, this film got many creative minds going on what Blender could do then and especially now.

Watch out for the Hat-Snarlers
#3 Monster House
It was a toss up between Over the Hedge and Monster House. What can I say? They were both fantastic and being a furry I would have invested more my interest into Over the Hedge. So what sold me on Image Mover's mocap animation feature Monster House? It was the writing and one character in particular whom I still quote to this day, "GET OFF MY LAWN!!"... Mr Nebbercracker. I love him as a Villain, a Crank, a Hero, he really sells it- rest of the cast is good too. I remember fondly my friend Andrew growing up. We both had overactive imaginations which stemed fount of misadventure.

#2 Animusic
Easily one of the longest running 3d animations ever. Believe it for not, Animusic is a Christmas tradition for me. Its packed up with the ornaments and everything. I guess what captures me the most about Animusic is that the actual invention of these machines is very VERY plausible and heck, Intel is already hacking away at this idea.

#1 Big Buck Bunny
If the Elephants Dream was about what Blender could do at the time, Big Buck Bunny was about what Blender will do in the future and as you can guess, it was very welcomed short by furries for obvious reasons of rendering the largest most huggable bunny in existence but even more so, the capability of rendering fine fur on a model. I really hope someone makes a Big Buck Bunny suit.

So there you have it. From polygons to multimillion dollar presentations. Join me next time when I shred up some gems from the depths of METAAAAAAAL!!

Thoughts over the last half year & fursuit-makers (bottom)
General | Posted 13 years agoI never expected to be doing art of any kind of art ever. I've always been on the fursuit performance side of the fandom till the day I die. Is it just me, or does some kind of creative switch turn on in your 30's?
I like surprising friends and furiends with art. It's just a given that art is the best gift for any kind of furry. Unlike shopping for family at Christmas, there's just no question at all as to what to give to furries. Random acts of art- I love it.
3 of my next goals are to: 1. Create my own badge by Rainfurrest, 2. Do a con book submissions for Vancoufur, FurIdaho, and RF 3. Do my rendition of Fizzlecoon. He's the suit I wear at most cons but I want to take a second look at the overall design. Fizzle 2 may never come into fruition but its a step towards using what I've learned towards designing fursuits and modeling them out before cutting into foam.
It's not my intention anytime soon to do any kind of commissioning because I feel I do better when there isn't any matter of time. I'd morally feel obligated if I did charge to do a piece within certain amount of time. I've seen so many artist and fursuit makers bite off way more than they can chew. I don't want to by that guy.
I want ZBrush, damnit!
I would like to have another suit by RF.
I've learned over the past decade that two furs who are too much alike are more likely to lock horns. I've made it a point in the past few cons to get to know people who are not like me. It's been working out pretty good.
In my teens and 20's, video games were the shiz- today? Meh
I wanna live in a new place where I can put shelving on the wall without breaking the lease agreement. Heck, I'd switch out the flooring too.
I still wanna put on a childrens show. It's been my original dream since i was a kid myself and its what got me into this crazy fandom in the first place. I continue to do a lot of stuff for local non profits. In fact, a there are few pieces of art which went in their direction last week.
Furriness within the fandom is expected. Using furriness outside the fandom goes a much longer way. Doing art, repairing damaged costumes, or even just pitching ideas to get the word out about a certain organization or event, etc. All of those make a much better and lasting impression.
Too many people act like two guys getting in a fight let alone just arguing is unnatural. On the contrary, I feel its often better to let it happen, face the conflict before it gets worse down the road and lick your wounds afterwards. Often, it turns out it wasn't that bad or it flat out just wasn't meant to be. Furryness doesn't really cover all dimensions about your personality so confrontations really are a matter of "when" not "if" especially when certain people only know you as a furry. Or in other words, avoidance and ignorance is just another mechanism for a lethal implosion.
Why are most evil people and villains still today are bald?
Am I the only the only Kangaroo Island Roo in the fandom?
How is it Blackberry hasn't gone belly up yet?! I'm no kiddin- It is very clunky and cumbersome software.
When people ask for whom I would recommend for a fursuit commission, Its very hard for me to recommend one person. Again, I've seen so many makers bite off more than they can chew that I'm always worried about their bandwidth despite the quality of their previous works. Instead here some guidelines I pass along to people who have asked me
1. Locale. Its always a good move to commission some one at least in the same continent as you. I've heard from way too many friends and acquaintances whom have shelled out up to a couple thousand dollars to someone overseas then somewhere down the road, all communication goes black and the suit never comes to fruition or there is a flaw in the suit and needs to go all the way back. That's a flat out bitch in shipping. This is less likely to happen when said suit-maker is in physically approachable range.
2. Identity. There a lot new suit-makers coming out of the wood work all over the place and this my friend, is a good thing. I'm not gonna name any names but there are a lot of companies and groups here who can mass produce some quality good-looking suits- nothing wrong with that alone. The real problem is that people (as expected) buy up these suits in large number. The next thing you know at your next con is that a lot of suits have the same style of eyes and pupils, maybe even the same base shape of skull and nose, or even body suit. So much to the point that even when you know one species of suit is different from another they.... still look the same. All the finer details are uniform and after seeing so many of the same style they become (and the word I like to use) Ambiguous. Now this is just my biased opinion but for me, Identity is important. If you're a fox, what fine details set you apart from the fox next to you- again, the fine details, the shape of your eyes: are they tooney?, realistic? half-way? are they pinched at the edge of the face? Do you have heavy brows? You can ask these questions for literally every detail of your face and body. Having a different suit-maker do your suit just might make all the difference which sets you apart from the other wolves, huskies, and foxes (those just being common examples). In short, consider the style of newer or less known suit-maker to stand out amongst the others. I'm not just "roo", Im Axelroo.
Bandwidth: I'll make this short: Many suit-makers have bitten off more than they can chew in the last decade so always be mindful of how their queue looks because often suit-makers who do put out fantastic detailed work will likely have a full book so consider if the wait it\s worth it or if a newer suit-maker can do better. Better yet, if there is any doubt about any of these dimensions I've described,
Clients: Often suit-makes will post their commissioned creations on their FA Account. Sometimes, their clients are people you know or are acquainted with. Post a note or hop on IM and ask em. Aside from asking suit-maker yourself, they'll have a good idea of their quality and turn-around time.
I hope this advice lands you with a good quality suit-maker and that your suit is unique to you. I wish everyone to have a suit that spells them out to spec. I'm serious, I wish that even for people I don't like.

