Posted 4 years agoThis page is the Terms of Service for Azikira's commissions and merchandise.
These terms of service apply to /all/ pre-existing art, as well as all current art, future art and merchandise created by Azikira.
1. You CANNOT use art you commission from Azikira for profit, including selling it digitally or physically. You CAN however request a merchandise commission with specified limitations (See Term 4).
2. You CANNOT use art made by Azikira to make into or sell as NFTs, or as a part of ANY current or future Blockchain related technology. If you attempt to sell NFTs of any art you've commissioned from us, legal action will be taken against you. The same applies to all of Azikira's art and designs.
3. You CAN post any art you commission from Azikira freely on any website, as long as we are credited as the artist, and it's not defamatory or behind a paywall (See Term 1). While not mandatory, it would be highly appreciated if you do post any artwork you commission from us, that you link to one of our accounts, such as https://twitter.com/Azikira.
4. If you wish to commission Azikira to make a design that you intend to sell on merchandise, your intent to sell must be disclosed before we accept payment. We are willing to work with a commissioner to design merchandise on a case-by-case basis. This exception does NOT apply to NFTs, and you still CANNOT make or sell any artwork we've made as an NFT, EVER.
5. You DO NOT own the rights to any designs created by Azikira for sale on any of her stores or platforms of choice, including Etsy, Spreadshirt, Ko-Fi, and all others that are applicable, even if you purchase a physical item with that design.
6. Azikira does not own the rights to any trademarked or copyrighted characters or imagery, and any depiction of such characters is Parody or Fan Art. All rights of those characters belong to their copyright holders.
7. Payment is collected at the time you commission Azikira. Payments shall be done via Paypal. If no work has been done in 1 month from the commission date for art, or 3 months for physical merchandise, you may request a refund. If the commission has been partially completed, you can only request a partial prorated refund depending on the level of completion. There are no refunds on finished pieces. Any pieces cancelled by Azikira will be refunded, either fully or partially, depending on the level of completion.
8. Azikira will NOT accept Cryptocurrencies as payment. Not now, not ever.
9. You are allowed 2 edits on your commission for free. Any edits after this point will cost a small fee (relative to the cost of the piece). If Azikira misses something significant from your reference sheet, or uses a wrong color, those edits to make the piece accurate will be free (within reason).
10. Azikira holds the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason. We have the right to look at your accounts and see if you're a decent person, and will not do business with abusers of people or animals. If for any reason we do business with someone like that, it's likely because we did not know about it! Please, feel free to reach out and inform us! This does not, however, give you the right to harass us or anyone we work with because you don't like them. Use common sense here.
11. Azikira's Terms of Service may be updated over time, and those terms will apply to all pieces, including past pieces. These terms of service are intended to legally protect ourselves, as well as protect our commissioners, and protect Earth's environment as much as can be done.
12. By commissioning Azikira, you are agreeing to ALL terms of service mentioned above. Even if you did not read the Terms of Service, by commissioning us you are /still/ agreeing to them and legally bound to these terms of service, and any attempt to break terms of service conditions will be met with legal action.

A New Type of Bionicles Dream
Posted 4 years agoWe had a dream that we were an old Toa in search of a young Matoran who was brave and strong enough to bring a mask of power across the world to an old friend, and found one right as hordes of Vahki awakened from a deep slumber. That was kinda cool. Is it conceded that we dreamed that we were a Toa though?

Update on being Disowned by our family
Posted 4 years agoWe wrote her a no-punches-pulled letter outlining our traumas and how her actions hurt us so significantly as a person. She read it. She replied with 7 words.
"Your argument is with god, not me."
Guess that's it. She's made good on her promise to disown us all those years ago. She hates us, for the damage she herself caused. Instead of reading our letter with an open mind, she used her religion as a "You're wrong, I'm right" argument against us. She made no attempt to understand, she had already written us off.
You know, we felt this day coming for a long time. We thought we'd feel something. Pain, remorse, anything, but we feel nothing. It's complete apathy. The person who's tormented us for our whole life has ripped herself out of our life. Our mom, who we loved so much. Now she's gone, preferring to live in blind ignorance and refute the idea of any wrongdoing on her part, and we're just sitting here with the broken pieces of our life, and feel nothing. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise, maybe this is what relief from a lifetime of pain and suffering feels like. We're not sure.
Our blood family may have cut us out of their life, but we're so thankful for our chosen family. The ones who care about us not because of social expectations, but who genuinely love us for who we really are.

