I'm honestly blown away by it getting this far, but I would still appreciate any further help people could give here. My first (?) appt is on wednesday, which is supposed to deal with the pain at least

tl;dr I've been dealing with a cracked tooth from an improperly placed filling since about this time last year. After a lot of back and forth it was finally determined that I need a crown. My insurance approved this and is almost entirely covering it, which was a huge relief. However, in the week and a half since getting the tooth prepared for the crown, I've been dealing with steadily increasing pain to the point that I can't effectively eat or sometimes even sleep. My dentist referred me to an endodontist on the assumption that I would likely need a root canal. This turned out to be correct.

Unfortunately, root canals are not at all covered by my insurance (well technically they are, but there are literally no endodontists "in network"). The cost of this is going to be about $1,600 out of pocket, which is more than I can really handle at the moment. I hate to have to ask for help, but I do not really have much choice.

I've set up a kofi goal for this amount, and I would greatly appreciate any and all assistance here.