Thats one mean goo roo!
General | Posted 13 years agoHey Kids. As you know, its important to try to get along with with as many people as you can. To be curteous and to be polite. But I tell ya as you get older, you'll run eventually run into extremes of these unwritten laws. It comes to a point where the sake of politeness and not-hurting-anyone's feeling becomes more of a whitewashed mechanism used to control people as a core purpose while getting away with crap under the table. For me it got to a point where I didn't want to enter my own house after work... and I really hated my job back then. Its actually more natural for me to keep my mouth shut and back down hoping it would go away only to get worse and worse with more important things falling apart as I got older and this wasn't for things involving just me but loved ones as well. Wasn't till a couple years ago till I realized that aggression and anger has natural part in life and that trying to completely blot it out only creates a more hostile environment than should be. The conflict with being a furry is that everyone assumes you're to be happy and perky and more open than the hippiest hippie at all times but I say unto you don't let people use your involvement as a furry to contain you. At your core you still have things close to the core of you and your "sanctuary" (that one place you can go to rest no matter how bad the day has gotten) and sometimes the best thing to do is to do is swallow your fear of emotional outcomes and being condemned and get in their face. Its essential in some situations to let the whole deal explode before it becomes an even bigger explosion down the road and heck, you might just save the bridge because of it.
You gotta shake up some apple carts to get things moving again despite how others feel. Heck many people both furry and non-furry even passively try to you control in the sake of politeness. In other words, they're so used to it, its practically subconscious. If they can't handle you being frank, too bad. They can mute you or whatever or they can get off their duff and deal with it for once. Having said that I will proudly warn everyone and if you feel the same, let everyone know the same.
I am a furry.
I will get in your face.
That is a promise
Deal with it.
K Thx

