General | Posted 11 years agoHello! Long time no see! Just thought I would post some updates about art, cons, and suit commissions!!!
Firstly- I should be posting lots of pics here soon! many pictures from the most recent MFF that still need to be put up, and I also have lots of random art projects and commissions that i still need to post here as well! So keep an eye out...
Secondly~ An update on Conventions that I will be at in the up coming future, FWA! Megaplex!, and now *as of this morning* Anthro con! =D I'm very excited to say that AC will be a GO for my first time ever this year! With the recent apocalyptic raid on the opening of room slots for the Westin, my good friends
and 
were able to secure a SUITE before general room slots opened this morning for Jojo, Janie, Sh3wolf, myself, and 2 other guest! SOOOOO not only will we be able to make the con, BUT it will also be in a SUITE AT THE WESTIN!!! *Flails and runs around* So i'm really excited for that ^^. If anyone else reading this is also going, we should meet up!!! =D
Thirdly?- I do plan on posting a journal sometime this month of February, about up and coming Fursuit commission slots! I will only have available slots for about 3 people unfortunately. BUT, I will have all of that sort of info and things like that in my next journal on the subject! So if your interested, keep a lookout, and by all means feel free to message me if you have any questions or comments. General | Posted 11 years agoI would love to say thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts on the tragedy that happened last week to 
and his family. Things are certainly still not easy to accept or deal with, but your kinds words were greatly appreciated and I thank you for your support. Its very odd continuing on with daily life after everything, but with the support of friends, and my mate, I hope to keep moving forwards and support Shonuki's family as they progress on. Thanks again everyone! *hugs*

General | Posted 11 years agoI'm extremely sorry and hurt to say that , One of my best friends and Fraternity brothers left us this morning while driving to work.
Sean Miller, also known as Taiko the Tanuki to some, was honestly one of the greatest friends I had ever had the fortune to be close to. We both played together in the same marching band, were both active in Phi Mu Alpha fraternity, and shared interest in the same crazy messed up things that true 90's guys would like.
Taiko was one of the most talented musicians I knew. Playing horn, baritone, mellophone, he was alway top chair in the university symphony band. He also was a skilled composer. Arranging many songs that are currently played in many bands in the southeast. He was also beginning his new career as an amazing high school band director. After only 4 months of teaching, he had improved the quality of the music program and the quality of his students to such a level that had never been experienced at the school before.
He was an amazing friend,fur, husband, and father. He was always able to bring joy and laughter into any situation. My mate Sh3wolf and I had known him and his family for many years. Spent countless hours together hanging out, playing music together, singing, traveling, drinking, playing games or just watching tv. Its unbearable to think of how easily someone so special to so many people could be stolen away so quickly and unexpectedly.
I, his friends, family, children, and students will miss him greatly.
I hope everyone who reads this will be reminded of just how precious life is, and how quickly it can be taken away from us. I wish the best for everyone and I hope all are safe this new year.
He leaves behind his wife,
2 year old daughter Madilynn, and 1 more baby that is on the way.
Taiko originally started into the furry fandom in part because of his exposure to my mate and myself. He loved the fandom and started to draw more art, and eventually wanted nothing more than to have his own fursuit and attend his first ever furry convention. We all enjoyed the fandom together and eventually Taiko was inspired to make his very own partial fursuit. Starting out we all pitched in and little by little, his new suit was taking form. Unfortunately however, he never got to see his character created before his passing.
Sh3w0lf and I feel like if we could do anything in honor of our great friend, it would be to finish the project that he started, and to bring his character to life. So hopefully soon, we hope to finish Taiko's suit and to share our friend with everyone. To at least in some little way, fulfill his wish.