Posted 4 years agoOur mom decided that we don't talk to her enough so she's decided to disown us. She's shut off our phone and told us, in her own words, what a selfish piece of shit we are. It's almost as if she's constantly toxic and we're genuinely afraid to talk to her or something, go figure.
Well, since we've been officially disowned by our family, we wrote our mom a very long letter to tell her why we're so afraid to talk to her, and why we have such a hard time trusting people. Don't know if it'll make any difference, but it can't make things any worse. Oh well, this day was coming for a long time and, at least we're able to handle it. Falling apart
Posted 4 years agoLife has been so hard and so cruel this last year. We've lost so much, given up so much, and now all of our goals and dreams are unachievable.
Our fiance left us, our boyfriend told us he didn't love us after we moved in with him, and now just... so aimless. Have no goals, no plans, no backup solutions.
We've strained friendships, lashed out at our friends, pushed people away and burned bridges.
We're so sincerely trying to fix our life, but every avenue leads to the same ends. The people we love stop loving us, our living situation goes to shit, and our mental health degrades further and further.
It feels as if we've genuinely been abandoned by our god, that his plan for us now is to make us suffer as much as humanly possible for as long as possible, give us a false hope, then dash it away.
If the US Government hadn't failed us so hard, if we had been approved for Disability in a timely manner, if we had found housing back where we were, things would be so different than they are now. But that's not how this world works. It strings you along for just long enough to start regaining hope, then cuts the rope, leaving you at a dead end and nowhere to turn to.
You try to better yourself, to improve on your weaknesses, to reach out for the professional help you need, but life doesn't let you do those things. It continually forces you into situations where it exploits your weaknesses, to have to focus so much on baseline survival that you can't better yourself, and takes away any help you were trying to get.
We genuinely did everything we could to make this work, but in reality we are not a functioning person. We barely function, cobbled together from the shattered remains of our psyche, doing our best but that best isn't good enough. We keep making mistakes, and even if we learn from them, life will find new ways to trip us up, so we're in a perpetual motion of stumbling and falling down.
Life has beaten us to a bloody pulp, over and over, and doesn't give us time to heal from those wounds. Most people tell us that our life isn't that bad, but when we explain the cycle of what happens, they don't believe us. Some people just have bad lives, or unnaturally bad luck.
We want our life to be better. We strive for improvement in every aspect. We try to put on a happy face and tackle most days like it'll be the day things finally, FINALLY start to improve. Those improvements never last.
We're in constant agonizing pain, both physically and mentally. We can't hide our grief anymore. We're falling apart, and don't know how many more times we can try to fix ourselves.
To the friends that still stand with us, to the ones who don't give up on us, the ones encouraging us to get up; We can't express the amount of gratitude we have for you. Even if it doesn't seem like it, you help us so much. You have the power to turn an abysmal day into an okay one. You are all so amazing, and we truly wish that one day, we can show you all the hard work we've put into bettering ourselves, and that you'll SEE how far we've come from where we started. Maybe someday, our luck will turn around.

Voices
Posted 5 years agoYou know, sometimes it's easy to forget but everyone has a second voice in their head. You have that second voice that will argue with you on making a decision or not, weighing the consequences, or being the "voice of reason" in a situation. That's literally the left half and right half of your brain communicating with each other.
Now imagine that, but instead of 2 voices, you have 5. They're all you, they represent different aspects of your personality, and every single one of them has an opinion on everything you do... the amount of noise in your head can get overwhelming at the worst of times, but during times of calmness, or easy decisions, you sometimes forget the loudness and just exist in that moment.
Didn't hear from one of the voices today, and was pretty worried but, she's still here, just been 'away'. Nice to feel a little closer to whole again.

Posted 5 years agoI just learned devastating news... One of my longest time friends lost their battle with Cancer. I'd been worried about them a ton for months and reached out to their friends, but nobody seemed to know what happened... They were known here on FA as Vulpeschild, and as VulpesKaimana on Twitter... Rest In Peace, my friend... I miss you so much...