An End-of-the-World Confession - (coming changes)
General | Posted 14 years agoYikes! Its 2012 already and I'm about to shut out all news channels with all the crap that's coming through them. By now, I've been in the fandom since (counts fingers) 15 years now. I might not reach 16 years since the world is going to end this year so I figured I might as well spill the beans and clear up some misconceptions. A lot you from early on known have known me as an inflatable western grey (kangaroo island) kangaroo. All rubbery and shiney- make no mistake I _love_ rubber, latex, and balloonies. Others of you though have seen me all uber-fatty and fleshy and just all out large. You might have even seen my in the form of a simple or a party balloon. Everyone knows me in a different way. Normally if it has to do with being large, fat, round, spherical, bloated, subinanimate, blobby, and sometimes supersexy-femmy/hermy, I'm all into that. The artwork you seen of my covers a few of those tastes while others have seen me RP other tastes.
Naturally this begs a question after 15 years being so many things. "What is the real Axelroo?". Well I figured after all this time and since the world is going to end anyway well.... a certain friend actually spilled the beans about me around the last halloween:

(Pulls his zipper back up)
Don't worry. I don't eat sentients. I came into this fandom for the love of fursuits and performing in them. This outer shell you've been looking at all this time is just that but yeah- I'm a goo and to be honest I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be male or female- I'm more of an "it" on the inside and if you know what blobs like to do, it explains all the shifting and expanding stuff as well as the occasional inanimate-looking stuff. So yeah- I'm a monster but its the end of the world anyway so if it does happen, I might try to see what a city tastes like before I miss the chance.
Now that you know, you're gonna see some changes in my profile and signature. I've called many things but just for consistencies . sake, I'll stick with Axel Gooroo" As I'm getting more into 3d modeling, I'll be registering a new site for my honest goo self with new art, video, and redistributable waveform files for others to play around with or use for things such as Second Life and OSGrid. I wonder if kangooroo.com is taken.

General | Posted 14 years agoI've been looking for this song since 2001. Found it again by freak accident. This was one in a series of songs I used to wait for on the radio station to listen to when I was younger. Too bad I never paid attention to the artists name back then.

Pogo banned from the U.S.A by Homeland Security.
General | Posted 14 years ago.I don't go to many concerts but I was sure looking forward to this one around mid-October. I saw Pogo in concert in March of this year and it was a blast. The date was still set on his website: pogomix.net for his USA tour. But when I checked the venues list of shows for that evening, he was nowhere to be found. After further investigation and to my disbelief I found that due to a mishap on behalf of his booking agency, Pogo was detained and therefore his tour was cancelled. I had only hope they would deport him as soon as possible so he could get things sorted out with his now evasive- and possibly former, agency. It was 3 long weeks of relative isolation before he could return home. It wasn't the end however as brought to light by a twitter post this morning:
Banned From The USA: http://www.pogomix.net
Sure enough, there was posted copies of the documents from DHS with a fine little check mark next to banned from the US for 10 years.
I'm not one to complain much but if you enjoy this artist as much as I do, it might be time to get in Ms. Napolitano's hair because this recent motion by DHS is just as stupid as locking a child out of the house in order to catch a boogey man.
For those of you who don't know already. Pogo is a vjay who takes snippets of movies and other video medium and mashes them into an entirely new song using editing and waveforms against vocals. The rest is self explained here: http://www.youtube.com/user/faggotron

General | Posted 14 years agoComing Rainfurrest 2011
General | Posted 14 years agoThis year for RainFurrest 2011, I'll be doing a costume performance panel. Its been 2 years since I've done such but I'm aiming to keep this one just a bit more organized but just as insightfull as always. I've been doing costume characters since 1998 for both companies and organizations each of which have their own set of rules to be aware of. Even if going out with group or by yourself, there are always things to consider. So, if you plan to take your fursuits outside the scope of conventions, swing on by and I'll be happy to answer your questions. I'll post the day and time when its set in stone. As a side note and if everything goes according to plan, there will be a new fursuiting book available by the Evergreen Mob Costuming Group around the next Further Confusion. *fingers crossed*
