I personally am doing my best to add the most... idk social media type ppl to the platform to give it the most realistic testers for the AT protocol (or ya know I can just hand these off to ppl I kno very well).

you can viy for new keys when they get generated for me. but strangely enough there are some discord channels where straight up begging for keys (with theory) does work if someone takes pity on you. at least that worked for me and I wasn't even making a serious effort either. im not entirely too sure what you'd need to do to score a key tho.

so I thought I'd take a moment to explain to anyone aiming to add me on discord. how to properly do it to avoid getting rejected by me. simply put all you have to do is send a clear and concise message stating your intended business with me, and then I will eventually look it over and follow up on it.

generally speaking, if ya looking to get a commission with me, all you need to do is specify what it is u want me to make AND for what reason it will be used for (example: an avatar for NEOSVR, ChilloutVR, VRChat, or for whatever Vtubing application you wana use).

if you have questions about any of the models I have, regarding access and usage. specify what it is you plan to use it for and if you plan to make further modifications to it.

if you are looking to just say "hi", be advised 99.99% of the time those kinds of DMs are ignored, especially the ones where the body consists of nothing but the word "Hi". that is often treated like bot behavior (in other words there is a good chance I may block you and report you for spam, lmao).

one final thing to note, even when properly addressing yourself, just keep in mind most of the time whatever offer you are making is most likely going to get rejected, usually with me flat out telling you "no" with a possible explanation, so, don't get to bent out of shape if what you were aiming for didn't pan out like you wanted. (I'm naturally one of those paranoid types that never trusts random strangers with "sensitive" stuff, but I do attempt to put a friendly showing).

When you do fill out your form make sure all the required stuff is filled in and THAT YOU READ OVER EVERYTHING CAREFULLY. a brief overview of who this Snerfoil guy is anyway: So Snerf has been doing handcrafted modeling since late 2018 in VRChat and also has freelance experience using Unity. They initially started modeling well before that in Gmod, making custom ragdolls. So far they have a total of almost 7 years of Blender experience.

Okay, so a thing I need to do is find some of the good stuff in my old works and other VRChat commissions and post them here. brace yourselves for a crapload of uploads. Hi I have no idea if you guys can read this now. but leme explain what that "I randomly disabled my account thing was for". basically in an effort to observe some technical behavior for my school. I decided to see what functionality is possible on a disabled account. aaand... I totally did NOT read the part where it mentioned the 72hr cooldown (aka 3days), woops!

welp while this is a thing im going to continue my experiment to see what it does.

Okay for anyone that is a veteran avatar maker in VRChat pretty much knows that the VRChat dev team has a nasty habit of breaking little things here and there. Now for most people, I feel that this isn't a huge issue, but a few useful advanced features have been broken for a good while. Last Wednesday the UDON update dropped adding a big feature that most people didn't even ask for. Big whoop right? so now doing custom scripting in VRChat worlds is a bit easier and the in-game VRIK is more optimized, and by implementing il2cpp they knocked modded clients out of the game for a while. Cool... but there are still some pretty big problems, VRChat still has an avatar stealing problem, Final IK scripts are still broken, and NOW most of my avatars don't render properly in-game anymore (oh BTW the game is still laggy as hell). Ideally, I'd submit a bug report of this but honestly...

I don't even trust the VRChat team to do their job anymore.

So I will now resort to the, not quite malicious, act of simply supporting a better alternative. Alpha Blend Interactive is essentially making a VRChat clone, ChilloutVR. The difference here, as we know it for the moment, is the dev team is making a conscious effort to address a lot of the mistakes the VRChat dev team has made. Namely providing better avatar/world/asset security and also enforcing copyright law. they also have a more competent content filter system, which I can describe as a diet coke tagging system akin to e621's. They also enforce proper tagging. In addition, they will make a better effort to fix bugs and also prevent modded clients from being a thing.

Now, this is the claim that Alpha Blend Interactive publicly makes about their game. We have yet to see if they can hold up to their word, but in comparison to what VRChat has demonstrated this is a nice change of pace. I for one will support ABI however I can, and I highly encourage you to do so. ChilloutVR is currently in a limited alpha test atm, you will need to go onto their discord (ima link at the end of this post) to sign up for access. You also have the option to wait until the game is released, which right now it's slated to drop this May 15th (maybe that will get pushed back).

one last thing I should mention. So does this mean I'm just rage quitting from VRChat? not necessarily. I haven't officially dropped VRChat support or will cease development for avatars for that game, but I do plan to make CVR my home base of operations. So for now, if you still wanna commission me for VRChat avatars I can still do that (assuming I didn't close my slots). I will keep yall posted if my stance changes.