I've been super busy as of late running around doing holiday shenanigans as well as looking for work. So I've been a little away from the site as far as posting new things. General | Posted 11 years agoWell The time has come! I've gotten a pretty decent amount of interest in suit work these past few months, and I think I'm about ready to official "open" up for some new slots!
This journal is to try and get at least a look into who would all be possibly interested in getting a suit. This is NOT an official opening or chance to get a slot, just merely to see how many people, and what kind of line up it could possibly be once I do open up.
Also this is a good chance to ask for a quote on how much a suit would cost. There is nothing binding in this, just a chance for whoever to see how much their suit would cost if they were to choose me to make it.
Every suit is different and people want different things included with their suits, so here is a base price list to sort of familiarize everyone on where things start out at.
Base fursuit prices- (up to 3 fur colors, follow-me eyes, and static jaw) (Style can be toony or Realistic)
- Partial suit (Head, arms, tail, head and feet paws) -$800.00 USD
- Full suit (Head, body, tail, and hand and feet paws) - $1,500.00 USD
- Full suit (Digigrade) includes same as full suit but has added padding for digigrade look. - $1,800.00 USD.
Extras that would add to the price include
-Moving jaw
-Lots of different fur colors (More than 3)
-Difficult body markings or designs (lots of spots or stripes)
-LED eyes
-Silicone paw pads,
-Horns or other props
-Realistic head style
Payment plans are also available if anyone is concerned about paying in full. So no worries! ^^ I hope to make the most affordable suits that I can.
So if you are indeed interested, reply and post a ref of your character and what you would like in a suit and i'll give you the expected price range. Also if you have any other questions let me know.

Holy Crap 800+ and whats up!?
General | Posted 11 years agoHey guys! Just want to say thank you again to all of my new watchers and everyone that watched me from the beginning! I'm now up past the 800 mark!!! =D Its an odd feeling, but thank you so much! ^^ I look forward to posting more art and more suit work in the future soon.

I just got back from spending an amazing time with my mate <3 the past 2 days, and now i'm going to watch some fooseball with the family and then get back to work come Sunday. I'll probably be ordering more fur for another suit project today, as well as starting up some paws for a specific piano woofer. Other than that, I also have some art commissions that i need to start and get finished.
So what has everyone else been up to? Have any plans for the rest of the week? Let me know about them! =D

Halloween body paint question!!????

I need to make my mate Green this halloween and I would love it if whatever we used didn't come off to easily or get everywhere when she touches things link clothes or other items. General | Posted 11 years agoYes! Today marks 4 years now that and I have been together! ^^ These have been the best years of my life seriously! We have done so much together and grown so close, I couldn't imagine being with anyone else. I love my Sherara!!! =D
and I have been together! ^^ These have been the best years of my life seriously! We have done so much together and grown so close, I couldn't imagine being with anyone else. I love my Sherara!!! =D TMI tuesdays??

General | Posted 11 years agoYup! Its time for the "Fandom's Favorite Fursuit Fracas " or FFFF! A friendly voting competition where fursuits who are nominated are put up against each other and peoples favorites are voted further into the competition until only 1 remains! While there is nothing "official" about this, its just a lot of fun to see all of the suiters involved and to see who moves up the ranks.
SOOOOOOO I call out to all who would like to participate, and urge you to vote! While yes i am one of the suiters this year, don't feel like you have to vote for me. Vote for all of your favorite suiters!
Just a heads up, you will need a livejournal account in order to actually vote, but anyone can still see the polls and voting status regardless of if you are a part of the site or not.
Check back frequently to see new groups posted every few days!

Well I was FINALLY able to get photoshop CS6 on my Mac, and I've been really wanting to make the cross over from Paint tool SAI to Photoshop since there are many more possibilities with the software. BUT I have grown so accustomed to SAI that I'm having trouble with the different tools and brushes and things on Photoshop since I'm really only used to doing photo edits on there and not really drawing with it.
SO! I was wondering if anyone has had this experience of switching and could offer some tips or links to places that would help??? I'm just a little lost on some of the basics like finding just a darn airbrush tool would be helpful =P
Also if anyone has some cool brushes that they have found to be the most useful, that would be a big help as well. There are so many to pick from, i just want to create a list of the essentials so i'm not looking everywhere.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
